Kylie Edwards is a beautiful bride that gets the shock if her life on her way to her wedding. She learns her fiancé is not at all the kind of man she wants to spend forever with and cancels her big day. Now she’s done with men like her ex and men like her dad; big CEO types that don’t care about anyone but themselves. Kylie going to Vegas to let off some steam and hopefully get a little work done by landing a contract interior designing the hotel and casino she’s staying at.
Jake Royale is a big CEO type with relationship issues of his own. His business is losing money thanks to the casino next door and he’s hoping a reboot from Kylie will help pick things up. Only when he first meets Kylie there is a miscommunication about whom he is and she outright lies about her identity.
They lied to each other, no dating, just a weekend of sex and no real start to a relationship especially since the heroine didn't even live in Vegas she was only there for work. Then we jump six months later and a night of pillow talk where they miraculously seem to know everything about one another and boom they get married.
Both characters were somewhat whiney and the sex was okay but overall and I think I would have been happier with their happy for now ending prior to the last chapter which seemed to rush a relationship that wasn't really there.
I normally enjoy one night stand that turns into more romances but unfortunately this book didn't work for me. There was no real relationship and so this story was disappointing.

In the beginning of the book, we meet interior designer Kylie Edwards. Her life has fallen apart and she is devastated by a betrayal of the worst kind from her fiancé. She finds out in the worst way from her friend and maid of honor that she slept with her fiancé, on the way to the church’. Kylie had a melt down after this, she just wanted to slowly fade away because the man she thought loved her and a man she loved fully, cheated on her and was doing it during their courtship. She didn’t know what was true and what a lie in their relationship was. After realizing its time to let it go and move on from her near miss and just stay away from men like her ex-, She decides to just forget about men and make her professional life the one and only in her life. Her two friends have a convention in Las Vegas and she has some business there as well so off they go.
Here we get to meet Jake Royale who is the sexy owner of the hotel Kylie is staying at. He is a take charge kind of guy.Kylie mistakes him for the head security guard and he doesn’t correct that mistake. Kylie is supposed to be giving some business speech/ideas to the owner of the company and if he likes her ideas, he will hire Kylie and her company. On the day she arrives at the hotel, she comes upon the Tic Tac thief and this is where the comedy of errors start and Kylie and Jake start off with giving false identities to each other, all to keep their real identities a secret and to protect each other. You probably wonder why to protect what—you need to read the story to find out. I won’t give away spoilers. You start to see who Kylie is- spirited, headstrong and not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. But also, you see she is bothered by misleading Jake about her real name and continuing the charade. There is a battle within herself but she continues. Same said for Jake- because of him being the owner of the hotel, he doesn’t want to be liked for being rich and he is trying to find out what is going on in his hotel .
The chemistry is there and present- its explosive. But it’s a ticking time bomb because when Kylie finds out who Jake really is , she will go Nuke- She doesn’t want anything to do with rich men anymore, since what happened with her ex-fiancé. The feelings that MC have for each is so real and you can tell the fact they are hiding who they are from each other is wearing and its pains them. There are some twists and turns toward the end which is terrific. My only two grips that I have is this is a short story (130 pages) so I would have liked a little more story and would have loved to have seen something happen to the maid of honor and the cheating ex fiancé-more of a revenge type written in so the reader knows they got what was due them. Overall this is a good story, the MC have a great chemistry and the premise is one I can buy. I liked knowing there are other stories going on at the same time also worked but the author at same time kept the focus on Jake and Kylie. Would like to see another story written in this world and get to revisit Jake and Kylie , Ashlyn, Mark, Mason, and Sara.

