The Kane twins ruined me once, and I’ve made damn sure they’ll never get the chance again.
Five years later, I’m broke, unemployed, and desperate enough to make a decision I swore I never would. I travel back home, sign up for the View4U app, and hope I can make some money until I figure out what I want to do with my life.
Then Landon and Levi Kane catch me in a mortifying position, with my ass covered in lube. And soon the past I tried hard to bury is standing right in front of me, demanding answers.
The twins want to know why I disappeared, why I cut them out of my life without an explanation. But if they want the truth, they’re going to have to earn it. So I make them a deal, though some would call it blackmail. If they help me build my online content, then maybe, just maybe, they’ll get the truth they lost the right to know years ago.
The man we’re supposed to chase should be nothing but content, a means to an end. Yet once his identity is exposed, and I understand who he is to Landon, circumstances change. Tate isn’t a stranger; he is their coach. While it may be complicated, this could be a win-win situation for us all.
Once lines are crossed, there is no way to control who gets hurt, but maybe there is a way we can all get what we want.
I have loved this series so much so with another addition that excitment grew. The fact that it was not only another hockey romance but also a second chance (two of my absolute favourites) I ate this one up in one sitting!!
As always with a Jaye Pratt book expect fast paced top teir spice and lots of tension between these characters. I loved the addition to Tate and how he helped bring them all back together, after a little chaos of course. This one was so fun. 🤭
Can't wait to see what is next. This one is probably my favourite of the series so far and no not only because the FMC has the same name as me 😂
The Kane twins (brothers to Leila) are up and their special someone is Leila's BFF Abby. Hold up. It's a little more complicated than that. Landon and Levi are both into Abby. But there's also Tate. Landon and Abby and both into Tate (Levi tolerates him because he makes Abby happy, basically, and Levi doesn't mind sharing). Come to think, Levi is really ONLY into Abby. He's just super okay with her being with the others.
So. Abby had a thing with Landon and Levi before. THINGS HAPPENED and she ghosted them without ever telling them what those things were. She's been carrying around a boatload of hurt since things imploded and Landon and Levi have...well, they've also been carrying around a boatload of hurt. There was just a lot of hurt going around and Abby shut them out so completely that they not only didn't know what had happened, they never got a chance to defend or explain themselves.
Now they three are temporarily sharing a house and things are complicated. Lines are being crossed. Abby is figuring out that maybe she was a little hasty in believing what she believed. Levi is ready to jump back in to a relationship. Landon is...let's just say he's a little more wary in getting involved. His wariness translates to pushing his new assistant coach a bit more than maybe he should have. However, forcing Tate outside his comfort zone did give Tate the courage to grab onto his happiness, so maybe he pushed him just the right amount.
Anywho. Landon, Levi, and Abby have some chase-y, chase fun with Tate with Tate not knowing who they were. When the truth comes to light (as it always does), the four of them have to figure out how to navigate a complex relationship and any of the publicity that might come with it.
I must say I'm enjoying these masked men and the group dynamics that go along with their relationships.
I have been loving this masked men series. This book follows on from characters we met in “Filthy Puckers”. Leila’s bestfriend Abbey and her twin brothers. Were thrown 5yrs into the future and we learn that things did not end well with the twins. However, with Abbey returning to their home town and the twins suddenly having their place renovated, they all end up sharing a home. Looking to make an income, Abbey joins our favourite adult content app. I liked that we got another female masked character rather then her being the prey. I did feel like there was less drama around the identity reveal that happened in this book, no grovelling for the betrayal of trust. Spoilers ahead
- my main let down for this story was the cheating trope. She received a photo of her boyfriends naked with their agent. She’s touching one and one is grabbing her. This is never explained, there was no “it was photoshopped” moment, the boys never defended it, only saying they didn’t sleep with her and the call was staged. “Leila pieced it together” pieced what together? That Levi and Landon were fucking around with their agent? I’m not convinced they didn’t. Even if it was “staged” the boys were still naked alone with her and touching her, plus what they didn’t realise she was moaning their name in response? I really don’t like cheating and so I feel like she spent 5yrs being rightfully mad about it just to cave for dick without an explanation.
-abbeys drunk 3rd person talking was also kinda cringe 😅
At this point, if Jaye Pratt writes it, I’m going to read it—and this book definitely didn’t disappoint.
The story follows Abby as she moves back to her hometown, only to find herself unexpectedly rooming with her ex-boyfriends—the same ones she ghosted five years ago. As you can imagine, chaos and tension quickly follow. I loved the second-chance aspect of the story and reading how the characters work through their past while rebuilding trust.
The introduction of Tate throws a beautiful wrench into the dynamic. I loved how accepting everyone was of him, and how Jaye takes us along on his journey and growth throughout the story.
