I don’t believe in love stories.

I believe in keeping my back to the wall and my emotions locked down tight.

I built my name on discipline—on being the Westwood who never lets anyone close enough to matter.

Which is precisely why I can’t stand her.

She walks into a room like she owns it and challenges me without hesitation.

She calls me calculating. I call her reckless.

Our rivalry is sharp, public, and very real.

Until our families decide our futures for us.

An arranged marriage. Strategic. Mutually beneficial. Inescapable.

The woman I’ve sparred with for years is suddenly the woman wearing my ring.

I could have managed it. Controlled it. Survived it.

If not for the secret I’ve guarded for five years.

I’m already in love with someone else — a woman I’ve never met but confide in nightly.

No names. No faces. Just honesty and a connection that feels dangerously real.

But you can’t marry your pen pal.

And the woman who sets my pulse racing with nothing more than a glare? She has secrets of her own.

Now every argument hums with tension. Every look lingers too long.

The line between hatred and hunger begins to blur, and I find myself wanting the one woman I swore I despised.

This was supposed to be a calculated alliance to protect an empire.

Instead, it’s becoming the one risk I never prepared for.

I agreed to become her husband for the sake of legacy.

But the more I see her—the real her—the more I realize I don’t want to defeat her.

I want to choose her.

And that may cost me everything.

Hated Husband

What happens when you find out your families are planning an arranged marriage for you both. This story is full of drama, typical back and forth banter, flirting and being smitten with each other. There are good things to come. Even when you expect the worst.

I enjoyed it. The enemies to married to lovers was great. The whole PenPal situation was predictable, but I still liked how it played out.
I’m glad this H didn’t have a vacuum obsession like the H did in Book 2 🤪
I’d probably rate the spice 2.5.

Nate Westwood is in Manhattan hoping to purchase the portfolio of billionaire Abram Hinds who is retiring, but unfortunately, one of his arch business enemies, Kate Vanderhaul, is also making a bid since her family helped launch Hinds’ business years ago. As other firms come into play, Kate’s father and Alex Westwood decide to partner up to secure a strong financial alliance and sends Kate to Chicago to assist with the offer to Hinds, and while they profess their mutual disgust with each other, both Kate and Nate deny the smoldering chemistry.

Meanwhile, Nate is faced with the directive from his father to select a bride, and while his preference is Emma, the woman he met online five years ago yet never met, he cannot drag her into the archaic Westwood tradition. So, he makes plans to talk in person, but the wheels of time grind on as both Nate and Kate are swallowed up in creating the perfect pitch to secure the sale. And unbeknownst to them, their parents are scheming in the wings to accommodate each and every condition that Hinds demands.

What another outstanding addition to the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series!
Ali Parker’s writing style invites readers into living theater that gets stronger and more enchanting with each novel, and I laughed out loud at the repartee filled with insults between Nate and Kate. This fast-paced romcom features a slew of wicked smart, adorable siblings, older adults orchestrating their futures, and one surprise after another right up to the very end. Absolutely divine!

Hated Husband is another engaging installment in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series by Ali Parker. This time the story focuses on Nate Westwood and Kate Vanderhaul, whose arranged marriage begins with tension from the very start. Their personalities clash constantly, and the sharp banter between them makes their interactions entertaining and full of energy.

What I really enjoyed about this story is how it adds something extra to the arranged-marriage trope. Both Nate and Kate are strong, successful individuals running major companies, yet they are pushed into a situation neither truly wants. Watching them navigate pride, family pressure, and their own stubbornness adds depth to their relationship.

Another interesting layer is the anonymous online friendships both characters maintain. Through these conversations, they reveal a softer and more honest side of themselves that contrasts with how guarded they are in real life. When those two worlds begin to collide, the story takes some surprising turns that keep the pages moving.

The supporting characters also add warmth and emotion, making the story feel well-rounded and connected to the rest of the series. Overall, this was a fun, drama-filled romance with tension, humor, and a few twists that kept me invested in Nate and Kate’s journey.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

Ali Parker NEVER disappoints and she proved it once again in Hated Husband!. It is time for the last Westwood brother to get married and it has come to no surprise to Nate. He has come to terms that arranged marriages happen in the Westwood family and knew his time would come. But what he didn't count on was falling in love with an online woman that he has been talking to for 5 years, Emma.
He and Kate Vanderhaul have met before and disliked each other instantly. Things have not changed when they meet again. When Nate finds out that it is the very strong willed, hard headed, intelligent, and beautiful Kate that his father has chosen for his wife he is beyond frustrated and doesn't know if he can go through with it. Not only will it mean loosing the woman he loves, Emma, but it will mean being married to someone he can't stand and vice versa. But wait....Kate also has a relationship with an online man for 5 years, CB, that she loves and the thought of ending it has her heartbroken. Will Nate and Kate ever be able to set aside their feelings for each other to make this marriage work for the sake of the family business and its future. What about the love they both have for other people? This is a great, great story and you will absolutely love it!

