✨Although this was a short book, it packed a lot in. Right from the start it grabbed my attention. It was a cute love story with the right amount of spice. There’s just something about a sports romance book thqt I love and enjoy.

Maybe it’s just me, but I absolutely love a short and sweet love story to break up the intensity of the heavier books I usually read—and Fourth Down Forever was exactly that. Quick, fun, and just the right amount of spice!
This story has everything I enjoy in a light romance: a football setting, an accidental marriage trope, a confident, curvy heroine, and sizzling chemistry. It’s the kind of book you can breeze through in one sitting and still feel totally satisfied.
If you’re into sports romances or just want a flirty, feel-good read, I’d definitely recommend this one. I’ve read another one of Nichole Ruschelle’s books, and they’re always a blast. Her short romances pack a lot of charm and heart. Don’t miss out if you’re looking for something fun and easy to fall into!

This book had me giggling and swooning and then it turned hot and heady. The way Sam and Kade fought the lust they both had for each had the angst turned up! if you are looking for a quick read this should be on your Kindle. I marvel how an author can fit a great story into a short read and not make the reader feel they missed something.
I was very remiss thinking the mc could redeem himself but he did. fc was written well and had deep dynamics for a short read.

But bachelor/bachorlette parties can lead to some very unintentional decisions…
This is another of those cute, quick reads, a splash of spice, a little bit of drama, and a sweet ending. I give it a 3.75 ⭐️, I’m not the biggest sports fan but honestly, very little is to do with the sports and more to the fast burn second chance romance side of things ☺️ thank you to the author for allowing me to read this

It is very one-dimensional. There is no depth to the relationship. You, as the reader, literally find out Sam, our fl, ghosted Kade, our ml, because she caught him cheating with a girl on his lap at the place she works. Did she confront him? Nope, did she bring it up after they were married? Nope. There was really no discussion on that part, or him groveling; nothing really. The only reason he wanted to stay married at first was because his job was on the line after the very public announcement of the marriage, when both of them were completely blackout drunk. That was also the same night he wanted to take home the bartender and not Sam. Does this sound like Kade stayed married to Sam because he loves her and sees her as his soulmate? Nope. He makes her move in with him to sell the fact that they are married because of his job. Yeah, it is a fake marriage for a bit until they have sex. Then it becomes real. Wow, sex really made their relationship strong. Yeah, Kade touches on why he runs away from committed relationships, but I felt nothing when he talked about it. Did I feel her pain when she had self-doubt about his feelings, and how hurt she was when he cheated in the past? Nope.
Honestly, I did not enjoy it. I recommend you read to form you own opinion on the book. I just would have like more from the book yeah I get its a short book but still man I need more details and dimension. Yes you see characters from her other books and she plants seeds for her next. Even if she made it longer to go into detail on the characters and relationship I think honestly it would have been better.

I would rate this 4.5 ⭐
This was a quick, fast paced novella. These books are great for wanting a pallette cleanser in between other genres or longer books, or just to add more books in your reading count.
Samantha and Kade were messing around and then stopped now they are at a their friends bachelor and bachelorette mixed party. They get drunk and end up married.
I really enjoy reading the accidental marriage trope. In novellas sometimes it's harder to fully except couples especially if you prefer more of a slow burn. Kade and Samantha already were together so they already know each other so to be that's believable. Also I like that even though Kade is hard set on no marriage and how awful they are he doesn't want an anulment. They way he decides to stay married isn't exactly the best but the overall outcome is what matters. The way he says something to girls talking about Samantha I loved that. Samantha still likes him even after everything. I admire her cause liking someone who wants different things is hard. Also when she things maybe she shouldn't be in his world because she is different and curvy again I can relate.
I really enjoyed this books and think more people should read it.

