+ Hate, degradation, brutal obedience with ownership
+ Murder mystery with twisted cult ties
+ Secret society and ritual arranged marriages
On Wednesdays we bet. If we fold…we’re sold.
I know how to win.
At poker. At pain.
At pretending nothing ever touches me.
But Aiden Cardell doesn’t play games—he owns them. So when I challenge him to Seven Minutes in Heaven, I think I’ve got the upper hand. Until he locks the door.
What happens inside that closet isn’t about lust or love… It’s about power. His rules. My rebellion.
Our shared past bleeds into every slap, every bite, every twisted memory we’ve buried.
He says to strip.
But I’ve stacked the deck.
In a house filled with rigged rules, ritual humiliation, and secret debts… Winning might mean losing everything.
+++++
If you like enemies trapped in closets, degradation laced with grief, and twisted lovers playing with fire—you’ve just been dealt in.

as if this slump wasn’t rawdogging my ass already because wdym it’s a second chance “they were each other’s firsts” romance but he has a HAREM for almost half the book lmao?? aiden cardell you should have stayed on my instagram 💔🕊️
4.75⭐️ I didn’t think that anyone could be Valen for me but Aiden “ride my shoe” Cordell said bet! This book was definitely the most emotional out of the series, while also being the most unhinged. This couple is the definition of match my freak.
7 minutes in hell on Wicked Wednesday and one lost bet turns into 30 days of Ashlyn convincing Aiden that he was still hers. Aiden isn’t willing to forgive Ashlyn for sins of the past so easily though. If you’re looking for something that’s dark, but also has a fantastic murder mystery aspect, and a sprinkle of secret society then this one is for you!
Thank you so much for Kitty King for allowing me to read this pre-release in exchange for my honest review
Aiden owns a piece of my heart even after everything he endured, how could he not? His fury, his hatred, it all makes sense but so does Ashlyn. And that’s what makes it hurt. They are mirrors of each other both ruthless, both unapologetically fierce, both willing to burn the world down for what they want. Ashlyn is as beautiful as she is dangerous, never biting her tongue, never backing down, and Aiden matches her chaos step for step. Two unhinged souls colliding, clinging to each other through pain, destruction, and impossible odds. They are tested in every brutal way, forced to fight not just the world, but themselves, just to be together. And yet, somehow, they survive it all earning that hard-won, breathtaking ending. Their love is violent, raw, and aching… but it’s also powerful, unbreakable. They don’t just fight each other they fight for each other. And that’s what makes their story so devastatingly beautiful. Kitty, I’m completely obsessed with this series. I’m already counting down the seconds until Thriller Thursday.
Knowing who Aiden & Ashlyn’s parents are I didn’t know what to expect….these two definitely tore me apart & put me back together….grab some tissues…you may need them….& Ashlyn is definitely a daddy’s girl
Through the book you think you know what’s going on but towards the half way point I realized I was way off…I’m so glad I was…both Aiden & Ashlyn tugged at my heart…sins from the past set their story in motion…Aiden set out to punish her & Ashlyn was willing to take whatever he dealt out….they were both fighting for control but I’m not sure that either one really had it without the other…would I say they had a toxic relationship??? Most definitely but you start to understand them & why they are the way they are…I don’t know that there’s ever a good kind of toxic but if there is it was these two I’ve already seen who the next two kids are & I’m pretty excited about the change up
Okay, this series just keeps getting better, spicier and darker with every book and I’m honestly loving it more each time. At this point, I’m fully invested in where this world is going and ready for what comes next 🙌🏼
I’ve loved all of Kitty’s FMCs so far, but I think Ash might be my favorite. She’s fierce, unapologetic and completely fearless. The kind of fmc who kicks ass, takes names and doesn’t give a single f*ck. I loved watching her handle everything thrown at her. And Aiden? well, he’s a Cardell. If you know, you know. 😈
Their story had everything, chaos, heartbreak, intensity and so many moments that kept me glued to the pages. I’ll keep this review short because I really don’t want to spoil anything, but I will say this, the cameos, the little easter eggs and the direction this series is heading in? It’s absolutely setting itself up to become my next obsession.
