The story tells a tale of past mistakes that are proven to be caused by lies. Sometimes, a deathbed confession can change absolutely everything! This is a good story with some repetitious explanations that started to annoy me, but the story itself is great despite ending too quickly. I was left wondering if the relationship was going to work out or not. Wish it was longer.
I really enjoyed this story about relationships and what happens when communication is not clear Ayla and Malone and Miguel are all caught up in a world that is upside down. When Ayla has become engaged to a man who is going and good to her but she doesn't feel like she felt when she was young and got her heart broken by her first love Miguel. Her best friend lied to her about her relationship with Miguel when she was 17 and in love and so she left town believing the man she was in love with betrayed her with her BFF Kara. She and her fiance come home, thinking her father is sick and finds out that the truth she thought she knew was not the truth after all I liked this book because it was about relationships and it was filled with a lot of sexual scenarios. I enjoyed it just because it was about honesty, friendship and what happens when it is broken. It was a good reading book 📚📖 in the series The Heart Remembers.
Don’t bother… I kept waiting for the book to get better. It never got better and it ended even worse. Ayla is selfish & pathetic as she strings along her fiancé, Malone, who in her own words is a great guy. Sure she gets some unexpected news about her old love, Miguel, but rather than acting like an adult and coming clean to Malone, she shits on him and treats him like garbage. And then has the audacity to ride off into the sunset from the hospital lobby 30 minutes after Miguel’s wife, her former BFF from childhood, dies of cancer.
Great premise, bad execution. Who edited this book? Two stars for the underlying story, that was a doozy, but the delivery needs work. Whole paragraphs repeated, messy timeline, weird wrap up. Again, absolutely great premise. Could be developed into a fantastic story if you find a different editor, and try again.
Another short romance story I loved. This was as good as the 1st book. Jealousy and lies ended a beautiful relationship. However love conquered in the end. The person I felt for the most was Malone. He clearly loved Ayala but she didn't love him like she should.
The FMC, Ayla she is selfish, has no sense of responsibility, she is a coward and what’s even more interesting she doesn’t even know. She thinks life itself and love mostly are only milk and honey. Once something difficult arise she packs her bags and run , no questions asked . She thinks she is the only one in love with all her heart and doesn’t even border to ask the love of her life why is he lying or cheating on her. I feel sorry for the MC, she doesn’t deserve him or her fiancé Malone. She left Miguel without saying a word and she left Malone without saying a word. Wow
