Twinkle of Doubt is the second book in the Celestial Bodies Romance series. Tess and Jack's relationship is almost picture perfect even with their past trauma and tragedies.

Tess is surrounded by her group of friends who adore and love her deeply. Then you have Jack, a man who is willing to protect the love of his life, his wife, with all his heart and strength. Their love for each other is endless and very cute.

In this book you see Tess's group of friends grow and Jack's protection over Tess when an anonymous threat appears in their life. I love the found family trope because I feel like everyone deserves a group of friends who will protect you, listen to you, and love you unconditionally.

Tropes:
Instant Love
Found Family
Unconditional Love
Overcoming trauma
Slight mention of Grief

The story was not for me but it might be the perfect story for you.

Twinkle of Doubt is a great second book in a series, picking up where things with Tess and Jack left off in book one. There is plenty of love and romance in their lives, which is a beautiful thing to witness. But things can't stay lovely and serene forever, can they?

When the past invades their present, their love and their friends surround them as they find out how important they are to each other and how much their self-worth means. There is plenty of drama to go with the love, which made this a very entertaining and fast-paced story.

Twinkle of Doubt was a great escape read that was needed in my life right now. I will always be grateful and excited to spend more time with Tess and Jack in their world.

This is the 2nd book in the Celestial Bodies Romance series. This book follows Ted’s, a famous novelist and her husband, Jack, a federal agent who have been married for 2 years. They have had a blissful marriage until a threat against her life risks everything that they have dreamt of. Tess and Jack have blended their friend group into a true family and they all have to come together to protect their friend.
This book was a quick read at 191 pages. I liked the suspense that built about halfway through the book which didn’t make this read the typical romance novel. I look forward to the next book in this series!

Thank you to Book Sparks and Patricia Leavy for a gifted copy of this book for review.

Everything feels like it’s about to fall apart—and honestly, I loved every second of the emotional chaos Patricia Leavy delivers in Twinkle of Doubt: A Celestial Bodies Romance. Published by She Writes Press, thank you to the publisher and BookSparks for the gifted copy.

This isn’t just a romance, and it’s definitely not the kind you can breeze through without feeling a little exposed. It’s about what happens after the “happily ever after,” when real life, old wounds, and quiet fears start creeping back in. Tess, a wildly successful author who quite literally writes about hope, and Jack, a counterterrorism agent carrying years of darkness, are two people who should feel safe in love… and yet, doubt still finds a way in.

Reading this felt like sitting in a quiet room with your own thoughts getting louder by the page. The threat against Tess adds tension, sure, but what really pulled me in was the emotional unraveling underneath it. Their relationship isn’t perfect or polished. It’s raw, sometimes frustrating, but deeply human. And I appreciated that. A lot.

There’s a moment that stuck with me:
“Love doesn’t erase doubt, it asks you to face it.”
Yeah… I had to put the book down for a second after that.

If you’re someone who loves character-driven stories, who lingers over emotional depth, who wants romance that actually says something about healing and worthiness, this is absolutely your kind of read. Especially if you enjoy authors who lean into vulnerability rather than just plot twists.

★★★★☆ 4.5 stars

I didn’t walk away from this book feeling swept up in fantasy. I walked away feeling seen, which is somehow better. Tess and Jack’s story reminds you that love isn’t about being fearless, it’s about choosing each other anyway, even when fear shows up uninvited.

So now I’m curious… do you prefer your romances comforting and certain, or a little messy and painfully real?

🗓️Out now!

I was excited to read this second installment in the Celestial Bodies Romance series after enjoying Shooting Stars Above last year, and I do recommend reading the first book beforehand, as the characters’ history and full context is essential.

The story picks up two years into Jack and Tess’s marriage. They’ve grown together, healed some together, and found stability, but that changes when an anonymous threat against Tess disrupts everything and tests their relationship.

At first, the writing felt a bit too simple and the story a little too perfect, somewhat formulaic, very similar to how I felt when reading the first book. Once again I thought I wouldn’t like the book. But just like with the first installment, as the story progresses, the emotional depth and intention behind the story begins to take over. The narrative pulls you in and makes you care more than expected about what’s happening and why it matters.

Beyond portraying a seemingly perfect relationship, the book explores its flaws, resilience, and ability to heal under pressure. Tess’s friendship with Omar is also a highlight, and a meaningful addition to the story, especially in how he helps Jack support Tess through their struggles. It was fun seeing the great group of friends these two had.

Despite some stylistic choices, which I think should be looked at, the book delivers a thoughtful exploration of trauma, relationships, and personal growth, once again packing quite a bit of emotional impact into a relatively short read. I really liked the look into how trauma can manifest and infiltrate your relationships the most here.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Twinkle of Doubt by Patricia Leavy is here, and I absolutely loved it! It’s book two in The Celestial Bodies Romances Series, and I was so excited to receive the cutest PR package from our friends at BookSparks. I had a feeling this one was going to be special... and it definitely didn’t disappoint. ✨📚

The first book in the series, Shooting Stars Above, really stayed with me. As the quote on the cover says, it’s a story that shows the healing power of love, and that message truly resonated with me as I too have had to heal from childhood trauma.

