★★★★ ½! Masquerade (stand-alone). Billie Black’s world is rocked by the mysterious Jaron Rose. But who is he?

In Masquerade (stand-alone) we follow Billie Black, Bill. For those of you who have read the Billionaire Banker series you know her as Lana’s lesbian friend. Yes lesbian! Well at least she thought so. Since Lana met her Blake, Billie’s life has improved. She living in a posh home far away for the Council estates where she grew up. And she is busy designing a kid’s clothing line.
Six month prior to the opening of book Billie had a one night stand with the mysterious stranger, Jaron Rose whom she met at a party. After a night of explosive and mind-blowing sex he said he’d call, but never did and now she’s just run into him and his “alleged” girlfriend!
As much as Billie is set on being unaffected by and staying clear of Jaron, he is set on seducing and dominating her. And so a power struggle ensues, where Jaron quickly comes out as the winner. What woman, gay or straight, can resist a well-endowed, dirty talking Aussie with a penchant for kinky sex, especially oral?

Mysterious plot! Excellent story-telling! Off-the-charts sex scenes! Captivating hero! And… glimpses of Blake Barrington!

Billie never expected Jaron to show up on her door step, the next day, especially since she knows he has a girlfriend. She tries to resist Jaron’s charm, but he intrigues her like no other. Her body craves his touch, his mouth, his cock. She simply can’t get enough of him. She never expected to be so attracted to a man, but everything about him affects her.

This was my first book by this author, so I didn’t know what to expect. Well, I really enjoyed it. The storyline is great and the plot mysterious, but what I really liked was the sex scenes. They are intense, even animalistic, off the charts hot!
I liked the characters. They both are well developed and likeable. Billie was a great heroine - interesting, refreshing and unique in her own way. Jarod was fantastic, hot as hell! I just loved his dominating side and his dirty mouth.
I really liked how the story and their relationship progressed. Jarod's secret was interesting and I must admit I didn't expected it.
All in all, "Masquerade" was a great read with interesting characters, captivating plot and terrific writing!

5 I love it, I love it, I love it STARS
My very first book by Georgia Le Carre and it kicked some major ass. Just how I like it. Masquerade was such a gloriously fun read and I've been grinning from ear to ear ever since I started. The story follows Billie and Jaron, two very different people, who find themselves on a passionate, thrilling and fast paced ride; with lots of scorching hot sex, a little adventure and secrets.
First things first, this is a sequel to her Billionaire Banker series, but can be read as a standalone and I should know, since I haven't read the series yet...a circumstance that will be revised in the near future. Whooop Whooop...
So, Billie Black...she is Lana's best friend, who is apparently the heroin in Banker Series, but Masquerade gives enough background information to make sense of everything, but I still believe it is little enough so that the experienced reader doesn't get annoyed by the exposition.
Anyway...I was going to tell you about Billie. She is a very strong and independent 22 years old woman. She drinks way too much, she loves to eat jars of jam for breakfast and she has teal hair.
Billie is also a lesbian. Or so she thought. The sexual orientation thing gets a bit cloudy the night she meets Jaron. I will not lie; she is as high as a kite that faithful night and her judgment might have been somewhat impaired but she goes home with the mysterious stranger and has some wild animal sex.
Problem is, Mr. Too-Hot-For-His-Pants doesn't call afterwards. Yeah, fuck you very much. After a while she moves on and tries to forget....until *drum roll* they meet again. And that is exactly where the books starts.
What can I say about Jaron Rose?
He has a superior taste in music. Didn't expect that, did you? Hihi...I like to keep you guys on your toes. Anyway...the man is a mystery and if you follow my reviews you know that I live for that kind of shit.
Jaron is such an enigma; you can't help but be intrigued by him. And so is Billie, btw. There really is no escaping this man. He is an adrenaline junky, who appears to be well off and did I mention that he plays the hot and cold game like a pro?! Well, there you have it. He takes what he wants and I mean that literally...you’ll see. *wink wink*But then again, he disappears on our girl, without an explanation, not to mention that he re-appears six months later and doesn’t explain himself either. Curious. Also, whiplash inducing behaviour if you ask me. Oh, and he has a girlfriend...just to drive that point home.
But on a more uplifting note...he is one naughty boy, without shame or restraint and you know I love that.
So, after 'Mr. Pecs, Abs and Bulging Biceps' shows up again more hot as hell animalistic sex ensues and in the aftermath a lot of intrigue and secrets have to be dealt with. But...
...go read and find out more. Duh... A little hint...the big secret, and there definitely is one, is brilliant. Haven't seen anything like it before...I think. And I wanted to high five the author when I first read it. Very well done, didn't see that one coming.
Just one more thing. The writing is exquisite, and maybe I'm just a bit overwhelmed by good writing because of the trash I read before this one, but I really loved the writing and the characters and the witty banter and the mystery and the secrets and I'm happy...can you tell?

