A collection of science fiction and speculation.
One novella, seven short stories and a duo of flash fiction

SECOND LIFE: Brenda has lived in Dungoora for as long as she can remember, just like everyone else in the tiny outback town. She lives with an old man that could be her grandfather and with a young girl that could be her daughter. Except they're not. The secret that bonds the small community is both comforting and claustrophobic. Even in a town full of secrets, it's difficult to keep any of your own.

FORTUNE: If you could see the future, would you look?

AIR FIRE WATER EARTH: A four part story told in reverse.

MECCA: A 'Femme' novel prequel.

THE SONG: A tale from the depths of the Brisbane River.

...and many more tales of science fiction and speculation.

New Zealand born author Delia Strange was an only child with an active imagination. Her bookcase overflowed with stories of fantasy and science fiction. Her local library was her favourite place to visit. Always a reader, she hadn't considered writing until a childhood friend said they should write their ideas and stories down. Once Delia began writing stories, she couldn't stop.

While I am always drawn to short story books I am rarely satisfied reading them. Just as I get invested in the characters, the story ends and I am left a little hollow. The same thing happened this time although I enjoyed the read. I had a thought half way through that Strange has a lot of ideas for books that do not get developed beyond the first chapter, so she writes them as a short story concept instead. Just my opinion, but it read that way. Some out there stories, always a little mystery to keep you guessing. Give it a go, there is merit here.
