Kira Golden needed a job, and just about anything would do. When she walked up the steps of the imposing Enkidu Industries building, she thought she'd just be interviewing for the receptionist position. She never expected to come face to face with a naked man.Parker Bernier is a world-famous entrepreneur, and he has the ego that goes with it. Nothing seems out of bounds for the handsome billionaire, and he's not afraid to do what it takes to have his way.
Ok. I sorta liked this. But I mostly didn't. I enjoyed the basic story line, even though it read more like a cheap porno with excessive drama. It was somewhat entertaining when you take out the character personalities and crap. Though I don't believe the book/story itself was well developed or had it's full potential brought out.
I didn't really like any of the characters to be honest. I did connect with Kira more than anyone. Mainly cause I once had my own string of shitty boyfriends. I could connect with her on that level, on that basic need to KNOW that you can trust the man you're with. That you'd do just about any silly thing to see the his true colors, even if it means breaking your own heart in the process. But that's it.
Overall I found everyone to be assholes. Yolanda is a horrible "BFF" For reals. Who pushes their best friend towards a man who purposely lied to them about being married and then broke her heart? Seriously! I'd have smacked Yolanda several times.
Then there's Asher. He's just an asshole. He's obviously just looking out for himself.
Parker is a dick. How can he NOT realize that he's been treating Kira like a hooker? You're paying her to come "massage" you an hour everyday, where you end up fucking her instead. Yet he claims he's never paid for sex. Guess what buddy, you paid for it everyday you screwed Kira at work.
Kira... I honestly don't think she deserved to end up with Parker. She's just as bad as Asher in my head. She purposely went behind Parker's back to find Veronica. Then stirred the pot. Forcing a big confrontation which probably not only irreparably damaged Veronica, but should have placed a big strain of Parker's trust in Kira.
Now Veronica- I get it. I really do. I have friends who had a hard time leaving abusive relationships. It's not easy and it's super scary. But come on. Is she really that stupid to think Parker would wait all this time for her?
Basically- everyone needs to grow the fuck up in this book. And that was what the biggest turnoff was for me. These are supposed to be adults, yet everyone acts like horny college freshmen.

Thank god I only paid a dollar for this one. The story was utterly weak. The characters were hollow. There was no passion. It was so boring. Hardly any emotion. Parker was like he didn't care one way or the other. He didn't fight for her or anything. What a waste.
The book flows well, but sometimes I didn't understand or I wasn't sure that the scene was believable. How can someone go in for an interview and end up getting a masseuse job and perform duties naked? Sorry, I can't connect the two. It was an okay read, justifying buy the next mixed up book.
Well Parker and kira story was really good I enjoyed it. Parker was a player and a very sexy sounding one at that. kira however was just trying to get herself a steady job and after stumbling into parkers office and getting a view she did not expect things move on from there. I love how the story was written too xx
In Mixed Up you will find how a little misunderstanding will lead to an explosive interview fueled by lust, hot massages, incredible sex, sarcastic moments, old relationships and in the end a HEA!
A little office romance? When Kira walks into the massage room for a receptionist interview and finds her potential employer naked and waiting, you know this is going to be an instalust story. Parker is a man who seems to get what he wants and when he sees Kira walk in by mistake, he decides then he wants her. Both of these characters had some issues that were not believable to me, and at the same time had some that I found very easy to relate to. Parker being the confident man he is had that frustrating feel at times, the kind you want to just smack him to make him talk. Kira held major insecurities, and while I understand her motivation for things, I don't think her tactics were always the best. With that being said, I love Corgan's way of taking these two characters and melding their story together. The finale is hot and sexy. I would love to see them pop up in future books to see where their life takes them.
This is my first Smokey St Clair narration, and I loved him! I think that he acted out this story wonderfully. The pace was perfect and the characters easily distinguishable. His female voice for Kira is great, a feat that is not always easy for a male narrator. I will be looking for future narrations by him.
Audiobook version: I was a little torn on this one as i normally enjoy Sky's books easily. I had a hard time with the characters. I found Kira's character hard to root for. I found her wish-washy, whiny and childish at times. The story just didn't feel like what i have come to expect from Sky. Minus the sex- it felt like a high school relationship. Secret girl friends, Facebook stalking, messaging exes, manipulating situations to see if he likes her..
That being said, i have many other Sky books and will not hesitate to read them. It may not be my favorite book but it wasn't like i couldn't finish it. This one just didn't speak to me personally.
Narration: I was quite surprised that a male was cast to narrate a book written from a female POV. It was good narration however it did effect my immersion and connection with the story. I think i would have connected better with a female narrator however the narration was decent.
I wasn't a fan of this book. I'm not trashing it,...It's just not for me. I didn't like the characters. Any of them really. Parker never really showed any emotion. I didn't connect with him at all. I thought he was a complete jerk the whole book. Kira....She was just childish and naive, and a little weak to be honest. She didn't stand up for herself like she should have. Like people should when presented with the situations that Kira was. She let Parker be a complete douche and she just let it slide as soon as she saw him again. Eye roll. And Yolanda, Kira's BFF? That girl needed throat punched multiple times. How she was "Best Friend" material, is beyond me. She was a rude, uncaring, and disregards Kira's feelings at every turn.