P.S. - That Thriller Thursday preview at the end?! AHHH!!! My patience is about to be seriously tested. I need the next book soon 🙈
If you thought the top level of unhinged was Ryan and Valen...Kitty King presents Aiden...and Ashlyn.
As a member of Kittys Patreon I have had the wonderful weekly chapters of Wicked Wednesday and wow I was living for each Wednesday when the next chapter or two were posted. So when I tell you I actually squealed in the middle of Milan whilst on holiday when the full arc was posted- I am not kidding! (The looks I got btw 😂) I then absolutely devoured the book in a day...a day!! I could not put it down. I loved that Ashlyn and Aiden had a previous history that soured, so much so that they are now enemies but with a top tier attraction and venomous need to prove to one another what they are missing out on. He wins her in a bet but the buttons that Ashlyn pushes to get to Aiden, well my heart was in my mouth at points to see what Aiden would do to punish her! (and then wanting be her 🫠)- plenty of hand necklaces for me gorge on! The secondary timeline from when they are younger really brings their relationship history to life and boy is Aiden a dark champion for her. I am thoroughly enjoying the secret cult/society pulling through all of the 3 books in the series so far and loving the build up to what happens next in TT. Wicked Wednesday is a delectably dark, morally grey, academia novel with plenty of scandalously erotic scenes. A massive thank you to Kitty King for the opportunity to arc read and review WW.
The story was so very dark and twisted, but it was everything I was hoping for and so much more.
Aiden and Ashlyn are almost like two peas in a pod. At the start, they may seem different but after awhile you realize that they are both fighting demons in their lives and they both crave violence and darkness. They are fierce and when together a force to be reckoned with. And I absolutely loved them together.
All of the hurdles that are thrown at Aiden and Ashlyn puts them both to the test and they need to decide whether they can survive the pain and destruction or allow it to destroy them. These two fight, impossible odds, and push through. When together, they love fiercely, brutally, and with all their hearts.
This story is filled with so many secrets, betrayals, suspense, violence, and degradation, and I loved every second of it.
The story was utterly intense and very well written, keeping me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.
💭 Before I started reading Wicked Wednesday, I was in the middle of one of the most stressful times in my life. And reading this book made me reflect on another stressful time in my life and helped me realize how incredibly lucky I am to have overcome what I have overcome. This is not a review of my own issues, but rather a reflection on what a gift storytelling is. While this book didn’t make me forget anything about what was happening in real life, it helped me remember the strength I had forgotten I had. These stresses will pass. And if you have the right partner (in crime 😉), you can only win. So, Kitty, thank you for helping me with this read. I’m sure, while writing, it isn’t always top-of-mind what you’re doing for readers like me, but perhaps your prior career training doesn’t let you forget what you can do for folks (and readers) like me.
Kitty’s stories are movies waiting to be read. The words are so well put together that you literally forget you’re reading. Something about it makes me see moving images right away. One perfect example is Aiden’s POVs, his routines, and his triggers, even something as simple as someone eating on his bed. (FYI, I’m with him on this—the only thing that gets eaten in my bed is …) And while reading some movies that came to mind were a blend of 70% Natural Born Killers, 10% Firestarter and 20% Girl, Interrupted.
👁️+🔥 Aiden & Ashlyn: The opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference. This is the lesson these MCs give you. The love is an obsessive kind, and there’s even a smidgen of the cutesy as well. These characters have a hate-to-love, love-to-hate each other dynamic. But being apart wasn’t in the cards. And trust me, the cards were almost always against them. Apart, they wouldn’t have been able to make it—their physical and mental health depended on becoming a part of the other’s DNA. Once they faced their demons, they realized there was no one else. There couldn’t be.
☕️ As I needed comfort more than anything at the time of reading, I chose my comfort brand of choice, Café Crema. I’ve paired this with many different reads. In many cases, because it was consistent with the read, and in others, like with WW, because I needed to be held.
