The road is paved in hard truths, Alessandra, not denials."
"And you think I'm the one in denial?"
His gaze was rock steady. "I know you are. But fuck if I'll let you push me away again."

My my my, what a dirty little gem this book turned out to be. I was not expecting something quite so hot when I picked this one up. I'll admit I've been eyeing this series for a few months now but knowing my book ADD tendencies, I knew I had to wait to read it until closer to the release of book 3 because I'd forget everything by the time it came out. Also, I'm ashamed to admit that since the cover reminded me too much of a certain other book, I was judgy and figured I'd be getting another jaded billionaire book . This was so much better than I expected and I'm seriously kicking my own ass for not reading it sooner.

I'm a sucker for a second chance love story, and Remind Me certainly hit the spot in all the right places.

Ten years ago, Hudson Chase was the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and Alessandra Sinclair was the heiress to a media empire. They were the unlikeliest of couples and yet for a few stolen days that one summer, they burned hot and bright together. Now ten years later, their paths cross once more and this time Hudson has the pull, the money, and the social standing and he knows that he won't let Alessandra walk away quite so easily.

Hudson has spent the past years building up his company and becoming a self-made millionaire. Successful beyond his wildest dreams, he's never hurting for company of the female variety. But when he sees the striking blonde from his past at a gala, all those feelings from before come firing right back; anger, lust, possession. He may not have been on the same path as her before, but he certainly is now, and he won't let the fact that she's engaged to a different man stand in his way.
Hot damn, she was wild and untamed. And he loved it. Loved watching her let go of her inhibitions and shamelessly give in to her own pleasure. She was wet and on fire around him. For him. He was beyond fucking her; she was under his skin, the very breath in his lungs.

As much as I fell hard and fast for Hudson (how can you not?), Alessandra was a heroine I never quite warmed up to. This may have been because most of the intriguing character development was focused on Hudson and we'll get hers in the second book. Whatever the reason may be, I had a tough time connecting with her. I didn't understand why she was such pushover with her parents and allowed them to basically structure her life to however they saw fit. I also tend to get judgy with a cheating heroine (it's a terrible double standard of mine and one I'm never going to be cured of). Considering how obvious it was to the reader everything that her relationship was missing with her fiancé, it was almost unbelievable that it took what it did to finally wake her up and make her see reason. I would have preferred she cut things off with him before continuing her affair with Hudson, but she was engaged for pretty much the entirety of the book.

Luckily for me, Hudson was such a great character that between his erotic pull and captivating mysterious past, I found myself not caring much about the issues I had with Alessandra.

Hudson was just that enigmatic.

That being said, as sizzling as the chemistry between him and Alessandra was, I felt there was (brace for it) too much sex. I'm still reeling over my shock that I'm saying this. Ultimately, I just felt that it began to take away and overshadow the story. These two turned to sex at every opportunity, even when what I felt they needed to do more of is talk. Sex was the solution to every problem. Don't get me wrong, it was hot as hell, but it was just a bit too much...even for this self-proclaimed smut slut.

All minor quibbles aside, the story of Hudson and Alessandra absolutely captivated me. The writing was engrossing and the romance was practically sizzling. I am definitely hooked on this trilogy and can't wait to see what the next book brings. Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers are new to me authors that I will read any future books from without a second thought. There were just enough hints dropped about Hudson's past that peeked my interest enough to guarantee I'll be reading the next book. If you love dirty talking and possessive alphas, Hudson Chase is one hero that you NEED to meet.

A smoking-hot, sultry romance. The attraction between the main characters is irresistible and explosive as they reignite the love and desire they found in each other ten years ago.

Alessandra Sinclair was born to privilege. Heiress to her family’s media empire it has been instilled into her that her family obligations are her only duties. But when the boy who she fell in love with during a summer a decade ago blows into town he completely changes all the rules. And the man that went from rags to riches won’t give her up for a second time, not even if she’s engaged to another man. Can Allie make her own happiness her priority and risk everything she’s known to take what she wants?

A lot has changed in ten years. He once thought he wasn’t good enough for her, but Hudson Chase has been building his own empire. There’s nothing he can’t have and now he will stop at nothing to get the girl that broke his heart. Will his past and secrets destroy his chance?

I loved how the book’s blurb hinted at a second chance romance and forbidden passion all rolled into one. Hudson and Allie met and fell for each other when they were teens. But being afraid of what her parents might think of a ‘thug’ like Hudson, she kept their relationship a secret and ignored him at the end of their summer together. Something she’s regretted dearly.

Now that he’s older, wiser and richer, Hudson won’t back down, he won’t be kept her dirty secret and he certainly won’t play second fiddle to Allie’s fiancée. He’s relentless in his pursuit and Allie is powerless to resist the connection that goes deeper the physical.

Even though he initially came off as an arrogant jerk, with the dedication “for David Gandy, a face to laugh a thousand… book,” it was impossible for me not to have all sorts of naughty thought at every mention of this man in the book. But I also understood how he would look to protect his shattered heart. He’s been forged into a hard, cutthroat and rough business man. But when he’s near or around Allie his control is all but annihilated and once they clear the air he’s thoughtful, sweet, caring and yes of course sexy as only a take charge alpha like him can be.