What can I say, Georgia blew my mind...I didn't expect Jaron to have 'that' secret. But I was almost sure he wasn't involved in what happened later! Me and Lana think alike :P
But I can understand him right, he's a guy who get bored easily and only extremely dangerous and challenging activities can get him high, plus he has a hero complex...so ALL he does is pretty much in line with that! He comes across like a mix of Thomas Crown and Simon Templar. And men with that brilliant mind and ability to deceive are an aphrodisiac for my mind!
I enjoyed this book very much, great job as always Georgia!!

I've not been in a good mood lately, and my reading has suffered for it. I've found things waaay more annoying than usual and am probably not giving books enough of a chance.
But...
Even though I liked the characters; she was a goth and an apparent a lesbian and he looked like Thor and apparently had a girlfriend... The dialogue had ' instead of " , there was too much sex, too many ! marks, strange writing (see above) and childish behavior (see below).
'I watch while he sheathes it and obligingly open my legs wider when he plunges the raincoated thing straight into me. That scream, it came from my mouth! His large strong hands are underneath my bum tilting me upwards. Whoa... call the police - this is an attack! He fucks me like a wild man. A furious wild man.'

When my girl Cariad told me about The Billionaire Banker Series and I discovered Blake Barrington. I decided he will always my Beast ..and Lana my Beauty.
But oh my gosh Jaron Rose and Billie Black are like Sleeping Beauty in EROTICA..on steroids!!
Why did I pick this analogy? Because there is no doubt in my mind that Billie has been living in a dream like state her entire life…living out fantasies on other women..

I'd get to a point where I was like screaming and holding my breath.
So trying to trust my Georgia and not freak out.
Things happened that brought me almost to my knees.
Times where I was frozen!
Then suddenly I could breath because I should have known that Georgia had my back.

A HOT Blazing Sizzling romance at it’s finest with the most beautiful ending that I still have the tracks of tears running down my face.
Georgia, your pen it slays me it captures me and it snares me forever and any day my imagination is your playground and you can come here to plant the seeds where your larger than life heroes can grab hold of my heart and never let me go. I simply can’t ever put into words what your books do to me.
You want a ride that takes you over a cliff into the unknown where you can’t fathom how you’ll make it..but suddenly out of know were my Georgia she saves me and pushes me back safe and sound in a sweet and epic love story of one amazing Hero and his fiery feisty Heroine.

first of all I need to point out that the way Ms. Georgia Le Carre writes is just like a song to my ears, it suits me, I read her words fast I devour them and they make me feel good...
the story of Lana's friend Billie Black (Billionaire banker series) has her own book and she rocks in it...
she's a free spirited person who always does what she wants and is never regretfull...her sexual orientation is fixed maybe because of her need to control and hold the reins, so she chose the gentlier sex (yes, she was a lesbian) well she liked pussy and the really intriguing thing happens when she meets her equal dominant in a form of a blonde sex on a stick elusive and mysterious Jaron Rose,
who actually, and that is not so hard to guess, liked pussy even more than Billie does... and was determined to excerise that privilege out...
Billies cravings are tested...and her sexual experiments are expanded and detaily explored and not only that she gave in, she took her world and challenged it and turned it upside down... she took matters of a heart and dealt with it...and Jaron was right there to bring her to the right place of heart and her body
but there are twists and secrets looming like they always do...and this time LOVE actually wins!

this book started with Jaron promising that he'll call after a passionate and wild night with Billie, only that he didn't. and all of a sudden, he came back for Billie to claim her again.
I like Billie. she's loud and a total badass. Jaron is mysterious, sexy and confident.
however, the suspense starts to build up as we try to figure out Jaron's real identity. he's keeping secrets, refusing to let Billie in when it's obvious that he's falling for her, hard.
it's not a very lengthy book so i read it all at once and i was not expecting his secret. but that being said, it doesn't change much tbh.
also! halfway through the book,
the ending was a little hard to believe imo, but im happy it ended with a HEA.
all in all, this one was good but i'd read better works from Georgia Le Carre. so, 4 stars for me!