Jaye has a real talent for pulling you into her characters’ lives early on, making you instantly invested in their story. I finished this book in a day because I couldn’t put it down. The tension and spice were top-tier. I can’t wait to see what she writes next.

🐟 “Welcome to the chaos, Coach. It’s going to be one hell of a ride.” 🏒
I had been really looking forward to this story after finishing Filthy Puckers, and for the most part, it lived up to that excitement. The group dynamic was easily one of the strongest aspects of the book; the quartet felt natural together, both in their relationships and in the way they interacted overall. There was a balance to them that made their connection believable and fun to read.
🏒 “I lied, there are two reasons. The warmups, those are good foreplay, and the violence—it turns me on.” 🐟
🐟 “Glad to see nothing has changed with your experience at the boy aquarium.” 🏒
Abby, in particular, stood out to me. Her frustration with the twins felt completely justified, and the tension between them was well written and engaging from the start. It added an emotional weight that grounded the story, especially early on. I also really liked that she wasn’t just on the sidelines when it came to the masked element; having her actively participate made the trope feel fresher and more balanced. In fact, I think this book handled the masked FMC concept better than On Your Knees, and a big part of that came down to how much more I connected with this group as a whole.
🏒 “Being with you and Abby makes me feel like maybe I don’t have to be what my family expects me to be, or what society expects me to be. I can just be . . . me.” 🐟
It was also fun revisiting characters from earlier books in the series. The opening with Abby going off on Ridge was a great touch; it felt perfectly in line with what we already knew about him and set the tone in a really satisfying way.
🐟 “You’re a walking red flag, Levi Kane.” 🏒
🏒 “Red flags f*ck better.” 🐟
That said, there were a few things that didn’t fully land for me. The biggest issue was the situation with the guys and their agent. We’re told that nothing actually happened and that the whole thing was essentially orchestrated, but we never get a real explanation, especially when it comes to the photo. That felt like a major loose end. Something that significant needed more than a quick dismissal, and the lack of clarity really pulled me out of the story.
🐟 “I know I don’t have to ask, but it will be a cold day in hell before I let that woman destroy the chance of having you back in my life. Honestly, I would walk away from hockey before I ever let that happen again.” 🏒
I also struggled a bit with Landon’s character arc. Even after the truth came out, his decision to hold himself back so strongly didn’t entirely make sense to me. I think having more chapters from his perspective could have helped flesh that out and given better insight into his internal conflict beyond just his attraction to Tate.

🏒 “You don’t need to be perfect to be beautiful—you need to be yourself.” 🐟
I am head-over-heels in love with this book. The FMC, Abby, energy was unrepentant with a high level of sass. My favorite thing was her snarky insults. They literally had me laughing out loud.
The book opens with Abby’s snark:
“Listen here, you emotionally constipated skyscraper of a man, I’m so sorry I didn’t get your caramel, oat milk, non-fat, high foam, kiss-my-a$$ coffee order right. But maybe if you took your head out of your own ass for five minutes, you would realize the real issue here isn’t your coffee—it’s the fact that you’ve got the emotional range of an unplugged toaster.”
Abby and I could definitely be best friends. I loved her energy. Her quick retorts are now stored in my “insults,” file. I hope I get a chance to use one, it would honestly make my day.
We can't forget the “man meat:”
Levi and Landon are twins, who play on the professional hockey team, Cyclones, and their Assistant coach Tate.
Levi is the “fun" half of the twin duo. He’s cocky with a total "IDGAF" energy. He provides constant comedic relief with a quirky, slightly inappropriate vibe. His voracious appetite for Abby turns hot and heavy fast, and it hits all the right spots.
Landon is the other half of the twin duo. He is the complete opposite of his brother. Always brooding, and taking everything too seriously. As he explores his relationship with Abby, he finds himself drawn to their assistant coach,Tate. Landon doesn’t play games. When he wants something he goes for it, and he wants Tate. I would be remiss if I didn't let you know this man’s top tier dirty talk. While a pro on the ice, his moves in between the sheets are definitely in the “pro,” category.
Tate is the assistant coach who seems to be the more reserved of the group. He struggles on his journey to self-discovery, afraid of his "taboo" desires. He worries what society might think, and how that would affect his life. His relationship with Abby is sweet, and I loved how respectful, and intuitive he is. He also has an intense connection with Landon, but is hesitant to admit it.
All four of them go down a path of self-discovery, healing, and renewed connections. It is a wild ride as they explore each other's bodies. The sexual tension is heavy, and when they finally come together, it is everything I love in a polyamorous romance.
