What do you think?

Before the Labels: The labels we give ourselves, and the ones we give each other...
Some books offer answers. The most memorable ones inspire better questions.
Before you were old enough to choose for yourself, you inherited beliefs, labels, opinions, traditions, and assumptions about the world around you. But how many of them are truly yours?
In Before the Labels, Siobhán Bridget Kennedy explores the conversations most people lying and honesty, judgment and forgiveness, faith beyond religion, divorce, death, intuition, enabling versus supporting, and the difficult truths that shape every human life. Rather than telling you what to think, she invites you to think more deeply for yourself.
Built around powerful, stand-alone chapters drawn from real-life experiences, this thought-provoking blend of life philosophy, personal growth, spirituality outside religion, and human connection allows you to begin wherever your curiosity leads. Open to any chapter and discover an idea that challenges, unsettles, or affirms something you've always believed.
This isn't a book about choosing sides. It's about looking beyond the labels we've inherited and finding the courage to ask better questions. You may not agree with every chapter. But chances are, you'll keep thinking about them long after you've turned the final page.
Challenge what you've been taught. Trust your gut. Find the wisdom that exists before the labels.

Interesting and thought provoking read. Love how transparent the author is about her personal experiences and opinions, without making you feel like you have to see things her way. Great book to discuss at dinner parties, book clubs or anywhere you want to spark up conversation and hear different perspectives on hot topics. Highly recommended!
