Really like this series story arc, it has such potential but, story is too short, and it gave this book a feel that it is written like a serial, at times a confusing read, hard to tell when story was a vision or in real-time, (had to re-read some parts), felt if book was longer it may have given the lead characters more depth. Hayden and Chelsea characters are very good, well-liked, interesting, and fit together very well, but their story can’t be over, too many issues need to be completed, hope we see more of the pack of the Wine Country because the secondary characters in this pack also need to be expanded for they also are very interesting..

Hayden is a reluctant alpha of his small pack of shifters. He enjoys the wine business they run but struggles with his bloody past. When a human female comes to warn him of danger, he encounters his mate as well as more danger.

Chelsea is a woman that has struggled with her visions since she was sixteen and is determined to keep him safe from harm. She gets lost in the visions for awhile and then forgets all that she saw. Her attraction to Hayden is one thing that does not go away.

I really liked the characters. Hayden is a man that leads others with no desire to be in power. He is protective of them as they suffered like he did. He is very much alone. Chelsea has been basically kidnapped for a decade and used by the people that want to destroy all the shifters and supernaturals. She is a woman that deserves so much better from life than what she has found. They have this wonderful chemistry and I really wanted more time to see them together. It felt like there should have been more scenes between them and that the ending felt a little abrupt.

I do really enjoy the series and recommend the earlier books. You can read each as a standalone.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

A Seer with memory problems and an Alpha with problems with the True Believers!

Hayden Chaucer runs a winery in Napa and acts as Alpha to his splinter pack of wolves. His brother may be Pack Alpha but he much prefers being out in the country away from the city. But when a human female turns up at the winery knowing way too much about him and the pack, he's not sure whether she is a TB plant or a whackjob! He does however have another problem, she is his mate!

Chelsea Steefle has been kept prisoner by the True Believers for years. She inherited her grandmothers gift of seeing possible alternative futures and feels like she knows Hayden from those glimpses. But her hold on these visions is temporary and she soon forgets them. But when she wakens at the winery and Hayden tells her who she is to him and why she is there she is flummoxed. She can't remember any of it.

But when the TB turn up as Chelsea predicted the wolves are ready for them. It's now up to Hayden to give Chelsea a crash course in wolves and mates!

Great story. Although a little less steamy and action packed than the previous books, this is very much more focused on the emotional and mental well being of those captured by the TB and former members of the Alpha Prime's training camp.

Chelsea starts off as a wacka-doodle when Hayden first meets her. It's a good thing that wolves can tell more than just their human sides. Hayden needs a good dose of self-confidence. It appears that Chelsea will be able to give him just what he needs. All of the characters were new and unexpected. It was an easy read that moved quickly. Hopefully there will be more on the both of the California packs and their alphas to come. This is part of the series for Alpha Strength and yet felt totally separate from the others.

No spoilers of any kind included because I’m not the kind of person that does that.
This book was absolutely amazing!
It’s fast pace with steam and action and it hooks you from the first chapter and it keeps you hooked right up until the very end.
I absolutely love every single book that I’ve read of Rebecca Royce’s, she definitely has a awesome story weaving talent that just keeps getting better and better.
So yes I most definitely do recommend this book because I thought it was totally fantastic and I think everyone should read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this quick novella. Hayden is alpha of his group of werewolves. He is also the owner of a popular winery. Image his surprise when he's told a human woman is demanding to see him. Said woman and seems to know they're werewolves! Seconds into meeting Chelsea he knows there something off. She doesn't smell mentally ill, instead she overwhelmingly smells of honey. Can he believe everything she has to say to him? Can he believe this human truly has visions? What has she come to tell him, and why have their paths crossed? It's a super fast and fun read!

What vision is this? Rebecca continues to keep us on our toes by throwing more mystery to the mix.  Chelsea's story leaves us with yet more questions.  We are not sure where the seer aspect comes into this story and the history that has yet to be revealed. The amulet was a surprise.  Is this the same one or are there more than one?  Hopefully we will see things in a different light in the next book.

This series is just kicking in stride and getting better. Human Chelsea finds her way to Hayden's vineyard with a message of doom. She also brings so much more to Hayden, his True Mate.
This is a short quick read that I feel cut off abruptly but that just makes me want to continue with the series.
I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion.

Easy, fun to read book. The resolution at the end was well done, and the characters are well-defined as in all of Rebecca Royce's books. This is a good book for anyone looking for a quick read and a definite HEA.

Actually a 3.5 star rating. Would have been 4 star if it had been longer.

This is the third book in the Fallen Alpha series. But since it is the second novella and not a full length novel it is actually listed as book number 1.5. This is a story of a small pack in California that runs a successful vineyard. There are only 12 members and Hayden is the Alpha. Chelsea is a human woman who arrives at his vineyard telling him of a crazy story of them having lived several lifetimes together already. He is skeptical at first but once she tells him things she couldn't possibly know he starts to believe her. It doesn't hurt that at this point he's already realized she is his True Mate.

Unfortunately for Chelsea once the visions have passed she forgets them very quickly. Which is why she was in such a rush to escape the True Believers (who have been holding her captive for the last 10 years) to get to Hayden and warn him of her latest vision in which he and his entire pack are murdered by them before she forgets it.