He came at her door after running into him at an art exhibit where he was with his girlfriend, Ebony. Oh and the reason he gives for why he’s reappeared now? For sex.

Billie tries hard to resist Jaron, but in the end ....

But after he never called, she continued on with her life until he came back and with a promise that he’d have her again and again. But Jaron holds an air of mystery about him. A wealth that surrounds him without too many clues explain it and more secrets than one man should hold. But that doesn’t stop Billie from wanting him.
With each day they carry on their affair, Billie falls harder. But just as she is about to tip all the way over the edge, she learns the truth about him. Placed in a situation where she has to trust him or walk away, Billie’s faith is tested.
This was my first novel by Georgia Le Carre and it took a little bit to get accustomed to the style of the writing and slang terms that were a little out of my sphere of reading experience. Sometimes that can hinder the reader, but it sort of all came together although there were still a few words that I couldn’t sort out. The writing was solid but I found myself unable to really connect to Jaron or Billie.
It’s difficult to put into words, with the writing being on point I was hopeful going into this that something would click into place for me. But without getting that spark that would draw me into either of the characters, I ended up just reading along without being able to attach too much emotion to it.
The sex scenes were well crafted and pretty damn hot. I am a very visual person when I read, so often times there could be a word or phrased tossed into a scene that disrupts the experience. There were a few times when this occurred and the scene when from crazy hot to luke warm. I wanted to be able to shut down my brain and not focus on those few things, but I failed. I think had I been able to block that out, I could have found much more enjoyment in the story.
I am often torn between the heat of the book and the story being told in the book. There are times when these two things can occur on their own and still be appreciated but more often than not, I need both. The story aspect far outweighing any other aspect. But without that character connection I couldn’t fall into line with the story the way I wanted to.
Although I did not love the story, I did like it. It didn’t come together for me fully, but there were aspects that I loved and a few that just didn’t hit the mark for me. Potential is there for me to continue reading works from this author. With the bits of this story I enjoyed I think it comes down to finding the right book of hers for all the pieces to fall into place.

Amazing and amazing book,i knew it i will love it, it's from my favorite author,plus is Billie story and we see more MY BLAKE and Lana.I finished in one day,Ceorgia writing is amazing,she can hook you with the story and characters you just can t put down until the very last page.I loved the story and i m so happy Billie finally find her HEA.

This is the sixth book I have read by Georgia Le Carre and while I rated all of the previous books highly, this one is my favourite to date. Georgia has a way with words, painting a beautiful picture and often her writing reminds me of classical writing, or poetry, but with that contemporary edge. In this book she just added to that with her hottest erotic content to date, with frequent and detailed sex scenes.
This is written as a standalone and doesn’t end on a cliff-hanger, however if you have read Georgia’s Billionaire Banker Series, you will recognise certain characters, Billie being one of them. I’m not going to summarise the plot, you can get that from reading the book description which you probably did before checking out the reviews. What I will say is this isn’t just an erotic novel, there is a great story in there too, with well developed likeable characters that are taken on a journey of self discovery and did I mention the sex? Frequent and hot. Jaron Rose knows what he’s doing and has a sexy potty mouth to go with it. Keep a spare pair of knickers on standby, this read should come with a flame warning!

This book was so so good. It was recommended by a fellow "goodreader" and I'm so glad. When, I went to purchase it at the time it was not available. Since I never read anything from this author I decided to buy her " Billionaire Banker Series" and instantly became a fan. I loved Billie in those books and was so happy that this book was dedicated to her. I highly recommend you read those books...you will not be disappointed at all. Firstly, let me say this author can write, her vision is clear and when you read her stories you are able to clearly see every detail of what your reading. Billie and Jaron Rose love story is scorching hot. She is a badass, witty, confident, teal blue hair beauty and he is the rugged, sex on a stick, alpha that came into her life and shakes her world to the core. Loved this story to pieces....hope there is more. Or at least an epilogue in another book or blog.

