One Fine Day is the second book in the Bayside Brides series, which is a spin-off of the Oyster Bay series, by Olivia Miles. The story is set in the charming seaside town of Oyster Bay off the coast of Maine, with its lovely Victorian homes and businesses, and characters we’ve come to love. If you love small town series then you will absolutely love this book!
This book follows Sarah Preston, who works at Bayside Brides bridal shop along with Chloe and Melanie. I loved Sarah’s story and could really relate to it. Sarah is a girl who wants to remain rooted in her beliefs about love and weddings and happy ever afters, however, she is one more bad date away from becoming eternally jaded and cynical. Teetering on the edge, she makes her feelings known in the bridal shop, must to her boss’s distaste, and winds up with a whole week of suspension to think about whether the job at Bayside Brides is still right for her. During this time, Sarah is on a mission to secure the Crestview mansion for her friend Hannah’s upcoming wedding. This will prove to Chloe, her boss, that she is committed to the bridal shop. If only she can convince the grumpy owner, Chris, to let her use the gardens for the ceremony before he sells it. Chris wants nothing to do with Oyster Bay or the memories it holds. He wants to get in, sell the house, and get back to Boston, but the house needs more work than he planned. That’s why the offer of a helping hand from the pesky bridal shop girl comes at the perfect time and he strikes a deal that in return he will allow her to have her friends wedding on the property. As Sarah and Chris spend more time together they realize their resolve to be alone may not be the right choice after all, when you think you found the one! But no one expected the mansion to sell so quickly! Can Sarah trust a man who goes back on his word? Can Chris really sell the mansion and bolt from Oyster Bay after the delightful week he just had? Wonderful Story!
Wonderful story - this was a delightful return to Oyster Bay. It is the story of dreams, heartbreak, disillusions, hope, friends, promises, moving forward, and love. I laughed, I cried, I loved every step of Sarah and Chris’s journey as they learned to move forward in life, to trust again, and to be open to love.

This is a wonderful book it allows you to think about how some people can't let go of the past. When someone comes into your life and change everything that you were thinking or going by what happened before.

This is a joyous escape story. The brides and brides-to-be are all there bathing the reader in characters and locations both remembered and loved. If you are a fan of this series, you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed reading this book. Just wish it was longer. Characters were fun and you could almost see this as a Hallmark movie. 😊

I just love this series. I feel like the women in this series could be my friends. I loved the plot of this book and loved the characters. Looking forward to reading the next installment.

Unexpected Romance