I was a bit disappointed in Alessandra at first. Even though it was apparent that she wasn’t 100% happy or fulfilled with her family obligations or the fact that they were pushing her down the aisle towards a man that barely seemed to care about her, she was still playing along. She wasn’t just shackled by her duty to her parents, she was prisoner to her own blindness, which included her lack of good taste concerning her fiancée.

But reopening the doors to the past and being the sole object of the attention of an incredibly passionate man made her feel more alive than she ever had and helped her finally recognize she can take control of her own life and happiness. Of course it would be difficult not to feel so much with all the scorching hot, wildfire like sexy moments.

Even though there are many sweet moments, it took a while for their back story to be known and for them to verbally express their feelings for each other. So it also took a while for me to fully feel connected with their love and not just experience their explosive chemistry.

Their story is left unfinished and I can’t wait for the next part of their story to continue. Remind Me is book #1 in the Chasing Fire trilogy by Ann Marie Walker & Amy K. Rogers. It’s written from both points of view. The story has a cliffhanger.

I've been excited about this book long before I read the first page. Debut authors Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers flawlessly weave the story of Hudson Chase and Alessandra Sinclair.

Hudson Chase, the working class boy turned billionaire, reunites with his teenage love Allie Sinclair. Even after ten years, Allie knows there is only one place she needs to be, in Hudson's arms. Hudson is willing to tear through any obstacle standing in his way to have her. But will their love and lust be enough to power through the biggest obstacle they'll need to overcome?

Remind Me is a definite must read!

Hudson and Allie steam up the pages in this new trilogy! Are you looking for an affectionate but rough around the edges billionaire? OH yes, Hudson’s your next addiction. Ann & Amy give it to us good with this story & you’ll be begging for this book not to end!

Hudson & Allie fell in love ten years ago when they were teenagers, but it all fell apart at the end of the summer. But now things are different. Hudson’s changed his life completely and when he comes across Allie again he’s not taking no for an answer.

Sort of a big problem: Allie’s engaged. Her parents are shoving this wedding down her throat and she’s along for the ride – whether she wants it or not. Allie’s perfectly happy in her life, but she’s not really living. While she’s never wanted for anything material, she’s never really lived her life. When she reconnects with Hudson she’s both lost and found. I quickly and easily fell in love with these two together.

This book gives you PLENTY of drama and more than plenty of sex. There’s wall sex & symphony sex & cabin sex & MOTORCYCLE SEX (holy fuck that was hot) & you know, the kind in bed too. HEY, they were making up for ten years!!

Note: I really really hate love triangles and cheating, but these authors put together the storyline in a way that didn’t make me feel bad about it. THANK YOU FOR THAT. I definitely wanted Allie to pick Hudson and break free from the familial chains that are holding her back. I definitely wanted Hudson to stop being the dirty little secret and be able to come out on Allie’s arm proudly. ahhhhhh, so many wants!

Hudson is adorable. As soon as he meets Allie it’s like his womanizing ways never even existed. He’s transported back to a time when he was 19 and love was forever. Allie tries to fight her feelings for Hudson, but she really doesn’t want to – the connection they have is deep….deeper than the sex, and deeper than anything she ever experienced with her frenchman. WHO BY THE WAY YOU WILL HATE AND WANT TO KICK IN THE BALLS, so don’t feel bad she cheats on him. She’s making the right move. OH, also, the ending is a cliffhanger, but I have a strange feeling it will be ok.

So, in case you weren’t convinced already, here are a few reasons why Hudson’s your next book boyfriend: he’s considerate, sexy as fuck, he talks dirty, he likes a little public pleasure, he’s a little kinky (TIE ME UP, PLEASE), and he’s incredibly affectionate and sweet. And he’s a billionaire. We’re talking total package here. Yup, I’m in. WHERE’S THE NEXT BOOK?!

I have finally finished the book and it is absolutely fabulous!

Hudson Chase, Sigh… Allie Sinclair, the girl you think you want to be until you see her real life, umm, I mean real fictional life. They met years ago, they had chemistry then. I promise, they have chemistry now. Lots and lots of chemistry (fans self). And just when I thought I figured out where the book was going, it takes a totally different turn and keeps me guessing. Heck, even the teaser for the second book, Release Me, takes the reader in a different direction than I ever imagined.

The book is very well written and has the perspective of both Hudson and Allie. The transitions between the characters are great, effortlessly switching between them sometimes mid scene. Each character has a strong and capable exterior, and their own set of issues to fight on a personal level. They are and can be great support for each other, but will Ann Marie Walker and Amy K Rogers let them?

This was an excellent read, I was hooked by 10%! I loved Allie and Hudson, they had so much passion and intensity, I couldn’t get enough!

I loved that this story was from both Allie and Hudson’s POV. They were awesome characters and I had a good feel for both of them from the beginning with an excellent introduction to each of them. I adored their reconnection and the growth in their relationship. There was animosity in the beginning that was laced with intensity and passion. I loved the pull they had on one another.

