Amelia's March Arrangement the third installment of An Amish Romance Birthday Series by Mindy Steele is a must-read story.
Amelia's March Arrangement was such a fast paced, wonderful and emotional story while at the same time a faith-based, uplifting story about loss, love, creating a new family and coming home.
The entire story is filled with relatable and true to life characters, that you will truly lose your heart to and fall in love with each one of their sweet and tender personalities.
I highly recommend reading. Allow me to leave the quote from the book that really stuck with me. "Fear is natural. But trust--trust is what builds a family"
I received a complimentary copy of this book, but was not required to leave a review.
Amelia's March Arrangement continues Mindy Steele's excellence in storytelling. Amelia and Owen step off the page and make readers care about them. As usual, Ms. Steele had me laughing at the antics of Amelia's oldest nephew on one page, then weeping at the loss of her sister and brother-in-law in a buggy vs. truck accident on the next.
Amelia Delagrange is 18 and has just completed a stint as a teacher's helper in their Amish school. She has already decided that's not for her, but since she doesn't have a beau she needs to do something. Her sister is expecting baby #4, so while she and her husband go to a prenatal visit, Amelia watches her three nephews. When her oldest nephew, David - the one who is always in mischief - runs in, she does NOT expect to find a sheriff and the bishop as the reason for his wide eyes. Losing her sister was one thing, but knowing that the care of her 3 nephews and their herd of 200 feeder calves would land on her was almost more than Amelia thought she could handle. As she steps into the mother role for three grieving little boys, can she hold off those who believe the boys need two parents, including their bishop? When the church elders give her two weeks to decide and the only man offering is almost as old as her father, will Amelia submit, or is there another way?
Owen Miller left his community at 16, fleeing his alcoholic father's certainty that he would eventually succumb to the same. He's found a job and community where he feels respected and needed, but when his brother dies he returns "home" to meet his nephews, and to see if they need help. Seeing all the work that Amelia is trying to keep up with, Owen steps up, staying longer than planned but his job will soon call him back to Shipshewana. When he learns of the church elders' demand that Amelia marry or lose the boys and the farm, can he find the courage to step into shoes he was never meant to fill for three little boys and a woman he's already starting to love?
Oh, my, I loved this book so much! I read it in less than a day, it was that good. I loved that I got to catch up with some "old friends" from some of Ms. Steele's earlier books, and that this had such a wide range of feelings, from giggles at the boys' antics, to grief, to uncertainty, to love.
Readers who love a good Amish romance should snap this one up! It had ALL the emotions and a very satisfying HEA. This gets all the stars from me. I'm allowed 5 but would give it double if I could.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but every opinion here is MINE.
“Could she be strong enough to hold on even if tomorrow Gott asked her to let go?” That’s just the question Amelia must navigate in this heartwarming story of a young maedel who must decide between responsibility and devotion or losing the very ones she holds dear. Mindy strikes again with this heartwarming story that explores Amelia and Owen’s inner conflicts as they are faced with the task of raising their nephews. While facing their grief, they must endeavor on a healing journey, and face the difficult task the bishop proposes. True love bears all things, which is just what this story shows! You won’t regret taking the leap into Amelia’s Arrangement.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review. All thoughts are my own.

As with all of Mindy Steele’s books this one didn’t disappoint. The Characters in this book are all wonderfully crafted, they make this book special in a way that will have you feeling as if your reading about friends and their life story. In this storyline loss takes a painful front seat into the lives of Amelia and Owen, as they navigate life after their shared loss. Blessings begin to shine through and life looks bright once again as they realize that loss doesn’t always mean dark days it can also mean smiling faces, laughing nights and faith filled days. This story is not just heartwarming it’s a gift in a way of looking at loss, love and faith. Has always Happy Reading
This book was absolutely amazing. I received a copy from the author for my honest review.
