PHOENIXMy club is in ruins, burned to the ground by men I trusted. Ironic, considering my real name is Phoenix and I’m standing in the ashes of the life I built piece by piece. I thought wearing the crown would be easier than fighting for it. I was wrong. Rebuilding means digging through the wreckage, unpicking old loyalties, and dealing with the mess left behind.
All it takes is an address scrawled on a scrap of paper to drag my brothers and me straight back toward war.
Keeley is a problem I don’t need, but she’s tied to everything that could rip my chapter apart before it ever has a chance to heal.
Walking away would be easier. Safer. But I didn’t claw my way to the top to become the kind of president who leaves innocent people to burn.
KEELEY
My brother betrayed me in the worst way possible. I don't expect to be rescued by the man who killed him. Nic is dangerous, controlled, and I'm standing in the eye of the storm brewing in his club. The men who took me want me back, and staying under Nic's protection means stepping deeper into a world I never wanted to be a part of. I don't trust him, but if I leave, I won't come out of this alive.
So I stay.
I trade one cage for another, even though I'm not sure I'll survive this either. And I learn that there's a reason Nic is called Phoenix.
Because standing beside him means rising out of the fire or becoming ash.
All books in the Untamed Sons universe can be read as standalones, but are better enjoyed read in order. This is a dark romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. It does have some strong language, graphic violence and content that might be triggering.
That is exactly what Phoenix is doing for the Untamed Sons MC Birmingham Chapter after it was torn apart. As club President he is building the club up from the ashes of what it was left in. This story is definitely another five star read for me from this author with its darkness and its grittiness.
Keeley, heartbreakingly has gone through so much at the hands of her brother, it was Phoenix who was by her side because he knew that this woman was something special to him. Their book was intense and had many twists and turns that made this a huge page turner. This is a book that I highly recommend as well as the other books in the Untamed Sons MC Birmingham series.
This series keeps getting better and better. Still trying to recover from the betrayals Phoenix, the President of the Untamed Sons MC has his work cut out for him.
When he finds Keeley locked in a cage he knows down to his bones he needs to protect her. A complication he and the club cannot afford. If you have been reading this series you know these men don’t love easily but when they do, well it is something to see and Phoenix and Keeley’s story is no different.
This club has faced more than it should have to let’s see who gets out of this installment in one piece.
A great addition to this series and a wonderful book.
Couldn’t put this one down. It’s gritty, angsty and Nic (Phoenix) is growly. Loved seeing the previous characters and loved how the world story is moving forward. This book is dark and has dark themes so check your TWs, but if you are good with them, you need to read this one.
This couple were destined to be with one another. It started by a chance encounter that led them down a path of destruction before they could get to their happily ever after.
I always love it when the heroes all in before he actually realizes that he's all in lol. This story was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster ride with lots of action, but make sure you check The trigger warnings if you are a sensitive reader. I'm loving this Untamed Sons chapter and I can't wait for more!
I loved reading about the love that Phoenix found. both had problems piling up around them. but Phoenix was willing to go the extra mile to make sure that his sunshine was safe and sound. The plot and characters added to the story making this a good read. 5 stars given for this read.
If you have followed this club, you have seen them battle hard against internal betrayals and external forces trying to decimate them, any way possible. King is still recuperating (IYKYK) and while they're down to the brothers that are true to the patch, memories of the recent past are still very fresh.
Ravage chose well when he tapped Phoenix to be president, but the pressure of that position weighs heavily on his shoulders. Every decision made affects his brothers, but also their wives and children. Which is why Keeley is definitely a problem the club doesn't need, but Nic is hit with the need to protect (and ultimately claim) her, and as we know - not much can dissuade these guys when they have found their woman.
My fingers furiously flipped these pages, as the intensities of the situations increased, and the suspense of what was coming next kept me on the edge of my seat most of the read. I definitely lost sleep over this story, but you won't hear me complaining!! :) I absolutely love the relationships between these characters, and how they function as a group. Mace, Riot, and Dash (along with the others) are exactly what Nic needs to face this latest challenge, and their women (especially Dayna's sass) is exactly what Keeley needs.
This story and this series has everything we love from this author's creative mind: *Guys that will do whatever is necessary to ensure the safety of their club and their partners/children. *Women who support each other and their men - without question. *Bloodshed, betrayals, violence, suspenseful situations, retribution, tested club loyalties. Soo Good!! *Character and club crossovers. *A steamy connection between this couple, and a HEA (for now) for the couple and the club.
I have been a fan of this author for many years now, and am very addicted to the multiple USMC series. Each chapter has battled their own dramas and protected their members, but when needed, will always support another chapter, and I recommend reading in order so that the connections and histories align and elevate your reading experience. Start with the man, the myth, the legend - Ravage! Absolutely worth your time to binge these series (IMO).
I loved this one and recommend this author. I cannot wait for more from her. I was fortunate to receive an ARC (thank you) and happily leave my thoughts.
Phoenix: Untamed Sons MC: Birmingham Chapter by Jessica Ames is everything I love about MC romance: raw, emotional, and completely consuming, but what truly sets it apart is the depth of healing and patience woven into Keely and Phoenix’s story.
Keely’s journey is not a quick fix, and that’s what makes it hit so hard. She’s been betrayed in a way that shatters her sense of safety, autonomy, and trust, and Ames doesn’t gloss over that trauma. You feel it in every hesitation, every instinct to run, every moment where survival outweighs hope. Watching her slowly untangle that pain, learning that not every man is her brother, not every situation is a trap, is both heartbreaking and incredibly powerful. Her healing isn’t linear, and it isn’t easy, but it feels real.
And then there’s Phoenix (Nic), who might honestly be one of the most patient MMCs I’ve read in a long time. He could push. He could demand. But he doesn’t. Instead, he gives Keely something she’s never truly had, choice, space, and consistency. His restraint speaks louder than any grand gesture. He understands that trust isn’t something he can claim, it’s something she has to give, piece by fragile piece. And the way he waits for her, protects her without suffocating her, and proves himself over and over again? That’s where this story really shines.
Their relationship is built in the ashes; of betrayal, of loss, of a club trying to rebuild, and that symbolism is just chef’s kiss. Keely learning to rise from what was done to her while Phoenix rebuilds everything he’s lost creates this beautiful parallel that makes their connection feel earned.
This isn’t just a gritty MC romance, it’s a story about survival, trust, and what it takes to heal when everything in you says not to. Emotional, intense, and deeply satisfying.

