From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Marian Tee
Helios Andreadis, the gorgeous, rich, and powerful President of the Afxisi, will do everything it takes to rescue the girl he loves. She has gone through so much pain, most of it caused by his own cruelty. The thought of her having to suffer again, and this time in the hands of a sadistic trafficker with a ruthless and gruesome fascination for violating human flesh--- He would never let that happen. He would do everything to get her back, even if it means doing the one thing she may never forgive him for.
MJ Cartwright has always done her best to lead a sunny, optimistic life – even when all the chips are down and she’s literally black and blue from all the injuries she’s gotten from her “father”. But now, it feels impossible to even consider the mere existence of hope, with nowhere to run, no one to help her, and nothing to make her reality less true.
If all she can look forward to is being a sex slave to a monster, maybe…it’s time to give up. She would never be able to go back to Helios after this anyway.
Bullshit. Hated this book. Hated how you played with the characters. I don't think MJ deserved any of it all, after what she had experienced with James and now you decided to put her with Manolito. And just that sudden part where he died and you still had to put that one scene, so unnecessary. SHE HAD ALREADY GONE THROUGH ENOUGH. And of course, IN FRONT OF Helios too. This is just bullshit. Hated how you played them both. Loved some of your books but this is just not it. This was sick to the point it was disgusting but I kept reading it until that part, only until that part because I thought he would finally save her and end her suffering BUT NO YOU JUST HAD TO DO THAT ONE SCENE AFTER WHAT MJ HAD GONE THROUGH. I didn't care what happened after - if you think a sappy ending would suffice, it won't. I've been invested in these characters from book 1 just for you to do that to them. They didn't deserve any of it. HONESTLY, PUTANGINA

Marian Tee is swiftly becoming favourite author. If there was a way to resurrect all of the people that had caused MJ harm, I'd happily do it, just so Helios could kill them all; over and over.
Nothing on the planet was going to get in the way of Helios finding his MJ. She was the only reason he breathed.
MJ needed to stay strong and believe that Helios would come for her. He was the reason she had the strength to survive.
But, after everything they'd put themselves through to stay alive and find each other, could their sacrifices rip them apart all over again?
Not really sure how to rate this one. I loved it. However, I didn’t like the lengths that Helios had to go through to save MJ. Especially, that thing with that masochist bitch. I hate that it’s very detailed. It was just too much for me to handle. If it weren’t for that scene at the hospital, I might have given this one a low rating. And I don’t wanna do that because I freaking loved this couple!
Oh, well. It ends well, soooo yeah?

I go all out on it here on my blog for the thoughts to go with the spoils :P
This was definitely the most intense, dark dark dark book Tee has ever written. It was so sad how two such purely beautiful souls had to go through so much degradation and pain to get back to their loved one. Their refusal to just give up and cry/die proved how much they loved each other, and it was because of their love that this book wasn't bad.
Mostly looked like this when I cried:
Several POVs kept true to their characters and it flowed well with the whole plot/climax. Everything was a grand build-up to one of the worse things that could ever happen to a human being.
I was beyond entertained- it made me cry and look crazy to my family most of the time. T_T And it gave me chest pains because of how much they meant to each other and it was just so touching and sad and draining and- well, it's worth it.
I warn you that this is a very dark book with things sensitive people may not be okay with. Faint hearted readers shouldn't read this cause I wouldn't forgive you for reading it, being scarred by it and then coming back at Marian for not heeding the warning.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this series and the author with her intense love stories. She has the power to make you cry as hard as you can laugh. All within the same chapter, sometimes.
I never expected a dark element in this theme and although I got a warning from Ms. Tee, I never expected it to be just that. This book is very different so far from her other works but it doesn't mean that I did not enjoy reading it. I guess you could say that the dark element in this story threw me off but as you read the book, you could see how far these two lovers would patiently suffer in doing things in order for them to survive and find each other. I just can't imagine what they've gone through especially the things that MJ experienced under the hands of Manolito. But I could feel their pain and hardship. It also explained why MJ's father treated her that way and another twist to the story. No wonder that name sounded familiar. Anyway, I was happy when Helios and MJ finally got their HEA even though it did not happen right away because of what MJ was feeling.
I loved the support of Helios' friends and that they are really protective of their own. I just hope that they won't screw the relationship (too badly) of the girls who will capture their heart. And finally there is a conclusion to Helios' brother and stepmother. They deserved whatever came to them.
And there's another pairing for one of Ms. Tee's Greek billionaire. I can't wait to read to read more about the world of Ms. Tee's Greek billionaire.
I received an arc from the author in exchange for an honest review.
What is going on with the sloppy work? I keep saying the same thing about needing editing but I don't remember her books being this bad. With them being as short as they are you'd think it would be edited like it should be. This one was darker then what I thought it was going to be but I enjoyed every page. I wanted to see more of after and what the sick daughter would do or what happened to her.
I didn't really see how the timeline of this tied in to the first story. Where was Leondro when all this was going on? Bobby was back in the end but what was the time frame to tie the two in? I was really excited to read up on Ioniko even though we didn't get any details about him. I can't wait to get back to him and Kat in another story.
In the end I really enjoyed the drama in their stories, there was plenty of it to go around. I'm really happy that the author is not doing this short crap any longer. That's the one reason I stopped reading her stories. In the end you're paying way more for the whole story then you should. I really want to read what happens with the rest of the members. They should be really fun to see go down.
Omg I think this books keep me crying more than other in the series, I was like crazy crying!!! Helios and MJ went through a lot to over come their love!!! There my fave couple just for the fact that you have to love that much to pass all the ugly they went through!!! Love them to pieces and looking forward for more Heart Racers! I already read Kellion, actually it was my first one and because I love it so much I purchase the other ones!!! The whole series its a MUST READ!!!
. . Yes, Helios is the gorgeous, rich and powerful President of Afxisi and I love him so much. But as much as I wanted to rate this 5 or 4 for his ohh-ness, I can't. I wished his story did end on Swish so, I will not have this kind of thought. This doubt... regret.
I regret loving Helios. I can't imagine him killing someone. He scares me, literally. I can't imagine. I don't want to imagine.
Heart shattering and gut wrenching conclusion to Helios and MJ's story. What these two characters gone through was too much but it proven how they can endure the cruelty of life by holding on to their live with each other.
Not at all what I expected, which is fine. What's not fine is that there were gaps in the storytelling and things that didn't make sense or were implausible. I also didn't care for how either character was written. I seriously doubt I will be reading any more by this author.
I loved this book, but it was such a hard read. What this poor couple went through to be together. I honestly felt MJ was too hard on him! Finally a HEA ending though, for Hellion and MJ. I am downloading all of Marian Tee's books immediately!!
Finally Got things right you will love the ending really enjoyed the three books I hope you will read and enjoy them too Marian Tee is a good author. Margie
I can't believe the amount of violence in this book it was really hard to finish it. I wonder if there is a man who is willing to go that far for his beloved?!
Oh, I just love Helios!! He is a strong, brave, revenge-take no prisoners man!! He is amazing and I just loved reading the story of MJ and him. What a power couple. Fantastic!
