Filthy #2

Filthy 2

Rate this book
Faye Turner’s nose itches for another bump of cocaine and her body burns for the man she can’t have—Rhett Hale, her step-brother. He is completely different than the guy she fell for four years ago—the guy who turned her down. Now he’s a clean cut stranger with eyes that burn with a constant war of lust and hate.

But he isn’t the only one with eyes for Faye.

Someone else is back from her old life… And Faye finds herself falling further into the past she tried to forget.

***Filthy is a dark erotic serial novel that will release in six monthly segments of around 50 pages each. This book is not for those who like a traditional heroine. Faye and Rhett's story is dark, complicated, and twisted with themes that are not acceptable to all readers. Read at your own risk.***

I'm quite serious, that was some seriously effed up stuff. So Filthy 2 picks up right where Filthy 1 left off. It Faye's mother's funeral and this is where she sees, Taylor again. Her step father and the man who made her life hell for 7 years. Faye, is still hiding some pretty deep and dark secrets, and it seems as if the only other person who knew, took them to her grave. With Faye's return come some pretty painful memories of her childhood, or rather the childhood she lost.

I was broken, a destroyed hunk of flesh with a heart that kept beating. I was meant to be here with Rhett.
I was meant to be bent over those truck seats, to be fucked and used by strangers. That was my destiny. It didn't have to be pretty to be true.

In Filthy 1 we're introduced to a tough as nails heroine, who won't take shit from anyone. In Filthy 2, don't get me wrong she's still pretty badass, but because we get insight on her past. Her character's weaknesses are exposed which allowed me to see her for what she really was. A nineteen year old girl, who's innocence was taken from her at a very young age.

Some really effed up stuff happened in this book, where my mouth was literally hanging open in disgust. Being inside Faye's head as she remembered and relived when she was only nine years old, wanting acceptance and needing to be loved was pretty gut wrenching. And then having to read about how a person could abuse that trust...

She was a stranger. And I wished I could leave her there in that bathroom with the blood and the drugs, with the cock that was sliding out of her. But I couldn't.
She was my stranger. My demon. Me.

Seriously the villain in this series is mental and had me gagging at times. I really enjoyed this follow up to the first book and look forward to the next one!

She would let it go
One day
When the moon glowed with unshed tears
And the world was a different place

The dark continues as Faye is taken back to the nightmare of a life she had run from. Her step brother found her and bought her back for her mothers funeral.

This is where we are introduced to the sicko that is step daddy Taylor. He has something she wants and he just wants her.

I could never be normal and pretend like I wasn’t a fucked up human being. Because I was. I was broken, a destroyed hunk of flesh with a heart that kept beating.

Filthy 2 makes us face the past she has tried so desperately to hide from. Watching her spiral out of control, as her past comes at her full force and she has no choice but to live through it without her choice of freedom. Her story one of nightmares so proceed with caution. It's a story that I can't stop reading, needing to know what happens next. This is no fairy tale so I have no clue what hope I am clinging to, just that there has to be some good in all this, right? On to the next!

* 4,5 I-Want-Something-From-You-Faye-Baby STARS *

I pushed myself up on weak arms and gazed into the mirror. Meeting eyes with the woman looking back. She was my stranger. My demon. Me.

I started reading this the second Book 1 ended, because, DUH, it is...

We pick up where we left up in Filthy 1. Rhett has brought Faye to her mother's funeral. Faye is struggling with the monsters in her past coming to the surface in her memories.

And we finally meet Taylor Hale, Rhett's father and Faye's step-father. We learn some of Faye's secrets about what exactly happened before she ran away... and they are not pretty .

Holy sh*t, Taylor is a true monster. Twisted and perverted.

"I always liked it when you called me daddy." ~TAYLOR

We're supposed to hate him with every fiber in our body. Did I hate him though? Well, yeah...but not really. You see, I've had the privilege to be an intern in one of the biggest Psychiatric Hospitals in my country. I've met and interviewed lots of there for 4 months. I know the way their minds work, and I've observed that these people are extremely deep and too emotional, and not really evil in the heart. Don't get me wrong, they are very dangerous. You have no idea how extremely manipulative they can be, but most of them are just victims to their f*cked-up sexual attractions. To put it in simple words, let's just say, they can't differentiate between .

"I loved you. I always loved you. I still love you. (...) You loved me too. You still love me." ~TAYLOR

Some REALLY disturbing stuff happen in this book.

One minute I was like...

...and the other minute, I was like...

Rhett was still a stupid blind a**hole most of the book, but he had his moments, thank God! Faye already had enough problems with you-know-who, so she really didn't need Rhett to be a +1.

An addicting 2nd book of a surprisingly enjoyable series!

If you want to read this one, you need to have a VERY strong stomach, just sayin'...

