Ya’ll I say this every time I do a review in this world…it’s DaR’s world, we’re all just living in it. And guess who makes an appearance in this book…just one guess. Yup, my DaR, and quite a few others from that series, like my Scout. Anyway, before I drone on and on about DaR, Scout and that series, let’s get into this book. Ya’ll saw that lickable cover, right? As I’m fanning myself…whew seriously hot. Anyway, this is the fast and ornery brother who really does have a way with the ladies. And that is exactly how his mate sees him for the first time, not his finest moment, but in his defense they had never met before because she keeps to herself, and does not go to any functions since the brothers have been back. Anyway, once he smells her, he knows she’s his, now he has to find her and try to convince her to let him make her his forever, but she’s great at hiding…luckily he will stop at nothing to get his precious little morsel mate. When EvO, ViN and Scout show up for the humans, after tracking Bikar’s inquiry, everything really escalates, and the story dynamic really changes as these two series collide and merge together. Like what I did there…subtle, I know.

A great and emotional storyline, with some of my favorite characters from two series, and we get some time with Destiny, which I also loved, and gain some new favorites like Kristen who is hilarious about her crush on Rafe. I loved that these two series finally came together, and with it a fast paced wild ride with a very touching and emotional moment with my Commander DaR and Falon, it had me tearing up, and it really was everything in this book. An ornery fast sexy orc and his little morsel of a mate that isn’t putting up with his wild shenanigans and not overly susceptible to his charms. Falon is very very good at groveling, and thankfully he also has the backup from everyone else on mates, and how that works in their world, and how precious they really are. He really did need that backup, and the fact that he would do anything, absolutely anything for his precious little morsel mate was sweet and endearing. To new beginnings, and I look forward to the next books in both the series.

Falon is one of the good guys

This book is about Ruk brother named Falon. He is a bit jaded because his brothers have been lucky enough to find their mates, but he has not . Falon tries to keep his mind occupied with adult fun activities. I am a fan of the DaR universe, the author JJM, and now of this accompanying Ruk brothers series. I like the DaR family and their mission. The last book featured Ruk brother Murgul; please read it first if possible because that storyline builds what occurred to make this crossover happen. The brothers are trying to settle underground and it is challenging with the human female and some mates. Out of the blue their brother Bikar received a message from SCOUT, yes Commander DaR’s. Even though the Ruk brothers are space pirates, they really are the good guys and are fighting to survive in their harsh realities. There is a happy ending for Falon and this story. Read On!

Wonderful story!

This one was kinda different from the other brothers stories. I'm assuming this bleeds into another series from the Brigands of Rum series Maybe something to do with the Commander DaR. I have a feeling that series must already be out, since all of the wildly different characters we meet on the spacecraft are well established, with stories of their own. Fallon was unique, but like his brothers, once he scented his mate, nothing else was as important. Edie fought against his claim, since she walked in on him servicing 2 women, at the same time. There was no way she's going near a man-whore. Of course that was his way of trying to find some kind of connection, like his brothers had. Great adventure, and a fun, and steamy read. Great HEA. A Brigands of Ruk meet the House of DaR

This was another cute tale where the final Ruk son who was genetically tortured and altered meets a human female Edie in the planet they landed in after Earth’s destruction. Falon was a bit of a man white because that is the culture for single Ruk’s until he accidentally touched Edie who is not interested in staying in the mountain so he stows away with the warriors from DaR finally getting Rick’s wife Ginger on the way to meeting her separated husband.

It was so satisfying to see the crossover of the House of DaR and the Brigands of Ruk! I enjoyed watching Falon go from a cocky 'man-whore' to a devoted mate willing to sacrifice everything for his 'Little Morsel.' Edie really gave him a hard time but after everything she had been through, I understand her need to protect her heart. This is definitely a series worth reading!

the Ruk and the Human

A emotionally wounded human female and tortured Ruk male find each other. The path is crooked and dangerous. But, almost losing her mate reminds the human that the future can far outweigh the past and the past doesn’t have to shadow the future. A very happy ending