I thought this story would be cute when I started it, especially with the idea of girlfriends kidnapping Kylie and taking her to a romance writers convention. It was very cute when they arrived and there was squealing over the big name authors attending. I can see that happening in real life.
Unfortunately, after that, the story got a bit tedious and I did not like Kylie and her issues. I sympathised with her since she had a rotten ex who cheated on her with her maid of honor and found out about it at the worst possible time but I could not connect with her as a person and I didn't like her. I particularly did not like her lumping all men who are CEOs into one great big bucket and labeling them as "all CEOs are scum" which unfortunately puts Jake in a very difficult position.
I liked Jake well enough and I felt for him because he first was in a situation of mistaken identity and then after finding out how Kylie felt about CEOs could not easily reveal to her he was one such CEO for fear of losing her. A very difficult situation to be in.
I'm not a fan of deception of any sort so even that little bit of it, however inadvertent turned me off the story as well. I did not have the patience to read on to find out how he comes clean with Kylie and how she would react (probably poorly!) and since I was not keen on the story anyway, I didn't read on.

This a short but quite enjoyable read! Kylie is in Vegas to meet with the owner of the hotel she's staying at for business. She and her friends decide to make the most of the trip and have fun while they're there. Kylie ends up meeting Jake before her meeting with him. Due to a little bit of confusion, she thinks his name is Macon and that he's head of security. When Jake hears her use the wrong name, he doesn't correct her because he wants to see if a girl could like him without knowing who he is. Turns out to be a big mistake because they're falling for each other quick. Will she be able to forgive him for not telling the truth?
Masquerading with the CEO is a quick read but a nice one. It's fun and sweet, plus Kylie and Jake together definitely generates the heat! It's a lighthearted story that has the perfect pace and just the right amount of conflict. Even though some might say it's too short, I say it was just right to tell Kylie and Jake's story. Dawn Chartier brought it and I'm looking forward to more by her!

3.5 I had nothing without you stars
This is a super sweet romance that had tons of potential but with it being cut off its very rushed. I do have to say the book and blurb differentiated so that was nice surprisingly
What happens when you weekend of sex in vegas with a stranger turns into sex with your new CEO!
The book is only 130 ish pages.. I did not read the other books in the series but im 100 % betting they can all be standalones~!

This story line is good but kind of short. I would have like more developement with the other casino owner and why so many employees would just up and leave instead of saying something to their boss first. And the fact that she got the design for the casino and got her promotion after saying there was no way her father would ever give it to her was kind off.

Masquerading with the CEO is the fourth book in the What Happens In Vegas continuity series by Entangled Lovestruck. Written by new to be me author, Dawn Chartier, Masquerading with the CEO is the story of Kylie Edwards, a once idealistic woman determined to avoid dating powerful and wealthy men like her cheating CEO ex-fiancé, and hotel and casino owner, Jake Royale, a man desperate to be accepted for who he is and not what he does or how much money he has in the bank. When an opportunity to hide his identity presents itself via a case of mistaken identity, Jake runs with it, but in keeping it a secret afterward, he risks losing the best thing that has ever happened to him.
I enjoyed this story a lot. It’s a quick, well-written read that starts out with a situation familiar to most romance readers, a cheating fiancé, but Kylie’s hurt, and her later desire to move on from her disappointment and upset and also prove herself to her father, is what keeps this particular book from being like so many others that start out with this same kind of circumstance.
I have to say, it was really refreshing to read this book and see a fair bit of differences from books with similar themes and circumstances. I also enjoyed reading how a once starry-eyed, romance-minded Kylie overcame her unexpected heartbreak to even try to give a man like Jake a chance with her.
When we first meet Jake, it’s obvious that he’s stressed-out and ill-content with his current life situation. He knows something is missing, but he can’t quite figure out what it is. Until he meets Kylie, that is, and her feisty spirit makes him want to get to know her better.
Kylie is understandably bitter and resentful about the way her ex-fiancé treated her, and it colors the way she views other men like him. Powerful, wealthy men like Jake. And yet, in thinking Jake is only the security guard for the hotel, she finds herself attracted to him, and willing to get to know him despite not actually wanting a relationship. Of course, the fact that Jake doesn’t immediately correct her misconception of his identity puts a mark against him, but because he has his own issues with trusting people and he wants the chance to get to know Kylie without his money and status as Masquerade’s owner in the way, it’s almost understandable that he keeps his real name a secret from her. Because he needs her to see the man and not the owner of the hotel.
Both characters want the same thing, acceptance and approval, though they want that for very different reasons. And while there were a few issues with predictability and clichéd interactions, as well as a few hard to accept circumstances in a few parts of this story, there were just as many fresh and unique surprises because the author didn’t always go where I expected with the story, or have things revealed the way I thought they might come out. It really made for an interesting read, and the characters were far from ordinary as well. In fact, I liked both Kylie and Jake, and I enjoyed them getting to know each other quite a bit.
If you want a fun, enjoyable romance that can be read in one sitting, I recommend reading Masquerading With the CEO by Dawn Chartier. It’s a good romance read, and perfect for fans who love mistaken identity stories.