This Filthy picks up a few days after the ending of the first, at Faye’s moms funeral. We continue to be gifted morsels of information with hopes of piecing together Faye’s entire story. Rhett continues to berate Faye while being painfully oblivious to the things she’s had to endure. As much as Faye tries to avoid the demons of her past they’re lurking around every corner now that she’s back home.

Waiting outside the funeral home we get to meet the source of Faye’s nightmares, her step-father Taylor. Charismatic, good-looking, and successful, Taylor’s sheep’s costume hides his wolfy nature flawlessly. Running low on cocaine and willpower, Faye offers a part of herself, that she never wanted to give again, in exchange for the numbing high she needs to function. She’s a slave to the false reality her drugs create.

a heroine so incredibly flawed yet you can't help but root for. i especially appreciated the complexity within Faye's relationship with her mother. where things aren't black or white. a saint or a monster. these characters feel very human.

RATING: 4.5 STARS
GENRE: Dark, Erotica
PART OF A SERIES Yes
HEA:
RELEASE DATE: 1 September

This is 2nd book in the series of about 44 pages each! So it is a quick read.

But let me tell you the Authors writes it so amazing that you want to know what happens next! I'm loving this series.

FAYE TURNER:

This is my Faye…

Faye Faye Turner is a nineteen-year-old homeless prostitute addicted to cocaine.

This girl has some serious problems. She ran away from home, and she thinks what she is doing is ‘ok’.

In this book we get to find out what happened and why she ran away! Let me tell you you will HATE Taylor! I cannot stand him and I hope he gets what he deserves. What he did to Faye is just fucked up!

I wanted it almost as much as I wanted the line of coke tempting me on the counter

RHETT HALE:

This is my Rhett.

Rhett Hale is her step brother NOT by blood (Let's just get that out of the way) haha!
I hope he leaves his girlfried Sarah, and gives Faye a chance. But the chances of that happening I don't know. He is too angry her. (I think he is angry with her because he is in love with her)

I really look forward to the next installment - release date (hopefully) 6th of October 2014.

MY FAVOURITE QUOTES / LINES

She was my stranger. My demon. Me

It was sick, fucking disgusting, but I wanted it

☆ I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

* Shout out to the author: Megan! I played it smart this time around!! I purposely secluded myself away from my family in order to get my 40 pages of reading pleasure and not feel guilty for it! Haha.*

[END OF SHOUT OUT]

For those of you who have read bk 1, you should already be up to date on what’s going on. In Filthy 2, Faye’s character is just as flawed, lost, and rough around the edges. But there is a vulnerability there too and we learn the story behind it. FINALLY!

description

Faye’s past packs quite a bit of an emotional punch and a sense of reality of a scared young girl that had to grow up before her time. It was just majorly f*#cked up to be frank.

description

As much as I wanted to strangle her at times, I also wanted to protect and guard her from all the bad, including the word vomit and harsh treatment that he received from Rhett. Ugh,

description

I wish she would tell him the truth! But, then again, why should she, right? Rhett has been nothing but a judgmental and serious a$#whole to her since she walked in the door!! Not to mention, she'd been taking care of herself all this time so she can take care of her demons on her own without him...right?

description

And last but not least, the ending!! Omigah!! What's going to happen next?! Aaaahhh!!!

description

So, my thoughts:

A PHENOMENAL addition to such a wonderful serial!! Definitely kept me on my toes!!

description

Filthy 2 was even more addicting and stake rising and introduces a new character in the lineup that spells trouble with a capital T!! I literally wanted to murder him!

description

Gah, I already want bk3 already and am crossing my fingers for even MORE Rhett and Faye interaction!! Particularly when, he's not being such a douche to her!! I want romance blooming and extra amounts of lust scorching my e-reader! *wink wink*

description

Pretty please?!

Anyway, great job Ms. Martin and I look forward to reading more!

What the Fuck?!!

How.can.a.mother.do.that.to.her.own.kid? To.Her.OWN.Daughter! Clearly, there's something wrong with Faye mother. BUT unfortunately, before I know the answer, she already death. Sigh! evil woman die to soon.

I'm so sorry for what happened to Faye..

description

This was heart-breaking short story, yet it was also hilarious!

He wasn't expecting it when I released his cock and slammed my fist into his balls.
"You fucking bitch." Rhett still laid on the ground holding himself.
"It doesn't fell good, does it big brother? To want to kill someone and fuck them all at the same time." I smirked. "You made a big mistake."
And I turned leaving him there in the middle of the cemetery hanging on to his crotch for dear life.

Now, I'm looking forward to what will happen on book #3!

Faye’s past comes stumbling into her present when she comes face to face with the man from her past. As much as she wants to run, her addiction runs far too deep to say no.

So much happens in book two that it I can’t believe it was fit into such a small package. I did not see this coming and I might have chanted no, or screamed it, a time or two as this story progresses. Sometimes you find a book where you wonder if the heroine can be saved, if maybe she is far too damaged that there is no coming back from it. Faye is that kind of heroine.

