Very quick listen. Not quite what I was expecting. I hoped it would be Christmassy, but was more of a steamy romance. I might have enjoyed it more had I read any of the other books in the series.
I borrowed this in audiobook format through Amazon Kindle Unlimited.
This book was a bit meh and a little boring for me. It was just a steamy romance with not much substance which I found a little boring. I felt committed to finish it once I started and hoped it would pick up but it just wasn’t the book for me.
This was my first read of this authors though and I had no prior knowledge or connection to the characters. The narrator was good though so it was easy reading which was a redeeming quality but I didn’t overly enjoy this one. But it was a quick read.
As I hadn’t read these before, I found it hard to keep up with the characters and who was who. I can imagine this short book is a great catch up with characters that people have grown attached to and get to check in with their lives and what they’re up to. Intriguing ending though!
This is a very short novella about the dynamics between the various members of this family. It's every day stuff, and utterly boring. Or maybe, normal contemporary romance isn't for me any more. The narration was outstanding. Jessica Almasy narration is perfection as always.
3.5 Super quick and a little confusing since I started with this book but I'm interested in learning more about everyone. A bit steamy, looking forward to see how the others are.
Lovely to hear about shenanigans, how all their lives are moving along.
Mackenzie and Hunter's weekend away s special.
Hailey and Mason, awe their wedding sounds like its going to be a beautiful affair.
Chloe and Jackson, re-connecting ! Maybe things are going to happen for them?
Cooper and Jay-Lynn, He continues to wrap her in cotton wool, but they both need a bit more time. I hope Jay and Hunter sort out their differences, sounds like they are going to need each other. I also hope Cooper does the right thing by Jay-Lynn.
We even got the Cahill parents story, this was so sweet, They really are the best parents to have on your side.
I have loved this series and cannot wait for the next installment, great to get this sweet novella to tide us over!
This is a sweet short story with a chapter of each character rekindling tender moments of each couple and with Andrew and Elle Cahill’s own story. I did need a Kleenex a time or two with the really sweet moments.
If you haven’t read this series, you really should. The stories are sweet with just enough angst and love and some drama all mixed together to form some loving new families that all started with Andrew and Elle Cahill.
But I will tell you this, if I ever meet Megan Smith in real life, I might have to strangle her for always leaving cliff hangers with each book!
I loved reading about all the couple's and what they have been up too. With the families coming together for Christmas there is something going on with Jaylinn and Hunter and Sadie that I'm dying to find out. I liked hearing Elle & Andrew's story and can't wait to read what happens next

My Review: I downloaded this on a whim using Audible's new Romance package. I didn't realize that it was part of the series until I started listening. It was a quick glance into the relationships, that have been building throughout the series, over the holiday season. Even though I didn't really get a chance to get to know each of the characters and all their backstories, it didn't really take away from the enjoyment of the book. I definitely found some connection with each of the couples as they were dealing with jobs, family and the stress of the holidays. I am interested enough to go back and start at the beginning of the series.

There is so much heart ache coming and that was evident with this novella, getting a glimpse of Elle and Andrew was special because you can see how they set the tone for the kids and their love. I’m scared for Sadie though and my body is already preparing for the gut wrenching crying that is sure to come! I feel in love with this series and can’t believe I found this hidden gem!
A beautiful, steamy quick read. In this little novella we visit with each character for a little catch up with their lives. I made the mistake of reading this after Made to Love You when it was intended to be read before that one. Even so it was a fantastic short, full of steam novella.
Confusing And Cliffhanger I know most Christmas stories are short and sometimes are part of a series but I felt lost through most of this one. There are references to things that have happened in the past but not enough to clue the reader in. Then it leaves you completely hanging in the end. Not what I want in a holiday read. The narrator does a good job with all the different voices.
It was great to catch up with everyone, but I feel there is some sadness heading our way with Sadie (Hunter and Jaylin’s mum 😢) I also enjoyed the POV from Andrew and Elle Cahill - we haven’t heard from the before. Eager to see Mason and Hails wedding. Off to download book 6, 🥳
Not to sound harsh but this seemed like an excuse for more sex scenes, I skimmed through most of it. We didn't learn anything except for in Andrew, Elle, and Sadie's chapters. Even that wasn't really needed. It was mostly back story on how Andrew and Elle met.
Each chapter is a new POV I realized as I was listening its part of a series so there were characters mentions that I would assume have their own books, and it would make more sense then. I thought it was going to be more christmassy. Still liked it.
Just a little insight into what happens at christmas with this amazing family. You also get the amazing story of Elle and her amazing husband. I enjoyed this short novel.
Meh. This was okay. I get that it’s just a novella, but there were too many snippets of too many peoples stories, and it didn’t have a cohesive story of its own.
A short but sweet story. I really enjoyed getting to hear from everyone during this book. It was fantastic to listen to how the Cahill parents began their relationship and to see how their family has grown.
A short sweet read that gives a little intro into the next book. The family is all together for Christmas, but maybe things aren't as perfect as they seem.............
