While she recovers, Arax meets the mercurial Konstantine. Cold and harsh, he wants nothing to do with her, but she is drawn to him. Who is this man? What is this place? And why, of all things, does she feel most at peace by his touch?

An alpha meant to rule since birth, Konstantine has had a life filled with political turmoil, betrayal, and loss. To deny himself almost everything for the sake of duty means survival, including keeping the one destined for him from being dragged into the uncertainty of his world.

I’m really sorry but this book was not for me . I hated the miscommunication that was basically the plot of this book . I didn’t like the MMC . The FMC was lovely but she shouldn’t have give him her time. I also didn’t like their relationship ; they had no chemistry. Drake was my favorite in this book; he was so funny and sweet and tbh I think he had better chemistry with her atleast he put some effort into getting to know her and talk to her unlike her mate who avoided her like a plague because of his imposter syndrome or something. Ngl His words at the end was moving but hey where were you from the beginning.

Thank you to LoveNotesPR for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not one to post bad reviews especially with an ARC, but I unfortunately did not care as much as I thought I would...
I have three "problems" with this book that made it not for me: the miscommunication and I'm not one to hate on this trope, I actually love it most of the times, but with A Fate Drawn to Flame I also didn't like the MMC so I just couldn't feel for the romance. Also, the characters didn't really develop in such a big book, and yes I know that this is the point of a series, I just wanted a little more from them.
The writing was done well and the pacing was actually very good. Will definitely try to read the rest of the series!!!

This book was such a fun and vibey read, full of banter, found family, and just the right amount of chaos. Think Twilight… but if it were fully Team Jacob and everyone had better comebacks.

Our FMC, Arax, is such a vibe. Fierce, loyal, and ready to throw hands for the people she loves even while wrestling with her own demons and grief. She’s fiery, feisty, and absolutely impossible not to root for.

Then we’ve got Drake, the golden retriever of men, sunshine energy, charm for days, and a rampaging savage when it’s time to fight. And Stan? Broody Greek god aesthetic with a heart that melts only for her. The contrast between them? Chef’s kiss. 👌

Sure, you might spot the ending from a mile away, but it doesn’t matter as the ride is too much fun. Between the snarky banter, the found family warmth, and the swoon-worthy dynamics, A Fate Drawn to Flame absolutely delivers the cozy, flirty fantasy energy we live for.

The beginning was a bit challenging to get through, but the story gradually drew me in and I found myself throughly enjoying it. This plot line really bought back those fond memories of all the human x werewolves wattpad stories I devoured.
The chemistry between Konstantine and Arax was so natural and electrifying even though they had a lot of miscommunications which i honestly didn't like. But I loved how the story continued till the end with the suspense of Arax not knowing they were werewolves and a totally different kind. Arax character was fascinating, she was strong, witty and her sharp tongue added to her charm. I loved the banter she shared with the others. Not to mention, the friendship and the found family vibes between Penelope, Vallon and Arax.
The book ended with a much satisfying cliffhanger and I honestly can't wait to read the next book and to see how Arax navigates her new life in the pack and beside her mate.

Thank you so much author for the ARC.

Holy crap, what was that ending?! I turned the last page thinking there had to be more, but nope. It gave me the same “wait, that’s it?!” feeling as the end of Onyx Storm.

I’m such a sucker for shifter stories, and this one had me hooked from page one. Arax is strong, resilient, and just so easy to root for. I absolutely adore her. Konstantine, on the other hand, is your classic grumpy alphahole intense, brooding, and definitely made some choices I did not agree with. But I’m holding out hope he’ll atone for them in the next book.

The world building was pretty solid, but there were definitely moments (especially in those last hundred or so pages) where I was like, “What the hell is going on?” Still, I couldn’t put it down. It’s chaotic, emotional, and impossible not to get swept up in.

Now I just need book two. Immediately!!!!

Thank you to Love Notes PR and the author for the advanced reader copy of this paranormal romance.

Honestly this was nothing like what I was expecting, but I'm not upset about it. While the pacing is slow in the first 70%, the last 30% more than makes up for it.

This has one of my least favorite tropes, the dreaded miscommunication. Even though it was drug out for the entirety of the book, it wasn't annoying or even frustrating.