Wasn't a big fan. I liked Billie's character in the billionaire banker series, but wasn't crazy about her in this one. She was just too okay with the fact that she was sleeping with someone who had a girlfriend (supposedly). It bothered her but not enough to stop seeing him. And the ending was just so abrupt.. And she forgave too damn quickly for my liking.

Masquerade is a stand-alone or a spin-off of the Billionaire Banker series. If you haven’t read (and I hadn't), it’s not necessary to enjoy this one, but here’s a few details that might be helpful.
Billie Black’s character originates in the Billionaire Banker series about Billie’s friend, Lana. Initially (the first chapter or two) I felt like I walked into the middle of Billie and Jaron’s story so I didn’t quite connect with them in their opening scenes. But then Billie gives the backstory on how they met and I started to become enthralled with their attraction to each other.
Billie has teal hair, and blue spiders tattoo adorn her neck and shoulder. Billie has also only been interested in women up until her meeting with Jaron in a club one night. Loaded on booze and drugs, Billie perceived her attraction to him to be substance induced. Jaron Rose, aside from being a man, is not her type. He’s completely alpha, demanding, and in control. And Billie is not the one to submit…till now.
“The power struggle between us makes my skin tingle, but he is also my sexual soulmate. Between us there are no inhibitions. Nothing is out of bounds.” —Billie
As the story opens though, Jaron has shown up at Billie’s door after never calling her again and then running into her at an art exhibit where he was with his girlfriend, Ebony. Oh and the reason he gives for why he’s reappeared now? For sex.
Yes, jerk moves. I was not initially keen on Jaron.
“He is the unfaithful lover and I am his bit on the side.” —Billie
That right there didn’t make me warm and fuzzy for him. But Jaron is a hulk of a man, captivating, and blonde. He takes what he came for, with instructions for his return the next day. Meanwhile, Billie is left to deal with his girlfriend.
Jaron and Billie banter, and it’s dirty, gritty, and steamy. Oh there is no holds bared on what they will say to each other. Or do!
“That’s the first time…I’ve been slapped by a woman while I’m still inside her.” — Jaron
Why didn’t Jaron call? But why did he keep her phone number?
“What’s found and lost will be found again.” — Jaron
While Billie tries to resist him, she still feels the pull. Jaron is shrouded in mystique. And his initial jerk persona gives way to a deeper soul, more intricate person beyond the facade. The dichotomy from Jaron in the opening scenes to the fuller picture that Billie and the reader come to know is part of the enjoyment. His many layers, his masks—all part of him, and ultimately…somehow none are really flaws. So along with Billie, the reader begins to fall for Jaron too. (Oh total book boyfriend!)
Who really is Jaron Rose? Will Billie get to see behind his fronts?
“‘I’m not like anybody you know, Billie. I don’t get scared of danger. I get excited.’” — Jaron
Without revealing too much, Jaron is a thrill seeker with the ultimate question being how far is he willing to go?
“’What’s more important? How many breaths you take? Or how many moments take your breath away?’” — Jaron
Jaron turns Billie’s world upside down, and yet Billie remains head-strong. Even as she sorts through the nature of her sexuality she is not wish-washy or weak. Billie is a strong female character, and I loved how she resisted letting Ebony get to her. You don’t see that nearly often enough.
Meanwhile, Jaron and Billie act out fantasies (these are some original love scenes) and indulge thrills (your life will seem dull in comparison). It is dreamy, steamy, and enigmatic. The story is loaded with hot, dirty, and well detailed sex scenes; an air of mystery; and elements of fantasy and adventure. I ultimately enjoyed every page which never drags and flows well. And by the end I adored Jaron and craved more than just the one chapter told via his point of view. The boy is seriously hot and alluring!