Amelia is a single Amish woman who helps her sister Mary with her three boys. Mary and her husband are killed suddenly in an accident, and so Amelia does what she thinks best and she takes the boys as her own. Owen comes to his brother's funeral and to also spend time with the boys before he returns home. He promises Amelia that he will send financial help and come visit often to spend time with their mutual nephews.
As much as she loves her nephews will she be the mom they need? Will she need to marry out of obligation to a man she does not love? Can Owen overcome his own fears of his father's addiction? Can he be the kind of father figure and uncle to these boys that he has grown to live?
This book was so good that I did not put it down. It was a wonderful heartwarming story full of hope and a happily ever after. ❤️
AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT by Mindy Steele is the magnificent story of Amelia Delagrange and Owen Miller. While related by their sibling’s marriage, they meet years later under difficult circumstances that have them contemplating the future of three adorable little boys. Are they both willing to make sacrifices to keep them together and in the only home they’ve ever known. Will determination and prayers be enough!
Amelia’s very young, but she’s loved her three nephews from the day they were born. While not their mother, now after the accident, she’s determined raise them, as her sister would have. With her parents in Florida because of her mother’s cancer treatments, it will mean doing it all on her own – the children, maintaining a home and tend to the calves they are raising, the only source of income they have. The church helps out best they could for a while. It’s not long before the bishop talks to them about Owen or Amelia being willing to marry to make a proper family for the boys or they may be adopted out. It would kill her for their Uncle Owen to take them away to Indiana, but thinking of an arranged marriage makes her ill.
While Owen missed his brother, he purposedly stayed away from bad memories of an alcoholic father. His father’s words about him ending up just like him caused him to never touched one drop alcohol and had him determined to remain single so as not to pass on of his genes. He’s content with his antique and auctioning businesses. Through letters, he knew he had three nephews. He’s only come back now to see that they will be taken care of prepared to assist financially if needed. He had no intentions of staying. And had no plans of get married to accommodate the bishops demands.
Will Amelia be forced into an arranged marriage? Can Owen arrange his businesses to where he can stay until spring to help out with chores on the farm? If he does, can he guard his heart from endearingly latching on to his nephews? Can Owen and Amelia enter into an arranged marriage for the sake of the boys? Dare Amelia dream what her heart already knows?
AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT is an awesome, heart-tugging story showing that even through disaster, love and family can still survive – even in the most unlikely of ways. Mindy Steele gives us an awe-inspiring story of determination, willingness to compromise, overcoming hardships, family, sweet growing romance and wraps it all in a wonderful thread of faith. AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT is positively FIVE-STAR reading and I highly recommend it to everyone!
AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT is the third book in the An Amish Romance Birthday Series. It, like all the books in the series, can be read as a standalone book.
I received a copy of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own. #AmeliasMarchArrangement #AnAmishRomanceBirthdaySeries #MindySteele #ChristianFiction
This is a beautiful, heart-tugging story of seeking God’s will for your life even through times of unexpected heartbreak and tragedy. The two main characters in this book, Amelia and Owen, are drawn together as they face some tough decisions as to how to care for their three orphaned nephews. Amelia’s love and unselfishness was an inspiration. I think Owen represented the struggles that we can all have when we are called to make life-changing decisions. Although this book does begin with sorrow, I found my heart was lifted up by the end of the book as I watched Amelia and Owen work together in their faithful walk with God. Although this is fiction, the message of seeing how God was working “all things together for good” in their lives is one that we can carry over to our own lives. This well-written book was a delight to read.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
I loved reading Amelia's March Arrangement It is a heartwarming, beautiful story. The characters are wonderful to read about. You will really enjoy this story It's about loss, strength, and faith. It's wonderfully written and has a good storyline. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. I am not required to leave a review. The comments and opinions expressed are strictly my own.
I’m always happy when I pick up a new book by Mindy Steele and discover that it’s set in either Cherry Grove or the nearby Miller Creek. Because that means the chances are high that we’ll run into some old friends in the process of meeting new ones. And that is delightfully true of Amelia’s March Arrangement. Getting to spend time with Simon and Dok is especially always a pleasure, so I did a little inner happy dance when we do in fact visit with them more than once in Steele’s latest. But the stars of this book are very much Amelia and Owen, two young adults whose lives are upended when their married siblings (Amelia’s sister and Owen’s brother) are killed in a tragic accident, leaving their 3 little boys orphans. The care of which now falls to Owen and Amelia. (You’ll need to read the story to find out why!)