Nic is going over his club's books and discovers deals that were hidden. If the old prez was still alive he'd kill him again. He found a piece of paper with an address. He has it being watched. Then he goes to find out why the dead Prez had that address. There he finds a girl in a cage. Keeley wakes and is groggy and hurting. Then Nic enters and gets info out of her. She's the sister of the man who betrayed the club. Keeley is reeling from not only her injuries but from the fact that this club is an enigma. She is afraid that her brother, Blade, will come back to do something to her. Nic is keeping her there until he figures out what her brother had been up to and what Crank the old Prez was doing. Will they get the answers he needs and will he figure out why he feels so different when near her. Then the danger becomes up close and real and lives are on the line. This is an intense story about two people who start as antagonists and slowly merge into something more. The psychology is intense.

Phoenix the president of the MC is still trying to figure out how much trouble his former club members have caused for his club after they betrayed them. He goes to a house looking for answers but instead he finds a girl nearly dead, locked in a cage. He brings her back to the clubhouse to get some answers and to look after her till she recovers,he finds out she’s the sister of one of the club members that betrayed him. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for her. Keeley loves her brother but hates him for all the times he gets into trouble and she has to bail him out, but drugging, beating and selling her is the last straw, she’s rescued by some of his club brothers and finds herself falling for Nic but she has major trust issues, they are also dealing with corrupt police officers, and the man her brother sold her to who will do anything to get her. Action, betrayal, love and all the characters we know and love are all here. Highly recommend this book, series and author 🖤❤️
What a powerful, keep you on the edge of your seat, unreal story! From the moment I started reading, I was hooked. I love this series and couldn’t wait to read about Nic aka Phoenix, the President of the Untamed Sons MC (Birmingham Chapter). Each story in this series is intense and completely brings me into their world. But this one? Wow! I swear my heart stopped a few times. When Nic finds a young woman, Keeley, in a dangerous situation, he feels he must protect her. But why? He doesn’t know her, but the attraction is instantaneous and he feels it in his soul that she belongs to him. Keeley has gone through some rough times and she is hesitant to trust Nic, but I knew in my heart and soul that these two are perfectly imperfect for each other. She’s sassy and sweet and definitely keeps Nic on his toes. But he will fight through fire for her, and when an outside force threatens her, Nic is bound and determined to keep her safe. I have to say that this author has such an incredible way with words, characters and a brilliant storyline. I literally devoured this story and didn’t want it to end. I fell in love with Nic & Keeley and could read about them forever.
Nic is so gentle with Keeley from the very first moment, his protective instinct kicked in and just kept increasing. Keeley was shell shocked, betrayal sat heavy that it was her brother. Now she just wants to be safe and keep safe those who didn't know her but stepped up for her despite that. Blade I honestly wanted him to suffer more than he did after reading this, he got off lightly. Full of traumatic scenes that are scary and quite literally had me holding my breath, the fear for those I've come to love was real, would they all survive! Family isn't always blood and especially in this story, Keeley just wanted them all safe. Her and Nic had a connection that goes so deep they don't breathe unless they are touching, that's romance. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Action-packedHauntingHappily Ever AfterOriginalPage-turnerRomanticRealisticScaryTear-jerkerTwistedUnpredictableWittyWonderful characters