WOW. Wow, oh wow, great good heavens! Where on earth am I going to find the words to give this book the review it deserves?
I bought and reviewed the first three books in the Billionaire Banker series. Subsequently the author sent me ARC copies to provide honest reviews of books four and five and has done so again with Masquerade.
Back to the Wows! This book is SO wrong. There is a lot of sex…scrub that…SEX. Filthy, sweaty, inappropriate, rough, ready and rude SEX. Some of it is very graphic – mirrors, fingers, naughty bits – very rude. Masquerade must be the most sexy, graphic book I have read this year. It is SO WRONG that it is RIGHT.
I didn’t have a few blushes as I read it I had a constant hot flush; with my legs clenched together so tightly it must have looked as though I was about to wet myself. In truth I was ready to combust! It is a superb book…a true must read…just maybe not in public.
A word of warning; if you are looking for romance that is a wee bit grittier than normal…this is NOT it. Masquerade is so gritty it will give you painful gravel rash.
There is not much I can write without giving away the plot. There is a very good plot and all that dirty sex fits right in with it. For those who have read the Billionaire Banker series this is Billie’s story. The time-line follows directly on from the series. Lana, Blake and Sorab are bit players in Masquerade although they are central to the storyline. If you are at all curious you should read the book to find out why there is one sentence that is given a page of its own:
“When you’re twisting in the wind, don’t spit.”
How Georgia Le Carré took Billie and produced this spectacular stand-alone novel that is so different from, but perfectly complements, the series I have no idea. If you haven’t read the series please treat yourself (easily done as I notice that, as I type this review, books 1 to 3 have been produced as a box set and are free on Amazon).
Three books ago my review said “I am fast running out of positive things to say about this author. I swear she could write out her shopping list and it would be awesome.” I have now had to dig out my thesaurus to try not to repeat myself. Georgia Le Carré has a remarkable talent. Each book is better than its predecessor. Where she takes me next is something I can barely wait to find out.

Back to the Wows! This book is SO wrong. There is a lot of sex…scrub that…SEX. Filthy, sweaty, inappropriate, rough, ready and rude SEX. Some of it is very graphic – mirrors, fingers, naughty bits – very rude. Masquerade must be the most sexy, graphic book I have read this year. It is SO WRONG that it is RIGHT.
I didn’t have a few blushes as I read it I had a constant hot flush; with my legs clenched together so tightly it must have looked as though I was about to wet myself. In truth I was ready to combust! It is a superb book…a true must read…just maybe not in public.
A word of warning; if you are looking for romance that is a wee bit grittier than normal…this is NOT it. Masquerade is so gritty it will give you painful gravel rash.
There is not much I can write without giving away the plot. There is a very good plot and all that dirty sex fits right in with it. For those who have read the Billionaire Banker series this is Billie’s story. The time-line follows directly on from the series. Lana, Blake and Sorab are bit players in Masquerade although they are central to the storyline. If you are at all curious you should read the book to find out why there is one sentence that is given a page of its own:
“When you’re twisting in the wind, don’t spit.”
How Georgia Le Carré took Billie and produced this spectacular stand-alone novel that is so different from, but perfectly complements, the series I have no idea. If you haven’t read the series please treat yourself (easily done as I notice that, as I type this review, books 1 to 3 have been produced as a box set and are free on Amazon).
Three books ago my review said “I am fast running out of positive things to say about this author. I swear she could write out her shopping list and it would be awesome.” I have now had to dig out my thesaurus to try not to repeat myself. Georgia Le Carré has a remarkable talent. Each book is better than its predecessor. Where she takes me next is something I can barely wait to find out.

Billie was one of the highlights from the 'Owned' series, she's outspoken and makes no excuses for who she is, spider tattoos up her neck and her shocking teal hair, she's a lifelong lesbian, well I say lifelong she's not much past twenty but this changes one night when she meets a huge muscled hunk of a man called Jaron, Jaron literally sweeps her off her feet and leaves her feeling like she's never felt before. When he goes he leaves with her number and a promise to ring her in a month, a month passes and the call never comes and Billie hates the fact that she's upset by this, she finally puts him behind her when she meets him again this time with a girlfriend in tow...
I really enjoyed this book, there's a lot of sex here and I do mean a LOT of sex but it's hot and the characters are great.
I'm getting addicted to this author I'm reading 'Disfigured Love' next.