🎵 Life of the Party (Weeknd), Exes (Tate McRae), Like You Best (Ella Reed), Our Darkness (Anne Clark). The last one can be applied to the entire series so far. So I’m calling it my Cult Series theme song. My opening and closing credits
🔎 Massacre Monday (book 1) should be read first to fully enjoy and understand the overarching story. Southpaw Slots (#3 in The Compass Series) isn’t strictly necessary, but it will help you understand our FMC’s parents much better. And of course, Red Night Special Edition will provide you with an introduction to how tropetastic these stories are and to Aiden’s dad. I promise he will be one of your favorite MMCs of all time.
🗓️ What’s Next? There is a bit of a teaser for Thriller Thursday at the end of WW. So, I’ll be here, Kitty… waiting. However long it takes. 🥰
Aiden & Ashlyn have a past; she broke his heart, and now he's no longer the nice guy. He wants her to hurt her like he is. On one of the Wicked Wednesday nights (where the losers have to do whatever they're told) at the manor, she's decided to tease and own him, but when he sees her for the first time again, he has his own plans. What was a dare to seven minutes in heaven changed everything.
Ashlyn's always been an outcast from her family and never felt she needed friends. Fiercely independent and "do what I want" attitude placed her directly in Aiden's path. He's dominant, controlling and doesn't forget what she did. And this Wednesday, he's ready to play.
I really felt for what they both had to endure in their past, and having to be the only support for each other. They wanted to be together forever, but there were forces outside that could threaten their lives, and Ashlyn did the only thing she could think of, which changed their lives forever. It was heartbreaking.
The beginning of the book is pretty intense and heavily built on public humiliation and degradation (which she was okay with). But even as they try to hate each other, their bond only gets stronger. The heat between them is on fire, and you could feel their passion through the pages!
As the truth starts to surface, Aiden's perspective shifts, and he will do whatever he needs to protect Ashlyn from being harmed again.
This is an intense story filled with heartache, drama, mystery and suspense that will keep you reading late into the night!

*I received an early copy of this book and am voluntarily writing this review.
I devoured Wicked Wednesday in a matter of hours. This book was devastatingly dark, beautiful and toxic.
Ashlyn and Aiden have known each other since they were teenagers and were both sent to a summer camp for difficult kids but this camp was bad and bad things happened but Aiden was always there to protect Ashlyn from getting hurt from anyone at this camp.
As each summer came around they always gravitated towards each other but at the last camp, once Aiden was 18 and Ashlyn was 15 they knew it was going to be their last summer together, but Aiden had plans for them and their future. But it didn't pan out the way they wanted it to.
Years later Ashlyn knew what University Aiden was at and she enrolled at the same University with the intentions of hurting him (feelings). They both have to be in an arranged marriage and it stinks because who wants an arranged marriage with someone you aren't in love with!!
Ashlyn and Aiden had a very toxic relationship in college and the games they played always ended up with one of them getting their feelings hurt. They were both out to get each other even though their love was not lost for each other. They still had an intense love/hate relationship going on.
But I loved how the story gave us glimpses of their past and of course the present. It felt great knowing their backstory so the writer did this book justice. I loved all the toxicity, all the degradation, all the back and forth -- the push and pull between these two and all the in-betweens with them. The things that happen in the book is more than just about them, the things that happen around them is also great. Many things occur in these events that the fraternities have going and they are BAD, BAD, BAD!
I love reading Kitty King's work. Her books always hook me and I can't seem to focus on anything other than the book I'm reading when it comes to her work.
The doctors said I couldn’t feel things like normal people. They were right. With Ashlyn, I feel everything.
Kitty has topped herself this time, I fell in love with Ashlyn & Aiden within the first few chapters. Their story had me in a chokehold and pulled tears from my eyes while squeezing my heart until it almost shattered.
You came to get wrecked by a monster, didn’t you?
Ashlyn reminded me so much of myself, her masking her emotions and staying this iconic bad b*tch who needs no one was a defense mechanism to protect herself. And if I thought I loved Xavier as my top tier book boyfriend, Aiden rushed in and stole his crown. Then proceeded to lounge on the throne draped in silk. People may say their love is toxic, but I say it’s all consuming, it lies deep within their marrow, their souls belong to one another.
