3.5 stars, rounded up because this series, for its faults, is always a fun read. The two biggest problems here are the sprawling cast and the redundancy of the plot.
The whole big climax to the first arc with Shiraishi and Yamada getting together is kind of brushed aside - the story clearly has no idea what to do with half the cast, but sidelining Shiraishi in particular seems glaring.
And plot permutations aside, the story is constantly recycling the witch concept (if the end of this volume is to be believed, the extent of this is approaching ludicrousness). It definitely feels like they said what they had to say and then decided to say it again.
Despite that, spending time with the cast again in this volume was a lot of fun. The comedy is usually pretty good, the stories are interesting, the art is always a treat. Sid & Nancy make great foils for Yamada and the arc in the first of this volume is interesting. The second one was fun too; it’s easy to overlook the flaws when that’s the case.
When I first saw the anime adaptation of this series, I know I'm going to read its manga soon. And the time has come, haha.
It's pretty obvious that I love the anime, and my! I couldn't be happier because I love the manga as well. The drawing were so good and those facial expressions were hilarious!
I also love the story line, I know witches idea can be cliche, but I love how the author made this story different. Why it was different? You've got to find it out for yourselves ;)
It was doing pretty good actually until after the part of the first ceremony. I think they just added a twist to it to make it longer and I'm not specially a fan of those lots of memory lost moments. But oh well, the author redeem herself because of that very cute HEA! What more could you wish for eh?
This is kind of a mess now and there are doooo many characters and not enough cute romance for me in this volume. But it is ALWAYS fun. I laughed several times from the ridiculousness of the story. It is still sting with light pervert themes for some reason (always surprised this is written by a woman) but I’m loving this ride.
Nancy is…interesting I guess, I wonder who she is and I feel like there’s a small chance they don’t explain it till way later and I won’t care anymore, the new witches are okay, also wow…14 of them now…might be oversaturating them

New witches means a lot of new characters. My favorite character is an old one, Urara Shiraishi. She is studious; I am studious. She is introverted; I am introverted. She is also humble and kind. As long as she has a major role in the story, I'll continue to like it.