For me the beginning was a bit weird, but it got all explained real quickly.
So that wasn't a problem.
It was a fun and steamy read, which I enjoyed.
Billie and Jaron are easy to like, even with all the secrets Jaron has.
It all works out pretty well.

Masquerade is the first book by Georgia Le Carre that I have read and wow what a book it is!
The cover is intriguing and the blurb grabs your attention.
I haven't read many Adult romances and when I heard about this book I was a bit apprehensive wondering if I would like it but instead I was so hooked in the story that I just could not keep it down. :)
Although it says that it is the standalone sequel to the Billionaire Banker series, I came to know about this fact only after I had read Masquerade and let me tell you I didn't feel anything amiss. This novel is a standalone and no way did I feel the need to have read the Billionaire Banker series first before reading this one .
This is one story that does not let the heated intimate scenes waylay the main story. Instead the story takes you on a journey of self discovery, hidden secrets, intense emotions and finally a totally unexpected twist that floors you. I just didn't see this twist coming.
Jaron is mysterious with great sex appeal that he knows how to use to his advantage. The bad boy streak in him and the reckless facade that he portrays makes every woman's heart pitter- patter. His chemistry with Billie is scorching, intense and animalistic. The mystery around him when it gets solved leaves the reader astonished and appreciative of the creativity of the writer. I haven't read any stories with this twist.
Billie thinks herself as a lesbian and so when she is attracted towards Jaron, she is very confused about her sexuality. A one night stand leaves her pining for a man who never calls and then after many months waltzes into her life as if he owns it. Infuriated with Jaron but at the same time slave to her frustrated libido, the game they play is both erotic and a defining part of the story.
Billie's best friend and the main heroine of the Billionaire Banker series, Lana also makes an appearance in this novel along with her husband, Blake and it was interesting and heart warming to see her support to Billie and their love as friends.
The other characters also make their presence felt and sketch a lively picture in our minds.
The best thing about the book was the fluid shift from intimate scenes to the main story. The scenes change almost flawlessly and take you from feeling the intensity of love to the thrill of mystery and danger in a heartbeat and you don't even feel the shift.
The story is well crafted and executed. This is an erotic romance but with a solid story line and some well thrown suspense and adventure.
All in all, I absolutely enjoyed reading Masquerade and liked Georgia's writing style. 4.5 out of 5 to it and recommended to adults who love intense love stories with heated love scenes. I look forward to reading the Billionaire Banker series now and would definitely checkout any new books from Georgia in the future.

Indubitably...SENSATIONAL!!!
Are there really good enough words to best describe Ms.Georgia Le Carre's genius?!!! I thought there were when I reviewed OWNED, the electrifying BILLIONAIRE BANKER series. Words that come to mind then: were feelings of trepidation over an unforseen unknown; an overwhelming rush of thrills; love and passion, lust and obsession--this is how I'm feeling now but much, much more. I even doubt I can justify this just by mere words how incredibly sensational this book really is...truth is, I'm stymied!
Of all the hundreds of good Erotica books I've read, MASQUERADE surpasses them all, I had a perpetual blush on my face. Of the countless sex/love scenes, all extremely hot, every encounter different, red-hot vivid and inventive, fiery, ablaze, provocative and wicked. Holey baby jeebus, my whole body was on fire! I swear it felt like I could never get enough of Billie and Jaron. If I thought my beloved couple, Lana and Blake, were hot, Billie and Jaron are sensational, the one "rape scene" was ingenous and freaking incendiary hot!
This isn't just about Jaron and Billie's insatiable lust and passion for each other, this is pack and riddled with double-dealing conspiracy, betrayal and suspense that my heart was racing. Dread, terror, fear for what might happen to Billie as she races from one train station to another, dodging those who might be right on her trail, like the devil himself was nipping right on her heels. And finally, when she got to her secret destination, sitting in that tiny little room, that feeling of "inconceivable awe" while staring at that unfathomable rare beauty displayed right before eyes was exhilarating. Oh Whoa!
This book is hot. I mean scorching hot, unlike the previous which were a little steamy, Ms Le Carre has really turned up the heat in this one and it's absolutely sexy.
I loved our heroine Billie throughout the Billionaire Banker series and in Masquerade she is wonderfully developed,sassy and humourous,strong and smart and when paired with the dominant, stunning, mysterious Jaron Rose it really clicks, not only with the sex and there is lots, but their chemistry worked really well for me. I won't go into the story line and spoil it but suffice to say as with all Georgia books there is a great twist and one you'll be unlikely to guess, I certainly didn't see it coming but the book was all the better for this tension and suspense of not knowing where and how it all pans out. I absolutely dislike the many books I have read where it starts out great in the first few chapters and then the twist is revealed and I'm thinking why bother reading any further, not here you simply can't put this book down. Summing up I think I might just have read Ms Le Carre best work to date. Read it but be warned you'll need a cold shower afterwards.