Semi-spoilers ahead...
This one really should've been a DNF for me, but I stuck it out because it was so short. The storyline was ok, but it read like a Wattpad piece, like it was written by a teen and with no real depth. Every thought has been tossed onto the pages, spelled out for the reader as though they are otherwise unable to read between the lines.
Kade and Sam are both pretty juvenile and there isn't much character development there. In fact, I experienced a bit of whiplash from the abrupt change in their feelings about their situation, especially Kade's. They went from hating each other, to getting drunk and married, then are both pretty chill about it and each other pretty quickly the next morning once the shock wears off. Kade has one conversation with his coach and suddenly all of his animosity towards marriage is gone. It's not like he's still angry but staying for his coach, either. He's jumping from hating marriage to genuinely wanting it to work. It just doesn't flow.
Another issue was the major character and plot contradictions. One of the most notable is when Kade says he hadn't been with anyone since her, even though he had been actively preparing to sleep with the bartender/waitress at the bachelor party before he knew Sam was going to be there...so his claim isn't believable.
Overall, I'd give this one a miss.

Sam and Kade have a second chance at having a real relationship after they accidentally get drunk and Wake up married.
Final thoughts: I absolutely love how this author's characters always have such high energy throughout the entire story. This may have to do in part with the fact the stories are novellas and do not have room for a lull in the story. While being a novella, it makes it short and fun and easy to read but I felt like this story in particular had a lot more room for a longer novel. I want to see Sam and Kade's characters grow. I want to see more of the banter between them. Honestly I want to see Sam get back at those two girls in the bathroom. I just want more ...
I love how sincere both Sam and Kade were in their convictions whether they were angry, happy, or just in the heat of the moment. Yet the only thing I really disliked about this book was absolutely everybody had issues with communication at one point. Sam didn't tell Janae about what really happened with Kade. Kade couldn't communicate to Sam how he really felt. Janae could not communicate to Kade what really happened in the bathroom without a lot of unnecessary prodding. Finally this book felt more like a prequel to a longer book.
There is so much more room for character development and to move more forward with the story.

I loved how Samantha always speaks her mind. She knows what she wants, and how to utilize opportunities presented to her to get those things. I loved that she has this tough, sassy exterior and I really loved when she would let Kade see underneath that to all of her vulnerabilities. Readers will absolutely love her and empathize with her.
Kade is such a sweetheart. He is head over heels for Samantha, and he refuses to allow anyone to speak about her in any negative way. He wants nothing but the best for her, and if he can help her get what she wants, he dives in without question. I absolutely loved him, and I can easily see readers falling for him just as Samantha does.

This was a cute and fun novella about Samantha and Kade :) before their best friends got engaged, they had a friends with benefits kind of relationship. Samantha wanted more for the relationship but Kade has commitment issues that made him freak out and start to distance himself from Samantha. They end up breaking up and now they have to deal with their feelings when it’s their best friends bachelorette and bachelor’s parties combined.
And the saying goes, whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. In this case, it is literally quite the opposite 🤭 after drinking so much and partying out, these two wake up next to each other, without a doubt in the world about what just happened. Turns out, getting drunk and being next to your ex can become an episode of Friends, “The One in Vegas” 🙂↕️🤭
This was such a fun read and seeing these two have to balance out their dislikes, and emotions at the same time was so funny and heartwarming ❤️ although it’s a novella, it was straight to the point and showcased Kade and Samantha’s journey of realizing how they feel for each other.

This was such a fun read and seeing these two have to balance out their dislikes, and emotions at the same time was so funny and heartwarming ❤️ although it’s a novella, it was straight to the point and showcased Kade and Samantha’s journey of realizing how they feel for each other.