This book is a powerful, edge-of-your-seat read that immediately captures your attention. From the very first page, I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down. The story centers around Nic, also known as Phoenix, the President of the Untamed Sons Motorcycle Club. When he discovers Kelley, a young woman in a perilous situation, Nic's protective instincts kick in, and their connection is instant and intense.
The chemistry between Nic and Kelley is undeniable, and their relationship unfolds with both passion and vulnerability. The narrative is deeply emotional and raw, tackling themes of danger, loyalty, and redemption. The author does an exceptional job of drawing readers into the characters’ struggles and triumphs, making you feel every twist and turn along the way.
Overall, this story is not only suspenseful but also heartfelt, leaving a lasting impact. If you enjoy romance with high stakes and authentic, complex characters, this book is an absolute must-read.
PHOENIX is a five-star read. It’s riveting. Elevator pitch: the Untamed Sons, Birmingham Chapter, are dealing with the aftermath of the Unaliving of the former president and of Blaze. They find a mystery address, and when they get there, they find Keeley in a cage. Thoughts: I thought the book had a clever twist on the Captor and Captive trope. Nic (club prez) was honestly protecting her, but she wanted to leave. Nic wouldn’t let Keeley leave because she was in real danger. So it was also the Protector trope blended in. I love it when authors have something innovative to say about standard tropes. Cat’s Stats Heat- mostly closed door but discussed afterwards. Bechdel test- passed Safety? Y Triggers- graphic violence, child endangerment. Tropes- Club Prez, He Falls First, Captor and Captive, Protector, Lockdown.

Nic has always been there but a little quieter, a brilliant supporting character and a president that leads with his heart and a true sense of brotherhood. Quietly, with heart and the trust of his loyal brothers. But heavy is the head that wears the crown and whilst everyone can see it, it takes Keeley to really “see” Nic.
Keeley is an equally quietly strong. Brought up with a brother who made her life hell, she couldn’t have imagined how far he would go but even when rescued she fought for herself and refused to be a side character in her own life
Jessica writes characters I NEED to read about, she brings depth to not only the characters but also the world she has so beautifully built around them
I adore the Untamed Sons (even if I have to read the books to myself and imagine an American accent because Brummie feels just wrong 🫣🤣).

This was a struggle to get through…which is hard for me to say, because I really looked forward to this last addition to the Birmingham chapter. Nic was a great guy and Kelley was likable enough, but the black cloud hanging over this MC did not clear until the epilogue.
This MC has had a rough go with Crank and Blade leading them down a dark path, and I thought with them taken care of in the last book, that better days were ahead in this one. Wrong! 99% of this story was stressful, starting with Keeley in a cage and ending with a Russian oligarch (whom supposedly owned half of London🙄) doing everything in his power to get her back. The drama was farfetched and dragged out until it was quickly resolved. It was hard to believe Kane was able to do what he did and also, how is this MC running Birmingham when they only seem to have 6 members?
He is there to clean up the mess, a traitor to his club left. The last thing he expects is to find a girl in a cage. And when he pulls her out, there is something that draws him to her that he can’t explain. He just knows she is his and he will burn down the world for her. She is there because of her brother her own brother used to as leverage to secure his debt. Unfortunately, the people he owes aren’t the kind to stop at his death and they are coming for her. She feels safe with this MC president in a way she has never felt before and when he looks at her, she melts.. this one is a slow burn as he takes care of her after her trauma and slowly builds a relationship. When they come together, they are fire. They have to overcome some club, drama, spiraling circumstances, and some demons from the past. They have spice, chemistry, and a happily ever after.