I loved Amelia right away, her warm personality and big heart making her exactly what her nephews need as they grieve. And I appreciated the more raw moments that Steele includes too, where Amelia expresses her own grief over the loss of her sister. I wanted to hug her for more than one reason as I read this story, and I related to her aunt side as well as her emotions. I liked Owen too but he’s definitely more closed off at the start. I really grew to love him though as he gradually opens his heart to his nephews and, eventually, Amelia and – in the process, lets readers see all the different layers to his character. And oh how I adored the nostalgic treasure that Amelia finds to help her show Owen how loved he is – and always has been. That’s all I’m going to say about it… okay, except to add that I thought it was especially poignant given Owen’s love for old things and the healing journey his heart is on. The three boys are a combination of hilarious, endearing, and heartbreaking, and I thought Steele wrote them so well.
Bottom Line: Amelia’s March Arrangement by Mindy Steele is a tender, grace-filled story about life, loss, and love – and all the unexpected ways each of those can find us. I appreciated the way Steele doesn’t rush the healing, even though it’s not a very long book, but instead allows it to take root in Owen and Amelia separately before she lets it take root in them together. At the same time, the story isn’t a heavy one and we don’t stay mired in the grief – partly because life, out of necessity (and the practical Amish mindset), has to move on and partly thanks to the delightful moments of childhood joy that the boys bring. The farm needs tending, Owen’s businesses can’t be abandoned for long, and pressure is on (from the church leaders) for one of them to marry, but they also find time to laugh and play together as a family, and I loved that. The romance will almost always be my favorite part of any story, but actually I think watching these broken hearts be knit together with such authenticity is what I’ll remember the longest from Amelia’s March Arrangement.

Amelia's March Arrangement by Mindy Steele An Amish Romance Birthday Series
Book 3 of 12: Amish Romance Birthday One funeral. Three orphaned boys. And two hearts torn between duty and desire. Owen Miller had no plans in returning to Cherry Grove, Kentucky until now. At the wake of his brother’s funeral, Owen discovers three young nephews need him to stay as well as the young aunt now responsible for them. He will do his part, for a time, but his life isn’t here anymore.
Amelia Delagrange lost more than a sister. She lost her best friend. No one knew her heart like Mary did. Now with three boys needing her, Amelia must muster up the strength to become a mother to them. She cannot let their uncle take them, even if her only option is to marry a man she doesn’t love. What choice does she have?
One quick decision is about to change the lives of many. My favorite quote is Amelia Delagrange hurried to clean up the sticky mess on the classroom floor before Teacher Kevin noticed. He was given to those disapproving glares meant for boys who’d rather be pranking one of their classmates instead of learning. Amelia had only been a teacher’s helper for one week, and so far, she wasn’t proving herself suited for the position. She’d been late to school on Tuesday after her seven-year-old nephew, David, had hidden her glasses. On Wednesday, Amelia had forgotten to let the older scholars out for morning break at the appropriate time. I recommend this book. Amelia's March Arrangement by Mindy Steele. is a 5-star book. I am looking forward to reading more books by Mindy Steele. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are my own.
At nineteen years old could you single handily decide to raise three young boys after the death of their parents?
This is the decision that Amelia has agreed to do after her sister and brother-in-law die in an unexpected accident. She moves into their house and sets to being a mom. The Amish community she belongs to decides she needs help and to accomplish that feat she needs to marry soon. The Amish are strong believers that children should be raised by two parents. The man the community hopes takes on the challenge is Owen, her now deceased brother-in-law’s brother. Besides not really knowing each other he lives 400 miles away in another Amish community. As they work out a plan to satisfy everyone a higher power has plans of His own.