I could feel Allie’s conflict and felt for her, I could not wait for that moment when she truly woke up and opened her eyes to certain situations. Those situations totally stressed me out! Hudson was charming, sexy, and so persistent. I loved his attitude and the power he exuded. He also has some secrets in his past and I was totally intrigued. While some are learned, there are still lots of unanswered questions. I like how the details of Hudson’s past where woven into the story, leaving you excited and guessing!

This is a super sexy read. Scorching! Oh my! Hotness! Passion! Intensity! Love their chemistry so much. Even more than the hotness that I loved, it's the pull Hudson and Allie have for one another, that need that makes it even more passionate beyond just a well written sex scene that really had me drawn in. I loved Allie and Hudson’s lighter moments as well. They had an easy, fun, and playful demeanor with one another. It was so sweet! I thought there was a really good balance between the sexy and the fun.

I thought the writing was great. The story had a good flow throughout and an excellent build. There is drama and intensity throughout as well. Awesome ending… it had me on the edge of my seat! I still have a million questions and need answers. There is a cliffhanger and even though I'm not a big fan of those, I like how it was presented. I can't wait for more.

Bring on Release Me. I need answers!

"For David Gandy, a face to launch a thousand . . . books. Thank you for inspiring this one." Ahem..who wouldn't read a book with that acknowledgement - or at least try to lick the cover!!

David Gandy IS Hudson Chase (and vice versa) and Allie is one very lucky lady. Who wouldn't want a chance at a redo and to try again with the one person you could never get over? It's never that simple though, right? Follow this story of the sexy mogul and beautiful heiress to find out. Hudson Chase is pulling out all the stops to get his girl. Will it be enough? Will Alley find the strength to live her life the way she wants it?

This book sets off on an emotional roller coaster. You will like/hate/love these characters. The will drive you mad. But all of that doesn't prepare you for the strong finish and glimpse of book 2 in the trilogy. I NEED BOOK 2 NOW LADIES!!

These ladies are big Fifty Shades fans. If you enjoy FSOG and David Gandy - get your one-click on immediately :)

Congratulations to Ann Marie Walker and Amy Rogers on your debut novel.

I saw this book on Netgalley and was itching for a contemporary novel so I snatched it up. I must have missed that it was a trilogy because when the end came I was so shocked and really disappointed. I worried at first that this was going to be a copycat of Fifty Shades or Crossfire or Naked since it revolves around a billionaire and he’s young. But there are some similarities but this book is more about the reunion of two long lost loves.
Allie and Hudson had a sweet summer romance on the shores of Lake Michigan. It had shades of the book The Notebook, as Allie is the rich girl and Hudson is the dirt poor local. It doesn’t end well, but the story takes place years later in Chicago where Hudson is taking over the financial world.
He now has the money, power and prestige that he lacked when he wanted to claim Allie as his. He strikes into her well-ordered world and disrupts the plans Allie has in place. Hudson is crafted after the model David Gandy as the authors have dedicated the book to him. I can certainly see why he would be their muse as he is so handsome. Hudson still has the sentimentality of the young, poor man he was. It seems that the simpler things in life are still what appeal to him. Through the story it seems that he covets his wealth, buying things because ‘rich people have them’. I think there is a deep insecurity in Hudson, even after all of his hard work and accomplishments. The humiliation he suffered by not being good enough for Allie, made him stronger and more determined.
Allie has never had to struggle in life. She comes from a very wealthy family and grew up in the elite of society. The only time in her life that was true and her own was the summer she spent with Hudson. Her parents sound like horrible people and cared only for the image they present rather than truth and love. Allie seems like she can barely make a decision for herself as everything in her life is under their control. This includes her creepy fiancé Julian.
Normally I have abhorrence for reading about adultery. I’m just not ok with it, so I wondered how the authors would make me love Hudson and Allie together when there was the matter of a fiancé. Somewhat typically, Julian is a terrible guy. His persona makes you wonder about Allie’s judgement. Why on earth would she want to be with this horrid guy? He almost completely ignores her and he’s rude. By making him so unappealing it makes it justifiable that Allie would resume things with Hudson.
Hudson peruses Allie with strong fervor. Clearly she is not getting it on with her loser fiancé, so Hudson is able to swoop in and reignite the passion they had. Hudson stalks Allie around Chicago with some amusing results. When Julian leaves for business, Allie takes the time to get to know Hudson again and this time on a biblical level.
They spend a lot of time having amazing sex. The scenes are descriptive and full of passion. Hudson is an amazing lover and lucky Allie. I guess if you are modelling your male lead after David Gandy – he’d better be a stud. It’s like you can put a four thousand dollar suit on the guy, but underneath he fucks like a man who works with his hands.
Allie knows that Hudson is what is good for her. They do fun things together. They talk and share meals and enjoy low key moments together. I guess it’s the pressure from her family that has her balking at making a decision regarding her engagement. Even when something feels so right and true, you feel hesitant to throw away everything you have known. The authors really develop that mine of plot and make it so that you somewhat understand her reluctance, although I personally would never have been interested in loser Julian.
Things aren’t simple for Hudson and Allie. Even when she made her decision about what to do, things become complicated. I thought this book was going to be a simple choose one guy –the end. But it is more complex. The plot thickens due to the actions of the secondary characters and their actions have serious ramifications for the leads.
I can’t wait to read the next book and see where the series takes us. I know deep down that Allie and Hudson will have to struggle to get to their happy ending, but I hope the journey is filled with lots of sex and emotional moments.