Seriously, some of the spicy scenes were a total 🤌🏼 (fair warning: you may need a moment for some "self-care" after reading⚡). If you like romances with complex relationships and a poly element, you are in the right place. Whatever book is currently at the top of your TBR can wait—read this instead. You can thank me later!
First of all… the chaos. The drama. The absolutely unhinged situation this girl finds herself in right at the start had me cackling and cringing at the same time. Getting caught in that mortifying moment by the Kane twins? I nearly threw my Kindle across the room from second-hand embarrassment but also could not stop reading. It’s the kind of messy, spicy setup that hooks you immediately and refuses to let go.
And the Kane twins… LANDON and LEVI. Lord help me. These two walked back into her life like a storm rolling over the ice rink. There’s history, hurt, tension, unfinished feelings simmering everywhere. You can practically feel the sparks snapping in the air every time they’re on the page together. I loved that they weren’t just smooth hockey boys either. They had regret, confusion, and that desperate need to understand why she disappeared on them. It made everything feel raw and addictive.
The deal she makes with them? Genius. Petty. Slightly chaotic. I loved every second of it. Watching them work together to build her online content while also digging through years of unresolved feelings was just delicious drama. The banter alone had me grinning like an idiot.
And then Tate enters the picture and suddenly things go from complicated to nuclear level messy. When the identity reveal hit I literally said “NO WAY” out loud. Coach involvement? With the twins connected to him? The tension in those scenes could’ve powered a small city. The dynamics between all of them were layered, emotional, and spicy without feeling forced.
What I love most about Jaye’s books is how the characters feel messy and human. Nobody is perfect. Everyone is carrying baggage. But watching them slowly untangle all that history and figure out what they actually want was ridiculously satisfying.
Also the humour in this book deserves a standing ovation. I laughed, I gasped, I clutched my chest like a dramatic Victorian woman multiple times. It’s emotional, chaotic, funny, and full of chemistry.
Basically if you like 🏒 hockey boys with complicated hearts 🔥 second chances mixed with unresolved tension 😳 embarrassing moments that spiral into absolute chaos 💥 messy relationships that somehow still make you root for everyone
then this book will grab you by the collar and drag you straight through it.
Another absolute hit for me. Jaye never misses and once again proved why her books are automatic reads in my world. I finished this with a stupid grin on my face and immediately wanted more.
Another great entertaining read by Jaye Pratt! This is Tate, Abby, Landon and Levi's story. MFMM why choose second chance romance! The twins playing hockey whilst Abby unemployed and broke finds her returning to her home town. Something she vowed she would never do As Abby returns to her home town, staying at Leila, Jagger, Knox and Riven's house till she gets back on her feet, she finds she has unexpected house guests. Landon and Levi! After leaving Landon and Levi behind her with a broken heart, she never wanted to ever see them again. Landon and Levi don't know what they did to make her leave them. Is Jagger playing cupid? Maybe just a little...... But Landon is not as forgiving as Levi. All Levi wants is to have his girl back, but also why did she leave them in the first place? Hurt and betrayal all round as they navigate trying to start being friends again. Hard when they all secretly have not gotten over each other, even though 5 years has passed. The lies are finally revealed and both Levi and Landon realise they have all been played by their Manager, Anastasia. But she will soon find she will be looking for a new job. Yay, that makes Abby very happy indeed! But a lovely twist to this story is Tate! He is still trying to find himself in the hockey world, not as a hockey player but as a Coach. A coach who has secretly had a crush on Landon for years. A coach that is now coaching the new team Landon and Levi have been traded to. Landon seems to like his coach a whole lot more than he should too! Yay secret crushes all round! The open door heat is outstanding, as we get Landon and Tate accepting that they like each other whilst Landon and Levi rekindle their love for Abby. All the while, Abby decides that she will try and work out some creative content for view4U. A site that creates adult content. With Landon and Tate and a secret admirer from the view4U platform. Ahhh now who doesn't like being chased down by 3 masked individuals? In an aquarium no less.... Tate apparently does! And s3x on the shark platform....so dark and dangerous, but it seems it is what Tate, Abby and Landon enjoy....to the fullest! Landon and Levi recognise Tate straight away, this leads to some great heated content for Abby. As they all find themselves loving the outcome of the videos, Tate does not take to the reveal of who the masked strangers are very well.... Seems grovelling and forgiveness takes over a lot in this book but that does lead to some s3xy times with our 3 men and Abby! Or just Abby and Levi....or maybe Landon and Tate. It is all soooo good! This story is entertaining with its laugh out loud moments, Levi and Jagger with their quick wit, to the heated scenes on and off the view4U platform. Just loved it all! Another must read in the masked men series....
“Because I understand that life is messy, people are complicated feelings don't just disappear because you want them to.”