I can never pass up a chance to read about how a woman who's been betrayed by those closest to her finally finds her happiness, so I was immediately interested when I read the blurb for MASQUERADING WITH THE CEO.
When Kylie Edwards finds out on her wedding day that her fiancé has been cheating on her with her maid of honor and best friend, she calls off the wedding and holes up in her apartment until her friends whisk her off to Vegas for a weekend of fun. Before Kylie can begin the fun part of her trip, she has one assignment: as an up and coming designer in her father's interior design firm, she has pitch her ideas to casino CEO Jake Royale, who is looking to spruce up his casino. With her fiancé 's deceit and her father's emotional disinterest in her since her mother's death, Kylie has come to the conclusion that CEOs are emotionless and wants nothing to with any of them, so once her meeting is done, she plans to kick up her heels and enjoy herself, Vegas-style.
Kylie's first memorable encounter in Vegas is with an attractive guy making off with some tic-tacs from the hotel shop and even though she is attracted to him, thieves rank as high as cheating CEOs on her list of dislikes and she's determined to ignore the attraction until she discovers that the casino CEO is a tic-tac junkie and his craving is always satisfied by his chief of security, Macon. The guy actually is Jake and when he overhears her expressed dislike for CEOs and she mistakes him for his chief of security, he decides to take advantage of the misconception and explore his attraction to her without his job and wealth getting in the way. He takes the deception too far when he proceeds to wine, dine and bed her under an assumed name but will Kylie walk away from the best thing to happen to her because of that deception? Especially when she had also lied about her identity initially and had already pre-judged him?
Ms. Chartier is a new-to-me author and I enjoyed MASQUERADING WITH THE CEO because of the cute and sweet story and her writing style. Even though the story is short, Jake and Kylie were well-developed and likable characters and she was able to pack quite a lot into it. In addition to the romance playing out between Kylie and Jake, there is the competitor trying to sabotage Jake's casino by stealing his employees and also Kylie's dysfunctional relationship with her father and her fruitless desire for his approval.
I only wish the book had been longer because there are a few things I would have loved to see the end of, like her relationship with her father and what happened to her ex-friend, Jan. I still enjoyed it because in the end, she found her HEA with Jake and got the professional validation she always wanted.

Kylie's first memorable encounter in Vegas is with an attractive guy making off with some tic-tacs from the hotel shop and even though she is attracted to him, thieves rank as high as cheating CEOs on her list of dislikes and she's determined to ignore the attraction until she discovers that the casino CEO is a tic-tac junkie and his craving is always satisfied by his chief of security, Macon. The guy actually is Jake and when he overhears her expressed dislike for CEOs and she mistakes him for his chief of security, he decides to take advantage of the misconception and explore his attraction to her without his job and wealth getting in the way. He takes the deception too far when he proceeds to wine, dine and bed her under an assumed name but will Kylie walk away from the best thing to happen to her because of that deception? Especially when she had also lied about her identity initially and had already pre-judged him?
Ms. Chartier is a new-to-me author and I enjoyed MASQUERADING WITH THE CEO because of the cute and sweet story and her writing style. Even though the story is short, Jake and Kylie were well-developed and likable characters and she was able to pack quite a lot into it. In addition to the romance playing out between Kylie and Jake, there is the competitor trying to sabotage Jake's casino by stealing his employees and also Kylie's dysfunctional relationship with her father and her fruitless desire for his approval.
I only wish the book had been longer because there are a few things I would have loved to see the end of, like her relationship with her father and what happened to her ex-friend, Jan. I still enjoyed it because in the end, she found her HEA with Jake and got the professional validation she always wanted.