This is the first time there's actually a name for the human group that has been murdering werewolves in the past few books. Up until now it was believed that it was other werewolves committing the murders, though they were beginning to suspect that it might be humans.

As usual, when Rebecca writes a short story instead of her usual full length novels, I am left wanting. I enjoyed Hayden and Chelsea's story very much but Rebecca has dangled so many new possibilities in the series in front of us in this book and I just wish it had been longer so that she could have expanded on them. As I have stated in other reviews, Rebecca excels at full length novels so I think she should stick to them when writing any of her series.

I think there's definitely a story in the making with Hayden's brother Savage and the rather peculiar psychic woman Viola. Plus I would like to have known what happened with the True Believer Robert that they had captured and put down in the wine cellar.

All in all it was a very enjoyable read. I don't think you would want to miss this book if you have read the others in the series because obviously there are new things happening that are mentioned in this story that must tie into the later ones. I just wish it would have been longer. I wanted to get to know the Napa Valley pack. Just as I was starting to the story was over.

Alpha's SacrificeRebecca Royce

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

An Alpha with a dark past and scarred soul and a heroine who has visions she can't remember, but together their future is bright.

'Alpha's Sacrifice' is the third book in the 'Fallen Alpha' series by Rebecca Royce and I was given this copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. I loved it just as much as the other books in the series so far, and can't wait for the next one.

This is a paranormal romance which focuses on the relationship between immortal wolf shifter Hayden Chaucer, the 60 year-old Alpha of the Napa Pack and owner of Chaucer Family Wines, and his true mate, the seer Chelsea Steefle, who has been held captive and experimented on by True Believers for the last ten years because she inherited her Grandmother's gift of vision's when she was 16 years-old.

Having escaped her captors, Chelsea turns up at the vineyard on the evening of the full moon desperate to pass on what she's seen and save the lives of Hayden and the other 12 members of his small pack from an attack by the True Believers. Hayden may not believe her, but he acts on the information and sends an exhausted Chelsea to bed. Unfortunately, when he gets there, she has no memory of her visions and has no idea who he is.....

This story is less action packed and steamy than previous books, although there is some of both, and more focussed on the emotional and mental well-being of both Hayden and Chelsea, and what they need to do to move forwards into the future, leave their less than stellar pasts behind and heal their scarred souls. They are joined in this by Sal, Hayden's second, as well as the other members of the pack, and by Savage, Hayden's brother and Alpha of the San Francisco Pack.

Unusually for a Rebecca Royce series, characters from previous books are mentioned briefly, but are not part of the actual story. This book can be read as a stand alone, but there are things, like history and background, which are easier to follow if you've read the first two stories.

Alpha's Sacrifice by Rebecca Royce is a romantic love story between a wolf and a human who knew they were Mates. Hayden Chaucer was Alpha to a small pack in Northern, California. They all worked together at a winery and lived in the underground caverns, well hidden from the humans. Hayden was not comfortable being Alpha in fact he was surprised when his brother, Savage who was Alpha of San Francisco, his own pack gave Hayden this small pack. But was Hayden worthy of this pack to call him Alpha. Hayden did GREAT with the vineyards he loved and had a talent for making wine. But when the Alpha Prime Lucian died a hundred years ago (Who was in charge of all the Alpha's across the country )before he died he told Hayden he wasn't good enough to be an Alpha but he was good enough henchman basically he was a Wolf who tortured and kill other wolves what ever Lucian wanted he did. Scarred his mind and body for life.
Chelsea Steefle would see visions in her dreams and each night with a different out come. She has been held and drugged by the True Believers for 10 years oh she could go anywhere on the property, but never leave. They wanted her visions and she had to get to Hayden she had to save him but 1st Chelsea had to escape so she planned. Chelsea was tierd trying to get to Hayden and tell him before she forgets. That's right she always no matter what vision she had in a matter of time Chelsea would not remember anything. Chelsea had to get to him before she forgot, she just had to. Before she forgot Hayden. This is an unforgettable story, can you imagine forgetting everything all your friends, work, lovers. This is another must read book. I loved it bet you do to. I was gifted this ARC for a honest and truthful review.

Alpha's Sacrifice (Fallen Alpha, #1.5)
by Rebecca Royce

Chelsea has visions with several different outcomes. The main problem? A short time later, she forgets what she saw. She winds up living on the streets as a child and the True Believer's take her in under the guise of helping her. Instead they kept her locked up and would drug her to induce the visions so they could study her. Her main vision is of an Alpha werewolf, that she knows exists because of the True Believer's, that she has had several lives with. She needs to get to him and warn him of the danger he is in.

Hayden is the Alpha of Napa Valley. He was once one of Lucian's elite trainee's, but Lucian decided that he didn't have what it took to be an Alpha and turned him into an interrogator (a person who specializes in torture). He has left all that behind and is leading a pack of misfit wolves and running a vineyard.

When a crazy woman shows up claiming to know Hayden and that she has seen him and her together in her visions, Hayden has no choice but to go with it, as he discovers....she is his mate.

