my pros and cons of each book:
❤️ GOM- (finished july 21)
pros:
the first book. bran was there. i liked glyn’s parents’ book.
❌ cons:
why did killian s/a her?? killian was so annoying but at least he got better. glyn was so insufferable im sorry why was she blaming all her problems on being the forgotten child when she’s literally her grandparents’ favorite and she’s the literal ONLY daughter in the king family and gets literally all her family’s attention??? i feel like rina tried to embody astrid’s energy but astrid was a bad bitch with some backbone but glyn was a wet blanket.
💜 GOP- (finished july 22)
pros:
i love grumpy x sunshine!!! annika and creigh sound soooo sweet in concept. annika gave real mafia princess.
❌ cons:
what the fucking shit was that plot…also i did not like creigh kidnapping annika because she seemed like a wilted flower and he just kept banging her like yes she shot you but like you threatened her brother…also idk i LOVE bsdm but i feel like creigh was just too emotionally disconnected and i hate reading doms like that it hurts my heart to read 😢 i liked annika but she needed to stop saying tchaikovsky . I feel like annika and creighton would work way better as a vanilla couple but maybe that’s just me?

cecily being a yaoi fan! serious smart nerd girl trope very cute. jeremy was so fucking hot omg…also jeremy and nikos bromance was so funny and cute like 😭😭 the primal kink was also 😩🥴😍 AHGH. bro also cecily’s dad calling jeremy a LIZARD😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭also i loved cecily and ava’s relationship SM! landon was so fucking funny in this oh my god when he ragebaited jeremy 😭😭😭

the second hand embarrassment i got when cecily thought she sent a sext to landon and not jeremy

CHESS MENTIONED 🥹🥹🥹🥹 #lovechess!!!!! the three stars are for literally only chess bro. landon is so funny and he’s genuinely so delusional that he’s hilarious ALSO he has the best character development of all MMCs i dont make the rules. loved that mia called out landon’s shit. mia and maya’s twinship and landon and brandon’s twinship were very good foils. (mm being good in the beginning then bad and lb being vice versa) i loved that mia was alternative without being “not like the other girls” she never judged her sister for being stereotypically feminine (until the end but ignore the fucking end bro)
❌ cons:
this copied each of the previous books btw, most noticeably: GOWrath. the primal kink wasn’t even as good as gowrath landon im sorry but you are a pretty british boy NOT the vibe for the beast thing that jeremy’s got. i wished mia was more bratty. like why was she so submisssive GODDDDD. also why the fucking shit is it in every single rina kent forbidden romance that they have a secret unused house/apartment/place that the MMC has that they fuck in. this has happened in 4 of ms kent’s books that i’ve read so far like gtfo (cruel king, GOWrath, GOR, GOF). i have soooooo many problems with this plot too. like why did everything happen last chapter. why was maya blamed for being a jealous child…she was…a child…that doesn’t mean she’s fucking responsible for mia getting tortured???? 🤦♀️ ITS THE TORTURERS FAULT???? AND THE TORTURER WAS…THE NANNY??? Who was NEVER mentioned till the last chapter btw..i’m still not over this…
why: lan putting mia on a blank canvas when taking her virginity so he could use the blood for an art project………….creative!
💛 GOF- (finished july 9, read first!!)
pros:
lowkey everything. i love bran so so so so so so so much he is so sweet and smart and i cry he’s so precious like Stop hurting yourself💔it wasn’t your fault 💔you were just a kid 💔…anyways niko was so fucking funny bro 😭😭😭 he has the arrogant energy of landon but he’s 10x better im sorry (but lan does have the funniest line AHEM your dear brother is a bit thick, isn’t he AHEM). also niko is…such a sweetheart??? actually he has the better character development than landon by a long shot ignore i said that about landon. like niko was such a hoe and then he saw bran and his dick only worked for him. he was sooo devoted and he became SUCH a sweetheart for him. i’m shocked that nikobran is the most green flag relationship in the series. also i love love love how niko was so sweet to bran’s parents. also their sex scenes were always so hot even tho they were the most vanilla and didn’t do anything very kinky. this was def a more emotional book, despite them being freaky.

IF I HAVE TO READ NIKO SAY “to-may-to, to-mah-to” FOR THE 18TH FUCKING TIME IM BURNINGTHE BOOK. also the book should’ve been longer tf. also didn’t like the misogynistic portrayal bran’s ex💔

pros:
ava is ugh i love ava…she’s so different from rina’s other fmcs. i love that she’s so extroverted and girly and AHH I LOE HER SO SO MUCH. and eli…waow…he’s a hottie. their scenes were HOT. I LOVE HOW AVA WAS SO BRATTY LIKE AHHHH YESSSSS AND ELI BEING A BRAT TAMER 😍😍😍😍😍!!!! that scene when ava goes to his office in that tiny dress 😩😩😩😩😫!!! and like UGH he cared so much about her and and he did everything for her and he gave her space and he never judged her mental issues and 🥹🥹🥹IM SOBBING HE LET HER STAB HIM😭😭😭I CRIED SO HARD OVER THIS BOOK!!! also eli actually had the best character development sorry niko!! i liked that his wasn’t college setting too so it seemed like it was more mature of a read if that makes sense…?

why the fucking shit was ava a virgin like no this isn’t funny each and every one of the FMCs from this series were virgins. ava was literally the only one who was sex positive and wtf idk it just UGHHHH it’s like rina kent thinks that women who aren’t virgins CANT be main characters also the vibes of the book were so different from the other books that it didn’t even feel like it was from the same series

This series? Wow.
Crazy but in the end you love all the characters. I love the relationships and friendships 💗 and it has my heart.
My first dark romance series that’d this long.
There were some things I didn’t like or didn’t agree with but otherwise I enjoyed this journey a lot.

How can you not love this entire series? Yes THE ENTIRE series! Even KISS the controversial one! I’m obsessed with each and every book. Love them all they all belong and they are all here to stay. I personally enjoyed every single couple. Thank you Rina!
