Instead, a relationship coach and guest lecturer, Dr. Lila Devine, is found dead in the hotal with a cup of half-eaten ice cream from Chloe’s Sweetheart Creamery and Chloe becomes a suspect. However, Chief Noah Chandler was aware that dozens of townspeople had been eating from that batch of the new ice cream and were fine. He does not think it was the cause of death. But until the coroner finishes the examination, he can’t dismiss her as a suspect. Something toxic had definitely been consumed by the victim. So Chloe immediately begins an investigation to clear her name, joined by bookstore owner Annie’s talking Siamese cats, Leo and Luna, adept at finding clues. Former magical detective Jonathan Mann offers his help as well. Will they be able to find the real murderer? And will the two of them find themselves attracted to each other during the course of the investigation?

Titled: 10 scoops of Excellence.
I've been 'following Leo and Luna" everywhere. I really like those two intuitive, talking magic cats ! And Chloe Lovelace came in a fast second. She was awesome. And so was the many multi-magic people of this quaint, talented town of Quillhaven. They were normal but with an added twist of magic to round them out. Non-threatening for the most part but most were extremely helpful wanting to only help others.
The story behind the naming Chloe's magic ice cream shop was not only sweet but also explained a lot. I really liked Jonathan Mann, the mysterious former detective and I adored the fact that he was written as part Native American ! The author did a great job of describing the details of each person's character and appearance. SO much so that I could actually almost "see" them." Leo and Luna make a new friend. Jonathan's "friend'' that went with him everywhere, the glowing orb oddly named "Indi"
It was a clean, clever murder mystery with the sparks of love included. Also a couple of long suffering characters like Noah the sheriff who was fair but also skeptical. He was one of the two people in the town who suffered Leo and Luna's presence and meddling. Funny. Their "owner" Annie adored them.
The murder gets solved after several red herrings that were necessary to the story as was a few repeated parts of the story because of the multiple points of views and conferences with people trying to find out the truth ! And they all do ! Great endings and beginnings.

4 Stars: A Delightful & Enchanting Mystery!
Tessa Silver has truly outdone herself with Deadly Summer Crush: A Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery! I started reading her books this spring and I can confidently say that each book in this series gets better and better. This one is no exception.
The plot line is engaging from start to finish. When Chloe Lovelace's new ice cream flavor accidentally stirs up a murder, the mystery that unfolds is both clever and full of unexpected twists. I was trying to piece together the clues alongside Chloe and wishing I could get a sample of her ice creams.
What truly makes this book shine are the characters. Chloe is incredibly relatable, and her journey to clear her name (and save her beloved Sweetheart Creamery!) is a joy to follow. And of course, Leo and Luna, Quillhaven's talking Siamese cats, are as delightful and insightful as ever – their magical instincts add such a unique and charming layer to the sleuthing. The introduction of Jonathan Mann, the former magical detective with his mysterious past and glowing orb sidekick, brings a fantastic new dynamic, and the unexpected attraction between him and Chloe adds a lovely slow-burn romance to the mix.

Leo and Luna, a pair of magical, talking cats, are on the case. Jonathan Mann, a regular in Chloe's store and a former magical detective with a glowing orb for a companion, also helps. And as they investigate, the attraction between Chloe and Jonathan builds.
This has been an awesome series and this book's no exception. This was a quick, fun read that was well-written with well-developed characters, both those we meet in this book and those from previous books. This book is the sixth in the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mysteries series. I truly enjoyed this mystical book, it has everything to make you being a part of the storytelling. Lovely characters, the death of a visitor to Quillhaven that needs to be resolved. The investigation is opened and leads us to Chloe the owner of Sweetheart Creamery, and Jonathan Mann. They will work together to solve the mysterious death. As the story unravels the paths lead them in different directions. The mysterious happenings and the fact that one of the habitants of Quillhaven is accused to have killed the relationship coach Lila Devine. Several people are suspected and the investigation takes a lot of joint effort including the lovely cats Leo and Luna. Chloe and Jonathan team-up and will take us where the magic brings them.
It's indeed a cozy mystery story that makes you feel happy reading it. I enjoyed every part of the story and I'm grateful to have read this book and can definitely recommend this read!