A one night affair, heroine gave the hero her number, hero didn't call her. Well, that made me read the novel! I love those kind of story so I didn't think twice and I started reading it.
I didn't like the heroine at all, she's a lesbian and she's supposed to be mad at him, well, she was, but everytime he does his thing, she melts and became putty in his hands. Where the hell is your backbone young lady!
I hate those kind of characters, they just melt into a poodle, they're worst than the worst damsel in distress characters! They appear strong but...arghh!
It was disappointing. It started well, but when they effed the first time, I was like...oh god no, I hope that's the only time she'd be that weak, but no! It happened again and again.... This is a sex novel, yeah, I mean, I've read a lot of books with tons of sex (This Man series) but it does have some sense. I didn't even feel hot reading those sex scenes. There's just something missing, something that would have made those craziness appear right.
I do like the writing style, it's just the heroine, and all those sex, I don't think it was necessary to have a lot, I was waiting for a character build up, or a connection or something..but nada...

Georgia has certainly surpassed herself with this one, she never ceases to please, the sex scenes are very explicate and so well written. Jaron and his dirty mouth and Billie with her lust for sex will have you begging for more. This has got to be another hit for Georgia, it certainly was for me.

Loved it. Was so happy to see Billie get her HEA. Billie and Jaron are one hot and steamy couple. A fun and entertaining read with connection to The Billionaire Banker Series. Not for the faint of heart. The sex is raw and intense and probably too much for some readers. A great read and a lot of fun.

My Thoughts
I don't know about anyone else, but i'm so glad that we got to get a bit of a story around Billie since she's been more than a supporting character throughout the Billionaire Banker series. In this story, we don't get her back story which i don't think is necessary - we get her current place in life and a situation that she's needed yet didn't quite know.
From what you'll all remember, she's Lana's best friend, and as such, Blake has set her up in an apartment in a posh area and she's leading the life that she was meant as a designer. The challenge for her though is that although she's gotten her life together in all of those aspects, she's still missing the one thing that matters most - someone to share her life with. She had been with her last girlfriend for quite some time and that had eneded, leaving her lonely and in a space of uncertainty.
Enter a drunken night at a rave where she meets a man who turns her world upside down. Fast forward us about a month or so and we come to where the story starts us off. She's quickly reunited with this guy - Joran, and well....who knows where things are going to go since he's not usually the kind of bedmate that she goes for.
What we get in this installment of Billies is a roller coaster of sorts where she's redifining who she is while trying not to get in too deep since she's been told that Joran has a girlfriend (Ebony) who she's met and she knows nothing about Joran. Especially that he's got his own secrets.
The roller coaster that we're on though is a hot and steamy one which i've come to love and expect from our author Ms. LeCarre. There's something to be said about painting a heated and steamy picture of 2 people who clearly have intense chemistry and know what they want from one another.
The great thing here is that we get to see layers peeled off from each of them - we see that there's more to Joran than he lets on and through the ENTIRE story we're trying to figure out why he's so mysterious. I don't know about anyone else, but my expectation and assumptions of what he did weren't exactly on target - although not uber far off. I think that where their journey takes them is a nice one - and it certainly showed us that there's more to Billie than we ever knew before.
I kind of wish that this were the first of a series about her, but i think that based on the closure that we got - it'll be a stand alone. Regardless, you get exactly the same level of entertainment, sex and passion in this novella that we got throughout Lana's story and i hope that you take the chance to read and enjoy.