Kylie Edwards discovers, on her wedding day, no less, that her fiance has been cheating on her with one of her best friends. Said best friend actually feels that she needs to come clean in the limo on the way to the wedding, in fact. Kylie doesn't go through with the wedding, of course, but before she can wallow herself too deeply into a pit of despair, her two best friends drag her off to Vegas for a romance book convention. Apparently, it works out because Kylie needed to go to Vegas anyway to meet with the owner of a hotel about redoing the design there. (She's an interior designer) While there, she meets Jake, who she mistakenly thinks is named Macon and is the head of hotel security, but is actually the owner of the hotel. Hijinks ensue.
This one didn't work me. Kylie's response to finding out that her fiance is cheating on her, besides calling off the wedding, is to swear off CEOs. Not only is the ex the CEO of something, but her dad is the CEO of the design firm where she works, and they don't get along. I'm not sure why she works for him in that case, but she does and it has turned her off of high-powered men. I didn't really understand that leap. Jake overhears her talking about that to one of her friends, so decides to let her continue thinking he's Macon, the head of security. She's very indignant over this when she finds out, despite the fact that she gave him a fake name as well, for reasons I didn't understand. If she thought he was Macon, then she shouldn't have been worried about him recognizing her name from the meeting she had scheduled with Jake, which would have been the only reason I could come up with for her lying about her name. When her friend asks her why she lied, she just shrugs and says "I freaked." I don't know what she freaked about, exactly.
A lot of this book was like that for me. There were a lot of things mentioned then discarded. Her ex shows up one night out of nowhere, Kylie stomps off in indignation, then he's never mentioned again. There's the fact that she works with a father she doesn't get along with, but we never find out exactly what's behind that, either. There's a rival casino owner who's stealing employees and is always over at Jake's casino for nefarious purposes, but other than a throw away "turns out that's illegal" line toward the end, we never actually find out what happens with that. Does that mean Jake blackmailed him to stop employee poaching? Did he have him arrested? We never find out.
I think the fact that this is a novella hurt the story. This story and these characters could have used more time to be fleshed out, which I think would have helped. As it was, the entire thing seemed very rushed.

This was a quick, fun read. I love the Vegas trope and expected things to move quickly – it is Vegas! – but this one still left me wanting a little bit more. Like with many novellas I read, the story felt a bit rushed and the ending ties things up but leaves lots for the reader to fill in.
I really liked Jake. He’s sexy, successful, and is at the point in his life where he wants more than one night stands and relationships that are based on his balance sheet, not who he is. When he gets involved with Kylie he keeps his identity a secret, liking the fact that her not knowing who he ensures she wants him and not his money. Of course keeping that secret will only lead to trouble…and knowing Kylie wants nothing to do with CEO types, this secret has the power to end a relationship that really hasn’t had a chance to begin.
Kylie was a mix for me. I didn’t really like her, but I admired her drive and desire to prove herself to her father and earn her position in his company. I got frustrated with her hating on all CEO types because of what her ex-fiancé did – it didn’t seem fair to punish all successful men because her ex was a scumbag who cheater on her.
Jake and Kylie definitely had chemistry, and watching Jake spoil Kylie was totally swoon-worthy. They both are guilty of keeping secrets, and when things finally come to a head, both of them have some explaining to do!
There were a few things that seemed unresolved to me, and the story jumps ahead sixth months later at the end and had me scratching my head and trying to fill in some of the blanks. But, if you are looking for a light, fun, Vegas read then this one fits the bill.