Chloe Lovelace owns Sweetheart Creamery, an enchanted ice cream shop. Her newest flavor, Summer Crush is a big hit in Quillhaven until a serving of her ice cream is found beside a dead body. The victim is Lila Devine, a relationship coach who is in town to give a seminar. Chloe is determined to clear her name, so with the help of her friends Jonathan and Annie, she begins to investigate other possible suspects. Can they find the killer before her reputation is ruined?
This book is a great read! The characters are likable, the plot is interesting and easy to follow and there are twists and turns that keep the reader engaged throughout the book. There is also a budding romance between Chloe and Jonathan. I have read a couple of books in this series and I like how Silver incorporates reoccurring characters from past books but the main story revolves around new characters. If you enjoy magic, romance and mystery, you’ll want to try this book.

Chloe Lovelace has a new icecream flavour called Summer Crush but it elicits anything but romance ,there’s not a chance . Oh dear you say,what’s amiss. Well I’ll telling you this it spells trouble. Especially when a relationship Dr. Lila Devine dies from a taste of the Sweetheart Creamery’s sweet treat and it goes to waste . Are they moving in haste ? Of course they are . Pointing a finger at her ? How bizarre? But this means getting down to some serious level sleuthing to find some clues ,or find some truth serum brews. There’s Leo and Luna ,Quillhaven’s resident Siamese Cats with magical powers who can talk too , a very advantageous crew. Sharp magical instincts and clued in magical senses too. Jonathan Mann joins them as well ,he’s an old magical detective from a magical past with his orb sidekick . Well it’s not a common thing to have but it’s useful and they have it to hand which is grand. Great ,immediately immersive storytelling that’s compelling with fantastic characters that get better and better as the series traverses along. The storyline divine and strong.

Quillhaven residents turn out in droves to Chloe Lovelace's Sweetheart Creamery ice cream shop to try her new seasonal magic flavor - Summer Crush. Her new creation gets rave reviews. However, the gossip about town is all about the famous relationship guru, Lila Devine, and her relationship workshop. When Lila shows up in Chloe’s shop to try the ice cream, Chloe senses something a little off when she hands her the cup. Even local feline sleuths, Luna and Leo, sense something is not quite right with Lila. When Lila's body is found the next morning with an ice cream cup from Chloe's store lying next to her, is Chloe responsible for causing Lila's death by poisoning? Newly retired detective Jonathan and his glowing orb assistant Indi, along with Leo and Luna, set out to help Chloe to clear her name. As always, we get to visit with the Quillhaven characters from earlier books in the series. There is also a budding romance that develops as the mystery gets unraveled.

When Chloe Lovelace introduces a new ice cream flavor at her Sweetheart Creamery the entire town of Quillhaven wants a taste of her latest concoction, Summer Crush, including the visiting relationship coach. But when the woman is found dead at the local inn, all evidence points to Chloe and her beloved ice cream shop. With the help of Leo and Luna the magical Siamese as well as Jonathan Mann, a new Quillhaven resident and former magical detective, Chloe is determined to prove that her newest ice cream flavor is not responsible for the death of the controversial relationship coach. As always, the characters jump off the page and capture the imagination and interest of the reader. Well written and engaging with fast-paced dialog these characters are just one of the reasons that this is a must-read book. A fantastic cozy mystery with a surprising twist and a little bit of sweet and clean romance.

DEADLY SUMMER CRUSH is the sixth installment in the Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mystery series by Tessa Silver. These stories have quirky characters and light-hearted fun that had me hooked from beginning to end. There are enough twists and turns in each story to keep things interesting.
Chloe Lovelace, owner of Sweetheart Creamery, has unveiled her new Summer Crush ice cream imbued wild honeysuckle. Unexpectedly, a customer is dead, and Chloe is the prime suspect. Jonathan Mann, a retired detective, recently settled down in Quillhaven and is attracted to Chloe and wants to help her prove her innocence. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick and fun story. Leo and Luna truly add a truly fun twist to everything with their snark.

