Fallen Wielder:

Rate this book
Power isn’t Drea Pierce’s problem. It’s what everyone thinks she’ll do with it.
Drea’s abilities are growing faster than anyone expected, and with them comes an unexplained mind-link with Caden Pope, one she can’t control and isn’t sure she wants. The more her power expands, the more The Organization watches her like a threat instead of an ally.
The only place Drea feels like herself is with Lieutenant Daniel Roth. Their relationship is secret, fragile, and more intense than either of them intended. Every moment with him pulls her deeper, yet Drea can’t shake the feeling that something is pushing them further apart and she’s no longer certain whether it’s the world around them or her own accelerating power.

When a violent string of artifact incidents draws the team to New Orleans, Drea sees a chance to prove she belongs. But the city is a crucible of hidden agendas and dangerous magic, and the line between ally and enemy shifts with every choice she makes.

To stand with her team—or stand alone—Drea must decide who she is before someone else decides for her.

In a world built on secrets and control, trust is the deadliest weapon.
And no one is safe when a Wielder falls.

Five stars. No notes. This is exactly how I wanted this series to go — and hands down the best one yet.

This book delivers on everything: betrayal, angst, perfectly placed spice (just enough to make you feral and desperate for more), and emotional tension so sharp I felt Drea’s frustration on a spiritual level… yes, including the sexual frustration.

Davies’ writing continues to be such a standout for me. Drea’s voice feels so real — funny, sharp, vulnerable — like you’re hearing the story straight from a friend who’s trauma-dumping but somehow still making you laugh. That connection makes every hit hurt harder and every win feel earned.

The plot twists? Chef’s kiss. You spend the whole book thinking I’ve got it, it has to be this — and you’re kind of right… until you’re absolutely not. It’s layered, smart, and so well orchestrated.

I love this world so much because it feels real, like it could exist right now and we’d have no idea. The way the history and artifacts are woven from real-world concepts just adds to that immersive, unsettling magic.
The ending raises the stakes in a BIG way (no spoilers, but mythology lovers are going to lose their minds). It sets us up for heartbreak, loss, and something much larger looming on the horizon …and I’m equal parts terrified and thrilled.

This book made me feel everything. Obsessed doesn’t even cover it. 🔥📖

Fallen Wielder takes everything built in the earlier books and drags it into darker, far more dangerous territory that hits closer to home—and I was completely hooked on that tension. Drea isn’t just learning to survive anymore—she’s becoming something powerful and unpredictable.

Her abilities are levelling fast, and you feel that pressure in every scene. The connection between Drea and Caden adds this intense, almost invasive edge, while her dynamic with Daniel brings that secret, emotional pull that makes everything messier (and way more addictive).

And the background buildup? So much was quietly happening underneath it all—little details and moments I was slowly picking up on throughout the book. Then when everything finally clicked into place… it hit like a punch. One of those holy crap moments that makes you stop and rethink what you just read.

If I had to nitpick, I would’ve loved a little more depth in certain moments—especially when it comes to the emotional fallout and the weight of the bigger consequences. But honestly, that lingering sense of unfinished answers just made me even more desperate for what comes next.

I really enjoyed this series. This last book was intense. Every one was against Drea and I knew something sinister was happening but that was the mystery, trying to figure out where and who it was coming from.

My heart was very sad and aching for Drea. So much turmoil and second guessing herself. It is hard with the world is against 1 person, making them feel rejected and something is wrong with them. Also, being gaslit by those she trusted, making her feel crazy.

The climax of the story line was .... hard. Wow! The fallout was even harder. It was good to know why all of it was happening, but I didn't get the happy ending I was looking for.

While a lot of things are revealed in the end ... it really isn't a complete ending. I'm not sure if the series will expand - but there is room for more.

Fallen Wielder by D.A. Davis - 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What can I say about Fallen Wielder? D.A. Davis has truly outdone herself! This book serves as the perfect conclusion to the trilogy.

Unlike many stories, there’s no hurried happily-ever-after here. Instead, the characters respond in ways that feel authentic and relatable, capturing how real people would navigate their challenges.

The book is filled with suspense, manipulation, unrequited love, relationship struggles, and even mind reading. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that has everything you could want!

I’m eagerly anticipating the possibility of returning to this captivating world. I truly hope we get the chance, as I’m all in for more!

How I wish that more than 5 stars could be awarded. This is one of those special series …. one you’ll remember long after you’ve read it and one you’ll reread many times. Beautifully written, fascinating plot and characters with so much depth and life.

Good series.

I am waiting for continuing books in this series. Good character development and story line. And it tells me I must write five more words.