She’s mine to hate. Mine to drag through hell. Mine to humiliate, degrade, and discard when I’m finished.
While Aiden & Ashlyn do their thing we also get more of this intertwining plot as the council & the school continue to keep us guessing on what will happen next. There are more side characters to adore and be suspicious of, and as always Kitty gives all those OG readers a peek back into the parents lives with their own POV chapters.
It isn’t her body I want—it’s her pulse, her breath, her soul winding around mine until it’s no longer ink or ring or vow. Not even love…something deeper. She’s me. I’m her. We’re one.
You need this book, you will feel everything with these characters, and you’ll fall in love with the story. This spice is SPICING OKAYYY. Aiden will make you want him even when you can’t have him and that my dear is a beautiful thing.
Don’t look to be a habit of mine. This was a one-time thing. And hellkitten? Try not to get addicted.
T R O P E S: 𝚯 Standalone Dark College Romance 𝚯 Lovers-to-Enemies-to-Lovers 𝚯 7 Minutes in Hell 𝚯 Secret Society & Cülts 𝚯 Mürder Mystery 𝚯 Revenge, toxic love 𝚯 “It’s always been you.” 𝚯 Captivity 𝚯 Forced BC removal 𝚯 O denial 𝚯 Collared. Leashed. Owned.
This dark college romance dives headfirst into a world where power is currency, vulnerability is weaponized, and love is anything but gentle. Blending enemies-to-lovers tension with elements of revenge, secrecy, and psychological warfare, the story offers an intense, boundary-pushing reading experience that will strongly appeal to fans of darker, edgier romance.
At the center is a fierce, emotionally guarded protagonist who prides herself on control—whether at the poker table or in the face of pain. Her voice is sharp, defiant, and calculated, making her a compelling anchor in a narrative where trust is scarce. Opposite her stands Aiden Cardell, a commanding and enigmatic figure who doesn’t just play the game—he defines it. Their dynamic fuels the story, shifting from antagonistic to deeply entangled, with a shared past that seeps into every confrontation.
The “Seven Minutes in Heaven” premise is cleverly twisted into something far more sinister than a simple trope. What begins as a challenge quickly transforms into a charged, claustrophobic battle of dominance and resistance. From there, the narrative expands into a layered world of secret societies, ritualized control, and dangerous bargains, where the line between choice and coercion is constantly blurred.
The atmosphere is one of constant tension. The stakes feel high not only emotionally but physically, with the added intrigue of a murder mystery and cult-like undertones. The concept of betting people instead of chips is particularly striking, reinforcing the dehumanizing system the characters are trapped in and heightening the sense of risk in every interaction.
That said, this is not a light or universally accessible romance. The themes of degradation, obedience, and control are intense and unflinching, which may be off-putting for some readers. The emotional payoff leans more toward psychological complexity than traditional tenderness, making it better suited for those who enjoy morally gray characters and darker narratives.
Overall, this is a gripping and provocative read that blends romance with suspense and power-driven intrigue. It’s a story about control, survival, and the dangerous allure of someone who refuses to let you win—even when losing might be the only way out.
Ashlyn is playing with fire early. I’m trying to figure out what she’s playing at. And Aiden is a true Cardell(IFYKYK), girl I would be scared. Miss ma’am is not scared at all. Aiden is thrown off a bit by her and can’t stand her but lets it be known she’s is his. These two match each other’s crazy. They have a shared history and have known each other since they were younger. They have an interesting dynamic. I don’t know what to say about these two. She craves the crazy things he does to her and he loves doing it. They both are equally jealous. If you’ve read the first two book then you know there is a mystery figure/person that’s lurking around. I was waiting for them to show up and they did! Ashlyn and Aiden are so different from the other couples. Are they still obsessive, possessive and jealous? Yes, but their connection is so much deeper in my opinion. The first two books in the series had me giddy and kicking my feet but this one has me so emotional. Now it wouldn’t be Kitty King book without spice. These two electric. I was fanning myself while reading. Now like I said they knew each other when they were younger and something happened. We are getting breadcrumbs along the way on what happened. I thought Ryan was just like his dad Xavier but Aiden is his twin, physically and everything else. The drama has been happening for the entire book but it is escalating even more towards the end. All I know is that someone may be ending up six feet under because they have put their hands on something that is not theirs. There were some chapters that ripped my heart out but in the end it was put back and healed. This one was definitely more emotional than the last two. I was engaged the entire time, I could not put it down. Ashlyn and Aiden are end game. Wicked Wednesday has games, trauma, healing, love, hate and everything between. Definitely check your triggers but if you read it you will not regret it!