If you want a book to grab your heart immediately this book is for you. You cannot help but feel the angst Amelia goes through. So young but so strong. Owen didn’t grab me as quick but once you got to know his story from childhood you just wanted to hug him.
My favorite part of the book was Amelia finding the green tin of recipes. I have a green tin of recipes that was my mama’s. I thought it was lost and while cleaning out my parents home for sale I found it! It was the best present from heaven my mama could have sent. Mindy has included a recipe for Hummingbird Cake.
I received a complimentary copy from the author with no requirement to leave a positive review. The above review is in my own words. I was not paid in any way for this review.
Amelia's March Arrangement, by Mindy Steele is book 3 in the An Amish Romance Birthday Series.
In true Mindy Steele fashion, this book is wonderful. It is the telling of Owen Miller’s and Amelia Delagrange‘s lost and found love. Although Owen left his home community when only a young man, he returned for his brother’s funeral. When confronted by the fact that his three nephews and their Aunt Amelia who was now raising them, needed him, he an Amanda agreed to marry in order to give the boys the best possible normal upbringing.
The characters are developed well, and each are described individually in a way that they are very realistic.
The storyline is truly fresh and uniquely interesting. It moves along quickly with each sentence adding an important element to the story.
With twists and turns, we are led on a unique journey.
It is my opinion that this is a 5-star story from beginning to end, an a great addition to this series.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not required to give a review. All opinions are all my own. Release day is March 1, 2026.
Do you love Amish stories? Do you love reading books that pull you right into the pages and make you feel and smell everything that is happening inside the book? If you said yes, then quickly put this book on your reading list. Even though the book starts out on a sad note, sometimes life is like that, you will be amazed how something tragic can be turned into something good. Amelia has just lost her sister and brother-in-law, and needs to step in and help raise her three little nephews. Then there is Owen who left home years ago and comes back for his brother's funeral. What will happen when the Bishop gives them an ultimatum that one of them needs to marry to give the boys the stability that they need? I didn't want this story to end. The books that I have read from this author makes me feel like I'm coming home to old friends. I received a complimentary copy from the author but was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions expressed are what I thought of the book. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Amelia’s March Arrangement by Mindy Steele is a touching Amish tale. The narrative was both inspiring and poignant, featuring characters and scenarios that many readers can identify with. I felt for Amelia, who at eighteen becomes responsible for her sister’s three boys. The author illustrates how a tragic loss impacts a family, but shows that eventually life improves. I especially liked the green tin of recipes that Amelia found in a kitchen cupboard and how the recipes played into the romance. Amelia's March Arrangement is the third installment of An Amish Romance Birthday Series, and it can be read as a standalone. A quote from the book that stuck with me is, “Life doesn’t always go as planned, dochter, but Gott always gives you the means to make it better than it was before.” Amelia's March Arrangement is stirring story with a tragic death, busy boys, parent getting treatments, an unexpected uncle, the bishop’s pronouncement, an unexpected proposal, special recipes, and hoping for a happily ever after.
Almost five years ago, after reading her debut novel, I predicted that Mindy Steele had a bright future as an author. Believe me, I was right! Her latest book is a heartwarming story filled with love of family, faith in God, and hope for the future. It is also a realistic portrayal of immense loss as two relatives step up to honor their loved ones. Would the Amish community accept that an unmarried woman was now the sole provider for her orphaned nephews? Could Owen's temporary visit to Cherry Grove become an answer to Amelia's dilemma?
I loved the character development, the inclusion of several beloved characters from Steele's previous novels, and the special Kentucky setting, but the highlight was the sweet chemistry between Amelia and Owen! I highly recommend Amelia's March Arrangement to all who enjoy Amish Christian romance.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review.
AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT is a touching story about love, loss, and finding hope again. Mindy Steele brings readers back to Cherry Grove, Kentucky, where grief and duty bring two hearts together in unexpected ways.
