Another success by this author! She has a gift with getting both plot and spice into a novel in a great balance. This is a follow up to another book which I would recommend reading first. Kai is DS who finds a relative murdered at a crime scene. The mystery of who is doing it is and tracking him down is good. Such conflict when bad guys die but they deserved it. Her romance with Elena is wonderful as they actually share and communicate well. Love some of the scenes of them together liking running in pre-dawn London in the snow. Elena is still being menaced by a psychopathic killer who is fixated on her. That second thread winds through to an epic conclusion. And the side characters are excellent! Roishin, a niece, and Georgial O'Keefe, a partner, really shine as does Malachy a nasty villian brother. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

There's absolutely nothing quite like a gritty cop with a rough family history and a soft spot a mile wide...... even if she tries not to show the soft side to anyone except those closest to her. DS Kai Gibson is one of the best and the DS Gibson Lesfic Thriller series by Natalie Debrabandere has rapidly turned into one of my all time favourites. Like the first book in the series (Switching Lanes) this one is intense and action packed and I absolutely loved it. I'm really hoping there is more to come in this series.

Excellent Again
Well another page turner from this author. Once i started reading i could not put the book down.
Catching up on Kai and Elena and the mafia members of the family took you back to the first book,so it refreshed your memory on that story.
Hope the author does not wait to long to release book 3 as the story of DS Gibson is so compelling and you want to know what happens next.
Highly Recommended.

Enjoyed it
This is a well-written thriller, as are all of this authors books. Enjoyable suspense, spice and plot and characters. The ending leaves the possibility of another installment, which I look forward to.

Fun read!
Lots of action & suspense. Kai & Elena are back along with their supporting characters, whose own stories get flushed out more in this sequel. This is building up to be a great series & I’m crossing my fingers there will be more.

Kai's family drama kicks off in this second book and more than one person is out for vengeance.
As always I was hooked from the first page. I love that Natalie writes about strong, confident sexy women. Another excellent book.
