Hickman and Checchetto continue their stellar run with Ultimate Spider-Man #19. The emotional stakes climb higher, with MJ getting some standout moments—and the scene with Richard as Venom is a chilling, unforgettable highlight. The tension is perfectly paced, the dialogue sharp, and the art as cinematic as ever. This series keeps finding new ways to surprise, and that final page hits hard.
This issue felt so intentional and well paced. The dialogue and back and forth were terrific. It truly feels like things are building to a head and I can't wait to see it happen.
Okay did NOT expect the ambush laid for Richard to turn out as it did, that was freakin awesome. Things keep on rolling as Kingpin begins to question Kraven’s absence and MJ have a serious talk with Peter. Things seem to be on the precipice of shit hitting the fan and I’m loving the build up.
“Close your eyes, Son… and don’t open them until I tell you too.”
It’s still great. But knowing it ends in 5 issues is extremely disheartening. This series barely dipped its toes into its potential. There was a 100 issue run waiting to happen here that would’ve been an all-timer.
Yet again, I'm glad to have a family in media depicted having open, honest communication with each other. I continue to love this depiction of a Peter who is a great family man, balancing what needs to be done.

chill issue. peter and mj's relationship is really strong in this one and clearly they just want whats best for their lives and themselves as well. hope everything goes better for them...hopefully.
Holy shit Venom is so cool. I love the different take on Venom where he’s a protective AI instead of a Spider-Man foe. Venom was so brutal and scary jesus…. A chill issue compared to others but the lead up will get crazy as we’re nearing the end :(