“…I want someone to wake up with every morning. I want someone to truly love me.”I enjoyed both the love story and writing style; an incredible introduction to author Dawn Chartier. I am not an admirer of the mistaken identity troupe; even less when the deception continues beyond initial introductions. The blurb was slightly misleading; it led me to believe it was a single night of dishonesty. I would not have taken a chance on this story, but I glad that I could not resist reading it. I would have been disappointed if I had missed this 4-star read.
Today is Kylie Edwards wedding day; she is moments away from becoming Mrs. Brett McAllister. Jake Royale is the owner of the casino hosting the masquerade ball. Dropping his recognized and highly sought after profile, Jake hides behind his mask for the night. Spending a night with Kylie is hot and passionate, but it also backs him into a corner. While Kylie's design could bring his casino back up to the top where it belongs, he would have to admit to his true identity.
Masquerading with the CEO is sexy, steamy, Vegas fun. Jake is the full package - smart, sexy, and successful and Kylie herself is strong, talented, and sweet. The two of them definitely have a connection, but with Jake hiding his identity and Kylie determined to pitch her idea to the casino owner (aka Jake), trouble is bound to happen and while Jake and Kylie may not have been looking for more than one night, the truth might break both their hearts.
The only flaws were that I found myself yelling "Just tell the truth! Tell her who you are!" quite a bit. Continuing the charade just seemed to make things worse. Also, I really kind of wanted to see Kylie's ex and her maid of honor have some horrible happen to them that made them kind of wake up and realize how awful they are, but I often wish that in books that feature this kind of scenario.
Masquerading with the CEO is a fast paced and enjoyable book. I found myself rooting for this couple from the get go. I really liked their chemistry and the characters themselves.

Whilst in the limousine on the way to get married, bride to be Kylie Edwards is told by her so called best fried that she’s been sleeping with Kylie’s husband-to-be. Devastated by this, Kylie has sworn not to have anything to do with high powered men ever again. Rather than letting her drown her sorrows, two other friends take her off to Las Vegas where they’re attending a romance conference and Kylie can pitch her design ideas to the casino and hotel owner where they’ll be staying. On their first day she encounters the Tic Tac thief and so starts a tale of masquerade as both pretend to be different people to protect their true identity. Despite this, their mutual attraction is dynamite but can love develop where there are so many lies? What will happen when all is revealed?

There seemed to be lots of other side stories hinted at but, because the story is so short, there wasn’t enough time to do anything but hint at them, teasing the reader to want to know more. The main characters interactions, lies and reactions made it difficult to empathise with them - at times I felt like telling them to grow up! There’s some humour, lots of hot sexual activity (too much detail for me, especially in such a short story) and a potential HEA. Great start, easy read for when you want to read something but don’t have hours spare in which to do so.

