For a long time, I have believed that Sci-fi is not my cup of tea because it's too technical and may not be for me but this book proved me wrong.
This book is a blend of science and emotional touch, a mix of magic and myth. An amalgamation of everything is awe inspiring that it sets the stage for more thrill and adventures.
The story is about Kadhir who finds himself confused as he constantly shifts between past, present and the future. The events that were traumatic for him, somehow he is drawn to that time, only to witness it again and again. His Wife Nisha and his friend Arjun can't see Kadhir dealing with this alone, they set out to unveil the mystery behind the strange occurrences happening with Kadhir.
When these strange experiences begin to surface, Kadhir often finds a mysterious woman hiding in the back, silently observing everything. Who's that woman and what possibly her intention could be remains a suspense.
The story is narrated smoothly, there was no confusion even when the story was quickly moving through past and present, between Kadhir's life and that of his Mother's. There's so much happening in the story that it's difficult to put it down. As a reader, you will be lost and confused and you will turn pages after pages because every twist will leave you wanting for more.
The Author has done a great work on the research part. Everything was explained in a simple way even if you don't have much knowledge about wormholes or time travel, this book won't feel like a jargon.
As Kadhir, Nisha and Arjun try to solve the mystery, they come across more revelations that shocks them. They desperately try to undo everything but life has a different plan.
I am eagerly waiting for the sequel to come out as the book ended on a cliffhanger. I can't wait to find out what happens next. There was so much tension building towards the end and the last few pages were hard to put down.

This was my first sci-fi book. While reading it, I felt like I was watching a sci-fi movie. Enigma of Kadhir is a perfect blend of science, love, and sacrifice.
It explores concepts like quantum physics and time relativity, intertwined with themes of love and sacrifice. The story follows Kadhir, whose mother died in a tragic accident. In an attempt to bring her back, he experiments with parallel dimensions. Nisha, his wife, and her friend Arjun help him unravel the mystery. While Kadhir puts in every effort to save his mother, she ultimately sacrifices her life for her son.
The author has clearly put a lot of effort into researching for this book. The time travel aspect keeps you hooked until the very end. It’s fast-paced and very well written.
The best part of the book was the bond between Kadhir and his mother—her love and protectiveness towards him truly made me emotional. If you enjoy science fiction with a heart-touching story, definitely give this one a try.

This book took me by surprise. I honestly went in expecting a typical science fiction plot with maybe a bit of time travel or parallel universe stuff, but what I got was something completely different. A story that’s quiet, emotional, and deeply human.
The main character, Kadhir, is a physicist dealing with the loss of his wife, Nisha. The grief is not over-explained, but you feel it on every page. He’s broken, but he’s not dramatic about it. It’s this quiet ache that really lingers. I felt for him, especially in the way he tries to make sense of his pain through science. He’s not trying to be a hero or change the world. He’s just someone who misses his wife and is desperately trying to find answers.

The story begins with Kadhir and his family in their car, driving on the Chennai-Bangalore highway. There’s so much happiness — his wife scrolling through her phone, stealing loving glances at him. Their kids, Arunan and Divya, playing with their grandma in the backseat. Everything feels perfect.
Then, out of nowhere, a mysterious woman appears at a bend in the road. Only Kadhir’s wife notices her, but when she looks again in the mirror, the woman is gone. Before they can make sense of it, a truck crashes into them, shattering their world in an instant.
Amid the chaos, the mysterious woman reappears, her lips moving in a silent prayer. It’s eerie, unsettling.
In the hospital one of them dies, changing their family dynamics forever marking the beginning of a story that spirals through time, where love, loss, and fate intertwine in ways he never imagined. Infact I as a reader never imagined!
So,Enigma of Kadhir left me deeply moved. The story blends science fiction with Tamil mythology. A heart touching story that explores love, sacrifice, and the nature of time. If you are into fictions that lets you explore many possibilities of alternative realities, you gotta read it. Its one time haunting and another time beautifully written. What struck me the most is how the author mixed quantum theory and metaphysical philosophy together.
His journey through time and space felt both surreal and intensely personal. I found myself questioning the boundaries between reality and illusion, science and faith.
The emotional depth of the story is also cery noteworthy to be honest. It shares a mother’s desperate choice to defy time itself for the sake of love.