3.5 sexy second-chance stars

Hudson Chase is a self-made billionaire. From a dirt-poor childhood, he has worked hard to make his fortune and he is now a hugely successful businessman. There is nothing he cannot buy, and he always gets what he wants, except the one girl that got away.

Allie Sinclair is leading a seemingly perfect life. Her family is incredibly wealthy, she is engaged to a highly successful, French aristocrat, and she loves her job working to raise money for the less fortunate. If she doesn’t look at her life too closely, she could almost say she was happy. But one run in with Hudson Chase and her whole life is turned upside down.

Allie and Hudson shared an idyllic summer together as teenagers. Reminiscent of The Notebook, Allie was vacationing with her wealthy family in Hudson’s home town, and fell for the dirt poor bad boy. They were so happy together until Allie unintentionally broke his heart, and was then whisked away by her family. They haven’t seen or spoken to each other in ten years, and it very quickly becomes clear that they still share incredible chemistry.

He should let her go.
He had to let her go.
But he already knew he wasn’t going to.

Hudson immediately begins his pursuit, and Allie finds herself powerless to resist him. Her fiancé is out of the country for two weeks, and she and Hudson collide into a passionate affair that leaves them both breathless. And OMG, this book is smutty. There is SO much sex! Hot, explicit, and incredibly passionate, they both throw themselves into their sizzling reconnection – anywhere, anytime, however many times they can manage it. And it’s really freaking hot.

With each encounter, the intensity between them builds, but real life is encroaching on them – Allie’s soon-to-return fiancé, and her family who continue to pressure her into the life they expect of her. And Hudson has a brother in trouble and demons from his past that he’s trying to deal with. Will what they feel for each other be enough to keep them together?

Hudson swept her hair out of her face and pressed a lingering kiss to her mouth. As her lips yielded to his, a thought came out of nowhere: I need you. Don’t let us go.

I really enjoyed this book. We are dumped right into the story, with Allie and Hudson’s reunion happening in the first few pages, and I have to confess that it took me a while to get really involved. We don’t know the details of their history together upfront so their connection, while clearly intense for them, doesn’t mean much to us. And as things progress between them it seemed to be all about the sex. It should be a beautifully meaningful reunion, and while there are feelings there behind all of the ripping of clothes and dirty talk, we only know that from their perspectives, they don’t actually share what they’re feeling. The whole time they’re together, neither of them actually talk about what’s happening between them. And while I enjoy a good smutty read as much as the next person, I wanted more feels. I wanted the swoony declarations, and it takes until almost the end of the book for them to finally start opening up to each other.

“I can’t do this anymore, Allie. I can’t keep pretending two weeks will be enough.” His impassioned voice was barely a whisper. “The thought of you leaving tears me apart, a knife twisting into my soul.”

But the romance is there in the sweet gestures and the tender moments between them, and as the story went on I got more and more invested.

The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, with the story left very much in the air. And I’m really looking forward to seeing where things go from here.

This is a sexy and sensuous contemporary romance that portrays the heroine in a more powerful role than the trilogy books of the past. The dynamic both in and out of the bedroom between the main characters Allesandra Sinclair and Hudson Chase is palpable. That can only be accomplished via the fabulous writing that is displayed in this first book release of the trilogy. This is one book you can't and won't put down!! Hudson Chase will have you begging for more! I can't wait to see how the rest of this bedroom/boardroom duo romance unfolds!!

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: A magical summer romance, fast forward 10 years later, high stakes business, family obligations and a very grown up romance.

Opening Sentence: There were few things in life Hudson Chase couldn’t control.

The Review:

Alessandra and Hudson met one year on her family’s summer vacation. She was a rich girl and he was a boy from the wrong the side of the tracks. Fast forward ten years later and Hudson has moved to Chicago and he runs into Alessandra again. Both are immediately attracted to each other again. Before I go anything further I have to say this was my negative with the book, I don’t like cheating on any level. Even when the authors make the person being cheated on the villain, it’s just not my thing at all. Don’t get me wrong, Alessandro’s fiancé rubs you the wrong way from the start. There really isn’t anything redeeming with him at all and by the end of the book he is a total douche. So honestly, I didn’t feel bad for him, but I think any real relationship that starts off as cheating is doomed.

However, this is a book and clearly not real life. That being said, I did really enjoy this, at first I was a little afraid I would get some Fifty Shades vibes. But, the authors threw in some jokes about Fifty Shades and it made me like this book even more! Whew, was this book hot, totally not for young readers, this is adult all the way. Plenty of steamy sexy times that might make you blush. It felt a little like an insta-love, in spite of that the backstory about them being each other’s first love helps you get over that feeling quick. I feel like I should have caught on to some of the things that happened in the book quicker, so I am just going to blame those love scenes as to why I didn’t see the end of the book!

