This was surprisingly good. I started listening to the story on ReelShort on my phone. About a third of the way through the story I got tired of the limitations within the app and decided to get the book.

A powerful Queen has lost her husband to the violence of war. Her people are finally at peace. She leaves her daughter with an alpha family to be raised within a normal environment and walks away from the throne. She assumes another identity and her people have forgotten her. When evil invades and overcomes all that she and her King has accomplished, she returns. But guess what, no one knows who she is and instead of bowing down to her in respect, she is spit-on and beaten. This is where the story really starts getting good. She finds out all the atrocities committed against her daughter and her people and is livid. Heads will roll when she takes her revenge. But has she been gone too long to be successful in her quest for revenge or will she be swallowed up within the evil overlord's plans.
