The greatest gift of all…

The sleepy town of Havelock is the last place Dr Jenny Bostock wants to get stuck over the holidays. Her whole trip has been designed to escape the heartbreak of a family Christmas.

But when adorable twin boys crash into her on their skateboard — closely followed by their stressed-out (and seriously sexy) single dad, Dr. Cameron Roberts — Jenny’s forced to put her traveling plans on hold. And the longer she stays with Cameron and his two little boys, the harder it is to leave…

A Family This Christmas is a medical romance by Sue MacKay. It is set in Havelock, Australia.
Dr. Jenny Bostock is on a mission to find peace in the wake of her twin sister’s death. They were hiking in the mountains and the rock ledge Jenny was on gave way taking Jenny and Allison with it. Jenny escaped with bruises and scrapes; but Allison was hit on the head by a boulder and then it crushed her chest. Jenny knew she couldn’t get help before her sister died so she chose to stay with Allison until she died. Her grief and guilt for not saving Allison has affected her entire life. She was going to avoid the first Christmas at home without Allison by taking a long journey back to the places she and Allison had visited. She hoped to be at the site of Allison’s death on the first anniversary of her death. However, she didn’t plan on running into a skateboard, twin boys, and their father.
Dr. Cameron Roberts had left the city after his wife deserted him and the boys. She just wanted out. She left him to work in his practice, take care of twin boys, and keep up a house. He was trying to keep his head above water and trying to reach a place where he could enjoy his time with the boys. It seems the boys were great at getting into trouble.
Marcus and Andrew were playing with skateboards when Marcus’s skateboard hit a lady. He was scared but stayed with the lady while Andrew went to get Cam, their father. Jenny suffered scrapes and bruises and a broken ankle. When she was released from the hospital, she went to Cam’s house as he had asked her to. He felt she needed a place where she would get help if needed instead of in a hotel. It was understood it was only until she healed enough to leave. Was that a good idea? She was already attached to Marcus and Andrew; but what about Cam? What would happen when she left?