The story follows Tess Lee, a world-famous author who writes about inspiration and happiness but struggles to find those things for herself... until Jack Miller enters the picture. One of my most favorite quotes from Shooting Stars Above is when Tess says to Jack, “I’ve never seen anyone whose outsides match my insides,” referring to the scars on his body. It’s such a powerful and emotional line that captures the heart of their powerful connection.

Twinkle of Doubt continues their love story and explores what happens after happiness is found. Just when we think all is well, new challenges appear and old traumas begin resurfacing. I really enjoyed seeing how their relationship was tested and how they worked through those obstacles together. It felt like real-life stuff, not just made-up stories.

Both books kept me completely engaged, but I don't want to give too much away.... just know they’re definitely both worth picking up!

Always a big thank you to BookSparks and the author for sending these my way! Happy release day!

Twinkle of Doubt begins perfectly where Shooting Stars Above ended! We are back with Tess and Jack after having celebrated their honeymoon and things should be going well, but this seems to be a trend for them. Past traumas come up in their lives, and the two of them must work together to get through it. Jack is such a doting husband and I couldn’t help but fall for him a little bit. Tess is a total sweetheart who makes friends easily, and I felt myself a tad jealous of her. While short, this book packs a punch and will have you feeling all sorts of different emotions alongside the characters. Patricia also left me feeling excited for book 3!

Amazing story!

"Twinkle of Doubt" will provide an engaging yet emotional story that has romance paired with some amount of suspense and intrigue to keep the reader interested but not overly complicated as well. Readers will find themselves following various main characters dealing with how their relationships are affected by being in love, trusting someone, and feeling uncertain about their lives. In most parts of the story, we will relate to the doubts they experience, especially within their relationships. This portion of the story captures how authors create relatable characters by writing about doubts and difficulties that individuals experience within relationships through simple writing.
This is a quick and easy read, as there are not many difficult concepts to grasp, so the writing style is simple and easy to understand for all readers. There are, however, places within the plot of this book that readers may find somewhat predictable...nonetheless, the overall quality of the book is good. If you enjoy reading character-driven, emotionally driven stories with a little bit of drama, then you will definitely want to read this book!

It was wonderful being back with Tess and Jack. These are two wounded and traumatized souls who found each other and are now married. Their love for one another is of storybook proportions.

Jack is a devoted and doting husband, and Tess is incredibly kind and caring to everyone she meets. But their world may be shattered when someone threatens Tess.

I appreciate that Tess and Jack are both still working through their trauma; it never truly disappears, but they are growing in their trust and healing every day. I have to admit, it was hard not to be jealous of Tess in some ways. She is beautiful, rich, everyone loves her, she always knows what to say, and she meets with dignitaries worldwide. I was also thankful that Omar, Tess’s longtime friend, was such an integral part of the story again; I love their supportive and nurturing friendship.

🌠 In these books, we follow Jack, a federal agent, and Tess, a famous writer. Their story begins in a fairly simple way, but there is such an incredible connection that once it starts, there’s no turning back; we follow this couple as they embark on this new chapter of their lives. If you have read El chico que dibujaba constelaciones, you are going to love this book—there is something truly unique about reading how two characters love each other in such a profound way.

💫 I was quite surprised to learn about the characters pasts. Tess Lee is undoubtedly a character who will stay with me for a long time because of what she radiates: peace, resilience, and a love that transcends.

🌟 I also had the opportunity to read the second part of this story, and I can only conclude that these characters are the very definition of love. While this second installment has a bit more action, what truly wins you over are the moments of tranquility—those small conversations between the protagonists, the "I love you," and the way they speak to one another.

3.5 🌟💫

Lovely novel!

When a couple is trying to find a way to resolve their own traumas and, at the same time, keep their love safe. However, when a threat arises against them, their lives undergo changes that may be difficult to erase. ‘’Twinkle of Doubt’’ is a beautiful romantic novel in which love and suspense are present on every page. Every plot twist in this work makes it extremely captivating. The author knows how to captivate us with this story, as the first book is just as good as this one; therefore, I recommend starting with the first one. This second book delves deeper into the relationship and shows how, by supporting your partner, extraordinary things can happen. I really liked the way the author approached the relationship in this installment and how she used this resource to intensify the plot. I highly recommend it.

Jack Miller is a skilled counterterrorism expert, while Tess Lee is a world-famous novelist. They seem as though they have little in common, but they are strongly drawn to each other. They are now a couple, and they’re two years into their marriage. Their passion burns brightly, despite the different worlds they come from.

