I loved how the book had little notes to and from Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos, Ben, Jane, Doug, and Lonnie. Although, not too big a fan on Audrey's and Chad's notes being there, in the movie they're just obnoxious I mean Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) wasn't huge on being beautiful and Prince Charming wasn't huge on being really handsome either.

Secrets of Auradon Prep
4/5 stars

I loved this. I was really excited to recently get this as the latest addition to my Descendants book collection. I wanted it because yes, even though it is more "kiddy" of a cover and stuff, I liked that again, like all of the Descendants books (besides wicked world) it was hardcover.

Plus oh my gosh the MAPS all the maps were awesome. It has flapped pages that open and it gave some nice info on the history of all things Auradon.

It was basically like having one of those rad guide books that are usually bigger (like this gorgeous GOT one that I've been eyeing, mixed with a pocket version of those movie guides like they make for Twilight. I loved this.

Disney Descendants: Secrets of Auradon Prep
By this time, I’m thinking how many ways can one movie be rearranged to make a ton of books. This one can also be SKIPPED! SPOILER ALERT there are no “Secrets”. “Secrets” was probably thrown into the title to tempt you to think your getting some extra “dirt” so you’ll spend money on this. This reads like a year book and there’s another book that actually IS a yearbook. Do you see where I’m going with this? There isn’t really anything in this you won’t learn from watching the movie or reading the first book (Descendants 1) other than maybe there’s some history of Auradon and some quotes from some of the students and other princes and princess and Fairy Godmother.

I think descendants has turned into badly written fanfic but I do have a soft spot for the lore of the first one

I love this book! If you're a Descendants fan like myself, you need this book! This book is written as a guide book for new and returning Auradon Prep students, While it does follow the time line of the movie, this book goes deeper into Auradon Prep life and has some facts that the movie doesn't reveal. For example you learn about how Tourney was invented, You can see the royal proclamation that was made to allow Mal and her friends to have a video conference call with their parents since they can't physically be with them on Family Day as well as articles from the school newspaper and the security report filed by Audrey after Maleffecent crashes Ben's coronation. My favorite parts of this book are all the "handwritten" noes from all the students and that little inserts that are included. My favorite insert was the Chemistry test booklet just like the one Evie has in the movie! The test booklet has actual questions in that you can answer. I give this book a 10 out of 1o!

Fun and cute add on book to the Descendants film. Definitely a must for Descendants fans who want to see more details on Auradon while waiting for the sequel. Reminiscent of a yearbook and a guidebook to Auradon Prep. It also makes me wonder if any of this extra info might be used in the next film/novel.

Cute, if you liked the movie. Little tips and pics that are neat for a fan, but boring for others, possibly.
