He’s always been there. Watching. Waiting. And now, he’s done waiting.
I feel him before I see him—shadowed eyes in the dark, a presence I can’t shake. For weeks, I’ve sensed it. The weight of a stare. A whisper of danger in the night air. I told myself it was paranoia. I told myself I was imagining things.
I was wrong.
He’s here now. Close enough to touch. Close enough to take.
"You’re coming with me," he says, leaving me no choice. No escape.
I should fight. Scream. Run. But there’s nowhere to go. And the way he looks at me—like I already belong to him—terrifies me more than being caught.
Because deep down, a part of me wonders…
What if I do?
A dark, obsessive read. No slow burn, no escape, no mercy.
This didn’t even seem like a full novel. It was incredibly repetitive like the same descriptive word used in the same sentence multiple times. No back story is explained, almost nothing happens in the book except for 7 chapters of inner dialogue. Absolutely no spice, steam, romance, anything
This could have been such a good steamy read. I wish it were longer so there could actually be more to the story. I love how possessive and obsessed he was with her and how he was so protective but I wish the author had taken the time to explain WHY. There was so much potential for this. Even if she was intending on just doing a quick little novella, she could have replaced a lot of the repetitive parts with more of a backstory and explanation as to why the MMC was doing all that he did. Either way, I was intrigued and entertained and I like the MMC - just want more of him 😉
It’s a short and I flicked through the last 20% as the writing style was doing my head in. I hate when authors write scenes that are so ludicrous they beggar belief.
This girl knows someone is watching her. Had felt it for weeks. It unnerves her, scares her. She can’t see them but just knows they’re there. Leaving work after midnight, she hesitates at a dark alley, which provides a shortcut home, and knowing all she does, she takes it. No prizes for guessing what happens. Think of another way to bring the two main characters together. This isn’t it.
Very descriptive writing. Full of metaphors and similes cumulating in way too long monologues. Way too much. Was tiring.
This wasn’t a romance. Just a story about an obsessed stalker who kidnapped his victim and this book tried to make that seem ‘right’
New author to me & this was a quick fun read novella, I actually wish this was a full novel. This man was obsessed ,unhinged & possessive . Touch her & he will end you. It's only 3 stars for me because this story left me with questions, and I wanted to know more.
Not the best read I’ve read. Uh very repetitive and honestly I didn’t really find any part of this romantic. In the beginning, I was like oh wow she’s finally reacting like a sane person in a stalker scenario. But then it just turned into somehow she was magically down for it, and there was no like romantic interest at least that I saw.

There was no smooth flow in this short story. It was like no one edited it to check for inaccuracy and conflict. And the end just drops you off and says goodbye without closure.
I'll be honest... I thought this was gonna be spicy. It wasn't. And I'm so good with that. This was cute. I would have lived more details. Like a flashback to when he first saw her.
This book had me hooked from the very first word. It's a short and sweet book, and I can't wait to read the next one to see what happens next. Ladies, if you like a mmc that will do anything to keep his lady safe, then read this book.
It's a very nice novella to be introduced to dark romance genre. Short an fast paced. Not strong language or scenarios but with the elements for beginners in the genre.
I did not like this story at all, it's very confusing and leaves you with more questions than answers and I couldn't connect with how the writer has written the book. I wouldn't recommend this book
2.5 Stars I was really into the first couple of chapters, but then lost interest. These are my favorite tropes in a dark romance, so not sure if it was the book itself of just my mood. Whatever the reason, I never connected to the couple, or their story.