A heartfelt second-chance mmfm romance, Puck Me Dead by Jaye Pratt, is another wonderful addition to the masked men series.
The story begins by introducing us to Abby, who is still healing five years after experiencing a painful heartbreak caused by the Kane twins. Determined to protect herself from further hurt, she is cautious about trusting again. After losing her job and now being completely broke, she makes the difficult yet hopeful decision to return home. To support herself while figuring out her future, she signs up for the View4U app. When she is caught in an embarrassing predicament by the twins, she is reminded of her past as they demand answers about why she left all those years ago. Concluding that she might as well get something out of it, she chooses to blackmail them into creating content together, promising to tell them the truth afterwards. However, things become more complicated than they first anticipated when they discover that the man they are supposed to chase isn’t just a means to an end, but Tate, the twins’ coach, who is also navigating a tense and uncertain connection with Landon.
The relationships between the main characters are among my favourite aspects of the story. Pratt skillfully creates a dynamic filled with compassion and depth, as each character’s unique personality brings something special to the narrative. Abby’s engaging and resilient personality, contrasted with Levi’s outgoing nature, and Landon’s more stubborn and reserved demeanour, make for an emotionally rich and captivating read. Not to mention the intense connection between Landon and Tate, the twins’ assistant coach, which adds further layers of complexity and intrigue.
For those who love a spicy yet meaningful ice hockey romance, as well as humour that makes each character more lovable this is definitely the perfect book for you.
Jaye Pratt has quickly become one of my go-to authors, and Puck Me Dead was another solid addition to the Masked Men/Women world that I’ve come to love. I’ve read the rest of the series and really enjoyed them, so jumping back into this universe and seeing familiar names pop up again felt like catching up with old friends. One of my favourite things about this book was how Pratt continued to weave previous characters into the story, it made the world feel connected and rewarding for readers who’ve followed the series from the beginning.
The Kane twins were just as intense and complicated as I expected after everything that happened between them and the FMC years earlier. Their history added a lot of emotional weight to the story, and the tension between past hurt and present attraction kept things interesting the whole way through. Watching those dynamics unfold again after such a long separation made the relationship drama feel layered rather than rushed.
That said, Tate absolutely stood out to me as a character. He was intriguing, complex, and brought a different dynamic to the story that I really enjoyed. I honestly found myself wanting even more of him, particularly toward the end. While I liked how his role played out, I did wish there had been a bit more finality or closure to his storyline. His character had so much depth that it left me hoping for a slightly more definitive wrap-up.
Overall, *Puck Me Dead* delivered the same addictive drama, messy relationships, and interconnected storytelling that I’ve come to expect from Jaye Pratt. If you’ve enjoyed the other Masked Men/Women books, this one definitely fits right in, especially with the returning characters and the way it expands the world. I just finished it wishing there was a little more closure for Tate, but maybe that also means there’s room for more stories in this universe, which I certainly wouldn’t complain about.
This book takes place approximately 5years after Filthy Puckers where we first meet Abby and the Kane twins Landon and Levi.
Abby was with the twins for awhile following the events of Filthy Puckers but after she gets hints that they cheated on her she blocks them and leaves before they can break her heart anymore. They are left lost and confused as to why she left so when Abby finds herself broke, unemployed and desperate she decides to move back to her home town and join the View4U app to make some money. Her plans change though when she realises the house her friend Jagger has said she can live in isn't going to be just her home.
I absolutely loved this book, it was so amazing to see cameos from multiple of Jayes books in there (felt like a 'where are they now' glimpse into them). Aside from the cameos the story itself was fantastic, seeing all the sides of the story as truth from the past is uncovered as well as learning to accept oneself in order to find joy was so great. My favourite aspect for sure though was that unlike most the other masked men books previously this one had a strong focus on the POV of the masked characters from planning the chases to fighting to keep the people they want with them. Of course hockey is involved but it absolutely wasn't the forefront so if your thinking 'I don't like sports/hockey romances' then put those thoughts aside and jump in.
I for sure recommend reading the whole series but if you've stumbled onto this wonderful book first then you can definitely dive right in as a standalone, there are a few triggers, it is MFMM and the spicy scenes do not lack (including MM scenes) so if you think you might find anything uncomfortable then look at the content warnings first.
This book thrives on chaos, complicated feelings, and the kind of unresolved history that refuses to stay buried. Abby returns to her hometown after life knocks her flat, only to collide once again with Landon and Levi, the twin hockey players tied to some of the most painful moments of her past. Naturally, fate does not just reopen the door. It kicks it off the hinges.
Trying to rebuild her life, Abby stumbles into an unconventional way to pay the bills and ends up pulling the twins into the situation with her. The result is an unpredictable mix of tension, humor, lingering hurt, and chemistry that refuses to behave. Abby, Landon, and Levi orbit each other like three charged magnets. Their dynamic is sharp, messy, and full of snappy banter that keeps the story lively.