I just can't seem to get enough of this series and the alphas in them. Beautiful location and small but just right for these in this pack, plus the winery. hayden is in his office reading about more murder with the True Believers at the head of it. Now there is someone who insists on seeing him and knows him and that he is Alpha, so he is off to see what mystery awaits. What he finds out is quite alot to hear and this from someone who was once captive by none other than the True Believers. Chelsea does have abilities but it must be believed quickly or lives could be lost. He also though realizes something very important about her. this author then takes you on quite a journey with these two to get to the bottom of this and to see if his wolf truly knows. She will also give you the whole story where Chelsea is concerned and also the path she really should go on to aid her. As this has a different twist then most it was a fascinating read to be sure. What his past contained did not have to be in his future and they both will learn that what is really important after all but only if. Received a copy for a honest review.

1) Alpha Rising, 2)Alpha Strength, 3)Alpha Sacrifice, 4)Alpha Truth Review for a free copy...

Alpha Sacrifice has Hayden and Chelsea. Hayden, Alpha of Napa Pack, and Chelsea, True Believer escapee. Chelsea knows too much about Hayden, werewolves and their life. It's a confusing process to get information from her, because she's a "seer" having visions, and then can't remember what she saw. Hayden is a sweetie and very patient, and he knows she is his "true mate". He tells Cyrus they should be searching for the money trail that funds the True Believers evil group. Hayden and Chelsea get to talk, figure things out a bit, and feel the attraction. They mate with super hot sex, wow. Her memories are weird, but Viola helps her figure out the problem. Chelsea's gran died before she explained her gift. Deep characters, very likable, an interesting story and hot sex make this series worthwhile. Throw in the suspense and more questions, and you'll be looking forward to the next tale. E N J O Y !!!

Hayden has spent decades reclaiming soul and reinventing himself after years of torture left darkness in his soul. Chelsea has been held by the True Believers and forced to help them with her visions; but many of those visions involved Hayden and now they plan on killing him forcing her to escape and try to save him before she forgets her vision again. She makes it and surprisingly he believes her so when the assassins arrive the tables are turned and they become the assassinated instead! Unfortunately when he returns to her in the morning she no longer knows him or why she is there. He starts from scratch, he knows she is his mate but he must now convince her. In the end he does convince her and she must once again save him from the darkness that once consumed him. I think I liked this one best of all the Fallen Alphas so far! Chelsea and Hayden have been through so much evil and deserve the peace they find together in the vines, I just hope it can last! Highly recommend it!! **Book received in exchange for honest review**

I was given a copy of this novella for my honest review.

This is the second novella in this series I have read. I can’t get away from my dislike of them however. I find that they just don’t do justice to most stories. But that is not the case with Alpha’s Sacrifice. It really added to the growing story being told in the Alphas series. The characters are so well written that while the book was short it gave me a view of another alpha and his true mate and expanded on the previous story line. It was interesting to see that there were other paranormals in this world that the author has designed and left me wondering what other surprises may be in store. I was left with more questions than answers though that I hope to have revealed at some point in the series. I know that these will keep me reading it until the end of the series.

Alpha's Sacrifice is part of the Fallen Alpha series. This is Hayden and Chelsea's story.
Hayden is trying to forget his violent past under the former Alpha Prime Lucien.
Hayden and his pack run a winery in California. He doesn't feel that he is alpha enough.
Chelsea runs from the True Believers to warn Hayden that he is in grave danger. However, she only has visions and once they fade so does her memories.
Hayden and Chelsea are dealing with being mates, her visions, the True Believers that want to kill those not human. The story really pulls you in and is very captivating.
My only issue was that it ended all too soon.

Hayden runs a small winery as a coverup for his small packs living area which are in tunnels. Trying to stay ahead of the true believes is harder than it seems. With werewolves dropping left and right, he still stands tall. Chelsea ends up on his doorstep looking to talk to him about visions. But he almost puts her out until he catches the sent of the so called crazy human. She smells delicious. Who is this human to him? How does she know him and to call him alpha? Further more how'd she know his is a werewolf and his pack!

This book, like the others in the series, was well-written. My only issue with it was it seemed to go by to quickly! I loved the characters of Hayden and Chelsea. This book left me with some questions because it was so short, mainly what happened to the member of the True Believers in the basement? I would like to know more about Savage, maybe in another book?? Why does Cyrus hate Savage so much? I feel that some of these questions could have been answered if the book had been a bit longer but all in all it was a great book.

Hayden and Chelsea's story... He doesn't feel adequate as an Alpha but does the best he can (which is actually being a true Alpha). She has the gift of seeing possible futures but can't remember them 10 minutes later... Oh, and she's human. How can they be a truly mated couple? They both have issues to deal with, but will they work it out together?
You'll have to read to find out...
Happy reading : )

This story about Hayden & Chelsea was short. I liked the story plot but got confused while reading it. I would of loved to hear more about Chelsea's gift as a seer and how it affected the pack. It was nice to get to meet new characters which I hope will be written about in future books. A few grammatical errors but nothing that can be figured out.