The writing wasn't the best, but the story was compelling, the found family was great, and it has good comic relief throughout. Overall this was a good time and that ending.... well I gotta continue the series now!

Thanks so much Skylark Melody and Love Notes PR for the book. I was given this book as an advance review copy (ARC) for free, and I am leaving this review completely voluntarily.

A Fate Drawn to Flame is Skylark Melody’s debut novel, and for a first release, it shows promise. I haven’t dipped into a paranormal romance in a while, so I was honestly excited to start this one.

The setup has all the right ingredients: a fated-mates romance, wolf-shifter lore, and a heroine running from her past. It’s got a nice slow-burn tension between Araxia (our FMC) and Konstantine (the broody alpha MMC). Early on, though, I was getting dangerously attached to Drake, Konstantine’s best friend. He’s flirty, funny, caring, and basically the kind of guy who steals every scene he’s in. Honestly, if Stan (Konstantine) hadn’t been her mate, I would’ve been happy with Drake and Arax together. It also took way too long, in my opinion, for Drake to find out about the whole “mate” situation, so be ready for some drawn-out tension there.
Someone described this book to me as “dark fantasy,” but as a self-proclaimed dark-romance addict, I didn’t find it dark at all, so take that label with a grain of salt. It’s more “moody fantasy romance” than anything truly dark or grim.

Now, since this is a debut, it comes with some of the usual first-book quirks. The pacing can be uneven; a few scenes drag while others feel rushed. The world-building and werewolf lore could use a bit more depth. There are hints of something bigger, but it’s not fully explained yet. As for tracking spice levels, this is on the lighter side compared to other werewolf romances I’ve read this year. I’d give it 3 🌶 chili peppers, and that’s rounding up generously.

All in all, A Fate Drawn to Flame wasn’t the best book I’ve read this year, but it was a solid, enjoyable start for a new author. The potential is definitely there, and I’ll probably check out the sequel just to see where Arax, Stan, and Drake (please let him get a book!) end up.

Happy reading friends,
~ Maebae 💚

A Fate Drawn To Flame 🐺

Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Skylark Melody for giving me THE opportunity for this ARC!

Usually, when I read a book that is that good,I am unable to write anything down,so my thoughts maybe all over the place this time.🧡
To start with, this is my first time reading an ARC in this specific genre, meaning with more fantasy than romance +all the microtropes,& I can say I did not just enjoyed my life out of it,the heart in my body could not stop going so fast!-actually,it is still going in the same range :)

One of my favourite aspects of the story is that Greece was involved. The main character had a full-let me repeat-A FULL Greek name & my excitment could not stop everytime, just a tiny bit of my country was in the story.I loved it so much & I am so blessed that it was chosen for this beautiful piece of work!Πραγματικά το λάτρεψα 🧡
Continuing,I really, really loved ALL the characters, with my favourite being Eleni,Konstantinos's(the mmc) little niece. She just gave that fresh air in the story & every time she was on page,my mood changed to the better-she is so,so cute 🥹.
As for the main two, they were pure perfection.Arax, was just a honest character with her to have gone through so much.Since we see about a year and a half from her life,we can see how she deals with her trauma & how true emotions towards people are formed.I loved that part, not only for romantic reasons, but mostly because you can see true friendships being formed.
Our man,the alpha,is the classic mate,I need to protect her guy & I ADORE THAT.More, his strength was pointed out,and that he was a TRUE leader, always thinking about the pack before him.
Now,about the fantasy part, and most specifically for the huge action scene that came towards the end,had my on the edge of my seat & locked in the story 100%.Literally my eyes could not stop looking at the screen. My mind could not comprehead the info & everything that was happening from the shock!-That is what you take with a GOOD fantasy!
I want to discuss SO MUCH about the ending, but since we are keeping it spoiler free here, you will find me in my corner crying 🥹.
out on Oct,30th💫

⭐️ 5 STARS

A Fate Drawn to Flame by Skylark Melody completely captivated me from beginning to end. The worldbuilding is lush and immersive, and the emotional depth of the story just hits.