Running parallel to that chaos is Landon’s slow-burn connection with Tate, the team’s assistant coach. Their relationship carries a constant sense of risk, which gives their scenes an extra spark. The tension between them builds gradually and adds another emotional layer to the story.
One of the highlights was Abby’s personal growth. Watching her finally face the past and listen to the truth instead of retreating from it felt like an important turning point for her character.
I did find myself wishing a few elements had been explored more deeply. The confrontation with Anastasia felt like it could have been expanded, since that conflict carried so much weight throughout the story. I also would have loved more insight into Tate’s inner conflict and his journey with his sexuality, as well as seeing how his family ultimately responded.
Overall, this was a drama-packed story filled with tangled relationships, emotional tension, and characters who rarely take the easy path. If you enjoy messy dynamics, second-chance feelings, and a healthy dose of hockey-world chaos, this one delivers. 🏒🔥
🖤 Hockey Romance 🏒 Masked FMC/MMCs 🖤 MFMM 🏒 Second Chance 🖤 Forced Proximity 🏒 Forbidden Romance
Puck Me Dead is the perfect addition to Jaye Pratt’s Masked Men series! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not usually a fan of the miscommunication trope (or lack there of communication?) but this is absolutely exception!
Our strong and sassy FMC Abby needs to make some quick cash and decides to dive into the world of spicy content creation. The catch? She’s currently stuck living with her exes- who also happen to be twins and her best friend’s brothers. Naturally, she gives the Kane twins a very tempting proposal to “co-star” in her videos and the lingering feelings and chemistry take off from there.
The tension between Abby and Landon was electric, and I loved the layered dynamic between Landon and Tate.
I really liked how Landon and Levi handled Abby’s five year ghosting differently. Levi was quick to forgive, while Landon really struggled with his hurt. It made the brothers’ reconciliation with Abby on their own timelines feel so realistic.
It was also really exciting to see Abby as the “masked chaser.” In this series, it’s usually the men doing the pursuing, so seeing her take the lead and flip the script was incredibly fun.
This story is closely tied to Filthy Puckers which follows Abby’s best friend, Leila. While Puck Me Dead works perfectly as a standalone, be warned… once you finish Puckers OR Puck Me, you’re going to be itching to dive into the other immediately!
I absolutely loved this book! It nailed every single puck shot for me and has officially fueled my obsession with hockey romance. If there are hockey sticks and spice involved, I need it in my life right now!
Alsooo… where do I put in my request for Jaye Pratt to make merch tees that say Puck Me Dead like Abby’s 😂🏒
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🏒🏒

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶🌶🌶 The newest steamy addition to Jaye Pratt’s Masked Men series... and this time we’re gifted something extra special! Another masked female 😍 (Thank you, Jaye!)
This was actually my first ice-hockey romance. I went into it a little reserved, because I’m not into sports in real life and know absolutely nothing about the game. I quickly discovered that sport has nothing to do with it… unless you’re counting how many Os someone can reach in one night. 😉🤭
'That asshole is in grey sweats, and he smirks. He damn well knows what he is doing, sprinkling women's crack right in front of me.'
We’re also gifted identical twins. Muscly, strong, handsome identical twins. I thought this might be a taboo I’d cringe at, but once again Jaye proves how talented she is as a writer. It never feels weird or uncomfortable. There's no grossness in sight.
'Does it make me a dick that I one-upped my brother? Fuck no. He can suck my left nut if he has a problem with it. Not literally, of course- that would be super fucking weird.'
The FMC is incredible. She’s sassy, strong, takes absolutely no crap, and knows her worth. The banter had me laughing out loud more than once, and the smut? Some of the hottest scenes in very interesting places… you definitely won’t get bored.
'Pulp. There's fucking pulp in the juice. "What kind of human rights violation is this?" I mutter, staring at the glass like it personally betrayed me.'
What I love most about Jaye’s books is that the spice never exists on its own. There’s still story, character growth, and that beautiful journey of finding yourself along the way.
We also get some fun cameos from characters in previous books. You don’t need to read them to enjoy this one, but if you want to get the most out of those moments, I’d recommend starting with On Your Knees and Filthy Puckers first.
