A patient just confessed to murder in my ER.

He said his powerful family buried the evidence and he couldn't bear the guilt anymore.

I reported, just like he asked.

But then his family came for me…

This morning, I came home to find my apartment door wide open, and everything inside has been destroyed.

I'm looking at the wreckage when I hear footsteps behind me, and someone growls, "Don’t go in there."

I turn around to see my firefighter neighbor standing behind me, still in his uniform.

He moves past me into the apartment, and returns just moments later holding my cat against his chest.

He growls,

"You're staying with me.”

This was romance at its absolute finest—a slow burn so intense you’re practically begging someone to strike a match and set it ablaze 🔥❤️‍🔥

I was holding my breath the entire time 😮‍💨, just waiting for them to finally see it, say it, claim it 💭💋 That kind of love—the one you’re terrified to feel but crave with everything in you 🖤—was written all over them.

Being independently strong can be its own kind of loneliness 🥀… the kind you learn to live with, even as you secretly ache for more 💔✨ And these two? Whew 😩 Their friendship 🤝, their strength 💪, their insecurities 😶‍🌫️—it all built into this quiet, aching love that was screaming beneath the surface the whole time 📣❤️

And when it finally came out? It wasn’t soft or hesitant—it was loud 🔊, undeniable 💯, and fearless 🛡️🔥 The kind of love that says I’ll risk everything, lose everything, just to make sure you’re okay 🫶🏽💞

This wasn’t just a love story—it was yearning 😭, it was growth 🌱, it was vulnerability wrapped in strength 🖤✨

A sweet, consuming romance that I didn’t just read… I devoured 📖🔥❤️‍🔥

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)

Vowed by Hannah Sparks is a gripping blend of romantic suspense and high-stakes drama that pulls you in almost immediately.

The story opens with a morally intense situation—a doctor dealing with a patient’s murder confession—and quickly escalates into something far more dangerous. The tension builds fast, and the sense that the main character is being watched or targeted keeps the pacing tight and engaging.

The firefighter neighbor adds a compelling layer to the story. He’s protective, intense, and carries that slightly dark, possessive energy that will either completely hook you or feel a bit overwhelming depending on your taste in romance. Their dynamic is charged and intriguing, especially as the danger around them grows.

The writing is smooth and easy to get through, with a fast pace that makes it a page-turner. It leans into dramatic moments and emotional intensity, which works well for the genre, though at times it can feel a little heightened.

Overall, Vowed is a strong pick if you enjoy suspenseful romance with protective, alpha-type characters and a constant undercurrent of danger. It’s addictive, dramatic, and definitely keeps you turning the pages.

Mediocre

I was really hoping this book would be better than the first. With regards to the duplicated sentences throughout. At one point the dad came in to offer help to the daughter and the book ended up totally not making sense because the dads voice was cracking when he said "please". Except he didn't say please. He said please the next page. Then the whole paragraph was doubled up and eventually he said please.

The author seriously needs an editor or a group of friends to read before publishing. I was hoping the other book was a fluke but it doesn't seem like it is... It's just that bad.

titolo tradotto male
preso in unlimited
quattro stelle

Series review - these were an enjoyable read! The characters were layered with some complexity and interwoven stories that played through the books. No spiciness which was lovely and the themes within touched on a variety of issues. I appreciated the strong characters with good morals who use their skills and powers for good. At times, the plot was totally predictable but it didn’t detract from the enjoyment. I especially appreciated the male friendship that was described between the male characters - they were tight!

This was a quick series read in between books.
These books all had great storylines but whoever was editing these books didn’t do a very good job because sentences were repeated & even whole paragraphs were repeated!!
Also two of the books had 3rd break ups which I am absolutely not a fan of so they always lose an automatic star rating from me.
These books need to be read in order as well to understand the storyline’s.

Fabulous Read

Brian and Ava’s banter caught me in Shane’s book. I fell in love with these two immediately. They have a banter that’s so fun and energetic to read about, you can’t help but love them. But they have a connection to that’s beyond friendship and both have been wounded in completely different ways, but yet made them harden and afraid to fall. But these two when they finally let go of that stubborn will- swoooon. Loved them.

Terrific Read

Brian & Ava was a slow but fulfilling love story. This book was just as good as the 1st one if not better. I was proud of Ava of how she broke away from her family to live her life the way she wanted. I was even prouder of Brian for waiting for her. Watson the cat was a hoot too.

Great read

Really enjoyed this story however it was spiked by a number of repetitions. Obviously the editors missed these. One example was near the beginning of chapter ten where a sentence was duplicated. There were several instances where this occurred. Very distracting

This one is HOT!

A yummy firefighter and a very independent ER doctor that spend 4 years together, but not really together. Pretending they’re just friends, neighbors, coffee buddies. Then her life is in danger & he does everything to keep her safe.

sexy kind fireman and the doctor who learn to love

These are characters you care about as a reader. You want Ava safe but learning to lower her walls and let Brian in and you want Brian to feel that he is enough

Brian and Ava: Firefighter and ER doctor. This was cute and sweet.
Poor author needs an editor though. Lots of duplicated sentences.

Honestly, it was just like the story line in Needed. I still liked it but was bummed by how similar they are and the continued repetitiveness but it was a good story and I’m glad they all came out of everything together and winning!