Arax, she’s one of those rare protagonists who feels real, fierce, flawed, powerful, and achingly human all at once. From her very first scene, her heartbreak and pain was really going inside her. She’s strong, yes, but not in the flat, untouchable way fantasy heroines sometimes are. Her connection with Konstantine… wow. Their slow burn is everything a slow burn should be drawn-out, charged, full of longing and unspoken understanding.

Konstantine, he’s not the loud or showy kind of Alpha, he’s the one who watches, listens, and protects even when it costs him. The fact that he’s a werewolf and Arax' is his mate, and she doesn’t know. That quiet, aching conflict threaded through every scene between them. You feel the tension of him holding it in, wanting to tell her but knowing what it could cost. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful all at once, a love story built on restraint, longing, and impossible choices.

One thing I absolutely loved was how their wolf selves weren’t just extensions of who they are, they were different animals entirely, with their own personalities and instincts. That layer of depth made it a fascinating contrast between their human emotions and their wilder, instinctive sides, and I adored how the author explored that duality without ever making it confusing or cliché.

And let me just say, a lot of reviewers said it was a miscommunication trope? Honestly, it was so refreshing to watch two characters actually talk, Arax talking what's bothering her and for Konstantine to take accountability, and apologize. Was certain information with held? Yes, but Arax knew this pack wasn't your normal "cult". Their relationship felt mature and grounded, built on real connection instead of contrived drama.

Thank you Love Notes PR and Skylark Melody for the gifted eARC of this book. These are my honest opinions.

This was a bit of a slow starter for me with its Contemporary Romance vibes. Around chapter 7, I became fully engaged with this book. I loved Arax. Her being a business woman in a music career was such a different idea that I enjoyed seeing play out within the storyline. I really loved that this book did not take place in or have a location similar to Scotland or England like so many fantasy book do. It really stood out and made this book unique.

Arax would hike the mountains to remember her past and lost family members and she rolled off a mountain into wolf territory. She meets her fated mate under dire circumstances and as she heals from her injuries she forms a found family. Arax struggles to balance her life in the human world with the life of the wolves throughout the book, resulting in a delicious inner turmoil and tension with her mate. The wolves face a mysterious threat and the ending, while predictable was great! I need the next book now. This is the type of book where you keep turning the pages looking for more because the ending leaves you wanting so much.

The humor is well done in this book and I really enjoyed the characters. This is a very easy to read book with dark romance themes that are not explored too deeply. It is a light Dark Romance, if that makes sense. This book will leave you with questions! If you want all the answers and don’t have the patience a series requires, don’t pick this one up because the emotional turmoil at the end is brutal.

Tropes:
Found Family
Fated Mates
Human and Werewolf
She Falls First
Mysterious threats

Starting off with thanking the author and Love Notes PR for the ARC.

Okay I have a lot to say about this one, but let’s start with this: This book was a good time 4⭐️, not a literary masterpiece 4⭐️ lol

So in the first like 20-25% of the book I was convinced I was not going to like it because I had already felt a little bored with the FMC and her life. Buttttt once it picked up it picked up for me lol. There was minimal world building in this one as I feel like it didn’t necessarily need it, but also i couldn’t tell you what the exact plot was of this book lol. This definitely was a fantasy romance as I feel like the romance was the main point of this book for like 75% of it

Now with that being said I really did enjoy the characters. I have seen a lot of reviews of people saying they did not like the MMC due to the terrible miscommunication and just not like his character. I however disagree with those sentiments and loved the way this man was yearning. I think there may be a lot we don’t know yet about his history and past why he made the decisions he did. I am interested to see what we learn in future books. As for our FMC I thought she was a good character and I think she was just doing the best she could lol. I thought they had good chemistry, and I am worried about how things are going to go with them after that ending 👀also loved the side character Drake and want to know if we are about to have a why choose or love triangle situation lol

Now with this being an ARC I understand it has not gone through final edits, however, there was a crazy amount of typos that it was hard to look past at some points. It made it feel like there was not much editing done even for the ARC’s.

Overall I did enjoy this read and will be reading the next one for sure!

