Im rating these 3 books as an overall. My absolute favorite is definitely the first book, My Greek Island Secret. But all 3 books were amazing. The secrets hurt in so many ways, but they also were so incredibly healing. The first book really brought out my emotions and anger. Thats why its my favorite. I was so angry at Richard for treating Alexandra so horribly after the death of her mom. As things went on, it all was explained. Doesn't excuse anything in the slightest but it was an ah ha moment. The other two books had similar moments. Beautiful and devastating moments. I thought these books were going to be sweet little romances. Hahaha no my heart has been torn in two. I love them all! All of them different. But all have something special.
I liked the "secrets" and romance (without being too graphic). Anyone who enjoys WWII history should enjoy these novels. I also liked the inclusion of Welsh, Italian, Greek and French words scattered throughout the text.
Another good set of books by Jan Baynham. Unwittingly I had read two previous but attracted to the authors name I bought this set.I The third book was an excellent read and reached expectations.
Every book in the set was individual but all had the same appeal . All very hard to put down to get some sleep. I highly recommend and they certainly deserve the five star rating. I shall look for more from this author . Rosemarie Leahy
I loved the three of these books but the last one was my favorite. It was very true to life and quite heart breaking but such an excellent story very well written. I loved how the characters were fleshed out and how they all had to deal with their less than perfect situations. I loved the ending which became quite predictable but not until the very last few pages. Jan Baynham was a new author for me but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more of her books.