There were several layers to the book; Alessandra is engaged to Julian who is taking over her family business, so clue number one that he might not be all that great. Julian acts like he really can’t stand her and other than her family no one appears to really like him. Alessandra clearly struggles with doing her duty to her family and finding her own niche in life. Hudson has gone from the wrong side of the tracks to a self-made billionaire. As he puts it, he is in the business of acquiring things. Hudson does act like a douche a couple of times in the book, however I like that he admits and apologizes almost right away when it happens, plus he doesn’t do it again.

Alas, that ending, sigh totally designed to suck you in and make you have to (that’s right have to) read the next book which is not out yet, but they so graciously put in a sneak peak. I fully admit that I want to and will read it as soon as it comes out because I just have to know what is going to happen. The book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger and a lot of things up in the air. So if you are looking for a romance that is just tad bit more than just a romance, and you enjoy cliffhangers than this book is for you!

Notable Scenes:

“She shook her head. It was mistake, a brief lapse in judgement. Nothing more.”

“She made it all the way to the cab before the first tear fell.”

Remind Me by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers is one scorcher of a read. The love scenes are amazingly hot, a little kinky, and very sensual. Thank goodness the two main characters are given a second chance to find each other once again, because they truly are each others soul-mates. But beware, this story ends with a cliffhanger and until the second book of the trilogy is published, you many not be able to fully move-on.

Alessandra Sinclair and Hudson Chase met ten years ago during their late teenage years and fell madly in love. Unfortunately, Hudson was from the wrong side of the tracks and Allie was destined to be a trophy wife. Their summer romance ended abruptly, yet they never forgot how they felt about each other. Now Hudson is a self-made billionaire and Allie is an engaged heiress. They meet again at a fundraiser and from that moment on, their lives will never be the same.

What interesting and intricate characters. Based on her childhood, Allie should be a spoiled brat, yet she is a down-to-earth, lovely woman who only wants to help others. She is not in love with the man she is engaged to, and she has no idea that her upcoming nuptials will bring the much needed influx of cash into her family's business conglomerate. Hudson has worked very hard to be the success that he is today. He hit rock bottom years ago, which served as a wake-up call to change his ways. Now he plays in the big leagues, yet past secrets continue to haunt him.

I really liked this book and definitely plan on ready the entire trilogy. The plot is really good, however I felt it was slightly overshadowed by the number of sexual encounters. The secondary characters are unique in their own right and add a ton of interest to the present happenings. Victoria Sinclair, Allie's mom, is a devious witch and her actions are bone-chilling, while Harper, Allie's best friend, has a lot of spunk. Overall, this is a well-written book of lust, love, and business politicking, that twists and turns in all the right places.

Remind Me is the first book in the Chasing Fire series by authors Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers and is contemporary romance filled with enough steam and sizzle between the main characters and snap, crackle, and pop in the story to keep you craving for the sequel. The idea of Hudson and Allie having been teenage sweethearts but he coming from the proverbial wrong side of the tracks meant their romance wouldn't last, then later becoming a billionaire and meeting once again was a nice change of pace for me.

Hudson and Allie's reunion and the revelations that come out later in the story make me wonder if Hudson did, indeed, plan doing what he did. The cynical part of me thinks that it's possible he wanted to get back at Allie for her lack of acknowledgment of him when her parents were around, but then the part of me that's read countless romance novel (okay, okay...the romantic in me then...) refuses to believe that he would be that callous and vengeful. Of course, it's highly possible there's a completely different scenario going on.

I like Hudson and Allie together, especially when he calls her "Alessandra" while he's trying to seduce or impress her but reverts to his old nickname of "Allie" when he's at he most open and vulnerable. The book does end in somewhat of a cliffhanger because there story's obviously not over and I'm more than interested to see what happens in the sequel. I recommend this for bookaholics who love their mega-rich alpha male lead characters and who enjoy a good second chance romance. Remind Me gets 4.5 stars! ♥

OMG!! This was soooo good! Hudson and Allie can sure light a book on fire.

Allie is the girl that got away. But this time, Hudson is determined to have her.

The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts. These two have a history and the connection is still just as strong as it was 10 years ago. There is a lot going on in this story. Allie is put through an emotional wringer when she finds out she was simply a pawn for her father to trade. Then she finds out that Hudson is also keeping things from her. Hudson knows that he only has 2 weeks to convince Allie that they belong together. He knows he won't be able to handle losing her again.

This was a great start to what I am sure will be an amazing series! Excited to see where the story will lead these 2 wonderful characters!

I am someone who does not dedicate my time to books that over promise and under deliver, but Remind Me by AnnMarie Walker and Amy Rogers delivered BIG TIME! So much so that I read the entire book in 10 hours. I received and advanced copy from the publisher and I am so grateful I did.

This story combines the elements of all of the novels in the genre that we have all fallen in love with over the last 5 years. The writing is far more intelligent than that of its peers and dear Lord it's far sexier.

The premise is that, by chance, media heiress Allie Sinclair is reunited with Hudson Chase, a man she had a summer love affair with 10 years prior. Circumstances for both have greatly changed. No longer is Hudson a blue collar kid trying to impress this upper class princess. Now he is an uber rich and powerful business mogul who is intent on getting back the only girl he ever loved. However, family, business, current loves and scars of the past pose major obstacles for the pair. Undeniably the sexual chemistry and experiences will leave you blushing and hoping on a Harley to drive to the nearest Macy's. (Read the book and you'll get it... and you'll thank me later!)