“Powerless, I let the fated bond weave its web around Arax and me.” - from this moment on we knew big bad wolf was hers

Whether it’s drake and his easement , playfulness and a flirty best friend that every girl wishes to have. Or Konstantinos with his prowling , growling and smooth af words that has ya panties falling. Or even Arax, the woman you wished was both your best friend and you want to be her, unapologetically herself. ( reminds me of the author)

Now to the writing, this book explored some of my favourite tropes : found family, fated mates and a slow burn romance. It was all put together with a complex sentence structure that was almost lyrical. Melody makes you feel the emotion with her way with words, whether it was chapter 2 that I was blubbering over or further along when things got intense and steamy.

I loved the complexity in which Konstantinos was written, the constant battle of knowing what they are, what he is and how much he should tell Arax, being told ya man’s a werewolf I can’t imagine goes down too well all the time aha , so where I understand it may be looked at as miscommunication it wasn’t, you could see it was tearing our mmc apart on what to do.

Arax went through so much in this book and I cannot wait LITERALLY cannot wait to see how her character develops in the next book. I hope it’s on a beach somewhere to relax

Drake … Arax is taken but I’m not how ya doing?

This book for a first book in the series sets us up nicely for whatever is in store for us in book 2 I have a few ideas but for now YOU ALL NEED TO BUY THIS BOOK .

A werewolf book that puts a spin on something traditional.

ARC REVIEW

Pushing through a slow start, this book really takes off in the second half. The contemporary romance vibe at the beginning that slowly morphed into a shifter romance by the end. This world unfolds with mystery surrounding her twin brother's disappearance, her late father's sudden passing, and her mother's sudden stroke. The FMC, Arax, is a strong willed individual leading a music school for talented students. She definitely voices her opinions to those needed and rarely asks for help. The pacing from the beginning to the point where she goes into the mountains and comes back, should have been a bit faster and tighten up on the words. I felt a bit lost during all that since there was a lot of time that had gone by and also not enough depth to bring anything to the plot. The MMC, Konstantine, is your typical grumpy alpha dealing with political issues surrounding the pack. Arax's time with the pack is interesting and she meets other pack members that add humor to the story. While Konstantine and Arax are fated mates, they try not to get pulled into each other, but eventually by the end, they do. By the end, the drama and action gets a bit muddy trying to follow along because so much is happening. In the end, we are left with a cliffhanger that really does make you want to read the next book. I really liked the plot/story of this book, but the presentation needs to be cleaned up/edits for the story to flow better. Overall, really liked all the characters and the way the plot is heading.

I'm gonna be sitting with this one for a while. Phew what an ending! The latter 1-80% of the book was a tense but somewhat chill sort of Twilight but better vibe (having never read Twilight I wouldn't actually know much but I have seen parts of the movie and it felt reminiscent in a way that I didn't hate like I did Twilight), and the last 20% was action packed, and filled to the brim with crazy good fight scenes and gore, twists and turns some of which I saw coming, some of which I didn't. There was really only one thing I disliked about the book, but I'm not going to lie, everything else had captured my attention so well that I forgot what it was. The characters have a lot of growing to do, which isn't bad, but I'm excited to see what'll happen with them in later books. I'm absolutely in love with Skylark's descriptions, though, and she does a really great job at setting the tone and atmosphere of things. I do wish I would've seen a little more of Danny, though, and I liked Cyrus more than I thought I would, which is to say not at all, and I loved drake more than I thought I would, which is to say quite a lot. I'm also sort of in love with Konstantine, the poor tortured soul that he is. I'm sure others will have something to say about his broodiness or "communication issues", but if you were a dude who was also a wolf secluded from society and some random woman shows up and she's not only a human but your fated mate, would *you* be spilling the beans to her immediately? I don't think so lol. Anyways, come at my if you have anything bad to say about this, I'll fight you 😁

Big thanks to LoveNotesPR and Skylark of course for the ARC!

A Fate Drawn to Flame by Skylark Melody

Thank you @skylark.melody.author for this early copy of this electric read! I must say I had no idea what to expect, but it hit gold in my heart. Miscommunication tropes usually drive me wild, but throw in wolves, mates, found family, banter for days, and a scream worthy cliffhanger and I’m in! So right up my alley!

Review Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Fate Drawn to Flame by Skylar Melody

I don't know where to start it is honestly such a fantastic book, it has to be my FAVOURITE shifter book I have read it has everything you could ever need in a fantasy. You have the banter, the grumpy MMC oh and grumpy FMC! You have the found family, fated mates, ultimate BFFs, danger, laughter and my goodness some tears!