Masquerading with the CEO by Dawn Chartier, is a quick read with lots of sexy times. In fact, Chapter Nine is almost completely devoted to the hot, scorching act of love. The beginning is exciting, but I found most of the plot to be lacking real depth.
On the way to the church, in a beautiful white limo, Kylie's maid of honor lets the cat out of the bag. She and Kylie's fiancee are sleeping together. Naturally the wedding does not take place, and Kylie retreats to her apartment for endless crying and moping. Now it is a week later and she is reluctantly leaving her apartment for Sin City. Her two girlfriends have a romance writers convention to attend and Kylie now has an account she needs to procure.
Kylie is an interior designer for her father's very successful design firm, and she finally convinced him to let her sell her ideas to Jack Royale, the CEO and owner of Masquerade. Jack's casino requires a little cosmetic lift in order to stay ahead of the competition. Both Kylie and Jack are not looking for love, however their attraction is too great to ignore. I have to agree with everyone that has said this was a quick read. It is short but very sassy.
On the way to her wedding Kylie's maid of honor confesses that she has been sleeping with her soon to be husband. Needless to say Kylie doesn't go through with the wedding.
After a week of self pity her two girlfriends talk her into going to Vegas for a romance conference. Kylie has another plan in mind. While she is there, she is going to pitch her interior decorating ideas to the hotel owner. But first she is going to enjoy the masquerade ball being held for the romance conference. and if she happens to find a man to hook up with and forget the travesty of her almost marriage so much the better.
When she runs into Jake at the masquerade ball she decides he is just what she was looking for and decides to spend the night with him. Neither one of them reveal who they really are and this sets up the rest of the story.
When will Jake admit to her that he is the owner of the hotel and when he does will Kylie be able to forgive the lie after her whole wedding fiasco.
I found myself alternating between cheering for the two of them to be together and yelling at them for being so stupid to not admit who they were to each other so they could have the happily ever after.

Short and Sweet review, just like the book.
I did enjoy Masquerading with the CEO by Dawn Chariter. The book was cute and sweet. Not much going on plot wise. If you like short & cute books with minimal conflict, then I would suggest giving this book a try. I do wish that this novella would have been longer so I could have gotten to know the characters more.
One thing that I always have a problem with in Novella’s (Short books) is that I don’t get more time to see their character grow and get to know more about their back story/life. And that is kind of an issue with me. If I don’t connect with the characters then the book is pretty much doomed. But, for this being short it was an enjoyable read. I did like the characters. I didn’t love them or anything but they were enjoyable. And their friends. It was cute and a simple love story. I will be reading more by this author in the future. But, it will not be at the top of my TBR list.

I really enjoyed this read. It was short and hot, but also had a lot in it. After reading another book in the Vegas series and being disappointed, I was wary about reading another. However, this was a great little read I couldn't put down.
The main thing I liked about Masquerading With The CEO was it was written well. Even though it was a short story the author some how managed to suck me into her world. It felt like I was there with the characters and there was a surprising amount of depth. Sure, background weren't delved into greatly, but there was enough to understand Jake and Kylie's motives for what they were doing.
Another thing that surprised me was how well I grew to like Jake and Kylie. There was a lot of chemistry between them for such a short time period, yet it was believable. You wanted them to get their HEA. Besides that, other scenes between them were just incredibly hot.

This story in the Lovestruck genre is a novella so it was a bit fast paced. A lot was told in a short time frame. Kylie has been screwed over and hurt by men high-powered positions. First her father then her cheating ex-fiancé. Now she’s through with men in general, especially men with tons of money. Kylie is intensely attracted to Jake but only because she doesn’t know his real name and job title. Kylie only plans to have one hot night with a down to earth casino security guy. What she ends up with is a smoking hot hotel and casino owner. Jake is fascinated with Kylie when he literally bumps into her. Once her learns about her painful past with powerful men, her decides to keep his true identity a secret for the time being so she’ll have an opportunity to get to know Jake as a man. Once every secret is revealed, Jake has is work cut out to convince Kylie that he is not like those jackasses from her past. I liked this novella so I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.

When Kylie Edwards learns from her Maid of Honor and best friend that she had an affair with her fiancee on her way to her wedding [I know right, what a bitch], she is devastated. Following some serious moping, her friends Ashlyn and Sara drag her to Vegas [because there is nothing Vegas can't fix].
In Vegas Kylie meets a very handsome and very interested CEO, Jake Royale who wants to be like for more than his wallet [aww what a sweety], so when he is mistaken for his head of security Macon, he decides to play along.
The story was sweet and fun. It was a short read and steamy read that is perfect for relaxing. We very good lead characters and supporting characters. I will say that I hope down the line we see books for Macon, Ashlyn and Sara; oh and maybe a little more of Kylie and Jake, this story was very addictive.

