Abducted from Earth. Chased across the galaxy. Bound together by a child in danger.
Elementary school teacher Emma Carter never expected aliens to be real. She definitely never expected to find herself on the run with a dangerously attractive smuggler and a mysterious infant sought by some of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy.
Doren has spent years searching for a legendary treasure known as The Vault. Instead, he finds a stubborn human female, a child who needs protection, and an attraction that's becoming impossible to ignore.
With fanatical Grorn warriors closing in, Emma and Doren must work together to keep the infant safe and stay one step ahead of their enemies.
Because some treasures are worth far more than gold.
A sweet and spicy science fiction romance featuring a roguish alien hero, an abducted human heroine, found family, adventure, danger, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
The AA series ended with some dangling threads about The Vault and the keys that are needed to open it. What The Vault contains remains a bit of a mystery (miraculous and dangerous things left behind by an advanced, now-extinct race) and the Grorn are determined to get it so they can "remake the universe in their image." Which sounds like a bad time for anyone not Grorn, really.
Anywho. Emma was plucked from Earth, finds herself aboard an alien ship, and is destined for unpleasant things. Probably. Doren is a man on a mission. The mission being to find out what the Grorn are so interested in obtaining, NOT rescuing an abducted human woman and the sweet baby she finds when she attempts to escape. But for all his roguish ways, Doren has a heart. He can't leave Emma or the baby behind with their abductors.
So now he's on the run from the Grorn with a human he's way more attracted to than he expected to be and a baby who is more important than he ever could have guessed. Emma's just as much a survivor as he is and they're well matched in the sheer determination department. She also has a bit of an adventurous streak (although she probably thought otherwise before her abduction), so getting the chance to see the stars, meet aliens, and follow the clues on a legendary treasure is far more appealing than she expected it to be. Especially since she has someone to share it with.
New adventures, some not-so-great bad guys, a smuggler who knows a good catch when it stumbles across his path, and a lady who will fight to end to protect the people who matter to her. I'm VERY happy to have new adventures in this huge, sprawling universe.
Yay we are back in the Kaisarian universe and that's honestly one of my very favorite places to visit. The original series starting with Anna and the Alien is where I was first introduced to Honey Phillips and her exceptional world building and characters and I have not missed a book or a series since. A is for Abduction starts of with Emma waking up after being taken from Earth. She was an elementary school teacher used to dealing with spelling, recess and parent conferences. She's also stubborn and it matter how surreal her circumstances she's is not going to let the aliens who took her keep her. When the ship she's on falls to an attack she finds her salvation is Doren. Doren is an alien smuggler and adventurer. He's has a mission and he needs to find the ancient keys before the Form do. He doesn't sign up to rescue a human female and and ancient child, but he does and comes to realise the only treasure worth having is the family you build and the love you give and receive. The 3 of then explode into adventure, danger lurks at every turn old friends make appearances and a new enemy wants the wisdom and technology of the ancients but Doren and Emma aren't going to let them have it! Such a great first book in this new series! I can't wait to see where each new adventure will take us! Highly recommend🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟🔥
This is an excellent start to the new series. I love that some of the characters from the previous ABC series visit and help. Faith and Athtar in Faith and the Fighter. We learn about Doren , his past with a father who didn't want him and thought he was worthless. I love how Emma through time and patience lets him see who and more importantly that he is worthy. Worthy to love and be loved, That he does matter. He is a treasure hunter and smuggler. I love how he realizes that what he was looking for his whole life is right in front of him . Ari is a surprise. I love that she is special and has gifts no one knew about. And that Emma is very protective of her. Emma being a elementary school teacher has the wisdom and stubbornness to confront even the most intimidating people they meet. I love her spine when it comes to Ari's safety. And Doren's intentions. And that she rebuffs his compliments in the cutest ways. She also trusts her instincts which they need many times. POV of each , steam to the romance, suspense and intrigue also well written. Mysteries to uncover. Feeling to explore. A child to keep safe. And a future to explore.

Oh how I have loved being back in the Kaisarian universe with this first book in this new series from the author.
As always, Honey has a way to completely draw you into her world and trap you until the last page! I was completely hooked as I’ve been with every one of her books so far.
This continues a bigger series of events we uncovered in her previous series The Alien Abduction Series. The next book in this new series is continuing the story of two characters we’ve already met so it’s definitely worth starting with that series first to get the bigger picture! You’ll not regret it!
Doren was amazing from first appearing. Then poor Emma, her start to discovering her universe is a lot bigger than she imagined wasn’t the best…thankfully our two main characters paths crossed and their adventure began.
These two were just perfect for each other and I loved seeing them beginning to realise that with spicy scenes along the way!
We meet new characters and meet a few old ones which was great!