"Enigma Of Kadhir" by Venkatesan Subramanian is a story of sacrifice, love, loss, pain, and hope. But what makes the story unique is the theme of science fiction that the author blends into it.
You will be hooked to the story from the very first chapter, as the scene is hauntingly devastating at the same time. There is quite a bit of back and forth in timelines, which will make your reading speed a little bit slower, but the story itself is fast-paced and very gripping.
In the two timelines, on one side we will follow Kadhir, a scientist trying to discover a way to change a tragedy in his life, and on the other side, a woman trying to fix some situations by going back in time. It sounds confusing, but the way the author connects all of these, it would seem so easy. It is easy to read even if the author uses hard themes like relativity and quantum physics.
Apart from the plot, the characters are also going to make a significant mark on you through their emotions and intellect and their relationship with each other. There are good family dynamics, romance, and friendship.
Lastly, the twists in the book are really surprising, and I enjoy reading it. So I recommend this book to all; even if you are someone who does not feel like reading science fiction, you would enjoy this too.

Vega is a scientist and her group of scientists creates a wormhole and no one wanted to see what's it holds, to explore the wormhole, she enters in it and she finds her body becoming light, her consciousness expanded, as though she were becoming part of the energy that called to her, the divine presence she has sensed was all around her, a dance of stones and electron infused with life, guiding her, carrying her towards something behind comprehension, disappeared into the heart of the wormhole, leaving behind the familiar world and stepping into the unknown.

"Enigma of Kadhir" by Venkatesan Subramanian is a novel that beautifully and seamlessly blends the themes of love, emotions, pain, and heartbreaks into science fiction. Which is quite surprising for me!
The story starts with a devastating yet suspenseful scene that will hook you to the story from the very moment. In the next chapter we will go back in time and meet with young Kadhir and all the mysteries that surround his life. And also Kadhir's fights to rewrite his life.
The story is fast-paced mainly, but in between it slows down, especially when the science theories are given. But I still think the whole theories around relativity, time travel, and quantum mechanics are simplified by the author so that the flow of the story does not break. And the way the author puts the emotional and philosophical parts with the science part is remarkable. I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Another thing I like about the book is even though it is a science fiction book, the author did well in fleshing out the characters and not just the main protagonists, Kadhir and Nisha, but also Arjun, Kadhir's father, etc. Overall, the story is a good one and can be a good, thrilling sci-fi romance read.

Enigma of Kadhir is an emotional sci-fi novel that really stayed with me. Big shoutout to the author, Venkatesan Subramanian, for writing such a unique and touching story.
The book follows Kadhir, who loses his mother in a tragic incident. What I loved most was how the story beautifully balances science with strong emotions. Kadhir’s love for his mother and his efforts to save her across different timelines are deeply moving. And no matter which version of reality they’re in, his mother always ends up sacrificing herself to save him. That really got me emotional.
Kadhir’s wife Nisha and their friend Arjun also play a big role in helping him solve the mystery. Their support adds a lot of warmth to the story.
The author clearly put a lot of research into quantum physics and time anomalies. Some parts were a bit hard for me to fully understand, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story. The science adds depth, but it’s the emotional side of the story that makes it special.
If you enjoy sci-fi stories with heart, love, and emotion, this book is definitely worth reading. It also gives off a total movie vibe—I could picture every scene while reading.

Kadhir, our overthinking genius with a PhD in “Why is everything so weird?”, stumbles into events that make reality look like a badly programmed video game. Spoiler: nothing is as it seems, and your brain willhurt (in a good way).
Then we have Nisha—part emotional support human, part detective, all badass. She’s the kind of character who calmly decodes the chaos while the rest of us are still Googling “what is fate?” If Kadhir is the brain, Nisha is the backbone. Together? Chaos, but make it intellectual.
Arjun is the “I only believe what I can measure” guy, and watching him try to stay logical while reality dissolves is… satisfying. And Ravi? Quiet, wholesome, and low-key the emotional anchor of the whole thing. He’s that character you underestimate until you realize he’s been shaping the story from the sidelines the entire time.