Then, suddenly, danger reemerges. There is a threat against Tess, and Jack must figure out how credible it is. It soon becomes apparent that the peril is very real, and Jack must rely on his unique skill set to protect his beloved wife. This novel, the second in a series featuring these characters, does a masterful job of showing how trauma shapes each of us and informs the way that we look at the world.

Great book

Twinkle of Doubt, while dealing with love, isn't its central theme. It prompts reflection on trust in relationships, trauma, and resilience, as Tess faces a threat and finds support from Jack to overcome the difficulties. The book reveals the psychological struggles of its characters, particularly the protagonist, in a world where men are often unable to fully express their fears and feelings due to societal repression.

This book allowed me to analyze the inner fears we all have and the barriers we create for ourselves, exploring how these can be overcome and addressed. It keeps you in constant suspense as you try to decipher what will happen and how the story will end.

A page-turning story

“Twinkle of Doubt” is a great romance penned by Patricia Leavy. The story revolves around Tess Less, a successful and well-known novelist, and Jack Miller, a federal agent in charge of antiterrorism. They're together and they have a beautiful and true relationship but there's something that disrupts their tranquillity. So, they must learn to trust again in each other and avoid a detachment.
What I liked about this story is that it shows the patience, love and respect that a couple must have in a relationship. Despite the ups and downs, they fight for their love and commit themselves to keep on moving in the same direction. I really loved the plot and the characters’ portrayal. I highly recommend this novel.

amazing book!

In this incredible book, we follow Tess and Jack's story after they reach their apparent happy ending, showing how their relationship is tested as they face insecurities, doubts, and the lingering effects of past traumas. While romance remains central to the novel, the story shines brightest for its exploration of trust, vulnerability, and mutual support in the face of the unknown. The author also incorporates elements from the universe that add a special touch and strengthen the emotional connection between the protagonists. Despite some predictable moments, the novel is moving and compelling, ideal for those who enjoy character-driven romances that explore the possibility of second chances. Without a doubt, a book I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

They’re back! I couldn’t wait to catch up with Tess and Jack from Shooting Stars Above (The Celestial Bodies Romance #1.) This story picks up two years later when their love, even stronger now, is put to the test. Their lives are thrown into chaos by threats and memories of past trauma. The strong thread of unconditional love and its power to heal damaged emotions flows throughout the narrative.

The whole cast of characters is fully developed, and each one draws the reader into his/her intimate lives. I also love that Tess is a writer. The best news of all is that Book #3, Constellations of Love, is coming in spring 2027.

Tess and Jack move in completely different worlds, and the book keeps both of them active the whole time. You’re following what she’s dealing with and what he’s handling at the same time. When things start to escalate, especially with the threats Tess receives, their relationship becomes more visible in what they do, not just in what they say. Jack doesn’t lose control or make things bigger than they are. He pays attention, stays present, and you can tell he understands the situation without needing to explain it. That’s what made those moments feel more serious, because his reaction matches what’s at risk. Even with everything happening around them, their connection still holds its place without getting lost in everything else.

Twinkle of Doubt is a great choice of words for the title of this romance, because the previous book in this series has a positive ending for Tess and Jack, but this second volume introduces a new strain on their relationship. Doubt creeps into their love.

I noticed by reading this novel that there is more to healing past trauma than just forgetting about it. The author makes us see a strong contrast between Jack who tries to suppress his feelings and his past and Tess who has a more holistic approach.

There are a lot of life lessons to learn from this romance. It makes it a deeper story than most other books in this genre. Highly recommended.

I love romance books, and this one really pulled me in. It’s got a bit of everything (love, some danger, past issues) and the connection between Tess and Jack felt very real to me.

I liked that their relationship isn’t perfect. They've both got their own baggage, and sometimes they don’t really know how to deal with it, but you can see they care and try in their own way.

It also touches on heavier stuff like fear, trust, healing… but without being too heavy-handed about it. And the suspense kept me reading, I didn’t want to stop.
In the end, it made me think how loving someone also means opening up, even when it’s hard. I’d recommend it, it’s an easy and engaging read.

Twinkle of Doubt by Patricia Leavy is a romance novel that explores the unlikely relationship between a novelist and a counterterrorism agent. In this novel, Tess and Jack have been married for two years and their relationship has only become stronger. A strange threat challenges the stability of their relationship, however, and sets off a chain of events that threatens everything they thought they knew.

I enjoyed the fact that this novel explores a couple already in a marriage, which is relatively uncommon in romance novels. The book is also a decent thriller, although I felt that sometimes the author relied a little too heavily on common tropes. I am giving this book four stars.

I just finished Twinkle of Doubt, the second installment in Patricia Leavy's Celestial Bodies Romance series, and my heart is full.