I really enjoyed the book, full of action, romance and spice. I was hooked from the first page and am eager to start the next which I saw continues the story of two characters I’ve been hoping we’d return to, so I’m excited they have their own book now!
Emma is determined to find a way out of the cell she’s been tossed into by these aliens who kidnapped her, then she’ll figure out the rest of the plan. But first things first, get out so she can do whatever comes next, no sitting here and letting life happen to her.
Doreen has spent years moving about the universe, a lone man with no roots, and few ties. Emma is about to challenge some of his core beliefs, not the least of which is if he’s cut out to be part of a family, and the life of someone who settles down and establishes roots.
I really enjoyed this kindle unlimited book. It is a fantastic adventure with fun characters. This is a little bit treasure hunt, a little bit Kessel Run, and a lot trying to keep something amazing out of the wrong hands. It all adds up to a great ride. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
4.5⭐️ Abduction ends up changing the trajectory of her life in the best way possible
I always enjoy Honey Phillips’ stories. This one wasn’t my favorite, but still really good. I enjoyed how both Doren & Emma learned to love and trust each other and themselves. I love how they both immediately went into protective mode with Ari and claimed her as their own. There was a lot of information in this story. I felt like it was setting up for more stories around “The Vault” in the future. It was steamy, but didn’t seem to have as many steamy scenes as others Honey has written. There were parts at the end that jumped into the future without stating it at the beginning of the chapter. We get a HFN in the epilogue.

Typical read divided into 3 parts, beginning, middle and the end. Typical for this writer the beginning and middle were great. The blurb about the book says it's just a feel good book but it was more than that. With a good book most readers want to know what happens "after" and this book was like that. A slice of life with characters that we grew to love, only it happened in the same book. Unfortunately the "end" of the book left a lot to be desired. It felt a lot like holiday traffic, sit and wait then move a head quickly, excitedly then another sit and wait wondering if you're ever going to get to your destination. Then at the very end you get to your final ending place and you swear you're going to leave earlier next time. It was like she wrote for word count and nothing else. If she is spreading the "Vault" adventure over all 26 books I may just pass them by.
This was a really fun start of a new series and I enjoyed getting to know Doren & Emma. The two of them made a really good couple and I loved how both of them were with Ari. Even though Ari is still a baby she is an entertaining character with her own important role in this story and I hope to see some more of her as well as Doren & Emma in future books. There were a few references to characters to other books by Honey Phillips that I haven't read yet that will probably be fun for readers who do recognize them since it's always nice to catch a glimpse of characters you liked and catch up on how they are doing. I look forward to continuing this series through the alphabet.
Steam Rating: Explicit and Plentiful 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Honey Phillips has again nailed it! I am so excited for this new series, this book is a hit. It is funny, action packed, suspense killed me sometimes (not going to lie), page turner as usual, found family, protective hero,
Doren, a smuggler and treasure hunter, infiltrates the ship to look for an important item called The Vault. Unfortunately, his mission has a couple of distractions he cannot ignore -
Emma is a 2nd grade teacher abducted from Earth. He admires her survival skills and unwillingness to give up. An infant called Ari - Emma sees something in her
His empathic heart will not let him let them suffer and he helps them, becoming a family.
I loved how she helps him undo the damage his father did - Doren is worthy and a great person.
This book had me hooked. I fell in love with the baby. Such a magical little thing. Doren is definitely a character you can love. there is so much more to him than you are first introduced to him. His character develops throughout the book along with his personality. And boys he’s shocked when he meets Emma. Emma, a school teacher from earth, and now a captive aboard an alien ship. And then she’s rescued by another alien, but not before she saves a silver baby. And there is way more to that baby. Reading this was one big adventure, the only thing was I felt I was left hanging a little bit. I definitely wish there had been another chapter with Emma having a baby. Ari as a big sister. It did have a happily ever after though.
I loved Emma and Doren they were so suited for one another. It’s nice that they felt the connection so soon in the story. Emma taught Doren how to love and trust in yourself. She was definitely a strong female who knew herself and was wise and Doren didn’t know he needed her. But for me the last few chapters felt rushed about the Vault and I got a little bored but the epilogue sped it up nicely. But I’m wondering does ‘The Vault’ adventure end here.
Honey, you’ve mentioned a few books that will tie in several characters and I checked and some I read 4-5 years ago. So I’m going to reread them not knowing for sure if I need to for your future ‘ABCs of Alien Abduction’. I’m just wondering!
The teacher and the explorer have an out of this world quest…
“I don’t deserve you,” he said. “Probably not.” She smiled, soft and warm. “But you’ve got me anyway. So you’d better get used to it.”
