Widowed single mom Jenna Wood wants to start over, so she buys an ostrich ranch and moves to New Mexico with her young daughter Andee. Flynn Sutton is a pilot who owns the nearby airpark where he rents space to fliers. He’s also Jenna’s tenant and he’s renting the upstairs of her new house. Romantic feelings develop between the two but Jenna is wary of getting too close to Flynn since her husband was also a pilot and he died in a plane crash.

This was a very enjoyable and heartwarming romance. The lead characters were very likable. The ostrich ranch added a uniqueness to the story. There was a bit of a mystery concerning someone who was causing trouble at the ostrich ranch. I adored Flynn’s lovable sheepdog, Beezer. I enjoyed Jenna, Flynn, and Andee’s trip to the carnival. All around, it was a very entertaining read.

Jenna Wood buys an ostrich ranch in New Mexico, eager to start her life over after her Air Force husband's death in a plane crash. She isn't sure he will be blamed for the crash or exonerated, but being anywhere near planes is not for her.

When Flynn, the man renting the house in town she now owns ends up having to bunk in with her when said house needs major repairs, she finds herself sharing space (but not her bed) with a man who loves to fly and owns an airpark for commercial planes. As he falls for her and she for him, she is uncertain whether she can commit to anything stronger than friendship, knowing how much he loves planes and wants to fly again, assuming he can pass the flight physical after his own war wounds are completely healed.

Complicating things further is 6-year-old Andee's love for both Flynn and his mutt, Beezer. Little Andee is certain Flynn will become her new daddy after she asks God to make it happen. Now what is Jenna to do? Especially after the air show crash convinces her that she cannot lose her heart to a man who loves to fly?