After falling for Tess and Jack in Shooting Stars Above, seeing their "epic love" tested by high-stakes danger and inner shadows was a total rollercoaster. Leavy has this incredible way of balancing deep, emotional healing with page-turning tension.

If you love a romance that doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff while still promising all the hope in the world, add this to your TBR immediately.

This is a stunning book series.

I love Tess Lee, Jack, Omar, and all their friends. Shooting Stars Above had my whole heart...and the same was true with this book. These characters tap into something very deeply human. Twinkle of Doubt is a testament to the humanity in our lives—the joys of love, friendship, and laughter, as well as the challenges of trauma and life-changing events. I started reading it as a gift to myself, and it held my heart. It’s so inspiring and just so good. I highly recommend this book.

If you’re in the mood for something thoughtful with a creative twist, Twinkle of Doubt is a really engaging pick. It blends romance, real life, and tension in a way that feels fresh but easy to connect with. It takes place after the happily ever after, when their relationship is tested. The characters are relatable, especially if you’ve ever wrestled with big life questions or self-doubt. I loved how it makes you think without feeling heavy. It’s one of those stories that sparks (no pun intended @BookSparks) good conversation and leaves you reflecting long after you’ve finished.

I think what I enjoy about this romance novel is that it touches a lot of, sometimes, taboo topics in relationships, like fear and doubts. I don't think the author was aiming to reflect on the book too deeply, but I couldn't pass on that. It has a lot going on.
I like Tess and Jack, and how they navigate certain situations and feelings. It is a book full of romance and also suspense here and there, keeping the story interesting.
Overall, I think this novel could be a very good pick to enjoy this spring. So, probably every reader into romance novels won't be able to pass on it.

Sincere

I read the first book, and I was really excited to continue Tess and Jack’s story, and this sequel didn’t disappoint at all. It was more mature and deeper than the first one.
I really appreciated how the author didn’t shy away from showing how past experiences can still affect a relationship, even years later. The dialogue was natural, and some conversations really stayed with me. It’s not overly dramatic, but it’s very sincere. A solid follow-up that expands the characters in a meaningful way.

This is an absolutely beautiful and riveting love story. There is so much love between Tess and Jack, and among the friends, that you can feel it coming off the pages. Omar is the best friend we all want. I loved Shooting Stars Above and the second book is even better. While it can be read on its own, you will get even more if you read the whole series. I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I think I would have liked this more if I read book one first. It isn’t necessary to follow book two but some of the plot points would have likely hit harder with more context. In general, not a bad book. It has a slow start (major plot point/conflict is at like 60%) and it feels like it resolves quickly but I like the plot twist.

As the second book in the series, reading in order would definitely add some extra background and depth to the characters, but even coming into it without that context, I could put most of the pieces together.

The story begins with Tess and Jack returning from a trip to Maui, celebrating their second wedding anniversary. It’s obvious they’re madly in love, so when Jack suggests walking away from his job to spend more time together, I was all in as with half a billion in the bank, why not live life exactly how you want?

The opening chapter does a great job of setting the tone, giving you an early glimpse of just how intense and layered the emotions will be across all the characters.

Tess has that magnetic quality where people are instantly drawn to her, and with her vast global network, she moves through high-stakes situations with ease, smoothing over even the most impossible deals like a natural diplomat. But at what cost to her?

Jack, on the other hand, feels almost undone by how much he loves her, carrying a quiet fear of losing it all.

As the story unfolds, their relationship is put under real pressure, and you see both of them forced to confront parts of their past in order to have any chance of moving forward together.

This ended up being the perfect poolside read. Something about the mix of sunshine, water, and a story that carries you along so effortlessly just worked. It’s easy to slip into Tess and Jack’s world, especially with the blend of romance, tension, and a touch of escapism. There’s enough depth woven into the story to keep your mind engaged but it gives you that balance of switching off while still having something meaningful to think about as you read

I loved the epilogue, and it was even better knowing there’s a third book in the series on the way next year.

Many thanks to Booksparks and the author for sending me a copy of this book so that I could share my thoughts. #TwinkleOfDoubtReviewTour

4 1/2 stars. Further adventures and truths for Tess and Jack. They were a sweet couple, completely trusting each other although a few past events were brought forward. This book continued their growth and a firmer future with a couple hiccups. I enjoyed the story and loved seeing every one of their friends and family back supporting both through the stalker situation. The ending showed how much they enjoyed being together.

This is my unsolicited review.

Good development

This is not a typical romance book as I'd thought when starting reading it. I found it to be more introspective. The story has topics such as self worth, fear and having difficulty accepting love. There are also suspense elements which I enjoyed. It's not a quick read and that's something I didn't enjoy so much really. I think readers who enjoy emotional depth over action will appreciate it the most. It left me thinking even after I finished it.