I loved this book! It is the best romance novel I've read since 2012 and I cannot wait for book 2.

A MUST READ! Break me off a piece of Hudson Chase! Step aside business men of the fictional world because there's a new power house in town.

Remind Me is crazy sexy and wickedly addicting. Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers leave you wanting more chapter after chapter!

This book was recommended to me by a friend, who put me in touch with Ann Marie and the rest was history. I want to thank her and Netgalley for allowing me to dive into the pages of this well written story and being able to share my love this book.

The passionate and steamy love story between Alessandra Sinclair and Hudson Chase is like no other. And not only will you find yourself completely invested in these two romantically (one word: motorcycle!), but the twists and turns that this story takes makes it all the more interesting. Outside the realm of what Hudson and Allie share is a deeper plot that really makes this story what it is.

Any book that sets your heart on a roller coaster of emotions, like this one, is worth reading! If you're a fan of the Fifty Shades trilogy and the Beautiful Bastard series, you'll fall in love with this one even more.

Remind Me by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers is their debut novel, and what a great start these two have created.

I was immediately drawn to reading it because of the synopsis. Hot, alpha, billionaire who came from nothing? Yes, please. Seriously, Hudson Chase is one of those guys who will arouse you, and at the same time he’ll pique your curiosity. He’s a hard ass who doesn’t play around in his business dealings, or in going after the girl who got away when they meet up after 10 years. Let me just say he’s got some mad skillz and moves you’re gonna love reading about!

I’ve been staying away from the millionaire/ billionaire reads for the past 6 months. Just felt like there couldn’t be that much new to the storylines. Right now, I’m feeling pretty good about this because I chose to break the fast with a couple of releases that fell right into my lap. Remind Me (Chasing Fire #1) by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K. Rogers is one of these. Remind Me is also a great example of storyline when this sub-genre is done well, really well. If you love Sylvia Days’ Crossfire series, I think that Remind Me is right up your alley. It's not the characters or the storyline, just something in intensity of their relationship , and it easily earned a 5 star rating.

The story centers around Chicago socialite Alessandra (Allie) Sinclair, who at the tender age of seventeen, experienced the best kind of first love, instantaneous and all encompassing. Unfortunately or fortunately, the relationship is conducted well away from her parents and their prying eyes and there’s a good reason for that. Ten years on she’s engaged to a french aristocrat Julian Laurent, but her domineering parents are directing and scheduling her life. So, when her first love Hudson Chase waltzes back into her life, things get a bit chaotic. Hudson is a force, a self made man with a troubled younger brother and a life where his focus is on his growing empire. So when Allie and Hudson are brought back together the re-connection is decidedly strong. Try as she might, she can’t quite shake her fascination with Hudson and Hudson is simply NOT the sort of man who would let the love of his life get away second time. But things are different this time, aren’t they? She's a grown women can choose the path she wants to follow, right? Without giving too much away, Hudson and Allie find that the fickle finger of fate might be giving them another shot. Of course things are vastly different this time. There’s money, resources and power now at Hudson’s disposal. But what he can’t readily provide is more time - They have 2 weeks to enjoy each other much to Hudson's dismay.

Allie has less control of her life and her wedding then she thought. Her future is mapped out and she’s imprisoned by social expectations. Hudson is still deeply in love with Allie and his goal is simple, he needs Allie to choose him, to walk away from her fiance. And Hudson has a plan, a way to convince Allie she’s destined to with him. This plan is what makes this an incredibly erotic read. Hudson really knows how to sweep a woman off her feet, and with Allie, his instincts are spot on. So of course, this is a story also filled with great angst. I was more than a little heartbroken for Allie and her predicament. She believes that her relationship with Hudson is one last fling type of thing and she doesn’t expect anything to change. The notion that only two-weeks with a man like Hudson will be all she needs and its utterly preposterous.

This story had that air of sophistication and a lot of that has to do with how well the characters are developed. Since we get the story from the third person POV, we see Allie and Hudson are they navigate through their affair, hitting some rough patches and making a few bad decisions. There’s no mistaking Hudsons' Alpha tendencies but there’s also a gentle side as well, one pretty much reserved for Allie. And Allie, she’s had her head in the sand and seems to just taking the path least resistance. With all of the characters, even with as little as we see some of them, it’s easy to know who and what they are; a jackass fiance’s, a self important mother, as well as an awesome best friend and the addict riddled brother. The authors do an amazing job giving us just enough so that we can form an opinion - and get just the right impression!

This is an engrossing read. So much so that as I was wrapped up in the passion and drama I didn’t realize how far I was into the book when BAM, there was a moment of realisation that I just read what could only be called a cliffhanger. I hadn’t done my homework so I didn’t realise that there would be more (YAY!!). I’m ecstatic that the seduction and mystery will continue in Release Me and Reclaim Me.