Gosh this book hits you with the hard stuff right from the start. But I think that is exactly what pulls you in. And that magnetic pull continues throughout!

The book is so beautifully written you are fully immersed in the world and feeling every emotion along with the characters including having heart palpitations at the action!

I adored all the characters Arax, Konstantina (aka Fabio 🤣😅), Cy, Pen, Val and Jason, oh and little Eleni! Drake though I hope we get more of him! I don't want to spill more as there is some amazing twists and turns which I don't want to spoil!

That ending though @skylark.melody.author you have some answering - talk about rip my heart ❤️ out, stamp on it and the set it on fire 🔥
Please say you've at least started book 2 because I need it 😅🤣

Thank you @lovenotespr for the Arc copy for an honest review.

This started off pretty strong for me. I liked Arax at the beginning and the mystery around her mum had me really curious to see where the story was going. The pacing was solid too, so I never felt bored or stuck.

Where it lost me a little was how quickly it slipped into very familiar werewolf-romance territory. The mate bond between Arax and Konstantine kicks in without much emotional build, and I personally didn’t feel their connection. I don’t mind an instant spark at all, but I still need some kind of tension, banter, or genuine interaction to make me root for a couple. As things went on, Arax also ended up feeling more tropey than I hoped, which pulled me out of the story a bit.

Some moments felt a little predictable too, which took away from that early intrigue I had around Arax’s background and her mum. I just wanted a bit more freshness or something to make it stand out from other fated-mates stories.

That said, there were elements I enjoyed, especially at the start, and I think readers who love a classic werewolf fated-mates romance and don’t mind familiar tropes might have a lot of fun with this. I’m not ruling out continuing the series, but I’m not in a rush for the next one either.

That ending, with everything hanging in the balance and futures uncertain and a decision they cannot come back from, I cannot wait to see the reaction and fallout from this choice in future books! I love spending the fall diving into more werewolf and that vibe of books, I don’t know what it is, but this time of year just brings out the supernatural in me. This book had all the pack vibes while being told from both the pack alpha and the human girl he is drawn to but has no idea about this world. I love a dual POV and getting to see inside both of their heads throughout the book and how they are processing this draw between them. I also really enjoyed several of the side characters, especially the meddling sister trying to help them get together. I cannot wait to see where this series goes and the development of their relationship now that Arax knows about the wolves and how this threat to their pack continues to escape them. Overall the storyline had me hooked and I kept jumping to the next page, especially at the end, to see what would happen. My rating 4.4/5!

Thanks to the author and Love notes PR for the gifted eARC, all opinions given are my own!

A Fate Drawn to Flame presents an intricate world brimming with magic, political intrigue, and destiny-driven characters. The story slowly unfolds, weaving a tapestry of mystery and power that fans of epic fantasy might appreciate. However, the pacing felt a bit sluggish at times, making it harder to stay fully engaged throughout the read. The characters, while intriguing in concept, felt somewhat one-dimensional and lacked the emotional depth I was hoping for. Their development didn’t quite resonate, leaving the dynamics feeling flat rather than rich or complex. The prose is steady but didn’t sparkle strongly enough to elevate the story’s flow. That said, the unique mix of fated destinies, magical realms, and complex politics imbues the novel with potential. I suspect that readers who relish detailed worldbuilding and layered plots may find this series rewarding as it progresses.Overall, this book delivers a solid foundation but could benefit from tighter pacing and deeper character exploration. A fair three stars for a story with promise that might shine brighter in later installments.

Thank you Love Notes and Skylark Melody for the chance to review this ARC.

I want to start off by saying i was super excited about this opportunity because i am 100% obsessed with the fated mates trope. This book pulls you in from the start but i want to say that the relationship between Konstantine and Arax was very frustrating. I felt like Konstantine spends 80% of the book avoiding her to the point where i thought his best friend was her mate because she seemed to have more chemistry with him and he put WAY more effort .Arax needs to step up her game... hopefully she finds her way back to herself in the next one.
The world building was a little over the top, i understand its necessary so the author can paint a picture but it sorta took away from the story/characters.

