Just read The New Avengers #1 by Sam Humphries — it’s a bit of a chaotic start with a big cast and a tone that bounces around, but there’s enough charm and intrigue to keep me on board for now. I’m curious to see how all the moving parts come together.

Also worth noting: Hulk and Carnage are on the cover but don’t show up in the issue, which feels like a tease, but hopefully they’re fun additions down the line. After a string of Marvel books I’ve dropped, it’s nice to finally find one I’m sticking with. 3.5 stars

"Not a team...just a group of like minded individuals..okay it's sounding a lot like a team.."

so you get the idea..a team..but not a team..maybe lead by the Winter Soldier to Russia and there's the Killuminati.

interesting start..keeping with this.

Highly recommend for the Bucky and Widow girlies out there.

From a marketing standpoint, it feels weird for this to come out WEEKS after the Thunderbolts* release.

A fun introduction to a new comic arc! I really like the characters they chose to include in this new team who are “definitely not a team”. And honestly I just love seeing Bucky in a leadership position, even if he is a human version of a raccoon who lives in an emptied water tank 😅 Couldn’t be further from Tony Stark if they tried haha. Waiting for the next instalments is going to be so frustrating.

A decent start with some ok art. The team so far is entertaining and the action delivered. No Hulk or Carnage yet so things could get really bonkers with this.

Solid opening so far! Curious where it’s going to go next also it’s funny that half the characters on the cover aren’t even in the issue lmao.

The storyline was not what I expected a lot of satire.
The artwork made the storyline work.
The characters were the highpoint of the issue.

New A enters is dope

I didn't know what expect and accepted everything it gave. I love the concept behind and Bucky is a great choice as the leader for this rag tag crew.

Points for the killuminati being fun, but FUUUUUUUCK Bucky’s name being changed back to The Winter Soldier SUCKS. I didn’t like many things about the Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing Captain America run, but The Revolution was fuckin’ cool. Sucks ass that his name is reverting. Also kinda disappointing that we don’t get to see the other members of the team yet, I thought Carnage was supposed to be here too..