Kitty loves to give us unhinged men in every book. But she did 👏 not 👏 stop 👏 with 👏 the 👏 men👏 in Wicked Wednesday. No, she gave us Ashlyn. And I think she has to be one of my favorite top 5 FMC in Kittys books.
Ashlyn has always felt like the odd duck out. Even from her own family. So it leads to a less than stellar reputation and summers at Crest Summer Camp. Where young men and women go to become leaders in their community. AKA a summer camp for troubled kids. It’s there she meets Aiden Cardell. And she finds herself in the worst trouble she’s ever been in. She falls in love.
Aiden Cardell is smart, obedient and emotionless. After giving his young teenage heart to Ashlyn he vowed it would never happen again. Especially after her deepest betrayal. Now that he has her in his sights he’s not letting go till she’s punished and begging for mercy.
We’re so use to seeing disciplined and obedient though ultimately defiant children of this second generation. But Ashlyn was defiant from the very beginning. The level of unhinged she was from childhood was just 🤌🏼💋 I absolutely loved her. But what hurts my heart for her is the treatment of her family. Throughout Kitty’s book you expect a certain level of family love and acceptance (given *gestures vaguely* the level of unhinged everyone is). But Ashlyn grew up feeling less than. Less than her sisters, less than her mother, less love. And considering who her parents are, that really threw me for a loop. What I love about this story isn’t that everything is wrapped up in a neat little bow. It’s real. Sometimes damage is done and it can’t be reversed. But the willingness to try makes all the difference.
🍓 summer camp love 🖤 red wings 🍓 enemies to lovers 🖤 bratty FMC 🍓 morally black FMC/MMC 🖤 degradation
"I’ll consume all the poisonous parts if that’s what it takes.”
This book has left me SPEECHLESS. This one just hit different for me. It has so many different dynamics and microtropes I look for and I just ATE 👏 IT 👏 UP!
First...Aiden. Fucking. Cardell. Where do I start? He's literally everything I want in an MMC, to the point that he has replaced his daddy, Xavier 🫨 He is alpha, assholish, fierce, obsessive, protective, emotional, and all consuming. They just don't make em like that 🥵 The lengths he went to get what he wanted was impressive af.
Second... Ashlyn 😍 I think she is literally my favorite FMC of ALL books I have EVER read. FMCs normally drive me crazy but she is goals. I wish I could be like her and her ZERO fucks given attitude. She knows exactly what she wants, exactly how she's going to get it, and will do whatever it takes to get there.
"Stooping, I grab my dress from the floor, step onto my chair, and flip off the entire room, then get dressed. Some of the guys slow clap, so I take a small bow. Hair straightened, I head out the same way my new lord and master did." Slayyyy girl!
Last.... this book was EVERYTHING. It had me cracking up, tearful, excited, stressed tf out, giddy, emotional, impressed, pissed and everything in between. Aiden and Ashlyn's story consumed all of my thoughts until I was able to finish. This is one that won't be out of my head any time soon.
These two. 😮💨 hurt people. Truly do hurt people. And Ashlyn and Aiden have been hurt deeply. Soulmates who push each other until they are pushed off the edge and then they still keep pushing.
