My Fate. Those were the words being whispered behind closed doors. A secret that echoed down these dark hallways, like it held power. I wanted to believe I was safe in this new land. Wanted to trust the man I was losing my heart too. Because the spell had been cast and love had weaved itself around me. But could that love really conquer all? Could it really be powerful enough to defeat our enemies? Or would it only jeopardise the future? For the Rift was calling me and I knew the truth. That in the end, I would be the key to… The Kingdom’s Fate.

Please tell me thus series isn't done!!! I did not see a memo anywhere about it being continued, but I stayed up to almost 5am reading bc I couldn't put it down. If this series ends on that cliff hanger, I may have to adjust my rating. Please let my tired eyes have just missed the memo!
The restiveness killed this series for me! book #1 was amazing, downhill from there
I went into this series with high expectations because Book 1 was genuinely incredible, engaging, well-paced, and easy to recommend. I even told others it felt underrated. Unfortunately, Books 2 and 3 were a major disappointment for me, and the primary reason comes down to the writing.
The repetition of the same phrases became overwhelmingly distracting. Expressions like “I sucked in a sharp breath,” “my breath hitched,” “I gasped,” and “his face softened” were used so frequently, sometimes multiple times within the same paragraph that it completely pulled me out of the story. By a certain point, I wasn’t immersed in the plot anymore; I was anticipating the next repeated phrase.
This wasn’t an occasional stylistic choice, it felt excessive and unedited. The constant recycling of identical wording made the writing feel repetitive and, at times, juvenile. It also made emotional moments lose their impact, because instead of feeling unique, they all started to sound the same.
What’s especially frustrating is that the core story still had potential. But the lack of variation in language affected both the credibility of the writing and my confidence in the editing process. There are so many alternative ways to convey tension, emotion, and reaction, and I wish more care had been taken to diversify the prose.
Because of this, I can’t rate Books 2 and 3 the same way I rated Book 1. I wanted to love the continuation of this series, but the repetitive writing style made it difficult to stay engaged.
What in the fuckery was that ending. How many books are going to be in this GD SERIES. How do I know when it's going to end! Are we doing another switcheroo for the King who turns into stone, are we have a RH situation in the future. That's the vibe I'm getting and if so I need to know about it, you cannot RH me without my consent! Future R- We made it through the forest to grab the torch that the witch can use to open a portal to drop us into the battle so our current boo doesn't kill his evil infected brother. We just had to pop into the forest with our bff minatour and snatch it from the king version of the male medusa real quick. who we were kind of vibing with.....okkkk. We get it, we pop into the capital where the battle is going down to discover basically the sludge from FernGully everywhere fighting our army. Boom, in pops our trusted STEED who parts the sludge like a goddamn ship in the water. He gets us to Atlas who we slow motion scream NOOOOO, and he finishes it by slitting his infected, but not evil at his core, brother. AND SCENE. How many books are in this freaking series.
This book is dark, emotional, intense, and completely addictive from the very first chapter.
The world-building is rich and immersive, the stakes are higher than ever, and the characters? Ugh… I felt everything. The tension, the power struggles — it all hits hard. Every choice has consequences, and you can feel the weight of them on every page.
This story is packed with: 🔥 Dark fantasy vibes 🔥 Powerful romance 🔥 War, fate, and impossible choices 🔥 Twists that had me yelling at my book
By the end, I was emotionally wrecked in the best way and already desperate for the next one. If you love fantasy romance with depth, danger, and heart, you NEED this book in your life.
I have to give these two credit. They certainly like to keep the heart pounding! Riley is pretty much screwed at the moment, I’m really curious what his fate will be. Alex decides she must go through the Rift after Atlas, hoping to get to him before he does the unthinkable and ends his brother’s life. Aster, having sworn to protect Alex, decides he will go with her and together they will find a way to reach Atlas before it is too late. May can’t get here fast enough!!!!
With each book so far in this series it pulls you deeper and deeper into wanting more, craving more! This is an amazing Mythological, Paranormal book! The characters are so exciting and such strong characters. There is nothing in this series I have not liked! A definite must read. You will be hooked!
SO not fair. Whilst on occasion tne FMC can be woefully obtuse. I am, mevertheless, really enjoying the story. I am not howdver enjoying that bane of our existence, "cliff hangers"
I love the in depth action scenes. It is like you are there, heart pounding and heart aching throughout the book. The humour brings a nice relief between action scenes.
Great characters, a great story, and lots of action keeps you turning pages. I know this was supposed to be a 3 book series, but I hope that’s not the end.
How does this series just keep getting better! I love every book so far and this was no exception. I was laughing, crying and white knuckling my kindle. I couldn’t put it down and sleep had to wait. Arrrghhh can’t wait for the next book