Another great book by Tessa, just finished reading. Chloe owns a ice cream shop and she always seems to be there when something bad happens. Chloe was celebrating her new ice cream she created that had magical properties. She had lots of customers in the shop and a new person to town came in and introduced herself and her assistant. This person was a Dr. who declares she can help people find their soul mate. Things changed the next morning when Chloe found out the Dr. was found dead in her hotel room. She explained to a customer about what she heard and they decided to check it out. This is where things got interesting so I will just say a lot of things happened and they had to dig deep to solve this crime. Check out this book and walk with Chloe and Johnathan to solve this murder.

Oh my another Tessa Silver magical mystery murder! Here we are again in Quillhaven this time with Chloe Lovelace from Sweetheart Creamery Ice Cream shop. Chloe’s new flavour ice cream Summer Crush is ready to be tasted by all the town including Dr Lila Devine who’s running a relationship workshop at the Haven Hill Inn with her assistant Sloane Cross, but an unexpected death soon sees the the shop closed and Chloe being under suspicion. Jonathon Mann ex magical detective helps Chloe and Police Chief Noah Chandler solve the murder! Love, friends and magical Ice Cream all come together in this lovely magical read. I just love Quillhaven, a quaint magical town with many magical people. This book centers around Chloe, the owner of Sweetheart Creamery ice cream parlour. After a visiting lecturer is found dead with the remnants of ice cream from her shop, Chloe along with Jonathan, a former magical detective and the wonderful Siamese cats, Luna and Leo.
This book has a nice mystery, no violence, interesting characters, humour and magic.
Because Chloe makes magical ice cream, a lot of the book features wonderful sounding flavours that Leo has to try.
I’m not a big ice cream eater, basically vanilla, but I found that I was craving the different flavours that she created.
This is a light, easy reading, cozy, paranormal mystery.
Like I said, I love Quillhaven and would move there in a flash.
This book has a nice mystery, no violence, interesting characters, humour and magic.
Because Chloe makes magical ice cream, a lot of the book features wonderful sounding flavours that Leo has to try.

Chloe Lovelace runs the Sweetheart Creamery in Quillhaven, where she sells ice cream enhanced by a little white magic. Her newest flavor, Summer Crush, is not just part of the book title; it was the last thing the murder victim ate. Several flavors later, Chloe and friends (including two talking cats) solve the case... This cozy unfolded gently with light doses of magic sprinkled throughout. In the end, I felt like I’d read an almost tranquil story with a bloodless murder that was solved by means of soft magic, not hard detective skills. I found it pleasant reading but with more of a fantasy than mystery feeling to it.

Chloe Lovelace owns the Sweetheart Creamery in Quillhaven. She is revealing her new flavor, Summer Crush, at the same time Dr. Lila Devine comes to town for her Soul Mates conference. The local Inn owner who is hosting the conference reveals that he has heard from fellow in owners, that several couples broke up after her conference in their towns. They find out Lila was investigating romances in their town and they believe she is going to reveal secrets of town residents. When she is found dead, Chloe becomes a suspect because one of her ice cream cups if found next to her. With the help of Jonathan Mann, a former magical detective they investigate the clues to who the real killer is, so Chloe can reopen her shop.

Chloe Lovelace new ice cream flavor Summer Crush is the new magical flavor at the Sweetheart Creamery. As the people come in to try it, two ladies come in to try ice cream and let everyone know about a relationship seminar taking place in their town, but before much time goes by Noah, the police chief comes by to say that the lady has died of poisoning with a cup of ice cream in her room. Jonathan, the new man in town, has been part of a magical council in the past and now is helping solve the case. With Leo and Luna the cats and the rest of the group they figure out why she died and who did the killing. Another great Quillhaven story!

