My toddler nephews love it! I love it! A marvelous coming together of rhyme, reason, silliness, and illustrations!

And as usual there is an unexpected twist in the ending. :)

Cheery easy to say rhymes, muddy puddles, cupcakes and a chance to yell Peeyoo! -- what more could you want for ages 0-3? This has been one my daughter's favorites in the if-I-get-in-trouble-do-you-still-love-me phase.

I didn't like this book at all . I rated it a 2 star because it was age appropriate. Children books suppose to grab the child's attention and this didn't grab my attention nor my students. It's pretty boring. Will not recommend teachers to read to there students.

A great hit with our 3 and 6 year old niblings... and their parents, and all the other adults too. The littlest nibling asked to have it read AGAIN!!! until mom felt like a broken record, and fun was had by all.

This book has the rhymes flowing like bathwater, and the laughs bubbling like soap suds. The illustrations are deft and sweet, and just too cute. The kids squealed with delight and riotous anticipation every time the book asked "What will little chickies do?" ... and the grownups loved watching the pig, cow, and sheep "adults" get dirty, smelly, and cupcake-frosted from their attempts at keeping the chickies clean.

10 stars, minimum.

Update, almost a year later: This book continues to be a hit with the now 4 and 7 year olds. Mom regretted reading this AFTER they finished a nice soothing bedtime book, and getting the kids all giggly and energized again. Haha, silly mom! (Truth be told, she didn't really, really regret it... even after multiple way-past-bedtime readings. The book is that good!)

Trasler, Janee Bathtime for Chickies. HarperCollins Publishers, 2015. $8.99. BOARD BOOK.

What an adorable board book! Chickies love to play in mud, get sticky with frosting and a whole list of other activities that make them dirty. Even though they would rather NOT end their fun, they soon learn that bath-time is as much fun as anything else they could be doing. Pig, Cow and Sheep are in charge of getting these adorable creatures clean. With wonderful rhymes and fun illustrations, little ones will love this storybook. "Wash your beaks. Wash your faces. Wash your back and other places." This would be a fun rhyme to incorporate into bath-time each night. The end of the story has a little twist that will keep little ones wanting to read it again and again.

Pre-K. ESSENTIAL. Reviewer: SL.

Chickies are always cute. But I love the other two chickie books, but this one doesn't flow as well as the others