A Spicy, Chaotic, and Emotionally Messy Ride This is a steamy and angsty story about second chances, miscommunication, and the messy, complicated bonds of love and friendship. The novel follows Abby, a woman down on her luck after losing her job, as she returns to her hometown and reconnects with Landon and Levi, the twin hockey players who broke her heart years ago, or so she thought. When Abby stumbles into creating adult content to make ends meet, she blackmails the twins into helping her, leading to a whirlwind of tension, old wounds, and unexpected chemistry. Meanwhile, Landon’s forbidden attraction to Tate, the team’s new assistant coach, adds another layer of complication to an already tangled web of relationships. The trio's chemistry (Abby, Landon and Levi) is chaotic and messy. They have a fun dynamic. I enjoyed their banter and the tension between them. The forbidden tension and slow burn between Landon and Tate was scorching. It was enjoyable that Abby showed growth, she manages to listen and accept what actually happened instead of running away like before I would have loved more of Anastasia as villain. I feel she is mentioned to brief. It would be great to exploit that a bit more. Same goes for Tate his storyline. It feels a bit rushed. I would have loved a deeper dive into his internal struggle and the exploration of his sexuality. All with all this was a fun, flirty book that balanced humor heat an chaotic energy.
Puck Me Dead is super spicy, hilarious, and so good I couldn't put it down. If you are into primal, masks, hockey, or why choose then this is absolutely a must read. Puck Me Dead delves into the relationship of Abby, Levi, and Landon who we met in Filthy Puckers. If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for! It's amazing. There is also the addition of Tate, Landon and Levi's hockey coach. Tate and Landon have a complicated relationship. This story is a MMFM. A situation arose so Abby decided to ghost the guys. She moves back home after five years and ends up living with Landon and Levi. She needs a job so she decides to create adult content for View4U and she coerces the guys to join. She connects with one of her followers and invites him to create with them. Coincidentally, the follower is Tate. Due to Tate being their coach they make sure they hide their identities from him. The primal scenes are hot, intense, and take place in surprising locations. I absolutely love these characters. Abby is definitely one of my favorite FMC's. She is feisty, hilarious, and unapologetically herself. Drunk Abby is an absolute gem. I also loved seeing the crossover characters from Filthy Puckers. Anytime Jagger is around you know chaos is about to ensue, especially with Abby's encouragement. I loved this story! I can't wait to see what Jaye Pratt comes up with next!
Mum me says, Do not meet someone on the internet and ask if they want to be chased by you in a mask, especially if their username is #Notaserialkiller. Is that not what a serial killer would say? I feel like I have to remind you constantly about online safety. How many books in are we now—like eleven? Have you not listened to anything I’ve said? If it’s your first time here, please be smarter than everyone else. You do not want to chase or be chased by strangers; I don’t care if it’s at the aquarium and two of the masked men by your side are twins, or if the man on his knees is hot. You know what you’re going to be? Dead and floating face down, being judged by sea life. Have you even considered the fact that some poor soul will find you naked like that? No, I didn’t think so. And sharks—just why?! I am lost for words. Clearly you didn’t grow up watching Jaws.
Jaye Pratt's books what can I say they pull you in and you can't stop reading. They are hot and always have some fun with the chase.
This book made me squeal from the first page cause one of my fave side characters is back. Leila's best friend Abby is back and this is her story add in Leila's brothers and a hot assistant coach and the school have fireworks that no one can contain and if that isn't enough for you our fave male MMC Jagger makes some appearances which are just as funny as always oh it's so good.
i love hockey men especially Levi, Landon and Tate 🤭 Abby is one lucky woman. at first things are a little rocky because her, Levi and Landon had a relationship that didn’t end well but five years later they are brought back together. Abby is staying at her friend Leila’s house in their hometown and her twin brothers, Levi and Landon show up to stay there as well. things get heated and the tension gets thick. as they are working things out we meet Tate, Levi and Landon’s assistant coach 👀 Abby is trying to make some money and drags Levi and Landon along. together the three of them chase Tate and all of them have fun 😉 i love Abby, she’s funny and feisty. the twins are opposites, Levi is outgoing and goofy whereas Landon is more reserved but still fun. Tate is thoughtful and kind. all of them together had me laughing and enjoying every minute of reading 🖤 and the spice?? there’s a scene i don’t think i’ll ever forget…the aquarium 👀 once you read it (because you definitely should) you’ll know 🤭 ︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶ one of my favorite quotes from the book:
“I’ve been running from myself for a long time. From what I actually want and what I actually am. Being with you made me stop running.” 🖤
Puck Me Dead by Jaye Pratt is a fun, entertaining hockey romance that can be read as a standalone, but it also works as a follow-up to Filthy Puckers. Written in first person with four POVs, the story brings readers back into the world of the twin brothers and their best friend from the first book, while also introducing the coach from the twins’ new team.
What really stood out to me in this one was the focus on the relationships and banter between the characters. The dialogue is sharp, playful, and full of personality, which made the characters feel even more connected and real. Watching their friendships and dynamics unfold was one of my favourite parts of the story.