And so it begins… Brimming with action, acceptance, old friends, and achingly beautiful romance, this new series has it all!! When Emma is abducted by Ithyian slavers, things look bleak indeed. But Doren, spying on the ship to uncover the Grorn’s secrets and find the Vault (an object with unimaginable power), ends up saving her and Ari, an abandoned infant who is more than she seems. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!! I voluntarily reviewed an author provided ARC of this book.
A fantastic start to a new series! While A is for Abduction takes place in the same book universe as the Alien Abduction A-Z series and a few previous characters make an appearance, this can be read on its own without feeling lost.
Doren and Emma are so good together. He has a bit of a tragic past, and I loved watching Emma use her patience and stubborn protective streak to help him realize his own worth. The plot to find The Vault and uncover hidden secrets was a thrilling ride. Doren and Emma deal with fanatical warriors and discover that the real treasure isn't riches or power, but the family they choose and build together.
Only one other author has written books that have me totally invested in all of her characters and I love it! Stories of love when all was thought lost, unworthy, or unavailable only to find that nothing was lost, unworthy, or unavailable for such different characters in each book but basically all needing love and acceptance. Stories that catch your heart and set it alight. Stories that make you know there is still emotional and intellectual depth to be found in the world of today. I want to read all of her stories as quickly as I can but I must pace myself so as not to get to the end of them! This is a wonderful beginning to what I am sure will be a wonderful series!
Book 1 of The ABCs of Alien Abduction story of Elementary school teacher Emma Carter and Alien Treasure Hunter Doren. This one in intense and passion filled between these two and the baby they rescue and claim as their own. I loved how one small curvy human can stand up for her Alien and make him see her as more than just something to protect. I really enjoyed reading this one and hope to read more from this increditable world.

A fantastic start to a new series! A is for Abduction is a quick, entertaining read with a wonderful blend of romance and sci-fi elements. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Emma and Doren, and the discovery of the 'key' was such a sweet and truly surprising find! The side characters were so compelling that they already make me want to hunt down their stories. The book held my attention throughout, and if you're looking for a sweet and engaging romance with a fun alien twist, I definitely recommend checking this out.
A is for Abduction by Honey Phillips starts the new alphabet series whereby couple search for the Keys needed to unlock the Vault containing all the universe's secrets. Teacher Emma is a human kidnapped once by slavers and then freed by warrior Doren. All the time I was reading this the song “One Tin Soldier”kept playing in the background of my mind. The story wasn’t a “grabbed me from the first sentence” at least for me. But every time I put it down I found myself thinking about it. I liked the main characters. I liked the main story line. I found the background story to be present and made their decisions logical. I really enjoyed this book and would gladly recommend it to anyone interested in this genre.
This was a great start to a new series by Honey Phillips. Building on her previous “alphabetical” series it does not presuppose that the reader has any idea what happened in the first series but slightly gives a head nod to that series in order to make sense of this new series. This was a good story that combined a treasure hunt with a scavenger hunt both framed in a sci-fi framework. It was a quintissential adventure story with romantic nuances. Definitely worth the read!
Okay, I've been reading Honey Phillips stories for several years now and this one seems really deep. This journey with a Treasure hunting Alien, and a simple, good hearted woman kidnapped from Earth, somehow find each other caring for a silver infant, that a horrible species is determined to find so she, and 6 other species can unlock a vault of untold riches, power, knowledge and planet destroying weapons of destruction. I'm assuming this series will be each key is found and protected by the ones with human mates by their side? I guess we'll see. Trish. A
The delightful premier of a new series! A handsome rogue, a resilient, resolute woman, and a precocious infant; what a heart-warming combination. The adventures, the narrow escapes keep me glued to the book, while a sweet romance builds between Doren and Emma. I love every minute of this exciting story. I also enjoy seeing some familiar faces from another series set in this world. I’m hooked - can’t wait for the next book!
This was such a fun and witty series opener. Alien Doren and school teacher, Emma, find themselves in a unique position. She's been abducted and he's a treasure hunter... These two have quite the intense journey of rescuing a baby and deciding to keep to make their own family. So fun with the clear world building, fab characters, humour, emotions, mystery, suspense, adventure and spice as they journey to a wonderful HEA. Good fun!
Another grand slam got Honey! An abducted human, a baby hidden in a stasis pod and an alien rogue come together on a slaver ship. Emma didn’t know how boring her life was until she is “rescued” by Doren along with an alien baby she just happened to find. Chased by religious alien fanatics across the galaxy, finding new friends and falling in love, this couple keep you invested in their story. I loved it!
New series set in the same universe as many of her other series, especially the other abc alien series (starting with Anna and the alien). Great start. Does a good job of laying the path for the series. I loved the characters and the twist. Low angst between the couple, but lots of tension and action with an enemy that seems to be everywhere.