Stories with animals are great but when the cats can talk, how can it get any better? Chloe's newest ice cream flavor unfortunately seems to be the cause of death of a relationship coach. Chloe has to figure out what really happened before her ice cream shop is out of business for good. Chloe along with the town's two magical talking cats are on the case. A detective is also helping them out although it's hard to concentrate with the sparks flying between him and Chloe? Can this mystery be solved before anyone else dies? Readers are kept glued to their seat through the conclusion. Fantastic mystery!.

Chloe's ice cream shop is very popular in Quillhaven. Her newest flavor, Summer Crush, was created to stir up romance and was a huge hit. Unfortunately, that night, a visiting relationship coach dies after eating a bowl of it. Even though everyone knows the ice cream is not involved, Chloe is forced to close her doors. To save her business and clear her name, Chloe jumps into the investigation. With the help of a pair of talking Siamese cats and a former magical detective, can Chloe find the killer? Very well written story with a touch of humor and budding romance that will leave you begging for more! If you haven't read them, go back and get the first 5 books in this series!

Deadly Summer Crush is a beautiful magical story with Chloe who is a Magical Ice Cream Shop Owner with her friends Annie a Book Shop Owner with her clever, sleuthing, magical talking cats Leo and Luna with Jonathan who used to be a Detective and has a Magical Orb Indigo. They all look into the mystery which started at the Inn. The investigation needs to determine if it is maybe a magical mystery . I highly recommend this excellent story and series.

This is another fun, cozy mystery in the Quillhave series and I have loved reading them all! While it is later in the series (5 or 6?) all of them can be easily be read as stand-alone books; each introduces it's own set of new characters.
I enjoyed Chloe & her magical ice cream and her sweet romantic interest in Jonathan. The floating orb that is Indie is an interesting character add, and of course, Leo & Luna, the magical Siamese cats are always my favorite characters!!
If you enjoy fun, sweet, easy mystery reads, pick up Deadly Summer Crush (or any of the Quillhaven Mysteries!)

All Chloe wanted to do was showcase her new ice cream flavour, but then one of her customers is found dead shortly after being in her store.
I really enjoy this cozy mystery series. The characters are wonderful and a little quirky, who could resist two talking cats? The storyline has enough turns to keep you engaged but not so many that you are getting lost. A really wonderful combination. The perfect book to relax with.

I really like this series, each character has a story and it's told on it's own. Chloe has the ice cream shop and it sounds wonderful. I can picture it in my mind, along with Quillhaven - which is a place I want to move to! Good story with great characters and of course, it's not Quillhaven unless Luna and Leo are there! I love those two, they are fantastic. Lots of interesting characters roaming around town. Really good story.

Can ice cream enhanced with a bit of magic help solve the murder of a Lila, a relationship coach? She is found dead in her room at the inn where she is conducting a workshop on relationships and has plans to reveal secrets of couples living in the town. Who wanted Lila dead? Several suspects come to mind by ice cream shop owner Chloe and a couple friends. Will they be able to help the police solve the murder? Quite interesting characters, and lots of magic involved in this cozy mystery. Definitely a must read.

Listened to book 5 Deadly Summer Crush Book of Quillhaven Magical Cozy Mysteries. Chloe has a new ice cream flavor Summer Crush is the new magical flavor at the Sweetheart Creamery. But there is a new murder. Now she needs help in solving the murder so she can reopen her shop. So there is magical detective in town named Johnathan Mann, his magic with the clues to help Chloe solve the murder. We cannot leave out the two talking cats Leo and Luna and the help they can provide. Go read or listen to the book to see what happens and if they get a HEA.

The sixth tale set in magical Quillhaven - like the title, this book is a lovely sweet treat of a cozy mystery. It doesn't require that the previous books be read first - although it is great if you've read some or all before, so then you can recognise some returning characters. I loved all of the characters - sadly our time together was quite short! A delightful cozy mystery escape, with magic sprinkled throughout.