Compared to the other Jaye Pratt books I’ve read, this one felt like it leaned more into the storyline and character relationships, and for me personally, that’s exactly what I enjoy most in a romance. The balance between humour, tension, and character bonding made it a really engaging read.
Overall, this has become my favourite Jaye Pratt book so far. If you enjoy hockey romance with great banter, strong character dynamics, and a story that keeps the focus on relationships as much as the romance, Puck Me Dead is definitely worth picking up.
Puck Me Dead by Jaye Pratt is a chaotic, tension-filled second-chance MFMM romance that absolutely delivers on angst, banter, and spice. The Kane Brothers finally get their story.
Abby is back in town—broke, guarded, and still carrying the scars from Levi and Landon Kane breaking her heart five years ago. The twins want answers, Abby wants control… and somehow that turns into blackmail, forced proximity, and a very messy arrangement involving their coach, Tate. Because of course it does. The chemistry? Off the charts. Abby holds her own with Levi’s charm and Landon’s broody edge, and the tension between Landon and Tate adds an extra layer of heat and complication that keeps everything deliciously unsteady. No one can keep things “just business,” no matter how hard they try. The banter is sharp, the group dynamics are chaotic in the best way, and the history between them makes every moment hit harder. Watching them circle each other—equal parts resentment, attraction, and unresolved feelings—is wildly addictive. Messy, funny, emotional, and seriously spicy—this is a must-read if you love complicated relationships, second chances, and characters who absolutely cannot stay away from each other.
Once again, Jaye has outdone herself with a Masked Woman (and men) book that had me laughing, blushing and overheating throughout the entire story!
Abby is the FMC of my dreams. She’s sassy and feisty and she doesn’t take crap from anyone, especially the Kane Twins Landon and Levi, who broke her heart 5 years ago. Forced to live with them against her better judgment, sparks fly and it’s true what they say about there being a very fine line between love and hate. But when it turns out there may have been some foul play and a huge misunderstanding all those years ago, well let’s say second chances have never looked so good. Throw in the assistant coach for the boys ice hockey team Tate, who’s been rivals with Landon for years and fighting some seriously unresolved tension.. well let’s just say we love to when the boyfriends are also boyfriends…
“That’s it,” I whisper against his ear, my other hand coming up to grip the back of his neck, holding him in place. “Let go for me, Tate. I want to feel it.”
Everything about this book was so UNBELIEVABLY HOT! The spicy scenes were some of my favorite from the entire Masked Men series and even the locations were really cool and well thought out.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read, especially all the cameos from previous books! It was so fun to see them pop up and intertwine together. Highly recommend if you enjoy:
Second chance Enemies to lovers MMFM Forbidden romance (coach/player) Friends to lovers Fake dating Forced proximity (living together) Secret identity Masked men/woman Hockey romance
"Welcome to the chaos Coach. It’s going to be one hell of a ride."
Nothing like devouring a Jaye Pratt Masked Men book in 1 sitting and what a bonus when it has a super hot masked girly too! 🤭 After Filthy Puckers I was so down for some more fast fun dark hockey romance and this absolutely delivered with Two Words... SHARK. TANK. That is all... 🦈
I was so glad to see Levi and Landon in a different light not playing the over protective kind of annoying brothers of Leila but the vulnerable head over heels boys in love with Abby instead. The way they all reconnected like no time had passed was so cute. Their chemistry and banter is just so good! 🤌🏻
The addition of Tate to their trio was the cherry on top! It added some much extra tension to the story with how he came into it. I loved Tate so much, definitely my favourite of this book. 😍😍😍
A big highlight of this book was that we got to see a little glimpse of Leila, Jagger, Given and Knox a bit of a "where are they now" and I'm obsessed. They are just adorable. 🥹
I would say if you enjoy Heated Rivalry but want a darker vibe then youll definitely eat up this book! 🥵
A delightful, spicy, and funny why-choose romance featuring hockey players, MM dynamics, and masked men — and this time our FMC joins the hunt as well.
It’s a fast-burn story filled with intense and passionate moments. The plot includes intrigue, heartbreak, and forbidden relationships, but it’s also about second chances, acceptance, and self-discovery.
Two of the MMCs are twin brothers — captivating, delightfully possessive, and amusingly irritating — while the third is their coach, who has a calmer and sweeter personality.
Our FMC is a strong woman, the kind who doesn’t take insults quietly and has no problem speaking her mind. For me, it was impossible not to like her.
Her relationship with the twins, although intense, is complicated by past events that forced them apart. But the present brings clarity and new opportunities, along with some very fun moments.
Although it can be read as a standalone, characters from previous books make an appearance, giving us the best of both worlds: a new story and a bit of an epilogue to a previous one. Simply wonderful.