After his brother's death, Owen Miller returns home to find his three nephews and their devoted aunt, Amelia, in need of help and hope. Amelia, still mourning her sister, is determined to care for the boys, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness. As Owen and Amelia work together, their shared pain slowly turns into something deeper - a quiet, healing love.
In this book, Mindy’s writing is warm and heartfelt, filled with faith, family, and the beauty of second chances. AMELIA’S MARCH ARRANGEMENT is a gentle, uplifting tale of faith, family, and love after loss and is a must read for lovers of this genre. I’m giving it the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy.
Mindy Steele has done it again!! As soon as I started reading I was hooked! All the details the pages explode into your imagination! If you are looking for a story that catches your heart and makes you feel good then go no further!!! Amelia is a good daughter and sister, at 18 she loves to help others while taking care of her family. When tragedy stricks Amelia makes sure that her loved ones will be taken care of even if it means her future is no longer hers. Owen only meant to go pay his respects and meet his nephews, make sure they will be taken care of and then go back to Indiana where he has made his life comfortable. Amelia and Owen are willing to do what needs to be done in order for the boys not to go though any more anguish in their lives. This book is filled with grief, loss, love and the chance for better lives no matter the past.
I was given an ARC however all thoughts and opinions are solely my own. This book will be out on March 1, 2026
Although this is book 3 in the Amish Romance Birthday series, it is a stand alone, as are all of them.
Author Mindy Steel once again hits us right in the feelings. Owen has lost his brother and doesn’t want to return to Cherry Grove. Amelia has lost her sister and is trying to care for three orphaned boys. But as a single woman will the church leadership let her?
It’s obvious that Owen and Amelia need each other but they sure don’t want to. Can they learn to work together to give their hurting nephews a good life? Even if it means setting aside their own desires?
Seriously, you will continue turning the pages to see how this resolves. And you may want to keep a box of tissue with you because this is a moving story of faith and family.
This was a really good read. Wonderful characters. Amelia and Owen are brought together by a tragic accident that claims their siblings lives and leaves 3 young boys orphaned. Owen left the community years ago because of his abusive father. When he comes home for the funeral, he doesn't know his life is about to change in a big way. Amelia is only 18 years old and becomes an instant maam to her nephews. Together they are trying to make an arrangement that works for all of them. This story is about love, loss, family, forgiveness and second chances. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.
Amelia’s March Arrangement” is an enjoyable read with eighteen-year-old Amelia facing challenges as she steps in to care for her three young nephews, the farm, and many animals. Owen, her brother-in-law’s brother, agrees to help her part time. But Owen prefers to move back to his home to his antique shop and auction business. How will Amelia and Owen handle the problems they encounter as they deal with grief, conflicts, and emotions? This was an interesting story with plot twists and down-to-earth characters that live their faith. I did not want to put this book down and read it within a day. I highly recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to give a favorable review. All opinions are my own thoughts on this book.
Amelia's sister Mary and Owen's brother Marvin were married to each other, but since both have died in a tragic accident, someone needs to care for Mary and Marvin's three little boys. Amelia, though only 18, volunteers to care for them. Owen tries to get to know the boys before he returns to his out-of-state home and business. Amelia's bishop insists that the boys need a mother and a father to raise them, so Amelia and Owen must decide how to proceed. The growth of their relationship is sweet and very realistic. I loved the novel!
Amelia’s March Arrangement by Mindy Steele is the third book in an Amish Romance series . Mindy has an amazing gift for developing realistic characters and storylines. Strangers to each other , but sharing a love for the recently orphaned children, Amelia and Owen find themselves in a quandary. You begin to love sweet Amelia and root for Owen as he confronts his past. You will shed a few tears as the children navigate grief. I couldn’t put the book down once i started it! A perfect read for relaxation in a turbulent world .
I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to leave a review . All thoughts are my own.

A tender, heart-stirring romance where grief brings two reluctant guardians together and love grows in the shadow of loss. Filled with faith, family, and second chances, this story beautifully shows how one brave decision can change everything. I look forward to reading this entire series.