The USMC Birmingham have finally overthrown the rot within their club, but that doesn't mean their troubles are over. Now they've got to figure out just what kind of mess their old president got them into. Exploring a off the books warehouse Phoenix finds Keeley, who's been beaten and locked in a cage. Phoenix feels an instant connection to her, even when he discovers who her brother is. There is a lot of angst in this story. Keeley wants to go home and know many of the Sons and their old ladies are not happy with her brother, but heck, neither is she. Phoenix has the weight of the club on his shoulders, but with Keeley he feels as if there is someone there for him. I loved how these two supported each other and their burgeoning relationship with each other and how that worked with the club. Initially it was Phoenix proving he could be trusted, but it ended with Keeley proving herself. And I loved their HEA.
Recovering from the mess that Crank and Blade has left they find a warehouse that Blade was interested in. When they investigate they are horrified to discover a woman, Keeley, in a cage, battered and bruised. Keeley is Blade's sister and when Phoenix discovers what Blade had planned for her he is disgusted. Trapped at the clubhouse Keeley is unaware of the true danger that she is in but Phoenix is determined to protect her from the man who is adamant that Keeley is his to sell, Morozov. With Morozov wanting the Birmingham territory and Keeley, the club will need to pull together to keep their family safe and end the threat that Morozov has become. Jam-packed with drama, steam, twists and turns, I had to read this in one sitting. It was great to see them pull together after everything that has happened. Jessica has definitely smashed it with Phoenix and I wish I could give it 10 stars.
In Phoenix, the Birmingham chapter of the Untamed Sons MC is trying to recover from the disaster caused by the old MC president. Nic (Phoenix), as the new president, is struggling with the responsibility of saving the MC so that the MC members and their families have a safe place to land. In the midst of this cleanup, Nic finds Keeley locked in a cage in an abandoned building. Nic finds himself drawn to Keeley and wants to protect her. Meanwhile, Keeley discovers that there are people she can trust and rely on.
I really like that Keeley is the one person that Nic can relax with and just be himself. She gives Nic a shoulder to lean on. Nic shows Keeley that she is a strong person, worthy of love. In the midst of the chaos surrounding the MC, Nic and Keeley have found a love worth fighting for.
I loved the story and am so glad that Nic has found his happy ending with Keeley and that Keeley has someone she can cherish but also has a found family.
This is another intense installment to the series and it showcases a fab parallel between the struggles Phoenix faces as the newly minted Prez and the responsibilities that affect everyone in the club, including old ladies and kids, and Keeley, having to rebuild herself after escaping the literal cage she was in when she met Phoenix. These two do not start out on the same side of the fence, with her brother being the one that betrayed the MC... Phoenix connecting so strongly to Keeley opens more trouble to the MC but he knows she's meant to be his. Resilience, trust and survival themes thrive in this gritty read and I was on and off the edge of my seat, throughout. Expect to be glued to your reader, to the point of losing sleep ;P, with all the action, suspense, drama, danger, emotions and hot romance as these two work their way to a fab HEA. So good!
I absolutely loved Nic aka Prez's story. When he became the Prez he also inherited all the baggage that previous one left behind even debts he had. When he found Keeley he had no idea that her brother had used her as insurance to cover a debt if he didn't pay. He is bound and determined to keep her safe and take down the man coming for her. All she sees herself being is a liability to everyone in the clubhouse so she tries to leave. When the unthinkable happens Keeley will do anything to get Nic back including giving herself up. This book is fantastic, I loved it. I loved Nic and how he showed her how special she was and how devoted he was to her. If you like action, suspense, angst, loyalty and love then this book is for you. I highly recommend this book, it is so good.
Trouble seems to cling to the Sons, but this time, now the storm of Crank and Blade has settled, Phoenix is trying to restore law and order as the new President. Yet the dead still manage to create chaos and Keeley is the victim of her brother's betrayal, which the club now need to protect. The Russian's grasp for control is deep and his wealth is his power to do it. Mayhem rains down and Keeley is collateral, central to the Russian and to the Club. Defend and protect but it is not easy and danger covers them all. I would like to learn what eventually happens to Bird..perhaps in another book and I hope it is harsh because I like it when the bad guys get comeuppance, especially by retaliation from one very angry, President in love with his woman.