This why-choose romance has a bit of everything in it! There's hockey, enemies-to-lovers, second-chance, mm, twins, primal play, masked men/woman, and tons of spicy scenes!
I loved this book! Definitely another favorite of mine from these masked men books. This one felt different from the others just like Filthy Puckers did. I think it's the story and relationship progression. There are just more details and build-up, which I love. The pacing was perfect and didn't feel rushed. The enemies-to-lovers and sexual tension kept me turning the page. I found myself chuckling and smiling quite a few times with so many funny moments and hilarious banter throughout the book. I really love that Abby also wore a mask so it wasn't just the men doing it. The spicy scenes were plenty and fabulous!
I loved getting to see Leila and her guys and what they're up to now. The other name drops of familiar characters were fun as well. I do wish we would've gotten an epilogue that was set further in the future to see how they end up.
We're back in the chaotic twisted world of masked men. Jaye Pratt delivered another dark and delicious book that borders the line of chaos and sanity perfectly. Part of the Masked Men Series this is a standalone in this world.
Abby is back home after being away for five years and being completely knocked down by life. But time doesn't stand still anywhere. The hometown she once knew is not the same. She is a massive ball of energy in a little body with all the sass and attitude.
Levi and Landon are twin brothers who are hockey stars. But five years prior they were the bad boys who broke Abby's heart. These two are literally opposites of each other.
Tate is our assistant coach. He is the reserved quiet one of the group. Trying to focus on both Abby and the team. Trying to figure it all out.
I love the journey these four go through. The chaos, humor, second chance and spiciness give us an amazing book. It is why choose and sits on the darker side.
ARC Reader Confessional – Puck Me Dead: A Masked Men Novel by Jaye Pratt
This is the third book in this series that I’ve read now, and it continues to deliver the strong characters and emotional moments I’ve come to expect from these stories.
There were a few parts this time that didn’t quite hit the mark for me, and I didn’t feel as pulled in as I have with some of the others. That said, the writing is still solid, the characters are engaging, and the story definitely has those moments that get you right in the feels.
One thing this series does well every time is creating characters you care about, and that was still true here. Even when the pacing or certain scenes didn’t land perfectly for me, I stayed invested enough to want to see how everything played out.
Overall, not my favourite of the ones I’ve read so far, but still a good read with strong writing, memorable characters, and plenty of emotion.
📖 I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Format: Kindle I absolutely devoured this book. I’m a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story. It’s full of spice and plot! There is nothing better than having both! The banter between the characters was absolutely hilarious. I chuckled quite a few times! Abby is probably one of my favorite female main characters in Jaye’s books. She’s so witty and a full of sass. Chapter one opening line from Abby: “Listen here, you emotionally constipated skyscraper of a man, I’m so sorry I didn’t get your caramel, oat milk, non-fat, high foam, kiss-my-a$$ coffee order right. But maybe if you took your head out of your own ass for five minutes, you would realize the real issue here isn’t your coffee—it’s the fact that you’ve got the emotional range of an unplugged toaster.” Right off the bat I feel in love with her! 😂 I’m so glad The Kane twins got their own book. I highly recommend reading Filthy Puckers for a taste of the twins! And let’s not forget Assistant Coach Tate!! I love how he’s incorporated!!
I’ve been hooked on the masked men novella series since book one, and I’ve had the privilege of ARC reading the last four installments. We first meet Abby Levi and Landon in "Filthy Puckers," and I’m thrilled we finally got their story.
Jaye Pratt packs an incredible amount of plot and spice into a quick, fun read. This one takes you from lovers to enemies to friends and back to lovers, with the twist of bringing a new person into their relationship.
The pacing was spot-on, with the romance unfolding naturally and never feeling rushed. There’s witty banter, sizzling sexual tension, and the spice absolutely delivers. I also loved catching up with Leila and her men.
"Puck Me Dead" releases March 10, 2026, and if you’re into fun, steamy reads, this whole series is a must.
With a title like Puck me Dead I was expecting more dark romance but this was absolutely the best palate cleanser I could ask for after the last few books I’ve read. I love this masked men series by Jaye Pratt, but I’ve loved everything I’ve read of hers. Hockey, RH and masks for everyone? Yes please! I’m not normally here for a second chance romance but this one didn’t give me the slimy/icky feeling that I normally get from that trope. Abby is adorable and absolutely my spirit animal with her adhd and anxiety issues. Also, love her on wine. The twins are great and I love them each for different reasons. Levi and Jagger crack me up and I love how everyone encourages that back and forth. Tate, wooo boy, I could take a whole nother couple hundred pages of that man & all of his glory! I know this isn’t his story but goodness gracious do I love Jagger and his antics. I was so happy to see them in this story as well.
