Meh. We learn what the Sirens did to get banished, we see Starswhirl the Bearded in I believe some of his young-ish years (still has big poofy white beard, but not nearly as long as in the show/when he is shown in other comics). Starswhirl transports the Sirens from Canterlot to the Mirror-verse where the Equestria Rocks movie then begins.

I was thinking that this would be something else. I don't know, it felt more like it should have been a four page side story at the end of one of the comics than a standalone.

I am wondering where this takes place in the Pony timeline, as the first two took place while the Two Sisters were ruling, before Nightmare Moon, but there is only mention of Celestia in this one, and with the Colteseum, it seems that it might take place before the other two comics. Weird thing to ask, I know, but I like knowing timelines.

Also, how did the Sirens end up in present day Mirror-verse when they should have been in the ye olde tyme Mirror-verse instead? I guess Starshwirl's magic mirror had some lag that it needed to clear up that caused it to keep the packet until after the first movie's adventures....

This has got to be my favorite of the Fiendship is Magic series! The Sirens aren't my favorite villains ever, but they're definitely creepy and effective. What really makes me love this comic is the humor sprinkled throughout and the way Starswirl the Bearded tries to fight the Sirens. I wasn't totally satisfied with the conclusion and how easy it was for him to just resort to the mirror, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

This was more what I was looking for. This was less about how the Sirens became evil and more about what they did to be banished. It also was a good way to introduce new music to the Pony culture. Nothing groundbreaking, but cute and what you would expect.

It is a good book I love how it explains who the ssirens were. This is where they got the idea of a music competition

SPOILERS
I love the part where the ssirens get taken into the human world. And when Starswirl invents rap.

Goofy tone and the weaker of the Fiendship mini-series... BUT does show ancient pony times and Starswirl the Bearded.
