Ryohgo Narita (成田 良悟, Narita Ryōgo) is a Japanese light novelist. He won the Gold Prize in the 9th Dengeki Novel Prize for Baccano!, which was made into a TV anime in 2007.[1] His series Durarara!! was also made into a TV anime, which began airing January 2010
There are two traits found in most of Narita's works: * Narita writes extremely fast, one volume a month if he wishes - with tons of spelling errors and missing words as a tradeoff. The editors like to leave them sometimes just for fun, though. * His work titles often have an exclamation mark at the end (i.e. Baccano!, Vamp!, Durarara!!, etc.).
These short stories are mostly comedic and don't have all that much going on plotwise, but it was still great to have a way of dipping my toes into the world of Ikebukuro while I wait for new Durarara stories to come out. The idea that young izaya spent his time making troll video games is great enough to make this whole thing worth it.
Great novel; it was all light in terms of topics which is rare from Durarara but I found myself enjoying it, especially the later interactions with Celty and Shinra. The Vamp! crossover was also very fun, Walker is an absolute freak and I wouldn't have him any other way.
