Ultimate Spider-Man #18 is another strong entry in Hickman’s bold reimagining of the Spider-verse. Peter and Harry finally take the fight to Kingpin and Mysterio, but the real blow lands when Harry reveals the truth about Gwen’s cult ties—leaving Peter stunned and the team dynamic shaken. Meanwhile, Richard’s pursuit of Black Cat ends in an ambush that raises the stakes even higher.
Smart dialogue, emotional weight, and sharp art from Checchetto make this a standout chapter that sets the stage for bigger things to come.
Peter and Harry bring each other up to speed and have some much needed “bro” time meanwhile Richard finds himself communicating more and more with Felicia Hardy. Love the dynamics we’ve got going on here, and given the ending here man Peter is gonna be pissssssed!
The cliffhanger is interesting but I imagine next issue will be a month time skip again and we’ll miss the interesting parts. I think this story isn’t gripping me as much as the first arc did
Peter bids adieu to the family choosing to fly to NY with Harry while the council of Mysterios meet in secret of course. Richard answers Felicia’s call for help and finds himself in a deadly trap set by Kingpin and his minions. Everything is converging for a major showdown nearing the end of this title’s run. Still good stuff here with great Checchetto art.

Back to Marco Checchetto on art! It looks so good. Still kind of feels like too much setup, but I shouldn’t be complaining that we get to spend this much time with Hickman’s Ultimate Spider-Man before the whole incursion thing shakes everything up soon.
Richard goofed up…. Very scared for what will happen because Richard is under the care of the Sinister Six… HARRY AND PETER ARE GONNA GO WILD! A nice issue that progresses the story and I can just tell it’s going to heat up very quickly as the issues keep rolling.
Another well-paced issue. It feels fast but also has a lot packed in it. Set up is well done, allowing some things to subvert expectations (Richard actions) while others aren’t so surprising (Felicia’s actions).
This book is intense and I am literally hanging onto my seat as it moves so quickly and what swings. I also enjoy the humor and character building. Keep up the excellent writing and Arti team!
Ce qui ne marche pas ici c’est le séquencement de l’action. Dur de croire qu’il s’est passé deux mois que les 2 volumes, alors que tout semble se suivre. Sinon ça reste un bon divertissement
What makes Spider-Man so great is how a good writer can make Peter equally important to his other face. Here we all the characters being important and captivating. Another great issue!
