Drought, Wind, and Fire is full of adventure, danger, and time travel in the Imagination Station that Whit built. The book is well-written and leads up to the adventures in an engaging way, while teaching children about characters from the Bible.
Children will love following Patrick and Beth, who are inquisitive and adventurous with some knowledge of biblical events. But they learn the true meaning of putting faith and trust in God and trusting HIM in the hard times.
The Imagination Station books would make an excellent addition to any home library. The quality is superb, and the illustrations complement the stories well. The book cover is vivid and eye-catching.
As an adult, I loved the lessons behind the stories and feel confident purchasing them for my great-grandchildren, and believe they will quickly become a favorite.

Would you like entertaining but wholesome reading material for young people? This book and series are for you! Cousins Patrick and Beth are traveling back in time for another new adventure via the Imagination Station. Can they help their new friend, Elijah, escape the threats of an evil king and queen? Will they once again be witnesses to God's power and protection?
Danger, adventure, and many characters, places, and events mentioned in the Old Testament are all included in this exciting and well-written story by Marianne Hering and Marshal Younger. Drought, Wind, and Fire targets children aged 7-12, and even with a few attention-grabbing illustrations, it is written as a chapter book. Believe me, this is a big draw for beginning readers who are constantly encouraged by their teachers to read books that aren't just picture books!
Drought, Wind, and Fire is filled with clean action and the biblical values that are so important to parents and grandparents. I recommend it as a perfect gift for birthdays or Christmas, along with the other titles in this best-selling series that's sold over 1 million copies!

I have enjoyed the Adventures in Odyssey books for many years, especially when my Boys were little. The Imagination Station series is one of the series we truly enjoyed. The newest book, Drought, Wind, and Fire is the story of the Prophet Elijah. Elijah is dealing with challenging times with the land going through a drought, but he puts in hope and trust in God. He leads the people of the land through the struggles and he also hopes they can put their trust in God. The story also shows Patrick and Beth that God can give them strength and knowledge to make it through tough circumstances in life.
The series has sold over 1 Million Books and very well liked by many kids. Families also love it because they are filled with Christian Content and are Historically Accurate. The books make GREAT gifts for kids aged 7 -12. I HIGHLY recommend this series for young kids and families! GREAT SERIES!
Biblical fiction is one of my favorites. It's always fun when the authors of the Imaginantion Satation decide to return there. It was nice to read to Elijah's story that I'd read in the Bible more recently.
I didn't know I would need the encouraging message of God's faithfulness, but apparently, I did 🤭. It hit me just when I needed it the most. God is faithful to give us the strength we need for each day. Faith is trusting even when we can't see, knowing that God never forsakes us nor will He forget to keep His promises.
*Note there were two slight inaccuracies that didn't quite sit right ... One is that the Bible never said that Elijah knew about the 100 prophets , nor did it say they deserted him. Two is Elijah, who passed by Elisha, not Elisha, receiving a scroll.
I also wan't amused when they made Elijah use the excuse that Baal was going to the bath... (you get it). The Bible doesn't give that as one of the excuses, and it's crude to use it.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the book. It might not have been that funny, but them portraying Ahab pouting so often was slightly humerous.
CW: 1 crude humor remark
My rating/ Age Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars)/ 8+
It's always a little fun to return to my childhood books. Glad they're still writing them ☺️.
I absolutely loved this book from The Imagination Station series. Drought, Wind, and Fire takes cousins Beth and Patrick on a time travel trip (via The Imagination Station, of course) back to ancient Israel, during the reign of wicked King Ahab, his worse wife Jezebel. But really, they're going to meet God's prophet Elijah, who had quite an adventurous life. Fed by ravens. Provided for a widow and her son. Has a mighty showdown with Jezebel's prophets of Baal, who fail miserably as the God Elijah loves does a mighty miracle. And that's not all!
Beth and Patrick learn that they can believe God; that He is amazing and answers prayers; that even when it seems that He doesn't hear them, He really is listening.
Wonderful book that kids will want to read again and again.
I received a copy of this book from FrontGate Media. All opinions shared here are my own honest ones.
