There’s a mob of Jokerized madmen in Gotham City, and they’re determined to spread the virus into the world beyond… but they’re gonna have to get past Batgirl first! There are no words that can describe “The Battle For The Burnside Bridge”– you’ve got to see it to believe it!
I am annoyed that I spent 3 bucks on this because it's only worth .50 cents. The art is okay but there is literally no story, Batgirl just saves people from infected joker zombies. There is no reason as to why the zombies are there or why the girl she saves does not become infected. It is just a stupid action scene were everyone knows the end result.
The art in this was cool but considering the fact that I don't plan on reading the entire Endgame arc, I'm not entirely sure why I picked it up. I'm behind on my Goodreads challenge; yup, that's probably it.
I enjoyed the way they told this story without any speech bubbles and the art was pretty cool too, but in the end this was just about saving a bunch of people from Joker "zombies" once again. Unique story-telling (yes, I know this has been done before, but it's rare) with nothing to tell... Fun short, but forgetable read overall.
It's amazing how quickly a comic can go by when it has no dialogue (except for the one line at the end). It's nice seeing Batgirl save people, but it feels like not much really happened to warrant this filling out an entire issue. The art is decent, but not great.
I picked up this brief little wordless comic at my local comics shop because I heard that the artwork was gorgeous (I fact, when I bought it the comics store dude gushed about it) and it really is gorgeous and emotive. I don't really know anything about Batgirl or the DC universe (outside the Arrow TV show), but you really don't need to to enjoy this one because it's just such a visual treat. (Also, this reminds me that I need to pick up the Batgirl reboot that everyone is talking about.)
An aside: The ads in this comic seem more obnoxiously obvious than I'm used to.