This book, truthfully, was horrible. I'll definitely read another book by this author just to see if this was a one time thing. But This one...it was a disaster, and I feel bad saying that about something someone worked hard on.
I really went into this expecting to like it. Instead, it just left me disturbed and depressed. I didn't like any of the characters. The whole situation was a sexual harassment suit waiting to happen. She has no self esteem, or self control. He's supposed to be a successful business man, but routinely has massages, in which he (at work,) greets them naked, and then has them nude while they massage him... He asks her fantasy, she tells him, "rape." He, "role plays," "rape," with her. None of their sexual encounters were enjoyable. They end up together, but I never felt any real connection, or love between them. Can't recommend reading this. It left me cold.
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The beginning of the story seemed pretty far fetched, but entertaining. I understand chemistry, but Kira seemed to be pretty naive at times and not too bright. However, the book did keep my interest. In my opinion the narrator did not do a very good job with the female parts. He just sounded like a male with a proclivity to be female. Although it took away from the book, I was able to distinguish the characters.
This was my first Sky Corgan's audiobook. This is a short story. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to connect with the characters, but the story is funny and sexy. There are a lot of steamy scenes. The narration was good for the male voice and easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
Mixed Up by Sky Corgan was a great read. Kira walked into an interview only expecting to interview for a receptionist position. She doesn't expect what happens next with Parker. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Sky Corgan.
The story line was interesting, but it just wasn't my thing. I feel there could have been more done to it. The narration was distracting. The story is told from the female POV but is narrated by a man.
DNF. Jaajajajajajajajaj el inicio es tan irrealista( la historia en si lo es) no pienso seguir leyendo. Esta historia parece que esta hecha para una película porno.
Kira is a slightly bitter young woman down on her luck financially and in love who meets the very sexy Parker during an ummm unconventional job interview to say the least after all I've never been interviewed by a hot guy sans clothing, you? I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this for an honest review before it went live. I knew it would include an Alpha so I was already excited. My excitement grew when what started out as fun, sexy, HOT read turned into a book I couldn't put down with characters I had become vested in. Don't get my wrong the book was still hot (fanning myself) but my empathy for Kira surprised me and thank goodness I was reading at home since I know I growled at my kindle a few times on her behalf!! I'm sure some might comment that the events that unfold after the interview are unbelievable or not realistic and to those people I say there's a reason they call it fiction....it's fantasy it's supposed to allow the reader to escape and well let's face it it wouldn't be as hot if it was more realistic ;-)
My only "complaint" would be Yolanda the supposed best friend that made me want to dump a drink over her head on more than one occasion....with friends like that who needs enemies? My impression was one of jealousy and misery wanting company not to mention questionable actions at times where it felt like she was pouring salt into wounds. I hope Kira's next adventure will be to find some girlfriends who lift her up and cheer her on instead :-) Overall though a good book and I look forward to reading more from Sky Corgan!
I really loved this story. I really connected with the basic story & characters personalities. Granted, I don't know many people who would do what Kira does to get a job but that's what happens in erotic romance. Their emotions are raw which is what makes it so easy to connect with them. I love getting so wrapped up in characters & the story that I can't put it down. When Kira finds out her new guy, Parker, is best friends with the man, Asher, who crushed her heart that throws her for a loop. Finding this out at Christmas party is worse. Asher sees her & goes right over to put his arms around her. He wants her back. She runs to Parker to tell him but Asher shows up right behind her. When Parker finds out that his best friend was the last relationship she had he has a hard time wrapping his head around it & walks off to attend his guests. Kira doesn't care because she just wants to get out of there. Needless to say this is where everything gets interesting, especially the emotions, because the sex was hot from the start. I really like this author & have read some of her books. I definitely recommend this book.
When a interviewee gets confused for the massage therapist for the head of the company, you know there's going to be trouble. Follow the main characters as they discover sex with each other, heartache, and eventually a HEA. This book is part fantasy, part real-life in some regards, and sometimes seems a little out there. The story does go a little off-topic a bit, and I found myself shaking my head at some of the antics the female lead would do for attention. Overall, however, the book is a very steamy, interesting, and often heart-felt read.
I received an ARC copy for an honest review. Wow, sizzling! Sky Corgan did it again with another great book. This is one that will hold your attention to the very end. This book is a stand alone. But it does leave you wanting to read more of Sky Corgan's stories. Kira is late to her interview and therefore mistaken for another person. When she walks in there stands Parker, naked and expecting a massage.... Read the book to find out what happens!
5 Star Kindle Unlimited Read There is a reason Sky Corgan is on the top seller's list. This author can make sizzle while laughing hysterically.
The question begs, now would I want to be in this characters shoes?? Hell's yes, as long as I get the figure as well.
It about time to visit Texas, and find out from Corgan just where these naughty clubs are she gets inspiration from. The one we have in Georgia is a joke. LOL
** I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review **
At first I wasn't sure what to think of this book when I started reading the opening paragraphs. But wow, was I pleasantly surprised! Parker is an odd duck, that is for sure. But Kira is hysterical. She really is a smart girl who isn't afraid to use her womanly wiles to charm her way through anything...lol.
Super entertaining and sizzling! Kira desperately needs a job but when the interviewer shows up naked she's not sure this is the job for her! But he is one hot billionaire so maybe.... You'll love this story!
