Pilnībā piekrītu, ka šī ir viena no skaistākajām, sirsnīgākajām un noskaņas ziņā burvīgākajām bērnu grāmatām, ko esmu līdz šim iepazinusi.

Grāmatu ilustrējusi un sarakstījusi Londonā dzimusī un augusī Greisa Īstona. Manuprāt, šajā grāmatā jūtama Anglijas "garša" un angļu mājīguma izjūta. Attēlos tik daudz mīļu sīkumu un nieciņu, ko ieraudzīt, izpētīt un izbaudīt. Sirdī nudien rodas silta izjūta.

Šī lielā izmēra grāmata ir ar minimālu tekstu, bet ar dziļu domu. Tā liek padomāt, kā atšķiras "māja" no "mājām". Šajā stāstā ir divi galvenie tēli Olīvija un Pele. Meitenei ir skaista mājiņa, bet nav māju izjūtas. Toties pelēnam ir māju izjūta, bet sniegs piespiež to pārcelties uz bezdvēselisku māju. Kas no tā visa sanāk, lasiet! 💫

Burvīgos un gaumīgos attēlus papildina "atveramie lodziņi", kas liek pasmaidīt un līdzdarboties. Kuru gan nemoka ziņkārība pavērt tādus lodziņus?! 🤭😉 Un daži no tiem bija tik mīlīgi!

Grāmata ir ziemas noskaņās, piekrītu, ka šī ir fantastiska dāvana bērniem Ziemas svētkos. Pat mana meita izteica vēlmi, lai iegādājamies šo grāmatu savam grāmatu plauktam (un viņa dzīvo ar pārliecību, ka grāmatas īsti nav vajadzības lasīt😅). Domāju, ka šī grāmata ir ne tikai vizuāli baudāma, bet tā arī liek mums nedaudz pierimt un atgādina par draudzību un māju īsto nozīmi. 🩵

Herzerwärmende Wintergeschichte

Das Kinderbuch „Das Haus mit der kleinen roten Tür“ geschrieben und illustriert von Grace Easton, in Deutschland erschienen im Fischer Sauerländer Verlag ist empfohlen für Kinder ab 4 Jahren.

Eines verschneiten Wintertags macht Olivia, die allein in einem Haus lebt Bekanntschaft mit Maus. Zusammen verbringen sie den Tag miteinander und erleben schöne gemeinsame Momente, bis der Schneesturm das Zuhause von Maus zerstört. Tief berührt von Maus´ Schicksal ist Olivia fest entschlossen ihrer neuen Freundin zu helfen. Nach einigen Überlegungen finden sie schließlich eine neue Wohnung für Maus aber was macht ein Zuhause wirklich aus?
„Das Haus mit der kleinen roten Tür“ ist eine herzerwärmende Geschichte über Einsamkeit, Empathie, Freundschaft und Zusammenhalt. Die Texte sind kurz, in leicht verständlicher, kindgerechter Sprache gehalten.

Das Buch begeistert auf jeder Seite durch seine wunderschönen, warmen und detailverliebten Illustrationen mit harmonischen Farbkombinationen. Zudem enthält es auf einigen Seiten zusätzlich kleine Türchen, hinter denen sich weiter Szenerien enthüllen lassen. So lädt das Buch auch zum mehrfachen Durchblättern ein, ohne das es langweilig wird.

Diese niedliche Geschichte mit seinen tollen Illustrationen ist für mich ein kleines Highlight unter den Kinderbüchern und absolut empfehlenswert!

Fantastic. I had to wait awhile to get this from my local library, and it was totally worth it. The illustrations are my favorite kind: full of detail, Easter eggs, color and whimsy. Simply gorgeous.

Domček s červenými dverami od Grace Easton je pre mňa jedno z najmilších prekvapení tohto roka. Už dlho som nedržala v rukách detskú knihu, ktorá by bola tak krásne spracovaná – od prvej strany až po posledný detail. Ilustrácie sú plné farieb, jemných odtieňov, čo spolu krásne ladia a drobných prekvapení, ktoré lákajú knihu stále znova listovať a objavovať nové veci. Ja mám 29 a zďaleka som nenašla všetky "skrýše" pri prvom čítaní, pre deti bude knižka nekonečne zaujímavá.

Celá kniha má nádhernú, hrejivú atmosféru jesene a zimy. Je to presne ten typ príbehu, ktorý chcete čítať zabalení v deke s hrnčekom kakaa v ruke. Áno, to už je čo povedať, keď taký hejter týchto období ako ja povie, že ich atmosféra dokáže byť hrejivá. Nuž, vďaka knihám je možné čokoľvek. ♥
Táto rozpráva o dievčatku Olívii a jej malom kamarátovi – myšiakovi Mišovi – ktorí spolu hľadajú, čo vlastne znamená mať domov. Je to nežný, citlivý a prekvapivo hlboký príbeh o priateľstve, spolupatričnosti a o tom, že domov môže mať mnoho podôb.

Grace Easton má na svojom konte viacero detských kníh a po tejto som si istá, že by si zaslúžila oveľa viac pozornosti aj u nás. Jej tvorba má v sebe niečo nežné, premyslené a rozkošné.