5 Stars and my recommendation!!

I’d been so incredibly excited to read Remind Me ever since I read the blurb. I’m a sucker for second chance romances, and throw in an alpha-male billionaire and I’m a goner. Unfortunately, Remind Me didn’t live up to my expectations. I was expecting a powerful love story that would sweep me off my feet, but Remind Me felt too formulaic for my tastes. At first, I was intrigued, but as I read on I came to realize that everything felt flat. There was no spark for me in this book. The premise had so much potential, but I’m sad to say this book didn’t work out for me.

“From the moment I saw you, I knew you were nothing but trouble.”

Alessandra “Allie” Sinclair and Hudson Chase live completely different lives – she’s the rich, upper class girl and he’s the poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks. And yet they met one summer and fell in love when they were teenagers. I wish we could have gotten more about Allie and Hudson when they were teenagers because they seemed so sweet and adorable together… and much more likable than when they’re older. Things end badly between them by the end of the summer, and Allie and Hudson go their separate ways and don’t see each other until ten years later.

Hudson is a reborn man. During those ten years, he’s become a billionaire and is CEO of his own company. He achieved everything he ever wanted – wealth, power, social status – that he wished he had when he met Allie so that he could be worthy of her. Now, though, with ten years to stew over a broken heart, Hudson is set on making Allie regret leaving him. As much as I wished I could like Hudson, he just came across as too insecure about his wealth. He name-drops a lot and uses money at every whim as if he could erase those years he lived in poverty. His character felt too flat, as if the authors were trying too hard to combine other previously written alpha billionaires.

Allie I liked slightly more, though that’s not saying much. She’s a girl born into wealth, with a family too obsessed with image to actually love each other. She has a fiancé named Julian when she and Hudson reunite, but Allie is too weak to resist Hudson’s seduction. Normally, I wouldn’t feel bad about cheating – if it’s written right. Julian felt like a seedy character so I didn’t feel bad for him, but I didn’t like that Allie is so overcome with lust for Hudson that she turns into a weak character with no backbone. And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but there was too much sex in this book. I had to skim over all the gratuitous sex to get to some actual plot, which was pretty predictable. And FYI, the book ends in a cliffhanger.

So overall, I just didn’t enjoy Remind Me as much as I wished I had. It had such great potential, but fell flat in the end. The characters and story felt too similar to those in other books for me to enjoy. I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t like it very much either.

REMIND ME is the first book in the Chasing Fire Trilogy and it was well written. Hudson is truly my new addiction: Billionaire? Check. Sexy as sin? Check. Affectionate and rough around the edges? Double check! Once you get hooked there is no going back.

Ten years ago Hudson and Allie fell in love when they were just teenagers and it ended by the end of the summer. Now things are different for them. Allie is engaged and Hudson has turned his life around to become the man he is today. Now that he has come across Allie again he isn’t going to let her go this time. Although they both have different things going on in their lives staying away from each other is harder than they thought.
The image of him in the shower, his head down as the water pulsed over his tense shoulders, had haunted her all day. She knew what he wanted, and if she was honest with herself, she’d admit she was starting to want the same thing.

I fell in love with these two right away. You can see the love they once shared for that short time and the love that is building to become something bigger then they both can imagine. This book gives you plenty of drama, adventure, love and plenty of sex. Trust me these two get very creative in and out of the bedroom. But it’s not just about the sex, it’s about the connection these two have and you can tell it is bone deep.

Even though Hudson has womanizing ways with Allie it’s like they never existed in the first place. Hudson basically tries to pick up the relationship where it left off. He is so sweet with her it made me swoon. He actually kept an anklet bracelet that he got for her ten years ago that she thought she lost long ago. It was just super sweet when he gives it to her for the second time.

I couldn’t put this book down and I didn’t want it to end. The plot gets thicker as the story unfolds. Towards the end it was getting super good and then….cliffhanger! I cannot wait to read the next book in this trilogy. I am sure there will be plenty more surprises and drama to come. I am dying to get to the bottom of the secrets that are revealed in this book and I can only imagine what is in store for the next book, Release Me.

Walker and Rogers did an excellent job on the characters and the plot. I am looking forward to reading not only the next two books in this series, but also what these authors will come up with next. Trust me, REMIND ME should be on your to read list.

Very good, story line was subtly different to some of the books in this genre which is difficult to do when you consider just how many books are out there about billionaires falling in love.

Loved the dedication to David Gandy (the author's liking of him is how I discovered this book via Twitter).

As usual I won't write too much so as not to spoil the story for future readers but the ending is good and reading the snippet from book 2 which is at the end only makes me want book 2 very, very soon - intriguing.

I have a new book boyfriend. His name is Hudson Chase.

I am excited to share this next review with you because this is one book (in a series) that hooked me and I didn't want to put down.

I came across Remind Me after reading several comments via social media. The moment I discovered the “muse” or inspiration for this book, I had to read it right away. Yes, I am a proud Gandy girl.

I immediately “one clicked” the book and read it. And, I can honestly tell you it was “unputdownable,” a word I often use with my friends (and students) when we can’t get enough of a book.

Remind Me is a second chance romance, but it’s not your typical story as you will discover when you read. Alessandra and Hudson haven’t seen each other in ten years. Their chemistry was strong years ago. But, life, parents, misunderstandings happen. Ten years later, so many things have changed. Both have moved on with their lives, but it is their reunion that is quite the event.