I have to hand it to the author, the scenes in this particular installment could have felt much different. However, she gave you enough of the reality of what was happening with the regret of the actions that it read as it should. It is hard to explain, since the blurb gives absolutely nothing away and I don’t want to either... but fuck me, this is fucked up.

Ahh hell... I'm officially addicted. There's no stopping or turning back now.
Filthy 2 picks right up where Filthy 1: A Dark Erotic Serial ends. While at her mother's funeral, Faye comes face to face with her tormentor and rapist.. Faye barely makes it through the services just to encounter Rhett's grandmother's wrath.

Filthy 2 is twisted and paints a realistic view on addiction. I liked how the author showed the lengths Faye is willing go through to feed her addiction. It reminds me of that show Intervention because as I was reading the scene, I was thinking when is enough, enough? And, what's it going to take for Faye to hit bottom?

Filthy 2 is another great read in the A Dark Erotic Serial . Moving on to Filthy 3: A Dark Erotic Serial.

This one has me in tears. I can't believe Faye actually had tears in her eyes at the end because Rhett too her that her mother was glad that she got away. The sick woman was the one who put her in the situation. And for what money.

4.5 STARS – Review for books 1, 2 & 3 (Spoiler FREE)

Genre: Gritty dark romance
Cover: 8/10
Writing: 8/10 – some errors (very little)
Heroine: 9/10
Hero: 8/10
Humour: 3/10
Hotness: 4/10
Romance: 5/10
Extra book Details: Heroine POV; 1st person. Approx 40-50 pages a book. Possible 6 books in a serial series.

Where the hell has this book been hiding?

The 'Filthy' serials get more and more effed up and twisted as they go along. It touches on soooo many 'wrong' things; drug addiction, prostitution, forbidden love, cheating, death, homelessness, rape, sexual assault, underage sex, murder.... And that's only 140 pages so far.

It's drama and action filled, it's dark and it's gritty, it's FILTHY.... it's easily become one of my favourite serial series, roll on the next one!

5 DISTURBINGLY SAD STARS

It's the day of the funeral and Faye finally gets to see her mother for the last time. She discovers she could have seen her mother and said all the things she'd wanted to say before she died, but that chance was taken from her. And this revelation will color her perception and feelings for Rhett. What she has to say isn't pretty, but it has to be said, even if her mother is dead. But her mother isn't the only person from her past that is haunting her. And this person isn't dead. One hit leads to one last sad and sick act. It was going to happen. It had to happen... and it did.

So now that it's over, what's next? Rhett has some ideas of what she should do. She can stay with he and Sarah, his girlfriend. Get her life back together. But Faye knows what she is.

I could never be normal and pretend I wasn't a fucked up human being. Because I was. I was broken destroyed hung of flesh with a heart that kept beating.
~ Faye

Does she go back to her old life?

I want the next installment, like... NOW! The wait is going to kill me.

I received this book from the author for an honest opinion.

AHHHHHHHHH Megan kicks my butt with everything that she writes. I fell in love with the hot mess of Faye and her soooo not correct lust over her brother....errrr....step brother in the last novella. So I couldnt wait to read more of this toxic life she lives.

So we start this story with Faye cussingout her mom's dead body and groping Rhett on a grave...yup that is where it starts this time around!~! LOL GOOOOOOO Faye!! Rhett is sooo mad at Faye for acting so rude during the service because HE sees her mom as a good person. Rhett has no idea about what Faye went through with his father and the blind eye her mother turned.

Her step dad makes a show this book too....WOW....DB......like crazy awful. He is hitting on Faye at her mom's funeral.....CLASSY guy for sure!! Rhett is telling Faye she can be anything she wants to be and bascially asking her to stop whoring but Faye knows that this isthe life she has because the only man she really and truly wants is Rhett. But he doesnt want her!!

I cannot wait for the next installment because the bathroom scene between Faye and her step dad is for sure going to have some repercussions in the near future!!

WOW!

This is not my finest moment.

I read the second book first. I'm totally thinking I better read the first book now and then the third. OMG! Totally twisted and I loved every bit!

I'm feeling a little weird, maybe a bit embarrassed because I really liked this story. I have to remind myself it's fiction and in reality I don't feel the same. I have no idea how this series started, which is comical but I'm hooked on plot. Seriously, a runaway prostitute with a dark past that will make you want to puke. Like a train wreck you can't help but watch. Like you want to cover your eyes and look through your fingers. TOTALLY FUCKING TWISTED!

I was so happy to review this book and am looking forward to the next one, but before I get ahead of myself let me just say, Yay! Filthy 2 just added a new level to the story and the characters. I loved that Faye's addiction was really brought out, and how low it has taken her in life. Also this conflict in Rhett is awesome, along with the introduce of the man that ruined Faye to the world. I really can not wait for the next one to find out if she runs again or stays and starts to turn things around.
