Adorably cute! At first I wasn't sure about the art, but it was just so cute and fit this story perfectly. Looking forward to more comics illustrated by this artist in the future.
The story was simple, but it worked really well. Plus we got to see a more maternal side of Rainbow Dash, and I liked that. She didn't seem out of character at all, she just genuinely loves teaching about flying.

Not a fan of Jay Fosgitt's art style and I felt the story was a bit lacking. Spitfire being afraid of children is honestly a great character flaw except I'm pretty sure in the series she interacts with childhood fans on the regular. Spitfire being THAT nervous also felt very out of character for her. This story might have fit Soarin better. They also introduced the fact that Spitfire can't deal with kids is because she only knows how to teach through being tough and she can't do that to the kids. So why is it that when Dash recommends being confident, she immediately gets tough with the kids?? I thought that was the root of the problem you're telling me she can just act like that immediately with no qualms all because Dash said something? It just didn't make much sense.

meh... everyone was out of character but it was entertaining.

Simply put... the lesson of this book is that someone may have a fear, no matter how irrational. We can either help them through it or make it harder. The choice is up to us.
