I 500 år har de mægtige kæmpeulve og indbyggerne i Nocturna dannet alliance i den konstante krig med naboriget Astreona. Ulvene vælger deres ryttere blandt adlens unge eller blandt få, heldige soldater, og kun de stærkeste overlever den efterfølgende træning.



Meryn har aldrig drømt om at knytte bånd med en ulv, men da hendes søster bliver kidnappet af fjenden, slutter Meryn sig til hæren for at finde hende og danner uventet bånd med Anassa, en stoisk og intelligent hunulv, som ellers aldrig har vist interesse for at knytte bånd til en rytter.



Sammen kastes de ud i et nådesløst udskillelsesløb, hvor de svage dør, og de stærke kæmper om de få, eftertragtede pladser i deres respektive flokke. Ethvert tegn på svaghed straffes omgående og brutalt.



Og Meryn er et nemt offer, for hendes bånd til Anassa virker svagt, og hendes spirende relation til rigets kronprins hjælper ikke ligefrem på hendes popularitet.

If you love books like Fourth Wing and The Hunger Games, you’re going to love Direbound! It pulls you in immediately and is fast paced, action packed, and full of plot twists. I swear every single chapter ends on a cliffhanger and I could NOT put it down! I closed the book and just sat there like… um excuse me? I need the next one immediately!!

3.5…..This book began great. The main character was great, though I did wish she would be a bit nicer to her wolf!

The book unfortunately loses steam in the middle.

I liked the end, and wanted more of this.

It was very predictable, everything that I thought would happen did, and normally I see nothing coming in books.

I probably won’t read book 2, and I wouldn’t read this again.

IF you like stories with wolves I do recommend this, but it won’t blow you away.

Loved it. I couldn't stop. It was like Fourth wing, Hunger games and Game of Thrones had a baby.
I loved the story progression. The action scenes were very well done. Everything was beautifully described. The plot twists were great. The love/hate relationship and the building tension was delicious.
I listened on audible and both of the narrators did great. (The male voice is the same as Xaden from fourth wing so of course that was a plus).
Instantly going to book 2, but devastated that book 3 isn't out until July 27, 2027. 😫

Lo disfruté muchísimo!!! Cómo es fantasía, puede decirse que es "predecible" pero a la vez no lo es. La verdad lo disfruté, el desarrollo de los personajes Sus plot twist y las escenas 🌶️🌶️🌶️ son de las mejores que he leído en mucho tiempo.

I stopped and started this a lot of times. I was salty because it was too close to Fourth Wing. I got over that because TBH I am reading for a good time after all. I also predicted a few things but who didn’t? Im still ready for the next one!

Well when I started I was with the feeling that ‘it’s just fourth wing with wolves’, enjoying the read but nothing original. Then it got extra good! I couldn’t put it down and that last 100 pages - yes please! Now I need to wait for book 2…!!

Dette er en super spændende serie indspireret af bøger som "Hunger Games", "Fourth Wing" og "Powerless" - bare med ulve og vampyrer! Vi forkæles med masser af drama, overraskelser, hemmeligheder, forbudte følelser, hårde kampe og farlige udfordringer, uventede bånd og venskaber og hjerteskærrende situationer. En fattig ung pige skal kæmpe for overlevelse iblandt de rige og privilegerede, samtidig med at hun skal finde en måde at redde sin kidnappede søster på. Men intet går som forventet. Overraskelser og hemmeligheder er tæt på at knække hende og et uventet bånd til en kæmpeulv er tæt på at ødelægge hendes planer. Men måske kan det vise sig at være en fordel. og da det ser mørkst ud, skal hun finde modet til at stå op imod en farlig fjende og finde sine sande allierede. Men vil forventningerne til hende og det store ansvar være for tungt at bære? En virkelig spændende start på en ny serie.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa; fue agonizante leer este libro y de verdad lo termine por que necesitaba saber que pasaba y termina horrible 🤨. killian(Lee) ; super cliché desde el segundo capitulo me di cuenta que mentía y despues de que Mer se da cuenta quien es ufff los sabia como 20 capítulos antes.

La historia tiene un aire a los juegos del hambre y alas de sangre es como un enredo de los dos pero malooo
Que me gusto ?? los vínculos con los lobos una pasada; pero nada mas No seguiré con el segundo libro sufrir leyendo este dure una semana completa y el libro no logró atraparme en ningún momento.

I knew this was going to blow up the moment I read the first few lines, a strong fmc is all I crave when reading fantasy, I really loved the writing just wish we had stark's pov too anyway it was definitely a 4 star read, sable really did something with this one can't wait for fury bound to drop
