Annis Del Pounce has unresolved business with Mineral Tech. Her so-called business partner, Mr. Higgins, has been embezzling funds and engaging in underhanded tactics with her rivals. Annis won’t tolerate that!
From legal battles and shadow operations, Annis and her crew must navigate it all, but on the bright side, now that the Union knows she’s alive, she’s reconnected with her parents! If things go as planned, she might just get a much-needed break from it all and a nice, relaxing vacation.
Expect more fun adventures, witty dialogue, magic, new tech, R&D, evolving battle tactics, and light-hearted moments between the violent encounters with greedy corporate lackeys!
And of course, more of Annis and her crew handing out a whipping!
Annis is still learning while the anti-aging meds have prevented much growth in a physical fashion. She is starting to feel better able to interact with other people without being overwhelmed by stress, and these days she’s better at shrugging off the persistent instances where she’s not taken seriously due to her apparent age. Of course Emit continues to produce ever more amazing technologies that beggar belief (even accepting magic as fact). His abilities are a major factor in their current success & will be an ongoing development in the future of the series IMHO.
Some new developments will become personal challenges for Annis & her growing family (using the term for the people we choose rather than just the biological idea)
Starlight Corporation being the third book in this series carries on where the previous book left off, and continues on into the path of more space battles, more genius, more problem solving (both of the scientific and people kind) and of course, a pretty good advancement of the storyline as well. I have no idea how many books are planned for this series, but for what it's worth, I liked this one, and will keep an eye out for more in the series, I like this series, it's a nice scifi series that works well for my tastes.
After a bit of a wait, the third installment in the Annis Del Pounce series is out, and I am extremely happy. The characters are all back, and they show growth and throw in a surprise or two of their own. And no one deals with more changes than the central character, Captain Annis Del Pounce! Relationships are strengthened and everyone is true to their backstory. The book benefits from this, as it very much a character driven story, and if you liked the first two books, you'll feel at home in this one. To the author, well done! Please don't make me I mean us, wait too long for book four.
I really liked reading this 3 book series. Annis is a great Character And it just so happens that her 1st name is the same as my great aunt Annis Marie. But no matter, I Really enjoyed The character and the story lines And and I'm looking forward to reading book #4 if and when it gets written. The Author Is really good at telling a story and developing characters and keeping The plot moving. I'm not wanting To try and create some great Storytelling of my own, all I can say is to any who want to read a really good and engaging story with well-developed characters this series is quite good.
Actually I think I can express why I like this series so much. Annis is thinking about others well being, as good leaders do, while taking advantage of opportunities as they come. She recognizes opportunities for what they are and exploits them with precision. She isn’t as flawed or wrong as much as she thinks she is. You have to read this series in order to enjoy it properly. Lots of adventure, but also the day to day mundane isn’t ignored, and I appreciate that investment in the reality of a character. I’m looking forward to the next installment!
Alternate universe, interstellar societies, base building, magic and advanced technology
In many ways, the life Annis leads qualifies as YA because the language is so clean, and despite the many battle, the scenes aren't overly graphic. Still, the drama is well written and the large cast of characters are uniquely their own person. With her boyfriend's abilities, they are formidable as they are, but difficult to replicate. It will be interesting to see where this series goes. Above average editing. Interested in book 4 when it comes out.
This has been such an uplifting and fun read. A wonderful space faring magical journey. It a story of how the tenacity of a young lady with special powers just keeps falling up. I have been looking forward to this chapter in the series for a long time and got it as soon as it was available. And am looking forward to the next one .I hope it's not so far away. Thanks for a great read.
Once again, the plotting is really good. The characters are very interesting and the complicated problems that Annis keeps running into are very interesting. When you're in the edge regions of space, laws don't work the same. There's a lot more corruption. There are moral questions about what to do when the law doesn't work. All in all, a really fun series; I will definitely read the next book.
Stories awesome collaborative proofreading, and editorial work is greatly improving
And enjoyable read, as always, the grammar and spelling errors are getting less and less there are still some minor issues, but you’ve obviously found a good proofreader. Any chance of them going through the first books and cleaning them up so that they also are of a higher
I have really enjoyed this series. Book 3 was easy to pick up and dive right back in with Annis and friends. Fun adventures interesting locals and characters. I have to admit I don't quite follow how the gene therapy works but its fascinating to see how the author is world and lore building. I really am looking forward to the next book!!!
Author Michael Gnizak's "Starlight Corporation" was na entertaining read. His melding of technology and magic gives us unique characters and a good story filled with action and drama. I'm looking forward to continuing the Annis Del Pounce series.
The book is an interesting take on magic, technology, and the effects of modifying human development. The series as a whole, is a very slow burn. My only gripe is that there was no recap at the start...kind of helps when there is a gap between volumes.
I really liked this series of stories. I read the first one and didn't stop until I finished the third one. I'm looking forward to the next book and am going to look into some of your other stories. Great job.
I don't see how the author can keep all the characters straight and all the corporate suspense going. But at least there isn't a lot of blood and guts \ death and destruction. All the corporate suspense and lawyerly goings on make wonder what his real background is.
Outstanding story, well told. I’m glad her anti-aging drugs are finally wearing off, love the slow burn romance, and enjoy all the action tremendously! Looking forward to the next in the series!
Great story and character's also I find the setting and future you've built with the corporation to be pretty much on point as it is what we're living through this day and age 👍
So, Annis & crew were interesting and a series I practically devoured!!! I read a lot and this series and this author are in my TOP 10 . Looking forward to the next series.
I really loved the characters. For some reason I was able to remember who was who. Sometimes I get mixed up with the names. This went a long way helping me to enjoy this great book.
Annais is hitting puberty which her anti-aging treatment delayed. Hormones cause her to have intense mood changes. Though she gets control of a patent belt by a men embezzling from her she faces attacks from her competitors who he was helping.
A very enjoyable book to read hopefully there'll be Morris can be more coming out soon I really enjoyed the story lines and the personalities I recommend these books David schlosser
Imaginitive and well thought out. There are some minor issues with editing, but the story is well worth your time. I'm looking forward to about a hundred more books!
I loved this book. It was well written and has a great story. I love how the side stories play into the overall picture. I can’t wait for the next book.