The level of unhinged, mind games these two play on is beyond words. Aiden is every bit the unfeeling psycho (unless your name is Ashlyn) that he has been made out to be in other books. And Ashlyn is legit his mirror. Homegirl is straight crazy pants all the way and I adore her. 😅
If you have read the first two books in this series then you know these two have no say in who they get to marry etc. BUT AIDEN. That’s all I’m going to say. If there is a will he will break it. If there is a way he will find it. No one is getting involved in the game they are playing or between them, period.
We still have a serial unaliver on our hands. Who, what, when, where and why is this person organ harvesting?!
I can’t wait to see what Kitty comes up with next. I think A + A are my new fave couple. (Love my baby Ryan so much still though)
Match made in hell-ven. But in the best possible way.
Dark. Toxic. Unhinged. Hot.
*kicking my feet and laughing like a maniac* - me. So many times during this book. But I also cried like a baby. 🥹🖤 THE LOVE THESE TWO HAVE. It’s special. - - I legit couldn’t get enough of them nor could I read fast enough. Also, never wanted this book to end.
OMG this book starts off out of the gate with WTF is happening here, with the FMC Ashlyn blazing through at frat house to find the MC Aiden cause they have unsettled business. While I've loved the 1st two books & this one was frustrating at first cause not understanding what the heck was the issue with these 2 characters THIS BOOK BECAME MY FAVORITE, IT GAVE ME ALL THE FEELS. Kitty King threw everything in this one for sure from, WTF is going on here, how do these people know each other, frustrated, annoyed, sad, excited, giddy, turned on, broken hearted. In the beginning it was obvious they knew each other but we have no idea how because they seem to hate each now when they were clearly intimate in the past and it's so bad and it's like this between them for quite a while and things they would do & say that would make me cry or break my heart for them would always make ask the question what happened that caused all this hate when clearly they loved each other and you know they still do. When Wicked Wednesday comes and during a game of blackjack bets are placed that whoever wins they belong to the other for a week and all bets are off then but to find out who wins & who loses this heavy heated pull between love & hate you'll have to pick up this book to read to find out what happens when two former lovers become enemies and what it takes to mend their destroyed hearts to bring them finally back together. YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS READ.
And here I was thinking this series couldn't bossibly get any better..🤯
Well. That was embarrassingly incorrect.
Round of applause to Kitty King because she absolutely popped off with this one. First of all...Ashlyn?? ICONIC. Bada$$ through and through. She's easily in my top 5 favorite FMCs Kitty has written. She's ruthless, smart, and completely unhinged in the best way. And Aiden...yeah I'm obsessed. Fully. No notes. The man is as feral for Ashlyn as I am for their relationship.
These two had me hooked. booked. and ermanently relocated to toxic town... and I did not want to leave. Their dynamic is pure chaos They're out for each other's throats while still verv clearly being in love, which makes the love/hate absolutely delicious.
The flashbacks into their past were one of my favorite parts because it really made their history feel so much deeper and real. Also....this book put me through emotional turmoil. I was SO confident I had the twists figured out.
Reader,I did not. 🤡
I'm also thoroughly loving the secret cult/society thread weaving through the first three books. The buildup to what's coming next in TT has me both excited and mildly concerned for my sanity.
As always CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️
Thank you to Kitty King for the opportunity to ARC read and review WW.
Thank you @kittykingauthor for the ARC read - wicked Wednesday was a wild ride and I ate it up!!!
If you have read the Color series by @kittykingauthor you will remember Xavier in all his darkness. Well good news his son Aiden has all the darkness that you knew and loved. Aiden has so many red flags, he does so many awful things but I bet you will love him regardless. He owns his hate, he owns his anger and it’s explosive.
The source of his anger….. Ashlyn and don’t think she is all sweet and cute. She goes toe to toe with Aiden at every opportunity. Equally as tortured, equally as angry and she isn’t backing down. I loved her!!! She is the perfect queen for him. I loved how she wasn’t a damsel that needs saving. She has a plan to get under Aiden’s skin and she is enacting it.
The relationship between the two characters is 👌. A detailed backstory between the two of them gradually emerges; bully romance themes; absolute hatred but like magnets they can’t get away from each other either.