They met when he pulled her out of a cage, that her brother put her in as collateral for a business deal he was doing behind the clubs back. He is becoming protective of her, but she wants to escape and go back to her normal life, he isn’t having it. They navigate their newness of their combined world, and it’s not as easy as they want it to be. The person her brother tried to sell her to is putting pressure on the club to turn her over so he can resale her for a profit. This makes the main male lead really mad and he declares war on the person who wants to sell her. Together they navigate their world and their feelings that are growing stronger by the day, until everything comes to a head and blows up. They rebuild and move forward with their lives and their love continues to grow and so does the club.
This is Nic "Phoenix" and Keeley's consuming, fast-paced journey. Rising from the ashes is exactly what this club is doing. Cleaning up huge messes, reorganizing everything from the ground up, all thanks to Crank. This story is very emotional and raw. It's gritty and intense and from start to finish had me on the edge of my seat, biting nails and praying Crank could come back just so he could done in again. Keeley has been through so much it's completely heartbreaking. But through it all Nic and Keeley build a life. She stands by his side in everything. As the club strengthens, so does their relationship. Phoenix is a great story with all the feels and the characters are perfection!
Nic and Keeley’s story pulls you in right from the start. As the new MC president, Nic is determined to clean up the chaos left behind by a rogue predecessor, but he doesn’t expect to cross paths with Keeley—nor to feel such an instant, undeniable connection. Keeley, caught in a dangerous situation after being used as collateral for her brother’s deal, finds both safety and something more in Nic.
Their chemistry is intense and immediate, set against a backdrop of danger, tension, and high-stakes club life. With plenty of steam, action, and emotional moments, this story keeps the pages turning. A gripping and exciting read—I highly recommend it.

"With great power comes a fucking headache." Is how Nic (new president of the Untamed Sons MC, Birmingham chapter) begins this story. He and the men he trusts are having to rebuild their chapter and the hits keep coming. What kind of MC brother keeps his sister in a dog cage in an empty basement? So many secrets and back-alley dealings happened under the previous president. Now, finding Keely, Nic proved why he was voted in as the new Birmingham chapter.
Nic and Keely getting to their happy ending was a page turner for me. I had a very hard time setting this book aside to be a responsible adult. You should read all the Birmingham Chapter books in order for the most enjoyment of this series.

A gritty, action-packed MC romance with loads of tension. Phoenix (Nic) is rebuilding his club after betrayal, and Keeley gets dragged into the chaos in a way she never expected.
Her brother Blade didn’t just betray the Sons, he betrayed her too, leaving her as insurance for Morozov a wannabe Ogliarch for the Bratva. It’s Nic and his brothers who pull her out of that nightmare and are now the ones protecting her from him taking her.
Really liked how protective Nic was of Keeley, and the brotherhood between the Birmingham and Manchester chapters stood out too.
If you’re into darker biker romances with strong loyalty and high stakes, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

Becoming the new President of the Untamed Sons : Birmingham Chapter is by no means easy ride for Phoenix. With everything that has happened, he’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders, bless him. But he is definitely the man for the job.
Everybody is still trying to get their head around the betrayals and rebuild what they can of the club. So much uncertainty. Are they still in danger? Who can be trusted?
Phoenix is leaving no stone unturned in his search for all the shady deals done behind the club's back. That’s how he finds Keeley, something just clicks with these two. He should be wary, but he wants to protect her. He wants her safe and will do whatever it takes.
I adored this couple. Their story was another fantastic addition to this series.
Wow, what a wild ride! I have read the other novels in this series and loved them. I was excited to jump back into this series and it did not let me down. From the first chapter I was sucked right back into this series and it didn't let go until the very last page. I was on the edge of my seat reading. I could not put this novel down. My heart hurt for Keeley and all she had been thru with her brother. I loved Phoenix and Keeley together. Their chemistry was intense. I loved that Phoenix fell first. I loved watching their walls and defenses come down and open their hearts to each other despite the risk. Once I started reading I could not put this novel down. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. Loved it! Such a wild ride!
Shit. The. Bed!!! That has just become my new favourite saying! #iykyk Anywho, if you haven’t read this series so far, you will know how the last book ended. If you haven’t, I HIGHLY recommend that you do!! Nic is still putting out fires and shit is piling up quicker than he and the brothers can shovel it! And then he finds Keeley!! Holy shit, I have been on my last nerve as I have made my way through this book. I literally could not put this down, my heart in my mouth! Whoever underestimates the Sons, are fucking idiots! When you have brotherhood, family and loyalty, you will stop at nothing to keep that safe. And that ending?! A truly amazing read!!!