PS: fotenie s októbrovým lístím bola nevyhnutnosť!

With my head full of ghosts and Gothic stuff, I thought I would take a bit of time away from my other current read (not that I'm not enjoying it) and dip into this little read.

This is a very sweet book. It is about a little girl called Olivia who lives in a fairly large house. She seems to be alone - not sure what happened to her parents. Although she seems to be happy, she feels that there may be something missing (other than parental supervision, that is):
"The floorboards creaked, the windows whistled and the taps dripped, but the house felt quiet and lonely. Olivia knew there was something missing. The chimney sighed, but said nothing."
And then there is Mouse. Mouse lives in an oak tree at the bottom of the garden. He is also very happy in his little house. Until one day, during a snow storm, his oak tree is blown down. Olivia tries to help him find a new house.

The book is beautifully illustrated. The attention to detail is lovely - Mouse has a stamp in his little bedroom, for instance, which he uses as a picture on his wall, and he has a spool of thread as a bedside table. For younger readers, there are also flaps, hiding other details, and I am sure that little hands will delight in discovering them. As all good children's books, the story is simple yet there is a tender message at its heart. A lovely story of friendship, and what makes a house a home.

The House with the Little Red Door is a kind and gentle story about friendship. It’s simple, cozy, and easy to read, without any deep or heavy messages- just a lovely feeling throughout. I especially loved the illustrations: soft, beautiful, and full of warmth. A nice book to read slowly and enjoy the atmosphere, perfect for calm moments with kids.

Olivia lebt in einem Haus mit einer kleinen roten Tür. Sie fühlt sich einsam und wünscht sich einen Freund. Maus, die Maus, lebt in einem großen stattlich eingerichteten Haus. Doch eines Nachts fällt Schnee und das in so großen Mengen, dass Maus‘ Zuhause einfach umfällt. So treffen Maus und Mädchen aufeinander und freunden sich an, gemeinsam suchen sie ein neues Heim für Maus.

Das Buch wurde mit Klappen angekündigt und so erwartete ich ein Pappbuch, wie man es mit Klappen typischerweise kennt. Umso überraschter war ich als ich dieses wunderschöne Exemplar in gebundener Form mit „normal starken“ Seiten aus dem Umschlag zog. Die ganze Aufmachung und Haptik des Bilderbuches ist traumhaft schön und hochwertig. Ich bin ganz verliebt.

Die Geschichte erzählt von einer ungewöhnlichen Freundschaft von einem Mädchen zu einer Maus. Dabei haben beide einiges gemeinsam. Sie wohnen beide in schönen Häusern – Olivia in einem Landhaus, Maus in einem Baum – und fühlen sich einsam. Das Buch hat eine gewisse Magie für mich. Wie beide Figuren eingeführt werden und wie ihr Zuhause auf uns wirkt, fast als blicke man in ein altes Puppenhaus. Das ist so wunderschön gemacht. Die Illustrationen sind bezaubernd und detailreich, die Farbigkeit spricht für sich und wirkt künstlerisch. Ich war wirklich fasziniert. Als Highlight kommen die Klappen hinzu, mit denen man das Zuhause der beiden entdecken kann und immer wieder witzige Details, wie mit der Spinne findet. Ich bin ganz verliebt in das Buch und möchte nicht, dass es kaputt gehen (Leben mit Kleinkindern…) Daher habe ich die Jungs schon instruiert, dass wir es uns nur zusammen anschauen, denn ich befürchte, dass die Papierklappen sonst nicht lange intakt sein würden. Dafür ist es einfach zu fragil.

„Das Haus mit der kleinen roten Tür“ von Grace Easton ist wirklich ein ganz besonderes Bilderbuch. Es ist wunderschön anzuschauen und entfaltet seine ganz eigene Magie, wenn es von dieser besonderen Freundschaft erzählt.

The House with the Little Red Door is super sweet! I have some questions - Where are the girl's parents? How does a mouse befriend a human? - but I really like the friendship and the kindness. The lift-the-flap format is fun for little fingers, and the rich illustrations offer delights to discover. The heartwarming story of offering friendship and finding fulfilment in companionship is especially cozy for winter. The House with the Little Red Door would be a particularly nice lap read for the Christmas season.

De cover is al weer een plaatje
Dit boek kun je gewoon niet laten liggen! En het verhaal is ook gewoon nog eens zo zoet.

Olivia woont in een huis met een rood deurtje.
Muis woont in een grote eik.
Maar als het gaat stormen en sneeuwen, dan waait die eik om.
Olivia gaat met Muis op zoek naar een nieuw huisje. Maar dat is nog lastig…

Een super schattig verhaal over vriendschap, elkaar helpen en je ‘thuis’ vinden.
Deze gaat op de wensenlijst voor de schoolbibliotheek!

So gorgeous, sweet, and enchanting! The artwork has cozy Brambly Hedge vibes, but with some more modern flair mixed in and the added whimsy of lift-the-flap hidden treasures to discover. I would have lost myself in this world for hours as a child, and can't wait to share it with my own kids.

Ya sabéis que me encantan estos ilustrados porque ino pueden ser más bonitos, más delicados y más perfectos para recordarnos la importancia de la amistad y de lo que es un verdadero hogar.