You absolutely need to check your triggers with this one. There are some dark subjects tackled alongside the secret society/cult plot line that runs through the series. Oh and it’s super spicy too, which we all love.
If you love a dark college romance, with secret societies and cult rituals then this absolutely is the series for you.
I don’t even know where to start with Wicked Wednesday, because I devoured it just like the first two books. There’s something about this story that hooks you from the very first page and doesn’t let go.
The relationship between Aiden and Ashlyn is simply addictive. It’s that kind of enemies to lovers dynamic that feels raw, dark, and completely out of control. It’s not a pretty romance… it’s the kind that burns, that unsettles you, and stays on your mind long after you’ve read it.
I loved how everything revolves around power, mind games, and that twisted atmosphere within the secret society. It all feels dangerous, like everything could explode at any moment, and that’s exactly what makes it impossible to put down. Their shared past carries so much weight, and you can feel it in every interaction, every confrontation, every tense moment between them.
The scenes are intense (VERY intense), but they’re not just there for shock value, they actually add to the complicated dynamic between the characters. This is a truly dark book, it doesn’t hold back, and that’s exactly what I loved most about it.
If the first books in the series already had me hooked, this one definitely keeps up the momentum. It has that emotional chaos, dark drama, and explosive chemistry that makes it impossible to stop reading.
It's disturbing, addictive, and completely unputdownable. 💔🔥
I’m having to move Ryan Cardell to the side, because his brother Aiden has swept in and altered my brain chemistry 😮💨😮💨
Without a doubt, Wicked Wednesday is my favorite in this series so far. It has the cocky, rich, elite Aiden Cardell, a playboy of the ultimate kind. Women adore him. Men want to be him, but there’s no one quite like Aiden.
Then there’s Ashlyn Donovan. The toughest girl so far in this series, a firecracker with more fight than most and a past trauma she’s carried alone for years. There’s one scene during the event of Wicked Wednesday where my jaw DROPPED at the lengths this woman will go to to defend what’s her’s…..and in this instance, it’s Aiden Cardell.
There’s a past they shared. A deep teenage infatuation that consumed them, but flash forward to them both being enrolled at Northview University…..where they now actively despise each other. What happened from then to now? And why does it seem like no matter how much they hate each other, your first love never really dies?
They’re toxic. They’re obsessive. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and a traumatic past may be the one thing that they can’t move past…
Aiden asd Ashlyn are amazing and Aiden? Sorry Ryan, you’ve been relegated to second place.
I so highly recommend this series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Ashlyn, the FMC, has become my new ride or die. If you’re tired of the damsel in distress type FMCs, WW is for you!! Ashlyn is the epitome of strong independent FMC. She gives no fucks about anyone or anything. Do not get in her away or you will have wrath to pay. That is why her and Aiden are perfect for one another.
Aiden is your possessive, obsessive, control freak (in a good way,) hot as fuck MMC. He stops at nothing and I mean nothing to get what he wants. Even if it means, punishing his girl 😉. You even look at what is his and it is OV for you. So much so that he plops his ass down in front of her father to more or less get his blessing but Aiden is not backing down. There’s just no other option. Mr. Donovan is one that should not be fucked with. Read the compass series to find out all about him. He is a beast of his own. But truly, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, considering how Ashlyn is.
Kitty loves a good form of duality. Her characters are extremely wealthy and from the outside it looks like they have it all but on the inside, they have been through hell and back. This is another one of those stories. Love, lies, and lunatics form this story.
Aiden has my heart. What he was put through. I understand his hate and rage, but also understand Ashlyn as well.my heart breaks for both of them. Ashlyn is ruthless, beautiful, doesn't mind speaking her mind, knows what & who she wants & what she is willing to do & go through to get it, just like Aiden. They are 2 unhinged peas in a pod. They gp through so much, so many obstacles to be with each other. But in the end they get that beautiful ending they work so hard for. They are forces to be reckoned with. Their story is sad and painful but so beautiful in the ways they fight with and for each other. Kitty I love this series so much and I cant wait for Thriller Thursday!!