I received a copy of this story through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing for an honest review. This was a great short read. I liked the book being set in Las Vegas at an author's convention and how the characters fangirl over other (and real life!) writers. The book had a nice blend of chemistry between the characters and humor. The scene where Kylie gets drunk and they later get together kind of got off track for me for a blip. Both characters picked up southern accents (y'all, and other words dropping the 'g' not usually found in Phoenix/Las Vegas)? The story is told in alternating points of view and I liked getting to read what both are thinking throughout the book. Overall, I really enjoyed this story.

This is a fun, quick, sexy read. There isn't any real depth to the story, but for those times when you just want something fun and entertaining, this is a good one. I definitely recommend it.

This was a very lighthearted fun romance story to read. Jake started out as an every day normal fun hot guy to a very intense sexy smoking alpha male. Grab a fan on that part. Kylie and Jake's chemistry was immediate and a whole lot of fun. They were both leary of trying anything more than a one night stand, but their bodies and hearts spoke for more.
I liked that both Kylie and Jake were hesitant about getting involved with each other, they held themselves maturely and thought things through. There was no unnecessary drama and a real understanding of how to handle each other. I thoroughly enjoyed their ending, so very sexy and romantic.

This ARC looked good. I'm just not so sure how I feel about the characters. Kylie and Jake both lie to each other in the beginning about who they are for certain reasons. However Kylie holds it against Jake in the end. I felt it was a bit hypocritical and hard to keep focused on it.
It was a short read and I just wasn't that huge of fan of Kylie. There was mystery going on with Mark, and the surprise appearance of the ex. I mean there could have been more to do with those side stories but they were sort of flashes adn maybe that was why I disconnected from the story.

This was given to me (via Netgalley) in exchange for an honest review.
It talks about a woman who got her heart broken by her ex-fiancée and best friend. Since then, she swore she won't ever date a CEO ever again... Not until she laid her eyes on Jake Royale who introduced himself as Macon.
It was hard to get into it, but once I've reach the half of the book, it started to get a little bit more interesting. It's very easy to read because it's short and fast-paced.
Although, I didn't connect to any of the characters in this book. I love that it's fast-paced, but the romance was happening way too fast in a very unrealistic way.
Overall, this was a nice read.

This is your typical read about a jaded girl who has been hurt before and then she meets the guy who is going to change her mind except he's pretending to NOT be the millionaire casino owner. God love her heart, I wanted to shake her because it was pretty obvious what was going on but I guess good sex blinds people sometimes. :)
With that being said, I liked this story because it wasn't extremely ridiculous. It was fairly short and I managed to read it in less than an hour. It was pretty developed for being such a short story. I would definitely read this author again with no reservations.

At her wedding, Kylie finds her fiance cheating on her so she runs off to Vegas to with her friends. She's hoping to meet with the hotel's owner to pitch her designs for his hotel. Jake is owner of the hotel but is tired of women wanting him only for his money. So when the hot Kylie mistakens him for the head of security, he goes with it...just wanting a weekend of a woman liking him for HIM. When Kylie realizes the truth, Jack makes a realization also...that he doesn't want to live without her and now has to convince her. This was a new author to me and one I hope to read more from again!

Light, fun, and sexy. Being mistaken for someone else never felt so right. Being able to show your true self before the truth is out may save you a love you waited for. Is it too late though? Will all be forgiven?
Kylie needed to get away and her time in Vegas was work and play but mostly an eye-opening experience that changed her for the good. Who could resist a run-in with Jake and NOT be affected? He was HOT, passionate, and a wounded soul. Shoot he had me at hello and I was a reader.

The situation never seemed very plausible, but then again some of the incidents in the book showed that. I felt like the whole book was very sudden. I mean they just meet and bam in bed then bam long term feelings and a relationship. Especially when she said that's not what she wanted (a CEO type). But I am glad that she gave him a second chance after he told her his real name & job. Good book, but felt like a rushed situation.