This is the first book in this series that I have read but the blurb really hooked me. Nate and Kate have know each other for a few years. Their meetings haven’t always been pleasant. Kate thinks Nate is too quiet and opinionated and Nate thinks Kate is too bossy and a workaholic. So imagine their surprise when they find they must work together on a project that is important to both their families. Nate’s family wants to acquire this organization and Kate’s family needs to keep being in charge of it or their company will go bankrupt. Of course the only solution is for these two to marry. But both Kate and Nate are secretly involved in an online romance with each other. This was so sickening cute. The online romance wasn’t as detailed in the book as I may have wanted. But the angst these two experience as they admit to wanting to run away to escape their real lives really tugged at my heartstrings. I enjoyed the book. Great characters, some spicy moments. Loved all the family interactions and interference in their relationship. I will probably read the first six books in this series. Since I’m a serial reader.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy "HATED HUSBAND" I thoroughly enjoyed this interesting, journey with so many emotions, tension, rivalry, wicked feisty banter, twists, secrets revealed, family pressure, keeping you turning the pages.
Nate Westwood & Kate Vanderhaul started off with barely tolerating one another both strong personalities, both running extremely successful Major Companies its easy to reveal things to about one another when online.
Nate & Kate have a much more difficult time with this new arranged marriage between them that his father planned, something neither of them wanted to happen.
Nate knows this means losing Emma who he'd been chatting with online for years to be forced to marry someone he can't tolerate or Kate with him because she had an online relationship as well.
Will Nate & Kate be able to tolerate one another long enough to make this arranged marriage work to get a HEA, its a must read to see what happens when secrets are revealed you won't be disappointed.

Even though Nate has always known that his future involved an arranged marriage to a suitable woman that hasn’t been able to stop him from falling in love with a woman he has never met. Now instead of being able to follow his heart he is being forced into an alliance with Kate, whose previous interactions have been based on animosity rather than attraction.

Kate is strong, independent and no more interested in getting married to Nate than he is. Even if she didn’t find him entitled and difficult there is also the fact that she has given her heart to another man. Let the complications begin!

Both Kate and Nate are resistant to getting married and have preconceived ideas of each other. Spending time together they realize that there is a lot about each other they didn’t know and as they learn more about each other they might just realize what they are truly meant to mean to each other.

In this Westwood book, Ali Parker has added something new to her story telling ..… A little mystery. We still have the need to marry off another Westwood. But this time it is to a very strong willed, intelligent woman. Nate Westwood & Kate Vanderhaul hate each other on site. Both are running very large legacy companies. The characters are well developed. When Emma & CB are introduced into the story you are drawn to the emotion of the characters. Observation: Both patriarchs of their respective families seem to ignore the wishes of their daughter’s. Seems to be a recurring theme with billionaire families. This Westwood book is no exception…. great read & fun to get invested in the outcome.

I just loved Nate and Kate's story. It starts with a deal for both of their families and ends up with them in an arranged marriage agreement. What their families didn't know was they each had secret internet relationships no one else knew about. Choices must be made or do they? You realize early on that Emma and CB are them and they just haven't figured it out yet. As they discover real feelings for each other as Nate and Kate will their discovery come between them and mess up the this huge deal for the Westwood's and Vanderhaul's? Another must read in the series. I hope there are more. I would love to see a match for Will or as maybe hinted Colin.

Hated Husband, book seven in the Billionaire’s Inheritance Arrangement series follows Nate Westwood and Kate Vanderhaul. When Nate and Kate’s fathers both decide to align the families, another marriage is arranged, this time for Nate and Kate who can’t stand one another and are both secretly dating people online, Emma and CB. A strategic, and mutually beneficial, partnership takes place over love, and the woman he once swore he hates is now wearing his ring and sharing his last name. But the more time they spend together, the more the lines blur, and what once was hatred begins to turn into something so much more. But will giving in cost him everything he’s built with Emma?

This is the latest in the Westwood Billionaire Arranged inheritance series. Best read as part of the series as characters from the other books do feature. Westwood and Sons are looking to take over Abram Hinds business, as he has no heirs and wants to retire, however Hinds has some unexpected stipulations that complicate negotiations. Kate Vanderhaul’s family business has been linked to the Hinds company from the beginning, no matter who he sells to they have to keep his account, or their business will go under. Unbeknownst to her parents Kate has been in an online relationship for some years so when an arranged marriage is brokered by her parents with the Westwoods, she is far from happy! Another enjoyable story full of unexpected twists and turns, which I received as an ARC.

Nathaniel Westwood is the next Westwood son on the list. Kate is the only child of a competitor. Their fathers make an arrangement for these two to marry to solidify a huge acquisition. It wouldn't be a good story if there wasn't dama. And these two hate each other on sight.

They work nonstop together. Both of them have an online relationship with someone but neither has used their name. They feel like they are cheating on their on line relationship when the figure out there are sparks between them. Where there are sparks there will be fire. You have to read along to see what happens next.

Could you marry a Westwood?

