I accidentally got kidnapped by a much older Bratva guy. Now I’m forced to marry him. He’s been seething with rage and craves revenge for what’s been done to his family. He mistakenly kidnaps me, the wrong person, planning to use me as his pawn. And when he realizes I’m innocent, he forces me to marry him anyway.
He wants to wrap my little ball of sunshine in his cloak of darkness. He wants to drown my innocence in his blood-soaked Bratva world. But I’m finally letting my anger out, for being tied to him against my will. I’m finally realizing that it’s always the women in the family who pay the price.
I’m not going to be blackmailed by him. I’m not going to be used. And yet despite my intentions, he’s luring me into his ruthless, cold web. I’m caught in his arms, desperate for more of what only he can give me. I’m trapped in his bed, craving his ruthless grip on my sweet body.
Will my Bratva captor expose all of my weaknesses?
The Milov Bratva play only one kind of one that is full of blood, cruelty, and power. Only their brides come to see another side of them. A side where they will protect the ones they love and die for them if they have to. Until you can’t do anything but want them for life.
Veda Rose loves getting lost in the intense, dark and suspenseful universes she creates. Although her characters can often be complicated and twisty, at the core of it all is deep and profound love.
Born and raised in Portland, Veda Rose has always been an introvert who could often be found deeply engrossed in a book. Or multiple books. So it was only natural that at some point she would embark on her own journey as a writer to bring to life her wild imagination.
When she is not writing or thinking out her next tormented love fantasy, she enjoys hiking and exploring unfamiliar places with her furry companions.
The 14th book in the Milov Bratva series continues, focusing on Marlen Popov and Stefania Shevchenko, sister of Jaroslav. Stefania is another sheltered, smothered and spoiled Bratva princess, although she has the best sweet personality of all the Bratva princesses in the series. Marlen Popov is the head of his Bratva family and has been very hot headed and antagonistic in the prior few books. He was especially brutal in book 11 when his sister Talia decided to stay with Timofy Abashin against his orders. At the end of book 13, he threatened both families after his brother Bardil lied to him and he took his side against them. This book starts with Bardil again screwing up by kidnapping Stefania instead of Marlen's target, Nikita Abashin. Marlen keeps her anyway and marries her. The story is interesting as Bardil continues to lie to Marlen and Stef tries to prove him a liar while falling for Marlen. The author commits another grievous plot error repeatedly in the last 50 pages. Marlen's sister Talia married Timofey Abashin in book 11. Diomid Abashin married Angelika Shevchenko in book 13. Yet the author repeatedly states that Talia and Diomid are together, with the pool party at "their" house. Why can't she keep her characters straight? My rating was lowered accordingly.
This started well, but I couldn't accept how the main characters acted. The MMC was unreasonable the way he blamed the MFC for what he told her about what her family did. The FMC character kept forgiving him for things he did and said to her. When she had a chance to get away from him and let her family know she was okay , she didn't.
The book started out well and I will say that the editing and writing were pretty good but it was just so boring. The dialogue was bland and kind of silly for a mafia Romance. There was very little spice but least there wasn't any torture and abuse.