Being part of the Kink Queens has been an amazing journey and I'm so grateful.
If you haven't started Kittys Cult Campus Series you should! Im addicted.
Quote
"Ashlyn isn't my salvation. She's my stimulus. Dopamine fuel for dead synapses. Without her, I flatlineinto the tepid pool of nothingness. She's the spark to my rage. The rope I use to hang my enemies. That woman is the spit to my fire. Gasoline in my veins . There's no calm or peace with her. Our love is violent, wicked and torturous. And I wouldn't want it any other way." ~Aiden Cardell
🔪Welcome back to Northview University…Ashlyn & Aiden’s is here!!! Yes we have a Cardell and Donovan together 👀❤️🔥🔥
Ok buckle up because book 3 in this series gets so much darker and more twisted and unhinged (is that possible - YES!!) Also I cried - so yeah, that was unexpected!! The writing and the overall story just gets better and better. If you love dark romance I highly recommend this entire series (but check the content warnings first!)
Two Words: The TATTOO 🤯
Ashlyn & Aiden have this intense connection and chemistry and oh do they hate each other. They are toxic together and unhinged and yet there are so many layers to these characters and their backstory - No spoilers but yes, there are some emotional moments that shocked me and had me reaching for tissues.
I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen for Thursday’s book!! I can’t wait!

Wow this book completely blew me away. I have loved every book in this series and everytime Kitty writes another book it is like she is telling you to hold her beer because she has more in store for you. You don't think she can shock you any more and then she goes and does it. I am absolutely obsessed with this series and these characters. You can never seem to get enough and you are always desperate for more. I really enjoyed Ashlyn and Aiden's story. When we meet Ashlyn you can tell she is a baddie and she is also unhinged asf. Aiden is just as unhinged. When we meet him in this story he is in full domination mode. They both have issues that is for sure. As the story unfolds you start to understand just why each of them are certifiable. They are a perfect unhinged pair. I love that there are many different aspects all within the same story. You have their past. You have their present. You have the secret society and everything in between. This story puts you in a chokehold from page one and never lets you go until you get to the final sentence. I would recommend this story to anyone. I could not help but devour it. If you like secret society, unhinged characters, and everything in between. This book is for you.
The only thing better than a Kitty King book is, a Kitty King book featuring a Cardell.
Hot, intense, exhilarating and downright diabolical. And that’s just Aiden.
I am a forever Cardell family fan, but man do I love Aiden. If you thought Ryan was like Xavier, you better buckle up for Aiden. He is completely unhinged and makes vengeance look like child’s play.
And if you’ve read the Compass series, you get to see Asa and Ari again! Ashlyn is the perfect blend of her parents! She’s a bad*zz like her mama and cunning like her father. She gives Aiden a run for his money.
Aiden and Ash’s story honestly is my favorite to date. Their pasts were ugly, rocky and filled with lots of heartbreak. They both found their own ways to cope and build up themselves with impenetrable armors that no one could ever breakdown; except each other. They love to hate each other but seeing that hate and vengeance turn into something so remarkable was beautiful. Secrets, lies and their need to protect one another was so powerful. I mean I’m completely blown away. And all the little Easter eggs she left, makes me super excited for what’s to come!
Aiden and Ashlyn forever. I dont know how Kitty King continues writing these brain altering books other than shes selling her soul and I'm about to throw mine in so she never runs out and can write these forever. I feel like its only fair since these books have consumed me completely. I wish I could articulate the amount of love I have for this couple but alas, there isnt a word to for this level of love. Speaking of love, their love is so toxic. Its bad folks. But its also so so good. One of my all time favorite books is referenced in here and I feel like is the theme for the relationship between these two. They're each other's mirror, they see everything the other person is trying to hide from the world with a pretty facade and instead of being horrified by it or trying to fix it, they become obsessed with it and want to own it to take care of it (it being their truest self). This one is very dark so please, PLEASE, take the CWS warnings seriously. But also know I was howling with laughter because it is extremely funny too.