This book has very Twilight meets Vampire Diaries vibes.. and that CLIFFHANGER AT the end? ugh.. cant wait to see what happens in book 2.

PS Drake DEFINITELY deserves his own spin off.

Fairytales may tell us love conquers all, but A Fate Drawn to Flame shows us the truth — love can burn, heal, and remake you entirely.

Araxia and Konstantine’s story swept me away from the very first page. Arax, searching for peace after loss, and Konstantine, the brooding alpha who guards his heart as fiercely as his pack: their connection is magnetic. Every moment between them hums with tension and longing, and the world around them feels ancient and alive, like something waiting to awaken.

What I loved most was how Skylark Melody balances it all — the banter that makes you grin, the heartbreak that squeezes your chest, the spice that makes your heart race, and the sweeping fantasy elements that root it all in something epic and timeless! It was an amazing read for sure.

It’s not just a story of fated mates: it’s about two souls remembering who they are through each other. Emotional, fierce, and full of beautifully written moments that stay with you long after the last page.

If you love your fantasy laced with emotion, fire, and a love story written in the stars: you need this book!!

Thank you to the lovely author Skylark Melody and Love Notes PR for this ARC 💌🫶🏼

It hurts when a story that generates my interest then falls flat.

This one definitely has a ton of potential, and I can see where the story could become something really special. The world-building and setup hinted at a larger plot and deeper connections, and I was excited to see where it might go. But as far as the first book goes, I found myself wanting more.

Even though it seemed like a lot was happening on the surface, I finished the book feeling like not much actually moved the story forward. There are so many mysteries and loose ends that just never got fleshed out, which left me a little frustrated. The characters and story pieces felt a bit underdeveloped, and I really wanted more depth in both the plot and the relationships.

All in all, I’m still intrigued enough to check out the next book. I’m hoping book two brings more answers and really lets the story shine. I’m curious to see how everything comes together and whether the potential I see in this series truly gets realized.

⏳ Cliffhanger That Leaves You Begging for Book 2

From the first page, A Fate Drawn to Flame pulls you into a world gilded with grief and desire.

Araxia Arevin’s journey is both tragic and transcendent — a heroine scarred by loss yet unyielding in spirit.

And then there’s Konstantine: an alpha torn between duty and desire, power and penance. Their chemistry and slow burn tension were chef's kiss.

A fiery debut that delivers equal parts, heartache, and hope. I am desperate for book 2!

If you love your fantasy romance with bite, slow burn tension, banter, and a devastating cliffhanger — this one’s for you.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I will admit that I had this book figured wrong. I had thought it was a fantasy romance, and while it does have elements of fantasy, it would probably be better to talk about it as a Paranormal romance.
The world was basic and contemporary, so it was easy to understand. The characters seemed basic as well, but did have shimmers of personality peeking through.
Our FMC goes through a lot of loss and grief, and it is interesting and understandable to see how she responds to her tragedies. I felt that was done well.
The plot seemed at first a little basic, but it had a little mystery until I hit about 60% through the book. Things began to pop off in big ways. There was tension, rivalries, kept secrets, and danger, followed by survival tactics and emotion that had been sitting my butt in a chair for at least an hour just to get through turning the pages.
I will definitely be continuing this series to see what happens. If you like wolf shifters, hidden worlds, and fated mates, then this book is for you.

Thank you to Lovenotes PR for this early copy of this book.
This was a book of 2 halves for me, the first half was a bit unbelievable, I didn’t understand how she thought she was taken in by a cult and told not to tell anyone and she thought that was ok? I didn’t understand the alphas reasoning to stay away from her. There was a lot of talk about a council but many unanswered questions. It all seemed a bit far fetched (yes I know it’s a fantasy but it still needs to make sense).

However this was all forgotten and overshadowed by the epic banter, the fmc who doesn’t know when to shut up, the family dynamics and the unbelievable action, the second half of the book was gripping and then by the last third of the book I was completely engrossed and completely emerged in the story.

Was it a bit predictable, yes a bit, did I care, not even a little bit. It was wild ride, it gave me buffy vibes and twilight flashbacks, I loved it, I just wish the fmc had come across a little bit more concerned for her own safety, her naivety annoyed me.

I can’t wait for the next book.