How refreshing to have a plot twist that's unique and not the boring, overused and rehashed troupes prevalent today. It won't take you long to get emotionally involved with Nate, Kate, Emma and CJ. A spur of the moment wedding at Wrigley Field and other surprising twists. The characters are well developed and likable. The twist with the online personalities added a lot to the story. No spoiler, but you'll love this. Overall, a great book that was a fun read. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review

4.5 stars! This is a rival to lovers' story with some good twists. Nate never thought he would have to go the arranged marriage route though his brother and sister has already done it. It's for the legacy to make sure the family has the right alliance and a multibillion-dollar client resting on him marrying a woman he despises is a hard pill to swallow, or is it? Characters are well developed and the storyline keeps your interest to the end. Enjoy!

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

Nate and Kate, read this and see how it all goes down, you will love it!
I feel like I know this Westwood family so well and these men are what every woman wants eventually! I do think Kate was made for him. To learn to trust and really know them first, falling in love before ever meeting in person, wouldn't that be something? The supporting characters are always fantastic! Thank you Ali what a magnificent book, you never disappoint!

This is book 7 in the author’s series the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement. This story stars Nathanial and Kate. Nathanial is one of the Westwood’s and they have marriage arrangements, he’s always known he wasn’t going to fall in love. Kate Vanderhaul is chosen and little does she know, but she’s picked by her family to save their company and their best client, her godfather which she can’t stand. Poor girls like the family cow being traded for some magic beans but the story is complicated and you’ll get your romance and then some. Five big stars.

This story has some interesting characters who find it necessary to escape into a simpler personality. Nate is an uptight Westwood who believes that an arranged marriage can be successful. Kate is a strong woman who is bringing her family back from ruin. She is a BOSS in a male dominated world. I loved her apparent confidence, quick mind, and blunt honesty. I hung onto each word waiting for Emma and CB to learn the truth. What am I talking about you ask? READ the book to find out😂!

This Bookfunnel ARC is an excellent Ali Parker book.

It’s Nate Westwood’s time to marry. When he is sent to purchase a portfolio for his family’s business he if faced against Kate Vanderhaul who he says he doesn’t like. When their fathers decide the two of the families should join forces to seal the deal this has Kate and Nate working together and possibly be the one his father wants him to marry?
This is another wonderful book from Ali. It had several twists and surprised along with the chemistry between Nate and Kate. Job well done. I was honored to receive an arc copy and I am freely leaving my honest review.

Another arranged marriage for a Westwood, it's Nate's turn. Again the marriage is part of a contract to take over a family owned business. Nate is to marry the owner's godchild, Kate. They are always bickering with each other, that they don't know how to be nice to each other. They each also have an online friend they need to break things off with before they marry. Watch as their story unfolds...

This is book 7 of the billionaire inheritance arrangement series which the story is about the last Westwood brother Nate and Kate who he arranges to Marry.
The plot has its ups and downs. Its a book I couldn't put down. Both have online penpals who they both share details about themselves.
Will they get married and live happily ever after or will the secrets effect their lives. You will have to read this book to find out.
Thanks Ali!

I really enjoyed this story. Nate and Kate were a good match and the underlying relationship as CB and Emma was enjoyable. I thought the plot and characters were well developed and the conflict and banter were enjoyable. The story held my attention well and I liked the way things came together for Nate and Kate to get their HEA. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this arranged marriage romance. It has the most wonderful twist, which the reader will figure out right away, but it still made the story more intriguing! I love how prior, and new, characters are woven into the story, so a reader who may have read the others gets a peek into favorite characters lives! I love that Ali delivers just the right amount of story and romance in everything she writes!

I’m a huge fan and have read most of this authors books. I absolutely love the Westwood books but I have to say, this one is not my favorite. I felt that it was a bit on the slow side which I have never felt from this author. The story was still good as well as the characters within so if you have not read any of this series yet, I suggest you start with the first book so you don’t get lost on The Who is Who and where they fit in.

Nate is one of the six Westwood siblings. He’s all about control and discipline, until he’s forced into an arranged marriage-surprise!!

Nate has anonymously writing to and falling for a mysterious woman online for years. The bond he shares with this unseen pen pal adds a lot of suspense as his feelings for Kate begin to grow.

This slow-burn romance will keeps you invested. Also nice to see previous characters.

Love this family!!

I'm sad! The series is over!
I have loved every one!

A pen pal love? Hmmm!

Hard to believe Nate had been online with his pen pal for five years without meeting!

An arranged marriage with Kate!
How could he do that to Her!?
His pen pal.

I guessed but loved it anyway!

Highly entertaining, like always!

Cute book in the series.
Nate & Kate are both in committed online relationships, and decide to meet their others from never meeting online.
And then these two come face to face for a business conference.
They have been at war for years.
But as with all the other stories in this series, they go through some ups and downs and get to an amazing ending.

Nate & Kate

Nate Westwood and Kate Vanderhaul are the main characters in Hated Husband. Their story is more convoluted than the normal Ali Parker romance novel, but in a great way. The added twist to their tale makes it really hard to put down. I guarantee you'll love this one!