Let me tell you about the characters. I am a sucker for alpha males and Hudson Chase is the epitome of the true alpha male. He is powerful, gorgeous, demanding, passionate, intense, sexy as hell, funny, rich and lovable. He skyrocketed to the top of my book boyfriends list. Ann Marie and Amy did an amazing job describing this character I am currently infatuated with.

david gandy gif 2

Alessandra Sinclair, the female lead is a beautiful wealthy socialite. Her work with charities makes her a warmhearted and lovable character. Her life is perfectly mapped out for her, or so it seems.

So back to this reunion, it is well, probably the best reunion I have read. Hudson Chase is on the prowl and Allie is his feast. This is where the story gets hot. Yes, be prepared for your eReader to steam up. This book has plenty of exquisitely written love/sex scenes.

There are other developments in this story to keep you on your toes. For one, there is a certain French guy in the picture as well as Allie’s parents and Hudson’s younger brother. But, you will need to read this book to find out what I mean. (Spoiler free review)

I love that the story is written from both Allie and Hudson’s perspectives. The reader is truly able to understand the characters better. I was able to sense all of Allie’s emotions as well as enjoy the intensity and passion that Hudson exudes.

Remind Me is what I consider a “complete book” because it played with all of my reader senses. It does have a surprising ending. I must say I was left hungry, just like Hudson for more.

Fortunately for readers, Release Me, the second book in the series will be out in July. Don’t fret, you’ll have more of Hudson and Allie searing through your eReaders soon.

I really enjoyed this book and proudly congratulate Ann Marie and Amy on their fantastic debut.

I gave this book 5 scorching stars.

Hudson and Allie met when they were teenagers, they had a very heated summer fling but a misunderstanding torn them apart. Allie went back to her hometown and Hudson stayed behind, nursing a broken heart, dealing with the craziness of his home life, and trying to take care of his younger brother.

Ten years later destiny puts them in the same path. This time around Hudson is not the the poor guy from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the CEO of one of the fastest growing companies in the nation. This time around he'll make sure Allie won't go anywhere.

Alessandra Sinclair, AKA Allie, is the daughter of the owner of a media empire, she's all grown up but still being controlled by her parents. She's also engaged to a French man who soon will be her father's business partner.

Hudson's life consisted of his business and the parade of women he entertained, Allie has been subsisting but not really living. All that stops the moment they meet again.

Will Hudson and Allie be able to rekindle their love affair from ten years ago or will her engagement, her family, and the spider web that is Hudson's business world will get in the way of their happily ever after?

First of all, let me tell you that I despise love triangles and cheating, and even though this book have both of them it doesn't feel like the relationship between Hudson and Allie is wrong, you'll understand once you meet the gem that is Julian (Allie's fiancé.)

The characters are very likeable, they're easy to relate to, and Mr. Hudson is one sexy piece of man candy with an incredible good heart. Allie is sweet and for a while there I didn't think she had a back bone but hey, what do you know, the girl surprised me.

Although I found that the writing was smooth and the storyline was compelling the story was a bit slow at times, it dragged, and honestly, even though I enjoyed some of the sex scenes, it got to a point that it was a bit too much. Yes, I know, I'm complaining about too much sex in a book, but as hot as some of the scenes were it got to a point that I really didn't even want to read about it anymore.

The last fifteen percent of the book is extraordinary and will have you on pins and needles. And the little preview we get of the second book will leave you wanting more... like yesterday.

These two have a long road ahead of them but I'm hoping the second book is as good as the first.

This is a good debut novel for these authors, looking forward to read more from them.

P.S. Note to the authors: David Gandy is MINE!!! ;-)

Definitely not your typical sexy billionaire story! I'm a sucker for second chance romances and this hit the spot!!!

Hudson is from the "wrong side" of the tracks, but has worked hard to become his own man. Now as he sits on his expansive penthouse running his billion dollar company, there's one girl he can't seem to shake. I love how the story opens up and how Hudson and Allie find each other again! Allie has memories of a summer love long ago, but has since moved on working for her parents company. Her prim and proper mother would like nothing more than to see Allie we'd off to a sexy Frenchman to continue a fancy frou frou lineage, and Allie is going with the motions until Hudson catches her eye. Just like that, they're zapped back into the summer when they were in love. Allie can't resist Hudson's charms. He's charming and still has a hold over her. Now that Hudson has Allie he can't let her go again, and if she admits it to herself, she doesn't want him to let her go!

What I really liked about this book was seeing a softer side of Hudson. He and Allie wait no time getting reacquainted *wiggles eyebrows*, they are catching up on .ost time. While Husdon is all powerful in the boardroom, what he feels for Allie is so palpable, you can feel through your ereader. He's carrying around a lot of guilt from his mother and brother and underneath his seemingly tough she'll is a man who wants to be good enough for the women he loves and a man who is doing what he can to keep his family from falling apart. Swoon worthy!!! Hudson doesn't get all the praise, I loved it when Allie decides to stand up to her mother and finally start living her life for her, including being with the man she loves. This story is packed with angst, I was on the edge of my seat a few times. There's an unexpected twist towards the end that really sets up Hudson and Allie's story for the next book!