Nichole Rushelle knows how to write a short, sweet story that delivers spice, connection, and storyline that is complete. In Fourth Down Forever, part of the Vegas…Oh, S*** series, she provides this again in spectacular form.
Kade and Samantha threatened to set this short book aflame with their chemistry. I couldn’t get enough of them and would have gladly read a full length novel revolving around them. They provide a great escape from real life and helped get me out of a reading slump. I loved their witty banter, the electricity that flowed between them, and all their spice.
Nichole also packs in the perfect amount of drama within her short stories. Her FMCs are strong, independent, and determined, while her MMCs are charming, swoon worthy, and always come to realize what they have before it’s too late. Need a book to help get out of a rut or a book hangover? Nichole is an author you should definitely read!

This novella is an angsty, sexy second chance at love romance. Samantha and Kade were once lovers until she developed deeper feelings and he proved to her that he wasn’t interested in any form of commitment. Fast forward a year, Samantha and Kade can’t avoid each other as they celebrate the upcoming wedding of their best friends. After overindulging in the alcoholic beverages, they wake up the next morning together …hungover, naked and married. While an annulment was initially their plan, Kade discovers that that could lead to him being let go from his team with another drunken mistake or mishap added to his record. So they make a new plan to stay married, with conditions, including no sex, at her insistence. Their hot chemistry makes that condition impossible to keep, but both find they are confused, wary and a bit scared of the feelings that have been sparked within them. This pretend marriage is beginning to feel very real, but with trust issues and different views of marriage, is a happily ever after even possible?

FMC Samantha and MMC Kade were in a friends with benefits situation for a while. Kade didn’t want anything serious and Sam did. Kade took the cowards way out by making out with another girl in front of Sam. Now Sam hates Kade and Kade still wants Sam and they are best man and maid of honor for their best friends. Now, add in a bachelor/bachelorette weekend in Vegas and a lot of alcohol and Kade and Sam wake up married. Kade is a pro football player who’s coach thinks this new marriage is a great thing for Kade and Kade decides to convince Sam that they should stay married for a year. Sam is all business and wants to get the whole thing annulled. Kade wears her down and he starts opening up to the idea of something long term with Sam. Sam is plagued by her internal thoughts of not being enough because she doesn’t look like a supermodel. Of course there is a third act breakup because Sam won’t just tell Kade how she’s feeling and what others are saying and won’t believe his actions when he’s worshipping her body. This is a 94 page novella and there was a lot packed in, but there was also a lot left out. This was okay. I read it on my lunch hour one day. If it had been a full length novel, I would have been very irritated with the lack of communication and the third act breakup, but since it was a novella, I’ll accept it.

This was a quick read novella. We have Kade - a professional football player - and Samantha (Sam) - a waitress at a casino - who dated previously and it ended badly; and they haven’t gotten over one another. The story picks up after they break up and then are reunited for a bachelor/bachelorette party in Vegas. You see when they were dating, they introduced their best friends to one another and yes those friends are getting married.
Sam is hurt over what she thinks she saw with Kade, which leads her to ghost him. Kade is confused as to why Sam ghosted him in the first place, but is accepting of it because he is convinced he is not the marriage and commitment type.
While parting and celebrating the soon to be Mr and Mrs things get a little out of control, and Kade and Sam wake up married. The only problem is they have no recollection of how this happened. Kade proposes they stay married for a year, to help him clean up his public image and save his career, he offers to help Sam as well so it’s not just about him.
Even though this was a novella I didn't feel I was missing anything from the story. Kade and Sam had their issues they needed to work through. Kade has a fear of commitment and when he feels himself falling, he sabotages it. Sam was carrying the self doubt that she wasn’t enough, she didn’t fit the mold of who should be with an NFL player. But love is a gamble that you have to be willing to take, and hopefully Sam and Kade will win at love.

I liked Sam's character. She knows who she is and what she wants. She has a big heart, curves and
a lot of sass. Kade, clearly has a fear of commitment that overrode his feelings. He initially comes across as a big jerk. Over the course of the book, his attitude makes a 180 and he suddenly becomes loving, attentive, and passionate for the same woman he originally pushed away.
Recognizing that this was only a novella, I still felt that the character growth was too much, too fast. The story was cute though, and it was an easy read. Overall I'd give it 3 stars.

