Great Book. I thought I had given a review of this book, it was exciting and compelling, well written and fast-moving, the story was excellent and I do like the way that Stephen Leather writes his stories, and Spider Shepherd is my most loveable person, he sees fairness and no unnecessary violence in anything and he always comes out the other side one way or another.
These series of short stories are good reads for fans of this genre of literature. Some of the plot lines are a trifle far fetched and stretch credulity at times. The constant reintroduction of the main characters is also a little irksome. Having said that worth packing for long haul flights etc.
a great little collection of short stories that really give you the back story of spider shepherd and introduce you to some of his mates that pop up in the spider books.
the stories are all well written and are very entertaining
Like all the books by this author they are well written and capture your attention and imagination alike. Some of the descriptive terms of places and personnel are over repeated, as I suspect these are individual stories stitched together. That aside enjoyable
Another collection of short stories featuring Dan 'Spider' Shepherd, and his time serving with the SAS. A couple of them I had read previously, but I enjoyed them, so it was no chore to read them again. All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in the series, both full length, and these collections of short stories. The closest I can come to another series similar to these are the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, but the Spider Shepherd books are definitely my preference. Purely because of Nationality, as The English locations and expressions are easier for me to understand.