Nichole’s novellas are escapism at its finest. When I’m stressed, I love to pour myself a Pepsi, kick back, and read a Nichole Ruschelle. Her feel-good novellas always improve my mood. This one is fun and flirty, and a fast read.
Premise: Kade and Sam are exes from a quasi-relationship where she had caught feelings and it got ugly. The attraction is still there and while they are in Vegas at a dual bachelor/bachelorette party, they get epically drunk and wake up together. Married. To each other.
Warning: prior to the events of the book, when Sam and Kade were dating but not officially exclusive (which Sam was semi-aware of), Kade was all over another girl, making out. While technically not cheating, it’s a gray area and may trigger those sensitive to characters cheating.
But: if you are not triggered by this, it’s a really fun book with characters who have some intense chemistry.

Okay, besties—Fourth Down Forever by Nichole Ruschelle was the kind of quick hit I love between heavier reads! Sam and Kade? Whew, the second chance + forced marriage combo totally pulled me in. It’s got just enough angst to keep it interesting, and the spice? Chef’s kiss—perfectly portioned for a novella. Was it a deep, emotional dive? Not really (hard to do in under 150 pages), but that didn’t stop me from enjoying every swoony moment. Sam is feisty, Kade’s got that irresistible charm, and together? Total touchdown. If you're into low-commitment, high-reward romances with just the right heat level and a fun plot twist or two, grab this one.

I really love Sam. She's lovely and deserves someone who cares for her. She showed so much restraint when she saw Kade do what he did as well originally.
Kade grew on me! I thought he was a bit of a jerk to begin with but of course, part of this Novella is seeing Kade's character grows. He did grow and it was great to see the final outcome!
The story is only 94 pages long but so much os packed in there, it is a great Novella to read between books where you want a HEA with some spice!

I have read about 3 of Nichole Ruschelle's books and loved every single one of them. This one though is my all time favorite out of her books so far. Sam and Kade you can tell are made for each other but one holds back. When Sam goes over how she ended things with Kade and why I knew there was more to the story than what she originally knew. I love how Nichole makes it the guy who is afraid to commit and get close. When he knows he is growing feels for her so he self sabotages the relationship before it can go anywhere. The fact is that not a lot of books show that. Then when he chases her and tells her how he really feels and admits his feelings makes me smile and laugh. This is one that I will more and likely have to buy the physical copy to have.

This is a fun, quick, and easy read. I love being able to read a good novella especially after a long or heavy book! They always leave me wanting more. I would have liked this book as a slightly longer book. I’m not normally into celebrity/famous or sports books but this one was good. I don’t normally love a third act breakup but it being that it was a novella, I didn’t mind so much.
I loved that it was a light romance with charm, heart, and just the right amount of spice.

Sam, a waitress is going to be maid of honor at her best friends wedding. Which should be great except that the best man is none other than Kade. Kade, a football player for the Vegas Vipers and Sam’s ex. When the two end up at the joint bachelor party for their friends, things turn a bit wild. Waking up with with not only a hangover, but a hangover, marriage license and his last name.
This was a good book to read in between the longer heavier books I read. While this was a shorter book, it did have everything including an HEA and didn’t feel incomplete. While Sam and Kade had a troubled past, I enjoyed how they were able to talk things through and explained everything. Overall a good story.

That's just the situation Kade and Samantha (Sam) are in. They had been hooking up before and broke up, then they meet up at a friends bachelor/ bachelorette party...there's some drinking involved and they wake up the next morning with rings on. Now they have to decide if they wanna try to make it work or not.
I really liked Sam. She second guesses herself at one point and I understand how she feels because I'm a plus size girly too and have done the same thing.
Kade starts out as a playboy but I see potential in him from the start. He's more than a football player. He just needs to see if for himself.
Nichole always makes me feel connected to her characters and that's one of the reasons I absolutely love her books.
